Hi, I'm Jay! I'm a software engineer originally from Brisbane, who moved to the UK for a year and a half to work on AI safety. I'm now back in Brisbane for a few months, and looking for a place of my own for a 3-6 month period while I pursue my next role. I have sufficient savings to support myself for this period, investments I can dip into if I have to, and opportunities for contract work as well if I decide to take it. I've put "Working holiday" as my employment status since I'm definitely going to be doing stuff while I'm here, the only question is whether I want to do paid work or not. I'm looking for a place that's within 40 minutes or so from West End / UQ by public transport, and that's nice and quiet. I'm otherwise pretty flexible on location. I'm currently in AirBnB's, so I am happy to move fast when it comes to moving once I find the right place! Emily: I’m 25 years old, Brazilian, and I work shifts as a sales assistant, waitress, bartender, and sometimes pet sitter. I also study marketing automation every week in the city. I enjoy going to the gym, the beach, cooking, and trying to find a new hobby (I always buy the stuff but never actually start haha). Sam: He’s 27 years old, British, and works full-time as a carpenter. He enjoys mountain biking, going to the beach, and having a good nap in his free time. We’re a calm and easygoing couple who value a clean and harmonious space, without overly strict rules, as we like to occasionally host friends for lunch or dinner. We don’t smoke, don’t have pets, and don’t throw parties at home.
