We have a sweet and charming 2-bedroom home in Alphington, and are looking for a roommate to occupy the second bedroom. All bills (electricity, gas, water and internet) are included in the rental price, and the house is fully furnished. We also have a single bed, wardrobe rack and storage available if required, so this setup would suit someone who is looking for a short term stay – however if you prefer to bring your own bedroom furniture that’s fine too. There’s a little garden out the back, with a veggie patch, and the house is a short walk to Alphington station, Darebin Parklands, and some great coffee.
FLEXIBLE WITH MOVE DATE AND LOCATION :) Also, I have pets! Hi potential roomies! My name is Liv; a 26 year old female, working full time and studying Nutrition via distance. About me; I enjoy seeing live music, finding new cafes and eating my way across Melbourne, day trips to the Dandenong Ranges to immerse myself in nature and walking my pocket sized pooches through all of the beautiful parks Melbourne has to offer! I've had over 5 years of experience living in share house arrangements (in other words, I know to empty the bin when it’s full and to put a new roll of toilet paper on when the existing roll has run out!) Ha, but in all seriousness, living in share houses for this long has meant that I am very considerate, very open minded and respectful of others privacy/separate lives. I’m very clean and I take a lot of pride in the house environment. I love homewares and interior decorating- on a budget- (so much love for Kmart!!). I’m fairly easy going and social, so I don’t mind if you have friends over for a couple of drinks on the weekends. More technical stuff: I have a car so I’d need somewhere (free) to park. I have furniture that I can bring if needed (lounge, dining set, fridge, washing machine, hallway/side tables, kitchen utensils/appliances/crockery) and my own bedroom furniture. I would like a large sized room that comfortably fits queen bed, desk, bed side tables and has a built in wardrobe. I would prefer unlimited internet so I’d be happy to set this up and split costs with housemates or chip in to any existing plan. I’m not in a huge rush to move as I would prefer to wait until I find the perfect fit (house and housemates) so I’m fairly flexible with moving dates as I can stay with my folks in the meantime. I'm not too picky on suburb- somewhere East or South East of Melbourne that isn’t too far from the city (e.g 20 minute drive) with nice walking tracks. I come as a "package" as I have pets (2 teeny tiny dogs and 1 cat). The dogs are tiny (the type that you could fit in your hand bag) however they aren’t small yappy dogs. They are toilet trained indoor dogs however are allowed outside when I am home. They are walked almost everyday however are just as happy to snuggle up together on my bed and wait for me to get home. They are both very clean and go to the dog groomers every 6 weeks (Boo doesn’t lose any hair, Ruby loses minimal). They are very happy little dogs that simply LOVE people and are always happy to be on someone’s (generally, anyone’s!) lap getting attention! My cat Dexter is an indoor/outdoor cat (not allowed outside when it is dark). He is petrified of other cats so I cannot take him into a house where there were existing cats. Although he is scared of other cats, he loves dogs. I can provide rental references for the pets! I need somewhere with a backyard / some form of a grassed area that I can easily access to take the dogs out to the toilet. They often wake me up during the night to take them out so apartments above ground floor are not suitable :( About YOU; I am looking for friendly and social housemates (with experience living in share houses), who are happy to have a chat/laugh when we cross paths and share the odd glass of wine together. HOWEVER I am also a very independent person that appreciates time to myself- so suitable housemates would be respectful of eachothers space. Suitable housemates must LOVE animals and be happy to let my dogs outside to the toilet (if you’re home and I’m not). Suitable housemates would also be clean and share house jobs (rotating rosters have worked well in the past!). I have always lived with strangers who have ended up friends and I see myself living with like-minded people who wish to make a house a home- if I sound like someone you would like to live with, please get in touch :)

Looking to create a new share or join an existing share with other positive, balanced, responsible flatmates who can cook a little, garden a little, are clean and dont take themselves too seriously. Cashed up as I work five days a week and also have a scholarship which funds my postgrad studies. Enjoy living in a decent home environment where everyone has their own lives and interests, and sharing an occasional meal together. This time around I'd like to live with people who are interested in creating a home environment and who also have a community outside of the home. I want to live somewhere with people who have their act together and expect a pleasant home environment together with mutual respect. After a larger unfurnished bedroom for QS Bed, plus a desk OR to bring furnishings into the living spaces if creating a NEW SHARE. Fridge washer microwave etc- most of the basics. Alternatively could look at storage if joining an existing share. Cat owner so after a place with an enclosed yard, not in a busy street and would prefer some room to grow us all veggies or at least a few potted herbs. Both myself and The Furry One would need a long term standard lease agreement. Bond and references available. Fitzroy North, Clifton Hill, Carlton North, Northcote, Ivanhoe East, Elwood, Elsternwick, Bentleigh, Brighton, Hampton preferably, but within about 20mins of the CBD.

Hey there, I'm looking to team up and start a lease with someone in an apartment, townhouse or unit, preferably somewhere in the inner northern suburbs along the hurstbridge line. Im a 43 yo fairly chilled laid back person who is fun and funny, clean, tidy also honest and reliable. I think im a down to earth person who is not too or overly politically correct. My employment is steady and secure and have no financial issues. My work is full time long hours four days a week and have a few days off. I would say I am a home body however love going to the footy and dont mind a night out every now and then at a bar or checking out a band. Am always happy to share a coffee, conversation or have a beer either out having a feed or home watching tv. Past the nightclub stage and dont want to live in a party house. Have good references over a long period and have the essentials in furniture and appliances. Am more than happy to negotiate what furniture could go into the house, If your interested and think we may have some common ground then please send me a message. Cheers. P.s. move date is very flexible.
I'm a quiet, solitary type, give me a room and an internet connection and I won't disrupt you very much. Of course if you are up for a chat, that's fine too, I love chatting about the boring topics in life, politics and history. I'm originally from rural Victoria and I had to move down to Melbourne to complete my Honours degree in Geospatial Science. Essentially I make maps. Now that I am done, I want to stay down in Melbourne and get established in my career. Housework wise, I clean up after myself, do my own dishes, cook my own meals and I'm more than happy to do my share of the house work. Happy to do gardening if there is one too. And I don't own a car at this stage, so no need for garage space. I prefer to walk and use PT anyway. Not too much of a party goer, or a drinker for that matter, I'm pretty plain in that sense, so you won't have to worry about me knocking in the door at 4am with a half eaten HSP spilling on the floor and a trail of vomit from the curb.
Hey I'm Brad I am looking for a place to rent room that can fit my king bed well space and super internet would be great too. I am hearing impaired so I'll be good housemate for you because I'm qualifed chef so i can help you if needed :) cook, fitness, enjoy going out sometime, like drink wine sometime! I do clean my things in the kitchen and others if needed :)
If you like dogs and can handle all the love and attention that comes with a four legged friend, and would like to live with a professional, friendly and laid back couple in a modern place that feels like home... then look no further.... Due to an existing housemate moving out at the end of the uni year, a room is available in a very comfortable 3 bedroom home in a beautiful, quiet street in Alphington. On offer is a good sized room with a built in robe, which will easily accommodate a queen size bed. There is also reverse cycle heating/cooling in the room. Existing internet connection in the home, which is included in the rent. It's not super fast but streams netflix OK! All other bills are split 3 ways when they are received. There is already living room furniture, a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. You just need to furnish your room. There is also a lovely outdoor area with BBQ and table/chairs for entertaining. The main bathroom will be all yours and it is huge! There is another bedroom that we like to keep vacant if friends or family need somewhere to crash. It also serves as a handy storage room. The area is well serviced by public transport, within walking distance to Fairfield and Alphington train stations, and with plenty of buses nearby. Close to Station street shops, cafes and eateries, and the major supermarkets are in nearby Ivanhoe. Note there is no car space but plenty of on street parking as it is a very quiet street with no flowing traffic. Couples are welcomed, rent will split accordingly. We have grown out of our partying days, but we still enjoy having friends over and of course you can too!
Hey, my names Joe I work in mortgages at a bank in the CBD I'm into music and photography Love exercise and any form of outdoor activity be it hiking, running, swimming, yoga, and sports of all kind. I'm a huge Premier league fan and play soccer regularly Weekends usually involve a nice big meal followed by coffee and hanging out with close friends. I do appreciate quiet personal time so not looking for a party house. I'm also a very clean person and like to keep a tidy living environment.
My name is Ray, 30 year old boy from the Philippines. I've been in Australia for over 4 years now. I work full-time for an engineering company based in Heidelberg West. I've been in 2 share houses in 4 years so i know the drill. Spent over 3 years in the first one and just about 7 months in my current place. In both cases, I've had to move out since they are moving in with their respective partners. Gotten along well with both my housemates, male and female. I'm looking for a place since my current housemate is moving in with her partner. I would prefer to live with only 1 flatmate. Long term rental (1 year +) would be ideal since I will be in the country for the foreseeable future. Cheers!
A great 2 bedroom private, light and well insulated apartment with recently renovated kitchen and bathroom is available for a 6 month lease. Separate large courtyard and side entrance, with lockable shed and off-street carpark. The 2 bedrooms get great morning light and the double brick ensures that the house is super warm in winter. The place comes with fridge and front-loader as per photos, otherwise house is unfurnished. Close to Fairfield train station and shops, as well as the river and ajoining parks. Quiet but friendly neighbours and easy commute, whether bike, train or drive to the city. We have had to move due to work commitments and have to break our lease and are looking for someone to take over until 31 March. Honestly a great place to live in and a real shame to leave! **No pets allowed (sorry!) and only available until 31 March, not able to be extended at this stage**
I've lived in quite a few share houses in Melbourne and this is the only one that I have stuck with, it is a nice old house in and gorgeous street in Alphington, with the train station just around the corner, busses at the end of the road, and just off of the eastern freeway (Chandler Highway exit)
Professional female working in the communications and marketing, looking to find a cheaper place than my current unit. I have a great sense of humour (quirky), fairly neat and tidy sort of person, good with money and enjoy films, books, and art and culture around Melbourne. Can also cook! Would like to share with a similar sort of professional female, not really into the party scene any more but wouldn't pass on a good night of wine etc. every now and again, and am dog friendly too (allergic to cats unfortunately). Like my own space, including cooking etc., but also would like to share with someone friendly to catch up on the week/day :-) I have a large-ish queen sized bed and matching sides and tallboy so would need larger room rather than smaller.
I'm respectful of privacy and like my own peace and quiet. Please no party house and douche bags. If you like wine and food that's a bonus. Please don't get me wrong I do like to have a good time and have a social, easy-going home environment. I just don't want to live in a dive with disrespectful, loud and dirty people. I like keeping things clean and tidy. I take pride in my home and enjoy cooking, music, films, and good chat. I believe if we are sharing the same space we need to be aware and respectful of each other and don't be afraid to speak up when any issues need to be addressed. I want to live with adults! Also I am thinking about adopting a rescue cat so somewhere that is pet friendly would be ideal.
My name is Matty and I work as both a professional drummer and as a scientist. I am looking to move into an existing share house, or to start a new one with a garage for my music gear and practice. Being a professional drummer that is chasing a goal of being largely successful I am in need a garage (ideally unattached from the house) to accommodate my practice. I Only practice until approximately 9pm of an evening (I get home from work at 6) and I don't ever start before midday on the weekends, keeping in mind too that I regularly have rehearsals and gigs and things so it doesn't happen at full volume every day but as regularly as I can fit it in which ends up being about 3 times per week - so not really much at all. Personality wise I am, friendly, approachable, confident, logical, dedicated and love meeting new people and being social (when I have time for it). I have lived in several share houses over the last 8 years and have no problem adapting to new environments and personalities. I love a good chat and I love people. I am an avid musician and get into the footy a little bit (I grew up in the country, I'm sorry :P ). I also try to hit up the gym a few times a week. I'm clean and very much want the people I live with to be clean and tidy.. my room is usually out of control, but everywhere else in the house is always tidy and clean. As I mentioned, I am very much working towards developing a successful musical career, so moving into a place that I can set my drumming up in a garage is on the top of my priority list, followed immediately by having awesome housemates! Ideally it would be great to have housemates that can I get along well enough with to have a beer and go out for a meal but that also have their own independent lives going on. Between working full-time, rehearsing, touring and performing, I go between being home most nights to being out or away for (seemingly) weeks at a time. I have "done my time" so to speak, in uni party houses and have outgrown such living circumstances, thus, I am clean and tidy and respectful of the need to keep the place that way. This doesn't mean I don't love a party, which I do, but, am just looking for reasonable common sense/courteous type people, and also having a kitchen that I am not afraid to cook in! Also - I will be overseas in Central America and California from late September until early November - thus, I'm looking for somewhere to move in the first 2 weeks of November for at least 1 year.
Great location in a great suburb next to heaps of parklands, close walk to Alphington and Fairfield train stations and to station street shops with local delis, butchers and grocers! Recently renovated house in lovely condition. We have a small outdoor area with small dog door fitted with a BBQ outside. We have airconditiong and a spare bedroom which will be kept as a guest bedroom/study for our family and friends or for your family and friends on occasion! PS the furniture in the photos are from the house sale. As we haven't moved in yet, we don't have photos of what the house will actually look like furnished. It probably won't look as put together as it will be our first house!
I am a quiet yet friendly housemate. I respect ones need for privacy but would like to get to know my housemates. I like to live a healthy lifestyle by cooking good food, riding my bike and swimming. I am domesticated too - I am neat, clean and tidy! I am a kind, considerate and warm person. I work in Border Protection, have a passion for cycling and have lived in the Northcote area for most of my life. I love what the inner city has to offer.
Hi ya, We are looking for a new housemate to share a lovely quiet leafy corner of Alphington with us. The Darebin parklands/bike trails are accessed from the end of our tree lined street and the city is only a short distance away(11km). There room is available now. We are pretty tidy little campers and would prefer the same in a new housemate, a fair and equitable division of labour keeps everybody happy, and if the house gets a once over each week it is very easy to maintain appearances and living standards! :) There is quite a large backyard and plenty of room for a veggie patch or two, so it would be lovely to have someone around who enjoys getting into the garden every now and then. Its not difficult to maintain, but y'know what they say...'many hands make light work'. I'm Katie, I have a studio space set up in the garage where i work from home building my design based business. This means i'm around a fair bit, but the shed is almost like a second home to me and there's plenty of room to share if you also like to tinker. I like to think I'm pretty unobtrusive and easy to get along with. I enjoy a nice meal and a cider during the week or a rum and ginger beer to celebrate friday, but I'm no party animal! I prefer to catch up with friends over a cuppa (i make a pretty mean pot of chai) and cards/backgammon during the week or maybe watch something on the telly to unwind. I sing and love music and the arts so if you're a creative, you've found a friend :) I also love puns and dad jokes…you've been forewarned! Hi, Quinho(pronounced keen - yo) The newest member to the household, 38yr old male. Currently taking a short break from music education/coordination while i'm looking for my next big thing. Interested in teaching myself music production and hoping to work on that a little in my spare time. I am the proud dad of a 3yr old staffy called zephyr, he is spoilt rotten and will pester you for a pat and a cuddle but he is generally a well behaved boy who loves company. If this sounds like the kinda place and people you could dig, please get in touch. Cheers, Katie and Quinho sunroom at rear of house large lawned secure backyard large garage
A great little room in a great location, carpeted, BIRs, facing a quiet tree-lined street close to transport (a couple of minutes to train & bus) and close to all amenities in Station Street Fairfield. The first-storey flat has a pleasant, light-filled sunny lounge, a good kitchen and laundry facilities. Not top-of-the-range, but comfortable, convenient and definitely worth a look.
Our home is located in (North) Alphington, a suburb of Melbourne located 8km north east of the city centre. It is a quiet and leafy green residential suburb composed mostly of families. It is bordered by the Darebin Creek to the east and the Yarra River to the south. One of its best features is that it contains a number of beautiful bush reserves and parks. We are a 5 minute walk to Darebin Parklands. Our home was built 5 years ago and has every modern feature. It has 3 bedrooms, each with mirrored built-in robes and a private balcony, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, a study area, an open plan living area, a separate small living area, a large kitchen with a double oven, dishwasher and walk-in pantry, a laundry, a double garage and a small rear garden with a private gate that leads directly onto Pitcher Park which includes a football, cricket ground and netball and basketball court. It has hydronic heating throughout, a split system heating/cooling system downstairs in the open plan living area and air conditioning upstairs. It is a light filled home and we are a relatively quiet household. The room available faces east and looks out over Pitcher Park. We are predominantly a healthy vegetarian household with a small amount of sustainable fish and chicken consumed. We would prefer you to have a similar diet. We like to keep the house clean and tidy and do so on a weekly basis. We are 800 metres or a 10 to 15 minute walk to Alphington train station and a few hundred metres from two bus services (routes 350 and 508). To view photos of the house when it was first built, see here (the room available is photo number 7): https://www.realestate.com.au/property/2-102-fulham-rd-alphington-vic-3078

Hey there! I'm a 22yo full time honours student studying Linguistics and Italian, I'm super easy going, clean, really tidy, reliable, and respectful. I love travelling, cycling, knitting (such a granny), eating, and also having fun. I'd love to move in sometime in October, preferably in Brunswick/Fitzroy/Carlton area, but I'd be open to suggestions.
Hey I'm chilled, easy going guy. I work in the north-east suburbs as a primary teacher (it’s my first year full-time after a career change with a photography/design background) - I've got grade 3 😁! I’m independent but love to hang out over a tea/coffee/beer/wine/dinner/netflix/movie night etc. I'm a passionate traveler, bit of a geek, out, do my best to stay fit, non smoker. On weekends I prefer to have dinner/coffee catch ups with friends and go to something on in/around the city.
Heya. I've just moved to Melbourne by way of Brisbane and before that, Canberra, for work with the APS. I'm clean, tidy and bill-punctual, chill, tall and nerdish; a longtalker, deadpan and absurdist banterer, dank meme connoisseur, humanities graduate, reliably good for drinks, games, generating food, dumb jokes, and making hay out of city loife. Pets are a life goal; big, sympatico, gender balanced share-households (4+) are a longstanding preference. I’m looking for the premium Melbourne sharehouse experience with some harmonious characters, somewhere colourful, inner-northish, with a bit of a garden and within reasonable riding distance of the CBD. I'm currently staying in Northcote with fam so I can move whenever, or even get on board with a team-up with other cool interlopers. If you've got a space to match and think that we might gel, don’t hesitate, shoot me a DM and let me know. No roomshares pls. Thank
I'm looking to team up, females only please. I'm friendly and easy going, looking to share a place with another female of similar age (late 20's or thirties). I am not looking at going into a pre-established household. I am looking at moving into a place of my (and your) own, not into somebody else's home. Teaming up and going into a place together is what I am seeking, as I've had experience moving into others' houses, and it hasn't felt like my home. "My house, my rules" is not what I'm seeking. I'd like to share with someone friendly who likes to chat, but who also likes their own space. Ideally I'd like to share with one other female, maybe two. I have my own bedroom belongings, kitchenware, and tv/cabinet. I like living in a neat and tidy environment, so would like to share with someone who also likes a clean and tidy environment, as well as a relaxed environment. I'm looking somewhere preferably along the Sydney Rd strip/Upfield train line, ideally Coburg region, reasonably close to a train station (within walking distance). I would prefer to share a house that has a bit of breathing space. I like a house with good natural lighting, and a comfortable sized bedroom. An added bonus would be somewhere with a bit of a backyard & front yard. I drive a car, so also seeking off street parking. I like to go to the gym and live a healthy lifestyle, enjoy getting out on weekends as well as quiet days in front of the tv. I love watching tennis and am an avid lover of anything from the 80's.
Hi everyone! I'm a newish fella to town, having recently moved from interstate for a job opportunity. Looking for somewhere around the (but not limited too) Collingwood/Fitzroy/Richmond area, preferably with a car space. About myself, I'm a pretty happy chappy - like to meet new people and laidback. I am 21, but I look like I'm 28 and have a mortgage and two kids. Like having my surroundings tidy (though not super anal with it). I work for an airline and get super cheap tickets to travel around, so solid chance I'll be away on some of my days off. I work 24/7, so I can be working at any time. I am super quiet getting up during awkward hours though! Thank you! Ryan
Hi I'm Lya, I'm international student and working in hospitality. I'm very easy going, kind and respectful, like to keep things tidy and clean. I prefer a place where there are no parties. I do not mind to share a meal and hangout sometimes. But enjoy been by my own.

I am a clean and tidy person who loves to cook. I enjoy being social but also enjoy my own private time. I work full time and live an active lifestyle, playing sport some evenings and on the weekends.
My name is Marina and I'm an easy going 22 year old girl. I am currently looking for long term accomidation in a private room. I am very considerate of others and their privacy and I will always pay my rent on time. I like to go out most weekends and have the occasional drink, but I'm also quite a home cat and like to have a nice quiet night in. I love gaming, movies, music, drawing and spending time with my friends, these are most of my hobbies. I do smoke but not heavily and only outside so I dont bother anyone. I love to cook and I'm happy to cook for myself and others on most days. I do have a car and will be looking for some sort of on street parking. Im also always willing and happy to help with cleaning up the house when required. So, if you think I'd be a good fit for your house please give me a call, as I'm looking to move by the end of September :)
Re location -Looking for places close to stations along hurstbridge train line. I've got stable employment as dietitian in health promotion in Eltham area. I'm really easy going and enjoy cooking, gardening, being sociable, being active, getting away and being outdoors! I'm just returning from working holiday in NZ back to hometown of Melbourne (I grew up in Ferntree Gully) and looking for some really cool fun like-minded community-orientated people to live with! I'm hoping to start an into to horticulture course soon so ideally would be great to find somewhere where I can have a small veggie patch/vertical garden!
22 year old male, very recently moved to Melbourne for work. generally work between 30 and 45 hours a week. I'm tidy and clean up after myself and happy to help with my fair share of general chores. I'm open to doing weekly group dinners but for most of the week I will be cooking my own meals. I love to have a chat and very much hope my future house mates do as well, but I like the occasional time alone. I do enjoy the occasional drink or two on the weekend, but I wont be throwing any parties at the house. I do enjoy the outdoors and Ill try to spend a good portion of my weekends out hiking and love the beach/water. I have no issue with pets and kind of encourage it if possible!
Hi, I am looking to share with someone for the next 6 months. My current lease is due at the end of October so am about 4 weeks away from moving. I work in Preston so somewhere close would be ideal. I would much prefer to share with a female if possible. Im easy going, friendly and am a tidy person. I would look after your home as if it were my own :)
Looking for a new place, separated living space would be ideal. I have a couch, TV, fridge and washer I'd be happy to use in the house. I like cooking, music, travel and art.
I'm looking for a large, private, unfurnished room, preferably Inner North area. I prefer to live with females. I'm friendly, confident, tolerant, considerate, clean, tidy and respectful of privacy. I work with young adults, am starting a short course in pottery and I'm a non smoker. I enjoy a glass of wine but am not a heavy drinker. I don't do drugs either and I would like a home where others are the same in this regard. I cook well and enjoy sharing meals. I don't have pets but love animals.
Hey beautiful! I am just about to graduate from uni in December and need to move out from my current student apartment in mid-November. Have two jobs with education and art at the moment and will look for more after I'm done with my studies if I need to. Further, I am Swedish but don't have any plans to move back to Europe at the moment as my life is here now after almost 3 years in Melbourne. Would love to move in with some chill and welcoming people who enjoy a social household where we can have dinner and drinks every now and then and banter about all and nothing. I tend to be out and about a lot with friends, work or my partner but also love to recharge my batteries by walking around in PJ's for two days while watching TV shows or working on my art. Also, I'm the brunette in the picture and the blondie is my amazing friend that you'll probably also get to know :) Looking forward to chat with you! Mwaahhh!!!
Hoping to find some friendly people to live with. I am a 25 year old guy working full time in the city in customer service. Originally from Tassie and been in Melbourne about a year now so still love exploring the city and trying new places to eat/drink etc. Would love some housemates who would also be keen to do things like this. Spend most of my weekends out and about going on roadtrips and bushwalks and looking around Victoria. I am fully house trained and have lived in lots of different share house situations before. I know how to tidy up after myself and always have back up supplies of toilet paper ready to go! Looking to spend no more than round $230 a week for somewhere nice. A yard would be great but understand that can be a bit hard to find in Melb
I'm a friendly gay guy who is clean, tidy, easy going. Not much of a party person, but I don't mind socialising over a drink or two and some good food. I respect other people's space and privacy. I'm a geeky person into video games, I'm a creative type having done my undergraduate degree in fine art. I'm currently couch surfing in Melbourne at the moment after a brief stint in Brisbane. Currently looking for part-time casual work to fit around my future studies starting in 2017.
