You have your own entrance and a dry under cover verandah area..The kitchen is modern and has a fantastic large gas stove. There is no TV reception although I have Foxtel connected. The internet is good and is wireless Broadband and there is no land line. I have a Optus mobil which gets excellent coverage. The home is surrounded by bush and has a very relax energy and a real Coast feeling. There is a little bit of storage in the shed but it's limited. Big veggie patch in the backyard (just needs some love). 1 bedroom is available. This bedroom has built in wardrobe and ocean views. Bedroom is unfurnished. But can be furnished/partly furnished on request. House is furnished with TV, lounge, dining table, washing machine and kitchen appliances. I'm hoping to find a long-term home for at least a year; or longer, if all works out well. I definitely like calm and quiet in my home environment, although I do enjoy relating with people when it happens, and having thoughtful and thought-provoking conversations. But basically I'm quite self-contained, independent and enjoy being quiet. Re shared areas; I believe I'm a very considerate, aware and respectful sharer of space. I leave the most minimal footprint possible and clean up as immediately as possible after creating food in the kitchen. As far as my life style/interests are concerned: I'm a teacher who recently retired from working with Indigenous adolescents in central Australia for several years, and before that in Wilcannia and northern NSW. I'm now studying a three year Dru Yoga Teacher Training course; I attend two Dru yoga classes a week, one a private class in Mullum, and one in Byron. I'm a regular volunteer at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery in Ballina (one or two shifts a week) I have my own income. I'm a creative who delights in the aesthetic in all aspects of living. I'm a keen gardener and enjoy planting food, herbs and flowers. I love eating good food and cooking, particularly different ethnic foods. I eat a vegetarian diet, but I'm not rigid about it. I guess if I were asked to encapsulate what I love and believe in, one word would have to be *diversity* and one concept would have to be *unity in diversity*. I'm a traveller and a seeker and always will be. Suffice it to say I can wax lyrical about things I feel passionate about, and act upon them as well.
Three year old house, built in Pottsville because it doesn't flood. Close to town and transport services. Quiet neighbours, mostly older couples. Air-conditioning in all rooms. There is a cleaning roster the person moving in will be expected to join in on. It rotates jobs so it's not 'un-fair' to any of the flatmates. Some of the flatmates are shift-workers and others early morning workers, so a little respect for when people are sleeping is expected. Not a party house / No parties. But friends/ family are welcome to visit. Internet is really fast.
Modern house with fully furnished room for rent, large kitchen, laundry, dinning room. Room has queen size double bed and large floor to ceiling built in robe and ceiling fan. Large yard with bbq unfortunately not pet friendly. Close to beach, creek and public transport and shops. Yard adjoins a park and bush land. Quiet non party house. Prefer working or student. Smoking outside only.

Hey I'm Alice; a chiller who works during the day, enjoys the beach, getting out into the speccy hinterland, and hanging out with my mates. I'm keen to find housemates who respect each other's space but don't mind having a few beers together. I'm house trained and won't drink your milk.
Hello!! We have just moved back to Australia from the UK and are so happy with our choice! We moved to the Gold Coast and were surprised by what a special place it is. We both work in the film industry but in opposite directions so are open to living anywhere on the coast or hinterland from Mermaid Beach down to Byron. We love being outdoors and active, surfing, hiking, chasing waterfalls and trying new coffee shops. We are not looking for a party house and require a non smoking house but we adore animals so a house pet would be a bonus!
Our lovely large three story, eight bedroom home on one acre about 4 kms from Murwillumbah, has a room to rent for a single person. You'll be sharing with 2 or 3 others (male and female), including sharing a bathroom. The property is on the Tweed River with views across to the Springbrook mountains. It’s very relaxing to sit on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful view and hearing the birds. There is a swimming pool, a slow combustion fire place and a dog that spends a lot of time inside with us. Please only contact us if you have stable, full time employment, have no major dramas going on and can live peacefully and respectfully with others. It’s a quiet home with people who enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. No smokers (not even outside) and no drugs! We buy our own food and sometimes have shared meals. Short term rental also considered, if you are in-between homes.
