Hey I'm Loz! (she/her) :)
Looking for a room in a wide range of areas - the mid coast, around the city and surrounding suburbs, for me its the house vibes and people that are the most important thing. I'm from the mid coast but have lived in many areas around Adelaide, as well as having lived in Java, NZ and Melbourne. I was in Melbourne the last few years and just moved back to Adelaide in December to start my next chapter heading back to uni.
I've been living in share houses for many years and would describe myself as a pretty relaxed housemate. I'm an introvert by nature and live with some medical conditions so home for me needs to be a place that feels safe and cozy where I can be at peace and recharge my batteries. While I prefer not having an expectation on hanging out all the time, many of my closest friends are people I've met through share houses so I am absolutely open to growing friendships with my housemates in a way that feels relaxed whilst acknowledging I need a little more solo time than the average person. For a home to feel safe and cozy to me there is no specific formula and I have loved living with a huge spectrum of people from super quiet introverts to big time party people, people from all over the world with a huge range of life experiences and ways of being. The main thing is being respectful of each other, having clear communication and a base of curiosity and kindness. I'm very easy going with other peoples schedules and lives - unbothered by your late night showers, having music on or mates over as long as we can come from a considerate place. I definitely value a clean house so would be sick if we aligned there. :)
As far as about me: Im about to turn 25 in a coupla weeks, and will be returning to uni to finish off my degree in the environmental science realms at Adelaide uni in 2026. I grew up in the circus and spent my early adult years as an outdoor education instructor, teaching kayaking, rock climbing, surfing and more to high school students, travelling in between. In more recent times my life took a turn in an unexpected direction being diagnosed with some super fun medical conditions that put a pause on the super active parts of my life. Its taken me the last couple of years to really start to come to terms with these changes but slowly and surely I've been getting there. I have an absolutely wonderful medical team that have helped me reach a steady place. My conditions don't impact anything share house related really other than what I already said about needing a lot of alone time to rest and recharge. These days I still love getting out in nature, going for ocean swims or occasional surfs, and spending time amongst the trees. I absolutely love animals so though I don't have a pet it would be a huge plus if you did. I love games and always get around a board game/ card game and would be so in for any LARP related shenanigans or even a house DnD campaign?? (though the stress of DMing has proven to be too much for me haha). When my social capacity is with us I love a movie night with housemates or getting into a show together, random kitchen chats or a shared cuppa tea. Its important to me to live in a house with aligned values so being an ally or member of the first nations, POC and queer communities and caring for the environment is important to me. I'm open minded to a whole lot of living arrangements/ room styles (small, big, caravan, hammock in the yard :), etc) but would prefer a lower budget around $180/ week - $800/ month.
If you rekon we'd be a good fit please feel free to message! :D
