Hiya! I'm on the lookout for a long term room for rent in the inner northern suburbs, anywhere around Fitzroy, Carlton, Abbotsford, Collingwood etc. Just wondering if anyone has anything available at the moment? I'm looking to move between now and early Feb, my price range is anything between $600-$800 pcm (including or excluding bills). Now just the usual little bit about me; I'm super easy going, clean and tidy, easy to get along with and like to hang out. I also really enjoy just a good laugh! I'm not fussy and just want a fun place to live. I have a steady job and this year I'll be studying Biomedicine at Latrobe University. I know I'm a young chicken, although you wouldn't pick it at all. I have experience in share houses, I'm very respectable and low key. Definitely not your usual early 20's party person. I can provide references, payslips, etc. Shoot through a message if you have any questions or think you may have a room. Look forward to hearing from you! Many thanks! Lola
Hello. I am easy-going, friendly, clean, respectful, non-smoker and quiet. I am new to Melbourne and pursuing a job in my professional career; interested in a shared house room with young professionals or students; preferably late 20s and early 30s who are friendly and easy going. I am looking for a place that is clean, tidy and cozy; targeting Moreland and surrounded areas; close to public transport . I like music, reading, fitness, healthy food and definitely movies. :). I go out regularly 3 days pw and occasionally the rest of the days. For the time I spend at home, I will be busy applying for jobs or working on engineering- related certificates, with short rests to have small talks or a drink.
studying, working, previous experience in a share house, looking for a room early-mid Feb- ideally looking for an unfurnished room, looking to make a house a home- currently spending Uni holidays with my family in Byron and working over the holidays- I'm tidy and responsible, enjoy a nice cold bevvy after a hard days work (or any Ol' day) I'm an op-shop addict, love some good tunes and come with a megaboom, mad baking/dinner skillz and make a meaannn margarita. Feel free to shoot me a message or ask any questions- Thanks, Dayna. X
This place is ideal for a uni student. You would be living in an extremely central location, close to all of the hipster suburbs like Brunswick and Fitzroy and only a tram ride away from the city as well as within walking distance to universities like RMIT and Unimelb. There is a tram stop right outside the door and lovely parks not far away. The house itself is very spacious and great for entertaining. I fell in love with it and the people pretty much as soon as I moved in and know you will too. We like to keep the atmosphere rather peaceful and chilled during the week, so we can all concentrate on our studies. However on weekends we are quite social, creating a perfect balance in our lives.
Just down to earth Tassie chicks seeking a fun yet chilled space that is close to the University of Melbourne and other funky suburbs. We are all full time uni students about to begin our second year. The three of us are always keen to explore this buzzing metropolis and all it has to offer. We like to think of ourselves as fairly arty farty, outdoorsy and open minded peeps, accepting of all walks of life. Love a laugh and party but also very conscientious with our studies, eager to work hard and achieve good results at uni.
I am a clean, tidy person who is very happy to help out with any chores that need to be done. I have lived in a tiny Japanese apartment for a year and so have no problem living with not much space to breathe.
We are sociable Dutchies with a good sense of humor. We would like our appartment to feel like a real home: this means it's clean, tidy and filled with laughter and wine. We enjoy social events and going out for a coffee as much a quit an evening on the couch with Netfix. Kevin's hobbies include cooking and football and mine are dancing and reading. We are both very active people and enjoy sports.
Been either travelling or in share houses for the last 6 years, so I know how to get along with just about anyone! Student and a bartender so there is a bit of balance in my life. Up for some beers or just to hang out and have a chilled movie night. Am not going back to Shepparton, pls let me live with you!
(note - I don't own dog per the pic above; we're just good friends...) G'day, I'm Max. I'm 30 and work as a professional in the CBD (9-5 M-F). Have been living in Melbourne for 6 years since migrating across from Adelaide. I enjoy my sport (namely soccer, AFL (go the crows) cricket, tennis, whatever is on...) Home is a place for chilling out - random chats on the couch, or sitting quietly with a book are equally appealing depending on the mood. Weekends are variable depending on the season, from being busy with mates, to random travel, to simply sitting on the back porch with a G&T or three. I come with an extensive herb collection. Also a cherry tomato plant (well, three) that's just starting to spit things out. Big fan of getting outdoors and random camping trips. I keep fairly active, and ride my bike more or less everywhere, as well as play the odd social sport a couple of times a week. Have done my fair share of travelling. My last adventure was driving from Uluru to Darwin with a swag in boot. True story. Looking for people who are, laid back, easy going, reliable and cheerful. A sense of humour is a necessity (why live in a household without laughter?) Otherwise, just people who have their own shit going on but won't be a stranger and will partake in the odd Sunday barbie (/wine). GoT addicts are looked upon highly.
HI, I’m really interested in your listing! The location seems perfect. I’m a working uni student looking at making your place my home (long-term) while I study in Parkville. Born and raised in Melbourne’s outer west. I’m going to be out of a home come the end of Jan. so looking at moving in soon or whenever possible (: Briefly I’m a pretty easy going guy, like to socialise, go for brunch, go for a hit of tennis and cook. Above other things, I’m a very responsible, respectful, clean and tidy person. I don’t mind at all doing my part around the house, mowing lawns, gardening etc. I’m LGBTI+ friendly, looking for a place that is also. Looking forward to meeting you and the other house mates! Cheers 🙂 Liam
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a place to call home. After a while sharing room in CBD I feel it's time for me to find something private so I can feel more comfortable as well. I'm 30 years old, working in hospitality and studying a Diploma. I like watching Netflix when I have the time, travelling, living new experiences and listening to music. I'm really easy going, tidy (not in a crazy way) and respect others and their space and expect the same in return. Talks from time to time are great for me or sharing a meal in order to know a bit about the people I'm living with, I'm sure we all have fascinating stories. Looking forward to meeting you. See ya!!
Hi, I'm Kat. Im 37. I'm a little geeky, a little artsy, and these days much more inclined to a quiet wine on a Saturday night than a thumping nightclub. I also run my own learning and development company (I work from home some of the time) so am responsible, gainfully employed, etc etc. I'm looking for a new home with housemate/s that can balance social interaction and fun with respect for privacy and quiet time. Y'know, grown-up stuff!
Hi all! We're looking for a 2 to 3 bedroom place not to far from the city. Carlie works at a non profit, booking Auslan interpreters, and Jackie is a nurse who will be starting her masters this year. We're quite chill, clean, and friendly, and we like to have some wine and a chat sometimes, and our own space at other times! We've lived together since May, and since we're both great, we want to continue doing so, plus/minus a third person. Carlie is a salsa dancer and Jackie is a cake/piñata/craft-making extraordinaire!
I work part time and am also studying fine art ceramics at rmit. I’ve also been working in my family’s distillery the past year making vodka and gin. I’m very clean and considerate and am looking for a home not a sharehouse. I like to keep to myself yet am social and do love to share a bottle of wine on occasion and have a chat. I’m into art and design and spend most weekends visiting galleries or going for walks and drawing in the gardens. Let me know if you have any questions! Belle
Hey there, The name is Shrav and studying Business at La Trobe University. I consider myself as an orderly, social and tidy person who cleans up well after. I enjoy having a drink or two with a good conversation and going out on the weekends. Also, know a bit of strumming the guitar to entertain myself and others too, if they looking forward to some trouble :) I am currently doing my travel at South Asia and India, and the ideal time for me to move in would be on 10th of February as my uni would commence shortly. So feel free to shoot a message if you feel I would be a good fit to your lovely house. Looking forward to some cool new housemates. Cheers :)
I'm going to move to Melbourne to start my PhD (full time) at the University of Melbourne. I’m easy going, open mind and I love Netflix. I’m generally quiet but I like to being social and going out sometimes. I look forward to finding a new home.
I just finished uni in Canberra and I'm moving to Melbourne at the start of February to start a job at a law firm in the CBD. Love to travel, been to around 40 countries so far. I love to play sport (soccer and futsal) and try to get to the gym (but to be honest it's more of an ambition than a habit). I'm a good cook but awful at planning meals. I'm also a politics junkie and enjoy some good political satire on abc. I've previously leased an apartment in Canberra, stayed in student accommodation in the UK on uni exchange and made my way through countless hostel dorm rooms. I'm looking for housemates that are keen to hang out and chat/eat/drink but also realise I sometimes need my own space too. Regular house/family dinners wouldn't go amiss! Location is important but I'd much rather find the right group of people who have similar values to me. If you like binging tv shows, exploring the city, going on walks and bike rides and want someone who is friendly, clean, low maintenance and easy to live with, then I could be your guy. It's a cliche but I'm looking for a home not a house. "It's the vibe" - The Castle
Personally I am pretty easy going, am Australian but have lived in the Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, France and Sweden, like music, travel, reading, vegetarian food (I don't care what you eat, though. I mean if it's really weird I might judge, but I promise I'll do it silently), podcasts, trying to keep up my French, running and entertain myself by following the trainwreck that is American politics right now. Professionally I'm an electrical engineer (but one of the ones who talks to people, I swear!) going to be working at Telstra next year - if you've had a terrible experience with them I am so sorry, please don't hold it against me! I've previously house-shared with one other person and 9 other people before so have a decent range of experience, am now looking for either a room in a household where there's some kind of weekly cleaning schedule, or to team up with someone and rent a place nearish the CBD.
Hello all!!! I am a 23 year old single male currently residing in Sydney, but moving to Melbourne in mid-January for a 2 year placement in an IT consulting job. I am highly interested in health and fitness, and have a consistent meal structure, boil my own rice/pasta regularly, and have a "clean as you go" mindset in the kitchen so that it can be mostly left in a good state. Personality-wise, I'm a social introvert, meaning I love to go out and meet friends and new people, while also being happy with my own company. Since I am moving to a new city, I am more than happy to get to know new people and have a great time. I'm a punctual person in life, and will always pay rent and bills on time. I am looking forward to talking to potential future housemates.
Hey I'm a professional working full-time in the CBD. I'm a relaxed, easy going guy who enjoys exploring good food and coffee. I like cleanliness and will do my part round the place. I'm not after a party house but I do enjoy relaxing at home with a drink and also get to the gym most mornings. Looking at sharing with only 1 or two others, I spend every second weekend in Brisbane. After somewhere for 4-6months and potentially longer.
I work full-time as barista in the city and part-time student, looking for a place ASAP, I'm easy going, like doing yoga, swimming some time boxing, and enjoy drink with my books and movies.
Yet another twenty-something looking for sweet digs north of the city! Currently looking for an unfurnished room in/around the regular Northside areas. Long-term lease is ideal, as I'm looking for something pretty stable. Close to public transport is a must as I'm a slave to our PTV overlords and need them to get to my jobs in the city. Preferably up to $200-230/wk, but can do higher if price includes bills. I work full-time-equivalent in ticketing and other arts/festival admin-y jobs, which means: a) I'm out of the house quite a bit, especially during festival time, b) I have a steady-enough income that means rent/bills get paid on time, and pantry is always in full supply of Blend 43, and c) I can offer you free tickets to things as an apology in the rare event I leave a gross pan in the sink for an unacceptable amount of time! Not a great cook, but can contribute in other ways like taking out bins and spiders, and not being overly-around when you need some space. I'm also clean, reasonably tidy, polite to your visiting mum, and all those good things. Will be in Adelaide for work Feb 10 - March 20, so looking to move in either ASAP or in late March when I'm back in town. Of course, I'm more than happy to sign a lease, pay rent etc. for the time I'm away if I'm able to move in before I ship out to SA.
