Hi there :) Before I tell you about myself, I should say first of all that I am only looking for pet-friendly accommodation as I have a cat (ragdoll x) and a dog (border collie). My dog is in Townsville with my parents at the moment, but I'll move her down as soon as I have a home. My name is Kalinda, I'm 22, and I'm studying Creative Arts at La Trobe. I recently moved here from Townsville, and am looking for long-term accommodation. I'm a quiet, friendly person to live with, and I've lived in sharehousing for three years now, so I know how to clean, pay bills on time, etc. I work part time in retail and also do freelance writing, so I have a steady income. In my spare time I love gaming, reading, and exploring Melbourne. If I sound like someone you could tolerate living with, please let me know <3

Back in Melbourne after four years studying in Canberra, I'm currently studying medicine and working in research. In my spare time, you might find me reading, listening to musical theatre and enjoying being outdoors. I enjoy a good chat about almost anything, but mostly just do my own thing. I have a few years experience with sharing spaces; I'm a considerate housemate, reliable with rent and upkeep and I like to keep things clean. I'm looking specifically for a place along the Hurstbridge train line.

Lia - 29, Makeup artist, Film & TV. Max - 27, youtuber, director, writer, producer and comedian. We are a fun, outgoing couple who have been together for over 7 years. We laugh a lot and are pretty social over the weekends and like to relax during the week by cooking or heading out for a feed. We currently live in port melbourne and want to explore other suburbs. We would ideally love to move in with people who are fun, easy going and who we can be friends with. We have a dog called charlie - she is a king charles cavalier and is super friendly, cuddly and doesnt bark. She tends to get over excited when she sees a cat so maybe best to avoid the confrontation!
Hi, I’m Mathew, I'm 35 and I study Aerospace Engineering full-time at RMIT in the city. I'm a pretty big geek - In my spare time I like to play video games, watch movies, fiddle with computers and read about technical things. To balance it off I do like to go to the beach, see a live gig, explore Melbourne or catch up with friends when I can. I'm also dabbling in the world of health & fitness. I need to find a place somewhere north of the city. My course moves to RMIT's Bundoora campus next year and I am hoping to keep my commute reasonable. I have a brand new fridge, microwave, and a very nice, hyper-efficient german engineered front load washing machine. Keen to move this month! My lease at my current abode ends at the end of August. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon. Any other questions, please ask.
Hi there, I'm an Irish girl currently working full time as a website administrator. I just moved to Melbourne in April and will be looking to move into a new place by August 27th. Because of the limitations with my visa, my contracts with work change a bit meaning I, unfortunately, can't commit to a set length of stay. I am clean, quiet and courteous and I enjoy movies, music and reading (very exciting, I know). I'm always up for a chat, but I also enjoy my down time and I am very respectful of other peoples privacy. My requirements are that I need to be near a train station as I don't have a car, I would much prefer a quiet room as I am a bit of a light sleeper and I need somewhere that's fully furnished. If you have any questions, please let me know :)
Hi! I am 25 years old and work full-time as a Practice Coordinator for an accounting firm in Clifton Hill. I have lived in a share house previously but have temporarily moved back home but am ready to move back closer to the city and meet some new people. I am an easy going person with a very friendly nature; my work keeps me pretty busy during the week and i work late some night's but am very respectful when it comes to noise levels. I have a long term boyfriend who lives down on the Mornington Peninsula who i visit every second weekend. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but i also enjoy winding down with some trashy tv and catching up on much needed sleep. As i currently live at home, i am flexible on move in dates. I do have a car so parking is necessary, i am happy to park on the street provided there is enough places to park.
Canadian living and working in Melbourne, here permanently. I've lived in share houses before so know the go with being clean and respectful. I can leave my current sharehouse at anytime, if it's in 3 weeks or 3 months I'm very flexible. I'm pretty chilled through the week and like to go on adventures on weekends. I have a car so parking is essential. Not a smoker but don't mind living with smokers if they smoke outside the house. I love to have a glass of wine or beer every now and then, especially in summertime. :) Must be a dog lover because I have a 12 week old Japanese Spitz, he's a cute little ball of fluffy :) Message me for more information or any questions!
After living with us for 6 months, our international student Nhi is moving out to share an apartment with another student. We are very sad to see her go as she has been a delight and has enriched our lives. We are therefore looking for another student to join our home. Our home is located in (North) Alphington, a suburb of Melbourne 7km north east of the city centre. It is a quiet and leafy green residential suburb composed mostly of families. It is bordered by the Darebin Creek to the east and the Yarra River to the south. One of its best features is that it contains a number of beautiful bush reserves and parks. We are a 5-minute walk to Darebin Parklands. Our home was built 5 years ago and has every modern feature. It has 3 bedrooms, each with mirrored built-in robes and a private balcony, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, a study area, an open plan living area, a separate small living area, a large kitchen with a double oven, dishwasher and walk-in pantry, a laundry, a double garage and a small rear garden with a private gate that leads directly onto Pitcher Park which includes a football, cricket ground and netball and basketball court. It has hydronic heating throughout, a split system heating/cooling system downstairs in the open plan living area and air conditioning upstairs. It is a light filled home and we are a relatively quiet household. The room available faces east and looks out over Pitcher Park. It is 3.3 by 3.05 metres in size and is fully furnished (king single bed, side drawers and lamp, sit-stand desk, chair and lamp). We are predominantly a healthy vegetarian household with a small amount of sustainable fish and chicken consumed. We would prefer you to have a similar diet. We like to keep the house clean and tidy and do so on a regular basis. We are 800 metres or a 10 to 15 minute walk to Alphington train station (Hurstbridge line) and a few hundred metres from two bus services (routes 350 to La Trobe University and 508 to Moonee Ponds). To view photos of the house when it was first built, see here (the room available is photo number 7): https://www.realestate.com.au/property/2-102-fulham-rd-alphington-vic-3078
This three bedroom, two bathroom town house is located within walking distance to transport (under 5min to Alphington or Fairfield train station) and to many lovely local cafes (Station street, Fairfield). The unit features a modern kitchen that is currently equiped with all essential appliances, as well as two bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. There are currently two rooms available Downstairs: This medium sized room is located downstairs and contains a heating/cooling split system, a large double-door built-in wardrobe and direct access to the downstairs toilet. Upstairs: This large room contains Heating/Cooling split system, a large walk in robe and access to the upstairs toilet and shower - essentially an ensuite. Pictures to come.
A great little room in a great location, facing a quiet tree-lined street and close to all amenities in Station Street Fairfield. The first-storey flat has a pleasant, light-filled sunny lounge, a good kitchen and laundry facilities. It is carpeted throughout and the room has BIRs. It is very close to public transport: less than five minutes' walk to Alphington Station and less than ten from Fairfield Station. There are bus lines even closer in Grange Road and Heidelberg Road. Smoking outside is OK. Not the height of luxury, but homely, comfortable, very convenient and definitely worth a look.
I am neat, clean, non-smoker, with a busy work life. I travel interstate frequently for business and would like to maintain a permanent base in Melb where I can work after hours, shower, sleep and cook breakfast for 5 nights each fortnight. No party houses, no pets, no shared bathroom please.
Just graduated my Bachelor of Fine Art last year, working full time at T2 to make the cash on the side of trying to do more art I paint when I feel like it, otherwise I get lost in my drill press and blow torch with a chunk of brass or copper! Doing a short course in silversmithing in October so props to having hand made cutlery in the house 😉 I also love to skate, learning to surf, camp/hike, mindfulness and meditation and I'm looking to go in to cultural conservation in future! I live on a mostly vegetarian diet, I only eat the occasional salmon for the omega 3s Oh and I play saxophone but don't really practice so there won't be any noise worries, but I do crack out a guitar and serenade my household every now and then ☺ happy housemate hunting! --------------------------- NOTE: Must have extra space in garage/room/study I don't mind paying extra for a place to call my studio! ---------------------------
My name is Tamara Drazic, and I'm currently studying a graduate diploma in publishing. I lived in Brisbane during my undergrad study, and stayed in the same share-house for three years; I loved turning that little old house into a home. I spend most of my spare time writing, and recently came back from a writing residency in Iceland. I'm quiet, tidy, friendly, and quite independent. I'm also a vegetarian, who is passionate (and always excited) about food. I'm very respectful of other people's privacy and belongings. I hope to hear from you soon :) Tamara
Hi, LOOKING FOR A HOME URGENTLY... I AM VERY EASY TO LIVE WITH AND HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR... I am looking for a nice relaxed place to live, I would like my own bathroom if possible and I am very flexible with the location I am more interested in having a home rather than just a room. I am a writer/director working on the third draft of an Aussie Comedy hoping to shoot the film early 2018, I am in the process of raising the budget. I am a clean tidy considerate person who has a great sense of humour, I like a laugh a meal and a glass of wine, but I also value my space and give you yours, I also pay my bills and rent on time. At the moment I will be writing from home hence a study or my own lounge, or even granny flat or studio would be helpful but not a deal breaker as I am looking for an office this year. I am studying film editing on final cut pro. I do have a 11 year old WELL TRAINED AND LOVED DOG AND A LITTLE BLACK CAT so it's important that they have a little space and are safe. I am flexible with moving dates. Cheers Peita:)
Light-hearted, responsible, creative, musical artsy good vibes person. Originally from Sydney, I love the creative culture here, and that's why am wanting to venture to live around Northcote. I really like the area. I teach art to adults with disability and mental health issues. I'm a face painter & body painter too, plus a great cook. I sing, and am looking to re-learn the uke. I'm a conscious contributor, co-creator, I go to 5Rhythms dance, am community minded, enjoy socialising with housemates and also love having my own space when I need it at home. Hit me up for a spontaneous dance breakout in the kitchen... I love these moments!!
34 years old and work as a freelance photographer and an arts therapist. At the moment, I work from home about 3 days a week (editing and planning) and 2-3 days out on location. I'm into sharing meals, wine, heart to heart chats and all that good stuff to get to know the people I'm living with. I value people and open communication. I would like to live in a multi cultural home or with people that are open to cultural differences, after all diversity is the spice of life. I'm interested in permaculture, but yet to gain the skills, willing to put the hours into the garden to get my thumbs green. I'm quirky and creative. I enjoy gatherings and being social and every now and again I'll go off on a silent retreat when I need a little zen time and clarity. I love all kinds of music from around the world. Other loves... nature, dancing (african and latin), yoga, travel, movies, documentaries, food, talks that scratch the surface, acting like a kitty cat and putting on random accents. If I sound like your hommie to be, feel free to contact me :) Also, I'm looking to move by late August, but if I find a suitable place, I can move sooner. I live in the South side but much prefer the creative and diverse flow of the North folk. Marlène (aka Marz)
Since I work full-time, have projects and like being out, I'm not in the house too much. Got my cat, Mackerel, who's a brilliant soul and is pretty warm and respectful. Though, I am polyamorous, so future flatmates definitely need to be kind of open-minded and open to discussing things their uncomfortable or happy with. Pretty chill and low key and when I'm home, it's usually for down time, so I'm pretty respectful of space. Just looking for a kind of short term place for a few months -- unless the situation turns out to be great!
