I'm a single 40 year old female who works full time. I'm looking to share with preferably a female so we can hang out together sometimes. I have a 3 year old cavalier dog. She is well behaved, good natured and house trained. I'm outgoing and friendly, not into parties but like to chill with a glass of wine after a busy week. I'm very clean and am happy to contribute to keep the house tidy. I've shared with people before so am used to getting along with others. Looking for a place as close to the city as possible but most importantly near a train/tram line. Happy to drive up to half an hour to either. Happy to take on a long-term lease.

I'm seeking a dependable, fun at heart, down-to-earth, civilised person to share my 3 bedroom home. Positioned in a peaceful, quiet, wide street, the house has just been fully renovated while still retaining its 1950's period charm, including art deco ceiling cornices. There are freshly polished floorboards in the living areas, but comfy carpet in the bedrooms. I'm only advertising 1 room, as currently I've set up the 3rd bedroom as a study & 2nd sitting room (complete with another large 55" screen TV). The room for rent is west-facing, with a wardrobe, bed, book case, desk & chair, and has a ceiling fan. The house is fully furnished with contemporary furniture, and the Lounge Room is light-filled, has a stunning sandstone mantelpiece, a 55" Large Screen Smart HD LCD TV, a Blue Ray/DVD Player, Foxtel, Netflix. There's also a gorgeous Gas Log Fireplace which warms the whole house. The Gas Log Fireplace really gives the illusion of being an open fire, but without the mess, & the heat it provides is extremely effective. There's also a huge Split System Air Conditioner in the house. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom, & together with the air conditioner it's easy to keep the house comfortable & cool on hot summer days & nights too. There's a separate Kitchen and Dining Area, & the Lounge Room has French Doors opening onto the front verandah which overlooks a lovely lush front lawn. There's also a separate laundry & 2nd loo, and the main Bathroom is brand new & has a bath. The Kitchen is also brand new with Bosch Stainless Steel dishwasher and extra-large, wide, 5 burner Stainless Steel Stove (gas) and large, wide, fan-forced oven. All the kitchen cabinetry is new, complete with soft-closing drawers and cupboards, providing plenty of storage space. There is a covered entertaining area outside at the back of the house, with a large BBQ with hood ; 4 burners, a grill & hotplate. The undercover area is light & bright, leading onto a lovely blue-slate paved courtyard, bordered by a herb garden & large lime, lemon & apple trees flanking the fence (both the lime and lemon trees are laden with fresh fruit - I am always giving bags of lemons and limes away to appreciative friends & family). There's a small garden shed plus a large raised veggie patch. It's a lovely space, easy to maintain, and ideal for entertaining or relaxing & chilling out. I have 2 whippets, who are mother and daughter (named Phoenix and Mynx) who are extremely gentle and friendly, but not boisterous. They love people but are very low maintenance and clean. There are numerous bus stops 2 minutes walk away, with frequent buses. Newport Railway Station and Altona Railway Station are within walking distance too. A little about me: a country girl at heart, I am 46, and work from home as a Professional Writer & Editor. I used to be a Human Resources Manager, so I also provide Industrial Relations advice and Employment & Recruitment services as a Consultant. I love music, comedy, reading, writing, cooking and relaxing with my dogs, or walking them along the beach (did I mention the beach is a few minutes away?) and am always up for good conversation over a glass of wine. I also like going to films, live comedy, live music of a wide variety - although I can sometimes be a bit of a homebody too. By providing such a detailed description of my happy household, I hope I've given you the sense that it's not just a house but a home, a haven & sanctuary - a drama-free and chilled out space. Located in Altona North, bordering Yarraville & Newport, the house is walking distance to Second Avenue shops & deli's, The Circle shops, Altona Gate Shopping Centre, Borrack Square Shopping Centre, and 2 minutes drive to the WestGate Freeway, but also minutes to the beach. It's only 10 kilometres from Melbourne CBD. Rent is $220 per week. I have WiFi too. Bond is $1000 and there's parking right outside the house. If this sounds like a place you could easily call 'home', please get in touch to arrange an opportunity for us to meet & for you to view the house :-) P.S. Free Cleaner every fortnight

Welcome future housemate! On this page, you will find one of the best places to live in Melbourne. With accessible shops, parks and a bus stop across the road that will take you to shops such as Altona Gate, local cafes and market places then this is definitely the place for you! It is close to gyms as well if you need to have a little workout. So, the house is 6-9mins, bus ride, away from the station or 4 mins away if you wanna drive. 10 mins away from Williamstown beach and Williamstown pier! About the house, it is fully furnished. It has an awesome communal area, laundry room, storage pantries, separate bathroom and toilet room, dining place and a complete kitchen as well. There is a small backyard place where you can chill on a sunny day too! We have high speed and unlimited internet as well which is A-list good! About the room, it is basically a garage (no windows :( ) but has power points and lights as well. It is unfortunately unfurnished but we do have a few stuff for you to use for the time being. It's length is probably enough to fit 5-6 queen beds so it is quite spacious. If you think this place suits you, send me a buzz and we'll discuss more about it or just pop in and check out the place if you're interested! Danielle :)

Hi guys, I've rented a house in Newport and I'm looking for someone to share it with me. It's a small villa with garden, with two bedrooms, a nice living room with plenty of space, laundry room, toilet and drive/garage - that you can use since I don't have a car. The house is furnished except the room you would fill (there is a spacious built-in wardrobe however). About me: I'm 30 years old guy pretty new to Melbourne. I've always shared houses with people in the last two years, I get along easily, but I also need my space. I work and do a pretty quiet life during the week, I go to sleep not too late and I hope to find someone compatible with this. I'd generally prefer someone of around my age who has a daytime job like me. I also like to keep my place reasonably tidy and clean and I expect you could do the same. In my spare time I like to watch some news/tv shows/series on my laptop, play chess (is there anybody who can teach me how to play a King's gambit properly?) or shoot some basketballs at the playground. I also like to read news and watch documentaries on social issues, trying my best to keep myself informed on human madness. I like to travel and I'm always away whenever I can take some days off from work. On the neighborhood. Newport is a quiet and nice place. As a European, not having tons of cars around me it almost feels like living in the countryside. From my house I'm reasonable close to the sea (during summer it's quite convenient) and to Williamstown. The (Newport) train station is 15 minutes walk away, but there is a bus (432) connection if you prefer (also going towards Altona Gate Mall and Yarraville). Send me a message to contact me. If you feel more confident writing in italian, greek or spanish, you can also do that. Oh, and a little description of yourselves is more than welcome! Ciao! Marco
*NOTE: I now have blinds in all rooms :) Looking for a friendly, clean person to share my brand new unit. House includes: 2 bedrooms with BIR, 2 bathrooms, Laundry, modern kitchen, small backyard, garage and heating/cooling. The unit is fully furnished (except the bedroom). You will have your own toilet and bathroom with private room. It is on street car parking however this is a quiet street/neighbourhood. Located in Brooklyn, close to Altona Gate shopping centre (4min drive, 10-15min walk). Rent: $195/week (pay every fortnight) not including bills (gas/electricity, water and internet) + bond. This isn't a party house - you're welcome to have a friends over . however you must respect the house and treat it as if it were your own.
Hi Everyone, Adam here!...My current housemate has just got her own place and is moving out so I am looking for someone to move in for at least 3 Months with option to extend long term, sharing with myself. - Room fits King Size Bed - Large Built in Robes - Fully Furnished House, Except Room - WIFI Internet - 500GB a month ADSL About me - I am 29 years old, an easy going guy, I work full time in finance, keep the place clean and love to cook! I am a sociable guy, and am always up for a chat, I am also very respectful of peoples privacy and have had many successful relationships with other housemates over the years. The place has everything you could possibly want to cook with as it is fully furnished, apart from the available room, so you won't need any appliances etc. There's 3 comfy couches in the living room and you actually have a choice of one of 2 rooms - being a 3 bedroom place with only 2 housemates. I recommend the one with the bigger wardrobe naturally! (It's quite a big built in robe which fits a lot of stuff.) My current housie has a queen size bed in the room at the moment so there's still plenty of space. You can store belongings in the other room and there is a spare mattress in there for guests to, plus there's also a large garage where you can store large items if you've got any excess furniture or sporting gear etc. The house has ducted heating and wall air conditioning. The heating is great so you won't freeze in winter! The house itself is in a great spot, its 500m from Altona Dog Beach, and 2.5km from the main beach and the town centre, which is still walking distance, or a 5min drive. The main shopping street has plenty of parking and facilities such as supermarkets, restaurants, and plenty of cafes etc. There is a bulk billing doctors who take new patients 10mins drive away, as well as vet etc. Seaholme train station is 1.2km away, 3min drive or 12-15min walk, with trains running direct to CBD every 20mins - you'd be at Southern Cross station in 23mins. I drive into the city on occasion and its usually takes me 20-30mins depending on traffic (peak is more like 40mins). There's also a bus stop 550m away. The place has a little fenced in yard suitable for a dog, but the type of dog and its behaviour etc... will be a factor in whether you this would be acceptable or not. I used to look after my housemates dog when she was away or travelled overseas, and don't mind having another mate to keep me company :) If this sounds like a place you're interested in, please don't hesitate to contact me for more info! Look forward to hearing from you. Adam

There is a built in wardrobe in the room! We have set the smallest bedroom up as a study, and the three biggest rooms are the bedrooms. Each roommate has their own bathroom as the master bedroom has an ensuite, the downstairs bedroom has a bathroom and the room for rent is next to the main bathroom. The bathroom has a bath and shower. A large kitchen, dining room and lounge room are downstairs. This house has so much space and is very light and open. The rent per week is $190, it is paid per month, $822 per calendar month. The house is in such a lovely location, next to McIvor Reserve. There is a bus stop just on the end of the street but is only a 15min walk to the station. The house is just off Wembley Avenue where there are lots of great restaurants and a small bakery and grocer. We have a double garage so if you have a car there will be garage parking. The house is already furnished, aside from the bedroom of course! We have a dishwasher, dining table, couches, apple TV, everything! Internet is 20 per month and bills aren't much! Please contact me if you have any questions! I would love to have someone move in within the next month. I get along with pretty much everyone, am a little bit sarcastic and enjoy a good laugh. I'm a working professional, always pay my rent on time and have plenty of experience living in share houses. If you're tidy, respectful and like to have a bit of fun, please shoot me a message. Looking for a room in an existing place, or like-minded people who are interested in looking for a new place.

I'm a 23 year old Indian student studying at RMIT University. I'm an easy to go person and like to meet new people. I've been in Melbourne just over 2 months now and looking for a nice cozy place to settle down!
I hope to find a place where the cost of bills, internet and rent total less than $250 a week. I'm not expecting to have to move till late October/November. I have lots of kitchen tools etc, a microwave and my own bedroom furniture which I want to keep, so no furnished room offers please. I do not wish to share a room with anyone either, sorry. I'm neat and prefer a clean house. Don't have a car, so would prefer to be close to a train stop. And I would like the use of a bath and washing machine. I'm very interested in crafts, and need space for both my study and this interest - promise not to spread myself around. I love to garden, bake, ride my bike and enjoy a glass of red from time to time. I am friendly, caring, respectful of others and their space and happy to make arrangements about food, chores etc. I love dogs, hate cats and won't stand reptiles. Happy to live with children. Next year is my last year of study for my P-12 teaching degree. I study at Vic Uni and can be at St Albans one day and Footscray the next. I also work full time in Melbourne's CBD. Happy to answer any questions.
I work as a photographer for the website Snappr and as a freelance in the film industry. My time is about half and half between home and outside on shoots. I'm looking for a tidy and quiet place, where we respect each other's privacy, while maintaining friendly relations with the occasional chat and shared drink/meal. I don't have much stuff so I would prefer something furnished.
A wonderful cook, I'm eccentric will always have a random fact. Love to laugh, enjoy a good Netflix binge and ordering a pizza for some sneaky cheesy feasting. I am fairly easy going, stable financially, always up for a coffee and although I need my alone time and pretty open for a chat or a meal. I studied music composition and love to sing.
