Hanna and Dawson

I'm Hanna (she/her) and I am 24 years old, originally from Vancouver Island, Canada. I have my Bachelor of Education degree and am a certified Elementary/Middle school teacher. I am moving to Melbourne in January 2026 on a 417 working holiday visa with a one-year teaching contract for supply teaching.

A bit about me: I'm super clean, easygoing, and love meeting new people. During the week I'm pretty chill since I work full time Monday to Friday, so I usually keep it low-key with a good movie night or some baking (yes, I’ll probably try to feed you cookies). On the weekends I’m always up for a night out or exploring the city. I’m also into outdoor adventures, trying new things, and making the most of experiencing life in Melbourne
I’ve lived in shared flats before- most recently with three awesome roomies in Sweden in 2024 and had a great time. I have lots of travel experience and plan to do a lot of exploring within Australia and other countries. I'm all about keeping a good vibe at home, being respectful, and making it a place where everyone feels comfortable.

About me: I’ve played lots of sports growing up (soccer, volleyball, softball, golf) and am a very active individual. I love animals and I have 2 cats and a dog back home that I will miss very much! I have worked in hospitality for the last 7 years as a server, bartender and a cart girl at a golf course. I plan to find work in the service industry/hospitality to support myself while in Melbourne. Outside of work, I enjoy going out with friends, clubbing, exploring new places, and trying new things. I do lots of travelling and I’m hoping to travel around Australia while I'm over there. I'm looking for like-minded, chill housemates who enjoy a social vibe but also respect each other's space.
