Hey, I'm William, 33.
I'm a fairly gentle, slightly odd, nature-loving soul who happens to have a background in molecular biology and a fascination with psychology, people and how the world works.
I'm currently studying psychology and doing some independent research, but there's considerably more to me than academics. I love animals, wandering through gardens, getting lost in thought, discovering little pockets of Melbourne and appreciating the ordinary, beautiful and occasionally absurd things in life.
I'm neurodivergent, a little unconventional and sometimes quite happy just existing in my own little world. I can come across as a bit aloof initially, but I'm genuinely kind, thoughtful and probably more interested in hearing your story than telling you mine. I'm a good listener, and I appreciate people who are comfortable being exactly who they are.
At home, I'm fairly quiet and independent. I enjoy company, a spontaneous conversation in the kitchen or sharing a laugh, but I also need time to myself to recharge. I don't expect constant interaction, and I certainly don't expect anyone else to either.
I value kindness, respect, honesty and a home where people feel comfortable without having to explain every little thing about themselves.
My little companion is Socks, an indoor cat who means the world to me. We're very much a package deal.
I'm looking for somewhere safe, welcoming and stable where we can settle, ideally as soon as possible. I've rented independently before and can provide references.
Nothing particularly extravagant. Just a little corner of the world to call home, some decent humans nearby, a bit of greenery and preferably somewhere Socks can sit in a sunny window looking mildly disappointed in everyone.
