About me

Hello, my name is Tavi.
I’m a 29-year-old woman from South Korea. Before coming to Australia, I worked as a book marketer at a children’s publishing company, and later at a trading company. I’m also an amateur writer — I recently self-published a 400-page novel and even sold copies at a booth during a book festival.

I’m quite outgoing and get along with people easily. When I worked as a book marketer, I regularly attended publishing meetups, shared meals with new people, and stayed in touch with them. Because of those experiences, I’m comfortable talking with new roommates as well.
At the same time, I enjoy spending quiet time in my own space writing, so if my roommates prefer a calmer environment, I’m perfectly fine keeping to myself.

I generally keep my living space very clean.
I also enjoy cooking, so I’ll probably use the stove often. When I’m not cooking, I like exploring outside to discover my own go-to restaurants. If I find great places, I love sharing them with others. And if you enjoy my cooking, I’d be happy to share meals together too.

After cooking, I always clean the stove thoroughly, and if I cook anything oily, I use detergent on a sponge to wipe it down completely.
After showering, I always clean my hair from the drain — I really dislike seeing wet hair clumped together. (So I would really appreciate having a roommate who also cleans the drain after showering!)

I came to Australia because I wanted to challenge myself and see what I could accomplish on my own in a new country. So far, I think I’m doing well — and I really like Melbourne.
I already have accommodation until April 10, so I’m available to move in from April 10 onward.

Sometimes I work on my laptop at night. I write quietly, so I won’t be noisy. But if the desk is inside the bedroom, I’d need to keep the lights on, which might disturb a roommate. So it would be ideal if I could use the dining table in the living room at night.

I’m mainly looking for a shared room for two people, but if the conditions are right, I’m willing to stretch my budget a little for a single room. I’m looking for a place where I can stay for at least four months. I plan to find a job near the accommodation.
Thank you, and I hope we can get along well!
