I'm looking for someone to join my beautiful apartment! It is eco friendly with solar panels and uses rainwater for the toilets and is really well located with a train station 5 minutes walk. The area is a quiet, family neighbourhood. Everything you need in a kitchen and living is already there and there's also a secure storage cage down stairs. The living room also has air-conditioning and I have a Chromecast for all binge watching needs! Internet is all set up and $40 each a month for unlimited data. All bills usually come to $80 a month. The building has access cards and excellent security.
Hi, I'm looking for a medium size room in a house that is happy, healthy and united in shared values. A home that everyone comes home to and sighs with relief that it's time to restore and get what they need for the next day. I'm actively engaged in my life passions and relationships and feel at home in a house of caring individuals attending to their work and who genuinely enjoy sharing a place with each other. I bring to a share house a natural consideration for others, keenness for harmony and communication, attention to the house needs and respect for everyone's specific needs. If a home has this set up already, I feel I will naturally fit in well. A house that feels cleaned and cared for, with an awareness of others in the space sharing facilities, feels pretty good to me too. I'm currently working on a book and will be adding further studies to my load next year, so am seeking a quiet room in a house to sleep well and be able to get into my work if I'm around home. I'm out of the house a lot, with library visits for working and study, swim and gym several times a week, volunteer work at PBS radio, some nights away at my partner's, and generally do my socialising out in the world and come home to restore. Basically, I'd love a home with genuine good will towards each other, respect for space and boundaries, a caring sense of responsibility towards the house and each other, a place where everyone naturally does this and therefore it is effortless. If you have this, you will know what I mean, and when you have it you generally want to keep it going. Send me a message if you have a listing you think I may be a good fit for, or have any questions. Thanks, Justin
We don't have any of our own photos as we move in on Monday so please excuse the poor photography! The house is a 7 minute walk to Alphington station and a 9 minute walk to Fairfield station/shops, the 350, 508 and 546 buses run past the front of the house and take you to the city and across to Sydney road, Brunswick. The bedroom is medium sized with a high ceiling, floorboards and a large window (Shown in the first picture).
Hello! I'm Hazel, 29, from New Zealand. I have been living in sharehouses for 10+ years and in Melbourne for the last 4 of those years. I work full-time Mon-Fri as a genetic counsellor. Outside of work, I like adventures & getting into fresh air, sleeping, cooking, gin, nights in, nights out, attempting to keep plants alive, attempting new crafty things, music gigs, reading & going in search of good filter coffee. I'm looking around northcote/clifton hill/abbotsford/thornbury areas and am keen to make the most of north side living! My ideal flatmates are also easy going, perhaps a healthy amount of house proud, interested in sustainable/eco living, and enjoy their own space but are also open to hanging out and making new friends. At this stage, I only have a queen bed & shelves to bring with me. Happy to contribute to household furniture/white goods. I eat vegetarian and find it easier to prepare my own food during the week but I love cooking/eating, so always keen to share a meal. So far I've only accumulated indoor house plants as pets. Very open to living with/caring for your pets :) I'm looking for a new home as my friends that I currently live with have just purchased their own home. Hoping to move into a place around early/mid Jan 2020. Thanks!
Super close to public transport, good cafes and restaurants and it’s a short commute to the city as well as great nightlife spots like Fitzroy, Brunswick and Richmond. The unit is on a quiet block with only three other units and our neighbours are all really lovely and easy to get a long with.
New to Melbourne in 2019, I'm looking to relocate to the inner North in the new year. I'm presently interstate and cannot physically inspect/move until sometime between 27DEC to 3JAN (likely aiming for as early as workable in Jan). I love a chat as well as my own time, to cook for others, read and be involved in community. I enjoy making a tidy and fresh home (versus house), market and Aldi shopping(!) and cycling to work (my car is mostly for weekends, if at all). Yoga, hiking, gym, hanging/cooking with friends and the occasional dinner out energise and delight. Art, book, ideas, science and nature lover. Bent/dark/goofy/deft/Minchin/Connolly humour welcome. I aim to eat down the food-chain, mostly veges with some 'roo and dairy although am happy to be vegetarian at home (my last sharehouse was vegetarian which I loved). I'm a single, het, cis, country (as in need greenery), non-smoking, barely-drinking, currently-bearded queer-friendly guy. I work in public policy on strategic and institutional issues to address climate-intersectional challenges and do research on the side. In living arrangements, I really enjoy pooling resources and putting investing energy to make a dwelling a welcoming home, especially through shared shopping and cooking, and enjoying and being a gentle presence. While kids love me and are welcome to visit, I'd like to live in and help make a homespace with one or more adults. Pets are all super welcome although I currently have none of my own. I tend to be a dawn riser, and enjoy warm, well-lit spaces with people who enjoy chewing over progressive ideas as much as what's on the plate. I've tended to make life-long friends with housemates. If there is creativity, contribution and goofy bursts in your world too (of any kind) we'll probably get on great. [P.S. even if I'm not a fit for you I'd welcome your pointers] :-)
A third year uni student looking for some kind, spirited and respectful housemates to live with. I am hoping to find roommates that want to create a supportive and caring space for each other to share and thrive in. I love honesty, I love passionate hard working people. Terms and conditions: you would be cool living with a very sweet 7 year old cat, who loves spending time outdoors. However if I must live without my soulmate he will be safe and well at my family’s home in the meantime.
We are two friends that are from Adelaide and have moved to Melbourne this year. Alex is a Masters student at the University of Melbourne and Shakira works full time at a start-up.
Hi my name is Rashika (or Shika) and I work full time for a trade union in Industrial Relations. In my spare time I like to relax in the sun, go hiking, ride my bike and go out for food and drinks. I grew up in sunny Queensland but recently made the move to Melbourne. I've been living in Melbourne for 6 years, still adjusting to the cold but loving it. I'm looking to move closer to work so that I can walk or ride my bike to work. I enjoy a chat and a drink (maybe a dinner party) with flatmates every now and then but am also very respectful of others space. I also enjoy chilling on my own sometimes. Happy to answer any other questions about myself.
Hi there! I’m a full-time podiatrist based for work in Brunswick and work regular 9-5 hours. I’m single with no pets and am a non smoker. I guess I’d describe myself as a bubbly and friendly person who enjoys a social drink with friends, going to the gym and heading away for the weekend. What I’m looking for? I guess I’d say ’m looking for a clean and friendly house that enjoys being both social and homebodies and who are of similar ages and stages of their life. It would be an added bonus to live with people who like to be environmentally friendly and who enjoy cooking together, but is not a deal breaker. Can provide free podiatry advice to the right house.
Hi there :) I work in hospo and as a DJ. I generally keep myself busy and in my spare time I enjoy yoga, making music, learning Spanish, learning about anything else I am interested in and socialising. As a house mate, I am clean and neat, enjoy socialising but also value alone time and am respectful of how others live. I am a DJ and I do practice but noise isn't a problem as I can practice in my headphones. I ride my bike mostly to get around so no stress with car spaces. I am looking for long term accomodation. Thanks for reading!
