Malin

Hi :) I am Malin, a 22 year old student from Germany. I am looking for a furnished room from mid-October 2026 until the end of February (or possibly March) 2027 while studying.
I am currentlyI in the middle of my studies to become a primary school teacher and I’m very excited to be spending a semester abroad in Brisbane.
I first fell in love with Australia during my Au Pair year in Perth. Since then, I’ve always hoped to come back, so I’m incredibly happy to have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in Australia and to experience life at an Australian university.

In my free time I enjoy reading, swimming, exploring nature and spending time with friends.

I'd describe myself as tidy, considerate, and easygoing. I respect shared spaces, clean up after myself, and value a peaceful and friendly home environment. I'm also happy to have a chat or spend time together, while equally respecting everyone's privacy and personal space.
I am also a non-smoker and do not have pets.

For me, a great flatmate is someone who is respectful, considerate and communicates openly. I believe that sharing a home works best when everyone is mindful of each other's needs and comfortable talking about anything that comes up.
I'm hoping to find a home with a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable, whether that means occasionally chatting over a cup of tea, sharing a meal now and then, and respecting each other's routines and independence.

I'm happy to either share meals occasionally or organise my own food - whatever works best for the household. I'm not a picky eater, eat almost everything, and I don't have any allergies or dietary restrictions.
As I'll only be in Brisbane for one semester, I'm looking for a fully furnished room, as I won't be bringing any furniture with me.
