I’m looking to either team up with someone to find a place together or move into an existing dog-friendly home with a room and private bathroom available.
Ideally I’m looking around Bondi, Bondi Junction, Paddington or Woollahra, but I’m open to other areas in the Eastern Suburbs for the right place.
The dream home:
* 2 bed, 2 bath (or 3 bed if we find the right people)
* Courtyard for the dogs
* Air conditioning
* Internal laundry
* Bathtub
* Dishwasher
A little about me…
I’m originally from Brisbane and moved to Sydney a few years ago. I work in HR and am really passionate about people, diversity and inclusion, and creating environments where everyone feels respected and supported.
I mostly work from home and keep pretty busy, but outside of work I’m big on health and wellbeing. I love Pilates, long walks with my dogs, spending time outdoors, and living an active lifestyle. I’m not a drinker or a big partier, and I really value having a calm, relaxing home.
I don’t cook much (I get most of my meals delivered), so the kitchen won’t constantly be in use!
I have two one-year-old Pomeranians who are a huge part of my life. They’re incredibly friendly, love people and other dogs, and are fully toilet trained. They still have that fun puppy energy but have settled down a lot, don’t chew or destroy things, and spend most of the day napping (they happily sleep from around 9pm–6am too!).
One of them is deaf, which just adds to his quirky personality. They’re on the bigger side for Pomeranians (around 7kg each), and even friends who normally aren’t little dog people end up loving them. They definitely have big dog personalities, Louis is convinced he’s a Border Collie at the park 😂 They’ll let you know if someone’s at the door and can get a little noisy when they’re play-fighting, but otherwise they’re very chilled.
I’d also be happy to live with someone who has a friendly older dog or even a puppy, as mine absolutely love having other dogs around. They seem to get along with dogs of all ages, and people at the park are often surprised by how well their older dogs take to mine, even if they usually don’t enjoy being around puppies. They’re also really gentle and patient with younger puppies.
I’m really house-proud and like to keep the place clean, tidy and well looked after. I’m hoping to find someone who’s similar. Respectful, transparent, open, and a good communicator.
I’m pretty social and would love to be friends with my housemate rather than just people sharing a lease. That said, I also really respect having your own space and downtime. I think the best living situations are where you can openly communicate when you feel like hanging out and when you just need a quiet night to yourself.
I enjoy having friends over every now and then for a relaxed dinner or games night, but during the week I really value a peaceful home and a good night’s sleep.
A few practical things:
* I’m actively applying for places and am happy for the lease to be under my name if that makes things easier.
* I don’t have a car, so if the apartment comes with a car space, you’re more than welcome to have it.
* I have some furniture already and am happy to fully furnish the place, or we can combine what we both have.
* Ideally, I’m looking for a female housemate. I’d also be open to finding two female housemates if we decide on a three-bedroom place.
If this sounds like we’d be a good fit, send me a message! I’m more than happy to grab a coffee and bring the dogs along so we can all meet first. Finding the right fit is really important to me, for both us and the dogs. ☕🐾
