Hello potential future flatmates! My name is Miranda and I am 21 years old. I am studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and will be completing my degree in June, 2017. After having spent three years in student accommodation, it is well and truly time for me to move out and have the sharehouse experience. I am originally from Tasmania and moved to Melbourne for university and also to embark upon a new adventure. I work part time in a cafe on Sydney Road and I really enjoy my job (for the most part!). I love bad jokes, dogs, travelling (I am off to New Caledonia at the end of November - rejoice!), reading, coffee, food, the odd social drink and meeting new people. My ideal living arrangement would consist of: - Somewhere in the inner-north suburbs (close-ish to uni and work) - Somewhere with public transport nearby (I don't own a car) - A house of 3 - 5 people - Housemates around my age (early - mid twenties) - Other students would be pretty cool, but totally fine if not! - Housemates who are pretty chill with the occasional visit from my parents when they are up from Tassie. - Housemates who are willing to not just be housemates, but friends. I am uncertain about a move-in date as of yet, but I am will be homeless from the 10th of November. I am looking for both summer accommodation or 2017 accommodation. I might be a touch early to the party by putting this up now, but I would rather be safe than sorry. If any of what I have said sounds good to you, feel free to get in touch. I would love to meet you for coffee and get to know you. Have a nice day! :)
Hi, I'm Alastair, over from London on my working holiday. I have a degree in weaving and used to work with dinosaurs. Always up for a drink and a dance, and my cooking is edible.
Close to the City. Tram stop outside the place. Close to all amenities. Lot of restaurants and shops and its very close 10 min walk to lagoon street. RMIT University and University of Melbourne is very close and easy accessible.
Hi ! My name is Laura and I have been in Australia since January 2016 but have just returned from a 3 month S.E Asia trip! I am looking forward to spending the next 3 months here in wonderful Melbourne. I am a nurse and will be working with my agency in the local hospitals. Although I work hard, in my free time I love to go out explore the city, eat all the food, drink all the coffee, and indulge in the Brunswick rd bar scene. Look forward to meeting you and making the most of my last 3 months in Aus!!
Moved from Byron bay earlier this year and plan to study in 2017. Im a very relaxed person who loves wine, pasta and tiramisu. I enjoy my own space but also love socialising and seeing friends.
My name’s John, I’m 29 years old & I’m fairly new to Melbourne. I’m currently working in the CBD doing some construction / renovation work at The Forum theatre. I’m a music lover, it’s one of the reasons I’ve moved to Melbourne, so I’m looking for a flat that has a bit of a musical vibe going. I’m chilled out, social & easy to get along with & I’m looking for a place that is similar. My phone is a bit busted atm & doesn’t take calls, but give me a text if you’re interested… Cheers
I'm a fun outgoing gal, who loves chilling with friends but also loves a good netflix binge. I work full-time in advertising and am also doing my Masters in International Business.
Hello. I'm an exchange student from University of Maryland looking for a place to live near the University of Melbourne. I am working on becoming a Certified Personal Trainer before I make the move to Australia and will be looking for work. I would prefer a studio or 1 bedroom flat but would also love to live with lively, active people that I could get to know in a share house. I enjoy cooking, exercising and going out to dance with friends. I have 4 months listed as my length of stay but ideally I would rent for closer to 5 to 6 months.
I'm a creative person who loves fashion, good music, wine, art and lots of laughs. I work FT as a Visual merchandiser so I generally keep it low-key during the week and socialise over the weekend. This usually involves dinner with friends, going to the gallery/exhibitions, checking out new bars etc. I like to live clean and am respectful of others. Looking for a social place (but I'm not socially dependent) and not just a room to rent. Originally, I'm from the Gold Coast. I've been in Melb for 3 yrs now and have no intention to leave. I love it down here and love the city vibe so a 12month lease would be ideal (and an unfurnished room as I have general bedroom furniture). Essentially, I'm looking for like a minded person/people who like to live a similar lifestyle. I need to move out of my current house by Nov 19th, however I'm able to move/lock in something prior if it's the right fit of location/housemates. I'm also going to Japan from nov 5-12th so potentially would move in after I get back.
Hi there, I have a room becoming available from 01/11/2016 in my two bed flat in Carlton North. Excellent public transport and only a short walk to the CBD, Fitzroy/Collingwood/Carlton/Parkville/Brunswick/Brunswick East and University of Melbourne. Very close to Rathdowne Street and all the restaurants and cafes it has to offer. Trams 1 and 8 stop right outside, and it is a short walk to the 96. Sorry there are no photos right now, I will edit this once I am back from my trip! The flat is semi furnished. The bedroom is unfurnished but does have BIR and enough room for a chest of drawers and bedside table. Happy to add more furniture as most of what is in the flat belongs to my current housemate. Do not have a washing machine or dryer at the moment, but there is a very cheap laundrette a street over ($7 for a wash and 30 min dry). The flat does have an off-road parking space available, I don't have a car so that's all yours! There is also ample free parking on the roads surrounding if friends or family need to park nearby. There is currently 3/4 months left on the lease (I will have to double check that), and I would probably look to renew it for another 6 months once that is up. Rent is paid monthly and is $912.50 per month excluding bills. Currently we have unlimited NBN which is around $20-$25 each per month. Water is included in rent.

Hey! My name is Jordan and I am looking for somewhere to move in ASAP. I have money ready for a bond and I am pretty flexible on the dates/length of stay. I work full time in Carlton so I am looking for somewhere in the northern suburbs to live. I am sociable and chatty, am always up for a few drinks with mates or doing something interesting when not at work... I try not to take myself too seriously and have a good atmosphere around the house, I am laid back and enjoy being around similar, like-minded people. I like to cook, read & write in my spare time but also head out of the house and try and get about when possible. I respect other people's space and pull my own weight with household stuff as I like to be in a nice space! Hit me up if you have something that can work..!
Hi, My name is Nico, I am freshly arrived in Australia directly from Paris, France. I've studied electronics engineering and I specialized in Sound and Images. I work for 2 years for a company who create digital set for musicals, concerts, TV shows. I like every thing which is more or less close to the culture and art. In my everyday life, i try to improve myself. And i definitely prefer simple things of life. In Australia for at least 1 year, I'm looking for a positive and friendly atmosphere with happy people. I will consider my future housemate more like friend or family member than "my door neighbor". I think that sometime make great meals on big table with a lot of cheese and wine is good for your health..

I'm an easy-going, Finland-born guy who has adopted Melbourne as a home and is used to sharehouse living. I'm tidy, courteous towards other people and respect other people's space and privacy. I work in a small architecture firm and in my spare time pretend to dabble in woodwork or pot plants if there's room for it. I enjoy getting a drink or a coffee with my housemates, and try to do some sort of regular exercise.

Hi there, My name is Nell and I'm a 25yo, female who's just moved to Melbourne from NZ! I'm friendly, reliable, tidy and have my own life going on but like to have a friendly flat atmosphere. In the past I've taught sex-ed and worked in a Museum. I'm not a huge party animal, and am more likely to be found reading, playing video games, taking dance/acting classes, going to the gym, or eating a good dessert! If I do decide to party, I tend to go outside the house. I'm looking for friendly, clean, flatmates who aren't sexist, racist or homophobic, hit me back if you think it might be you guys! If you're still looking for a flatmate, I'd love to arrange a viewing sometime soon. Looking forward to hearing from you, Nell
Whatsup everyone, My name is Dom and I’m an 34yo calm down to earth and composed male homo sapiens. Easy going open minded person who can keep the home vibe going which is happy and relaxed. Friendly, considerate, reliable and just very easy to get along with! Working full time as housekeeper for short stays apartments in CBD and occasionally share a hand as bartender/allrounder during busy weekend hours. Also starting event & touring agency with a friend. For last six months I live in creative-space sharehouse in Fitzroy and need to move out till end of November, soon before our tenancy agreement ends. Looking for a nice place to move in and to call a home, preferable in Fitzroy area or even closer to city center. I would like to have roomies who likes to hang out and just talk about life and listen to music, but are also fine with taking time for themselves. I would prefer someone who is not too loud, but still like to have fun. I’m more than willing to pay bond and rent in advance. Looking from 200/250$ max/pw, all bills included. Please call/message me if you have/know of anything! I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely yours, Dom
I am a friendly, open guy who is always looking for the bright sight of life. I have 5 years of experience in sharing a flat and I really enjoy it. I am coming from Germany for a research stay to the University of Melbourne. In particular I am doing cybernetics which is pretty much control engineering. I will stay here for approx. 3 month. As I am pretty much into travelling I want to take the chance and explore more parts of Australia afterwards. In my freetime I am always up for sports and I enjoy to try new things! I especially like to play volleyball, football, tennis, swimming. Moreover I like to go to bars and live music. A must do on my bucket list for Australia is to learn surfing! I am looking forward to a chat in real. Cheers, Felix
I'm 27 and work full time in the city as a law grad. Flexible with move-in date! I'm looking to live with housemates who are pretty independent like me but also want to get to know each other and hang out from time to time. I like to get out and about on the weekend for a bike ride, go to whatever markets are around or go to the pub for a few beers. Also enjoy relaxing at home sometimes as well. I probably spend 2-3 nights a week at home, and will usually be out the other nights at sport or otherwise. I love sport, play hockey all through winter and love going to the footy or watching a few games over the weekend. Ideally looking for a quieter room a bit removed from the common areas, but open to looking at all rooms.
Hi all, Let me tell you a bit about myself… (I’ve gone into depth here). I’m a young intellectual studying to make my shot at the world, I’m at RMIT studying International Studies, I should (fingers crossed) have only 6 months left of my degree. I’m a Queenslander at heart and come with my own personally bag of ‘what is this weather?!’ sayings. I’ve been in Melbourne for just over a year, and will be here for at least another 10 months, then we shall see where life takes me. I’ve lived in Brisbane and Indonesia since school, and have lived in my fair share of houses, so have an honest appreciation for house standards and etiquette. I’m clean and tidy, and for the past 5 months have been the domestic goddess of an apartment filled with messy boys (think Oscar the Grouch then times by 3). I’m generally easy going and laid back, looking for some decent people with decent world views to have decent conversations with. I’m searching for a house that has positive vibes, friendly people, and that I can come home to after a horrible day, have a vent and drink a glass of wine. Ideally the house will be filled with people who have similar sleeping habits, so no 2am weeknight gatherings with the music pumping, and similar social values (i.e. giving a crap about other people). I really love cooking, and haven’t really been able to do much in my time here, so I would love a place with a healthy foody focus. I’m okay with sharing some things, but usually like to buy groceries individually. I want a house where I can come home and there’s always enough milk for a cup of tea. I can’t afford to buy a house because I’m brunching too frequently, damn smashed avo… Seriously though, I’m a coffee fiend and love a good café sesh. I would love a cute vege patch, would love to grow my own food and be more self-sufficient. I’m somewhat creative, and would love to have enough room for a little art corner somewhere, and would love to be with people who value culture, music, arts, food, coffee, health and fitness, and positive sincere relationships. I don’t have a car and will need to rely on public transport, go-gets, or friend’s generosity. I work at a bar in Hawthorn and I’m looking for some more work. I’m financially supported by the parentals, so affording rent will not be any issues. I would ideally like to be on a lease, I’m not interested in any dodgy situations. I like to keep to myself sometimes, be independent with my actions, and to grow and learn and discover new things. I love language, so bonus points if anyone speaks French, Spanish or Indonesian. Hope to hear from you soon, Jess xx
28 year old couple from Leeds, England, I am a PA working in the CBD, Carl is a DJ/producer/audio guy working for an events company building events and festivals. Currently in South Yarra in temporary accommodation. Were both really chilled and easy going, looking for a clean/tidy place with a nice kitchen so we can cook up some nice dinners.
