HELLO! Anna here! I've recently returned to Melbourne from overseas and am, once again, looking for a place to call HOME. A bit about me- I'm 22, and am about to start work in mental health research in the CBD. In my spare time I like juggling, dancing, grooving, going to gigs, having a glass of red and trying to make things grow. I'm super laid back, clean and always down for a laugh. Looking for a room in a house with positive vibes, available to move in ASAP. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm 26 from Coventry, United Kingdom. I'm a Veterinary Nurse working full time so it goes without saying that I love animals ! I also love food whether that's eating in together or checking out all the places to eat that Melbourne has to offer ! During my evenings I like to chill out, chat, watch tv/films. I also like to keep fit so like to take a fitness class/gym/run a few times a week ! I've lived in uni accommodation before so I know the ins and outs. I'm clean and tidy up after myself and would appreciate someone who shares this trait. I respect people's privacy and as much as I like company I appreciate that sometimes it's nice to have downtime to yourself ! Weekends I like to explore, travel, go for drinks - hopefully when the weather gets warmer hit the parks and beaches. Quite big into music I love going to gigs and festivals :) Hit me up if you think you have something suitable ! (Prefer somewhere that's furnished)
I am a very tidy and organized person. I'm super easy to get along with, generally quiet and enjoy my personal space but I do enjoy socializing and great conversations. I hoping to find some relaxed living enviroment and friendly flatmates. In my spare time I am an avid reader and fitness enthusiast.
I am Yamila, 26 years old from Argentina. I am working full time in a grocery near parliament. I arrived in Melbourne 1 month ago and I am living in Yarraville. I am easygoing, organised and tidy person, and I love to do sports and be outside as much as I can. I am looking for a private furnished room to move in at the beginning of October. Any questions, please feel free to ask!
I am a recently graduated Doctor from Chile, currently in Melbourne for an observership at Monash Hospital. So I will be working from Monday to Friday for two months. I love to have a good time, have a laugh with some drinks, keen on getting to know the city, outdoor activities, travelling and most important to enjoy life.
I'm self sufficient, reliable and respectful. I'm looking for a relaxed place to call home and housemates that have their own things going on but don't mind sharing a glass of wine or a boogie on the occasion.
I am a student at Melbourne University looking for a share house. I study science, so I have a lot of contact hours and will be out of the house quite a bit, however will be fully committed to contributing to the house! I'm easy going, clean and love a good chat. I enjoy being active, going for walks as well as relaxing on the couch with a good movie. I do appreciate going out, but also enjoy a quiet night in, especially if I've got a lot of study and assignments to complete.
Hello everybody! I'm Nick, I'm a musical performer and singer. At the moment I'm working in a comedy show in Melbourne and sometimes in Sydney. I need a share accomodation or private as well and hope to find great flatmates. Thank you in advance guys!
My name is Esther and I’m a 26 year-old PhD student, currently studying at Durham University in the UK. I’m visiting Melbourne University for 3 months as part of my PhD (beginning of October – end of December) and am looking for somewhere to rent. I will be at the Parkville campus, so am looking for a place within walking distance of this area. I’m chilled-out, but tidy and someone who does their chores! I’m a person that likes to be outside and exploring the city. I love being active, listening to live music, reading and love a good chat! I’m looking to make friends while I’m in Melbourne, so looking for a house/flat with other people :)
ABOUT THE HOUSE This cosy and fresh single storey Carlton terrace gives the benefit of living in a workers cottage home, but with a very recently renovated, well lit and airy bathroom and kitchen. With a tram stop literally out the front of the house (the 1 and 6), and the 96 line nearby, it's a matter of minutes to get to Melbourne Uni, Lygon Street restaurants, the shops and gyms, and it doesn't take more than 20 minutes to get into the CBD. The beautiful Rathdowne Village is about a two minute walk away, with great Sunday brunch spots and very good coffee! There's also lots of cool pubs in the backstreets nearby for a brew. The house itself is very clean, with a bathroom and kitchen renovated in the last few years. It has a gas stove and oven and gas heater in the lounge room. Two tenants are moving out, leaving a new tenant Patricia, a journalism exchange student from Amsterdam as the person you'll be living with. We are currently on a month to month but have been offered a 12 month lease so the incoming people will join with Patricia to transfer with the outgoing tenants (Meabh and John) and sign the new lease with our agent. The agent and landlord are great, any issues they always resolve straight away, they are very supportive and easy to liaise with. ABOUT THE ROOM There are currently the two big rooms of this house becoming available on Wednesday 27th September. Ideally we want to fill these rooms having the person move in between Wednesday 27th at the earliest and Saturday 30th at the latest. One room is at the front of the house and gets amazing natural light but is not for a light sleeper being near the road. The second room has less natural light but is much quieter. Both rooms have very clean new carpet and have been kept in pristine condition. If you're interested and would like to have a look at the place, get in touch asap and send through a message telling us a little about yourself, your interests, and the lifestyle you're seeking. We want to lock the new tenants in asap, so if you are interested, we will be booking inspections for Thursday and Friday evening and potentially on the weekend, so get in fast! This is a very cheap house for how nice it is and close to the city so it is always popular. Hopefully it will be your new home!
Hey peeps! We are moving out of our lovely studio apartment in the heart of Carlton North at the 26.09.2017! The apartment has a ki.tchen, a small but newly renovated bathroom including a shower, plenty of storage opportunities as well as enough space for a couch and kitchen table! The bed is upstairs, which makes the apartment very organised and leaves much of space to hang out in the "living room". It has a huge window front which lights up the room very nicely and you have a great view on the green neighborhood. The apartment is one out of 6 similar studio apartments which are all in one house. It has a huge backyard including a garage with furniture (from which you can choose your very own stuff for the apartment) as well as a washing machine and a grill! The location is just awesome, as you'll live right in between Fitzroy, Brunswick and Carlton (max. 10 min walk to each). It's a 3-minute walk to Lygon Street and Nicholson Street. Also, the bus stop is only a few steps next to the house and you are only a 3-minute walk away from tram line 1, 6 and 96. The apartment is especially suitable for couples, but also a great catch for best friends and someone who'd appreciate living alone. The other apartments are occupied by couples, all with a different nationality and very rad. You'll mostly find them hanging out in the backyard or meet them in the hallway. All of us are very laid-back and open to everyone, so the atmosphere in the house is always more than chill! Rent is $430 a week, including bills + wifi Happy to hear from you soon! <3
Hello, I'm an Interior designer (with some creative projects on the side). I'm interested in many things and curious about everything, but mostly my time is focused on design, some music and reading, and exploring new places. I'm very open minded / easy going and easy to live with, and I respect shared space. But I also want to live in a clean house where everyone contributes. I'm looking for a share house with 3-4 other people, similar age and preferably mixed genders - I'd love an active house where we engage and spend time together and can have a laugh, whilst still having personal space / time too. A parking space or permit would also be ideal :) Look forward to meeting you!
I am a registered nurse but also work for Mecca Maxima in the city. I am a Tassie girl but moved to Melbourne in Feb and am loving it. I am specifically looking for a house that has a community feel as moving from Tassie I haven't got many friends in Melbs yet so would love to have a good bunch of mates. I am respectful, clean and enjoy my own space as well. I am always on time for paying bills and respect others privacy. I also have some great banter!
I am friendly and neat. I would love to have a drink and chat with my future roomie every now and then. I work part time so I wont be home most of the time. I enjoy baking and don't mind baking at random hours of the night (if I am awake) and yea I am basically looking for someone who is easy going and is sociable.
Hi! I'm Alba Carrillo. I'm a PhD student (28) working full-time at the University of Valencia (Spain). As a part of my research project, I'll be working at Melboutne University for 3 months, so I'm looking for a place from 17th September to 16 December. I'm a psychologist and my research is about happiness and wellbeing, so I try to apply it in my life too :) I love animals (I'm a cat owner in Spain but I will travel alone) and nature, and I'm quite sensitive about it. I like to go out and to visit new places, I love food and I'm always willing for a good chat at home too. I like indie and alternative music. I'll be working during this period so I'll follow a quiet schedule during weekdays, and I'll try to make the most of my time there traveling and visiting new places on weekends. Looking forward to find a place to call home!
Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I'll be in Melbourne as part of my PhD from September 23rd to to December 21st. I'll be working at the university on weekdays and explore the city and surroundings on the weekends. I've lived in shared flats in the Netherlands and Germany for years and mainly enjoyed the experience. As did my roommates :) I like to cook, I share my food and I clean after myself. Also I have respect for others' need for space and sleep. It would be great to live with people that want to hang out a little (cooking/eating/drinking together) but I am also fine if you wanna do your own thing as long as we manage to keep a nice atmosphere and decently tidy communal areas. I Would be happy to hear from you!
Hey, I'm Ainsley :) I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at RMIT and working part time in a cafe on weekends and as a journalist through the week, travelling to Ballarat on Thursdays and Fridays. I am easygoing, friendly and enjoy meeting new people. I am fairly busy with uni and two jobs, but on weekends I love to socialise and am happy to chat anytime :) I'm looking for housemates who are also friendly and happy to socialise but also have their own space. Currently looking for somewhere for 3-6 months, but it could potentially be longer. I am looking to move out of my current apartment from the 27th September onwards, so my move date is flexible. Feel free to send me a message if you think I'd fit in with you!
Hi there - I am a considerate, reliable and friendly housemate. I work full-time in HR at a Hospital and I'm originally from Brisbane but living in Melbourne. I like to unwind with friends and enjoy getting out and about exploring all Melbourne has to offer on the weekends. I like to keep fit and enjoy cooking. I'm hoping to find a place that feels like home, not just a house.
Hi, my name is Ed and I'm a 31 year old who has just arrived from New Zealand, working full time as a Project Manager in construction. I'm always busy during the week with work and where possible, I like to get out and do lots of different things (running, touch rugby, swimming, gym, seminars, read, chill, etc). On weekends, I like to enjoy good food and get out. Occasionally I'll party, but now that I'm in my 30s, I definitely appreciate quiet time aswell. I'm looking for a place where people have their own lives but also have a yarn and even a couple beers/laughs now and then. Cleanliness (though not OCD clean) and being respectful are important to me and I'm looking for a place that appreciates these aswell. If you have a place somewhere around Carlton or within a short bike ride, please contact me! Thanks, Ed
HEY YOU! Lovely human/s with a spare room/s in your house! Are you: - A houseproud person who loves to create a beautiful, clean, tranquil living space? - Someone who has their own life and likes their own space, but also likes a bit of a cosy family vibe at home, not just living in your bedroom but having occasional chats in th kitchen or over cups of tea or an occasional shared meal? - Someone who likes to have an occasional dinner party/backyard BBQ, but not a big partier/drinker? - Queer-friendly, left-leaning, and friendly? - Non-smoker? (or outside smoker only, but preferably totally non-smoking) Do you: - Love and/or make music and/or art? - Love houseplants maybe a little bit too much? - Not watch TV/not have a TV/watch some Netflix shows on occasion but mostly in your own room? I'm looking for a new home. I'm a little heartbroken right now as 3 months ago I moved into the perfect space, but then the landlord decided they wanted to make more money from it and kicked us out to get a family in :'( Moving into a pre-established home would be preferable, but I'm also open to starting a new house with cool peeps. The issue is that I want somewhere ASAP (Just have to give 2 weeks notice at my current place, but have to be out by Nov 23rd - preferably much sooner as the nearest train station is going to be closed from Oct 6th and that's gonna make life very difficult!!) as I am going to be very busy in late Sept/early Oct and I don't have a lot of time for househunting! At least one female/nb housemate preferred, but could be convinced for the right dude. I'd like to live with 2 people ideally, open to sharing with 1 or 3 but probably not more than that. ME: - 28yo female musician/artist/voice coach. Friendly, silly, queer, sings a lot and sometimes loud but mostly well, and only in reasonable hours/when you aren't home. - I like to be really clean & tidy and make a beautiful home full of art and plants and pretty colours. - Non-smoker. Not much of a drinker. Not vegetarian but not eating a lot of meat at home. - I am really busy and keep to myself a lot working on my music etc, but I lived in a house previously with dudes who just lived in their rooms and I hated it... I love living with people who are down for chats and cosiness and laughs together when our schedules line up. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN A HOUSE: - Preferably an actual house, not an apartment. - Sunshine! - Close or otherwise convenient to grocery stores (I don't have a car, only bicycle/motorbike/PT) - OSP for my small motorbike (can just be front yard or small side path) - Either quite cheap rent (between $500-800/month) for just a bedroom, OR... - Open to paying $800-$1000/month for somewhere that has an extra sunroom/study/office space from which I could teach voice students (or a very large bedroom which I could split with a divider to make into a semi-professional space.) - I am also currently renting a studio in Brunswick which I teach from 2-3 days a week. If my new home is around $500 - 700, I could afford to just teach from the studio 4-5 days a week. If it's $700-800, I'd wnna teach from home a couple days a week (so I could get someone in to share the costs of the studio)... if it's $800+ I'd want to be teaching exclusively from home as I wouldn't be able to also afford the studio. If I sound like a good match for your home and vice versa, please get in touch!
