Hi! I’m 30 and moved from Munich to Sydney recently for work (AWS). I’m still deciding which side of the road cars are supposed to be on. I’m looking for a room from the end of January, ideally somewhere close to the beach.

I keep threatening to bring my road bike over, currently 0 for 2 on actually doing it, so ask me again in a few months. Cycling, running and HIIT fill most of my week, so a beach run before work would suit me perfectly. I’ve also got a sailing course sitting unopened as a gift, so consider this the social pressure I needed to finally start it. My houseplants are thriving, thank you, whatever anyone else might tell you.

Work has me out and about a fair bit: restaurants, dinners, the occasional questionable networking event. So I’ve built up a solid Google Maps list I’m happy to hand over in exchange for a nice flat. I’m not just here to clock in and disappear. I’m genuinely trying to build a life here and meet people, so I’m hoping to find a place that feels like home, not just somewhere to sleep.
