Hi! I’m Emily, a 32-year-old Canadian teacher who has recently moved to Sydney for a year on a Working Holiday Visa. I’m a qualified teacher with a Master’s degree and several years of professional teaching experience, and I’m already set up with a Sydney teaching agency for casual work, with the possibility of moving into a contract in 2027.

I’m looking for a studio or one-bedroom apartment that I can really make feel like home while I’m here. Ideally, I’d love a 3–6 month lease to start, with the option to extend through September 2027. I’m looking around Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay, Paddington, Surry Hills, Bondi Junction and Bondi, with a budget of up to $750/week. Furnished or partly furnished both work for me — I’d just need the basics to get started.

Personality-wise, I’m an extroverted introvert: friendly, social and excited to meet people and explore Sydney, but I really value having a calm, clean space to come home to. I love restaurants, live music, vintage shopping, beaches, hiking, camping and travelling, and I’m hoping to join local volleyball and pickleball clubs while I’m here. I’m much more likely to be out exploring the city or having dinner with friends than hosting people at home.

I’m a non-smoker, have no pets or children, and am quiet and respectful at home. I’m financially secure with savings and, for the right place, I’m happy to pay three months’ rent upfront in addition to the bond.

I’ve only just arrived in Sydney, but I’m really craving some stability and a place that feels like my own rather than moving between short-term accommodation. I’m available to inspect immediately and can move in anytime between now and September 27.
