Joshua and Polina

Josh and Polina here, we’re a couple looking for a like-minded single to team up for a rental. Josh works FIFO as a Shutdown Coordinator and Project Manager and is away on average two weeks each month. Polina is a Positive Behaviour Practitioner for the NDOS working full-time in a hybrid role and flys remotely on average eight days a month. We are both starting postgrad study in February - Josh doing an MBA and Polina a Masters in Psychology.

We cook at home most nights and keep things pretty quiet, usually binging streaming shows in bed or on the couch. We still enjoy a good night out, but that’s usually for gigs, shows, or events rather than random nights out. Polina runs or works out most days; Josh is trying to keep up but not quite there yet haha.
We’re both clean and organised but realistic, if the house is a little out of order for a day or two because life got busy for a second noone is going to lose their mind. We’ve never so much as had a bad rental inspection comment in six years living together.

Before settling down, we both worked as scuba diving instructors. Josh across the Caribbean and Pacific, Polina across Southeast Asia and Africa. Backpacking extensively between dive jobs. We share our home with two very spoilt indoor cats, a ragdoll and a rescue, both very well-behaved and very bonded boys, so anyone joining us must be cat-friendly and LGBTQ-friendly.

Our lease ends in January, but we’re happy to move sooner if the right place comes up. We’re mainly looking near the city in areas with a good walking lifestyle like Subiaco, Leederville, Mount Hawthorn, Perth CBD, Mosman Park, or Claremont, though we’d consider coastal spots like Cottesloe or Scarborough if the place feels right. Ideally, it’s a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom minimum (preferably 4-bedroom) so we can have one guest room and one office. We’d take the master with ensuite, and you’d have your own bedroom and bathroom as your space.
