Hi, I'm a student about to go into my second year of my bachelor of fine arts. As a housemate I'm generally very quiet and clean, but love cooking (not just for myself but for others). I'm very quiet during the week and spend a lot of time reading books or watching films, but I love to catch up during the weekends and socialise. :) I'm a vegetarian but have lived with both meat eaters and vegans so other peoples' food choices don't bother me! Also, I come with many houseplants. I'd love to live with other people involved in the arts, or other students but this isn't a necessity!
Hi, my name is Carlos and I'm a student of master in engineering at University of Melbourne. My wife and I are serious, clean, financeable stable and honest. My wife worked at Goethe Institut Sao Paulo for 8 years. We are a clean, serious and enjoyable couple. We are Brazilian. Shelived 5 years in Germany and I lived 1 year in Canada in shared houses. We are in Australia/Melbourne for 1 week and looking for a place where we can stay for one month or maby more to look after our own house.
Hey! I would like to find a room in a shared flat with students for the period of 14th April till end of september. I'm used to live with flatmates and I appreciate a "normal" tidy home ;-) I'm a respectful and spontaneous flatmate with a good humour. I'm in Melbourne to write my masters thesis in analysing remotely sensed data. Feel free to contact me, I'm pleased to meet you! Cheers :-) Kim
Hi Well, I am a quite, clean, honest, tidy, considerate and respectful person. I like to deal with simple, easy going people, who are friendly, I wanted to continue my studies to develop my skills as well as enjoying a life in a new lovely environment. I like to go for movies, theatre, restaurant, do some exercise, sometimes, I like to just relax at home especially after long long day
Hi! My name is Miki and I am from Tokyo, currently on a working holiday visa. I started living in shared housing in university and have never stopped since! I have lived in university dorms, shared flats, and most recently a 30 person share house in Tokyo. I've really enjoyed the balance of having a room to myself while always having the option to talk to someone after a long day, instead of just coming home to an empty apartment. I enjoy hiking and other outdoor pursuits, baking, playing cards and board games, and finding fun things to do around the city (especially if they are free!).
I´m Spanish guy working in a government agency . I am friendly, tidy, respectful, honest and kind. I would like to live with people from other countries to learn more different cultures. looking somewhere close ( by walk or by bike ) to Carlton, wher i work
Hi, my name is Dave, and I am looking for a studio, 1 bedroom apartmment, granny flat long term (12 mths or more). I am 35 yrs old, work in Pascoe Vale for a medical company. During the week I tend to stay at home apart from thursday nights for cricket training. If I do go out on a weekend I do not bring the party home. Happy to meet up for coffee so you I can ask a few questions, as I'm sure you'd like to ask me some. Cheers
I'm Conni, a 24 year old geology/environmental studies postgraduate student at melbourne university. I've had experience living with all sort of different people in Germany as well as London so I know how things are workingin a great shared house ;) I'm from Germany and I will stay for one year. I am creative, crazy, very thoughtful and very fun to hang out with and I like a good laugh. I have probably read about 5000 books but you will get the biggest nonsense out of me (you don't even have to try very hard). I like to play a bit on my Ukulele and I love all kind of arts, individuality and people who do things their way! I'm kind of nerdy when it comes to Geology and Arts and books. But always easy to get along with and interested in all sort of stuff - especially people and music. When I manage to do some outdoor activity I am really excited about it! That includes skiing, climbing, hiking, ... travelling too. If nature is to far away, I try to ignore that by doing a lot of work out in a park/beach/playground/... I'm a vegeterian and I like to keep kitchen and bathroom clean.
Hey I'm 25, looking for a chilled and sociable place to live, ideally long term. I work full time but definitely like to make the most of my days off and it would be great to find some house mates who like to hang out occasionally/have dinner or drinks together. Of course considerate of other peoples space and pull my weight with cleaning etc. I'm pretty artistic, really in to music and love going to festivals, travelling and exploring the delights of Melbourne i.e drinking too much coffee, going to galleries, chilling in the park, beaching etc. x
I am considerate of others, like a clean environment and pays rent and share of bills on time. I like discussions in general and have hobbies and interests. I think that is what makes me a great housemate! Looking for a nice place to settle for 6 months or more.
Hi I'm Romany. I'm 25 (but very mature for my age - not to sound wanky) and studying screen and media production at RMIT. My main interests are film (hence film school) and music so I tend to spend a lot of time at the cinema and gigs around Melbourne. But I'm also really into health and sustainable living, travel, drinking tea and chilling out and contemplating the world. I also love animals and have been a vegetarian since I was 14. I'm looking for a more mature and respectful sharehouse, as I tend to prefer relaxing and watching a bit of Netflix with a nice dinner over partying every weekend. I've lived in sharehouses for the last 6 years so I'm very used to how things go when it comes to shared living. I'm a fairly social person, so prefer living in a 'home' rather than just a place that people eat and sleep. I love the community feel of a sharehouse and chilling with housemates when the mood strikes, but also very respectful of the fact that everybody needs their independent/alone time, especially when things get busy with uni and work. I'm clean and tidy and can bring with me a gorgeous old 70s style three seater couch, plus a TV and DVD collection. I also ran my previous sharehouse for 18 months so I'm almost pathologically punctual when it comes to paying rent and bills on time. I'm not in a rush to find a new place, so above all I'm looking for a place that feels like the right fit. Send me a message if you think we might get along!
Hi, I'm Genesis. 23 year old Melbournian. I've been working full time in IT Sales/Management over the last 18 months. My mates would say I'm social, fun and someone you'd have a laugh with. Although I usually only get to see them during the weekends over a beer, or at soccer during the week. As I'm usually busy working outside of your standard 9-5. I am clean and tidy. Always open to having dinner or even cooking together. Big fan of music and going to a gig/festival every now and then. Food, drinks and music is the way to go. Looking for a place in the inner north to settle down in for at least the next 6-12 months.
My name is Kay, male, from West Africa. I'm currently a graduate student at CSU melbourne campus, studying Business Administration. I'm a very friendly person, and easy to get along with. I like to read, i also like to sketch sometimes. I love music and I love to cook. I don't smoke, but i am the occasional drinker. I am very tidy, and quiet. I try to respect other people's space as well as their lifestyle, sexual orientation, religion and culture. Uhhh... I'm loyal, dependable and nice. and I'm open to sharing a house with either male, female or both And yeah! I've got no pets.
I'm an art historian doing a masters in art conservation and am moving back to Melbourne after living in Europe for the past 5 years. I love to do a bit of gardening, listen to lots of music, really enjoy housemate hang outs, am down for fighting the patriarchy and do a killer nutbush.
Hey! My name is Luke, I'm moving to Melbourne to begin my Masters in Clinical Psychology. I'm pretty easy going, I love animals and have a partner staying in Adelaide to finish her teaching degree. I'll be pretty busy with Uni during the week but I'm keen to get out and explore Melbourne or hang out and have a drink when I have free time. Other than that I like going to the gym, trying new foods or planning my next trip! Send me a message and we can have a chat :)
Just moved to Melbourne to start a Master at UniMelb. I'm originally from France, but have lived in the US and in Canada. I'm friendly, laid-back, enjoy meeting new people and looking to discover every part of this city!
Hello! I work in hospitality and I've just moved to Melbourne. I've lived in Sydney all of my adult life in shared housing situations, so I'm pretty chill and considerate of other people's needs. I prefer living in a place where the occupants are happy to mingle and socialise, especially over drinks and/or food. I enjoy cooking at home, and will be bringing a bunch of cool kitchen toys with me! At other times I run fairly regularly for exercise, or play video games on the computer. My work hours will likely be late. I do my best to keep things quiet when I come home late and have never had complaints from the other 9-5ers I've lived with. I don’t have a pet but love animals, so I’m happy to feed or walk/exercise your pets. I’m looking for a long-term home (6 months or more) and would like to move in sooner rather than later, but I'm fairly flexible.
Hi there! We are couple that met while traveling over a year ago from Scotland and the US. We are relocating to Melbourne as I found a job in the CBD. We are excited to settle for a bit and look forward to making Melbourne our home away from home. We're friendly, easy-going, and respectful people. We're both clean and tidy. We love the outdoors and hope for a nice backyard or courtyard to spend some time in. We have lived together before as well as in a multitude of share houses and living environments. We are happy to socialize with a couple drinks, or share a cup of tea and some biscuits. We also tend to keep busy reading, working, or being outdoors. Give us a shout if you have a room available for a couple. We are looking to stay long term in Melbourne; but, want to sign up for a shorter stay (4-6 months) at first, before committing to a place for a year or more. We look forward to hearing from you, getting to know the people, and of course the city.
Hello :) My name is Christina. I justed moved to Australia this February and am staying here for 6 months to study Food Science at University of Melbourne. I enjoy music, doing sports and am always ready for a laugh and a glass of wine or beer as I am German haha. But I also appreciate my own space. Don't worry I am a clean and friendly person :) I'd prefer a furnished room. Originally I am from Germany but I have been living in Switzerland for the last 5 years. I look forward to meeting you!
Hi guys, my name is Miranda, a 24 year old girl (or women, I think something in between haha) from the Netherlands. I arrived in Melbourne about 7 months ago and totally love it! Not only did I fall in love with the city but also with a real Aussie. I just finished my Masters in Nutrition and Health with an internship at the Royal Childrens Hospital. I am really excited at the moment because they offered me a part-time job as a researcher for 2 days a week (don't worry, I'm not a boring researcher who's wearing a labcoat and glasses all day haha). In addition, I will volunteer for another 3 days a week. In the meantime I will be looking for other full-time jobs too. I really like to bake and cook some healthy meals, sport so now and then (I even started playing footy), and like to be creative with my sewing machine. I've always lived with other roommates and that's really nice because people are often around in the common area. I am really social and like to get to known my roommates, eat together, watch a movie and drink some tea or wine. At the same time I'm very independent so I also enjoy moments to myself. I would love to meet you if you think we will be a good fit!
Hello there future housemate(s), I’m Sanjit, a 22-year-old student who’s looking to move to Melbourne from Brisbane in order to pursue my Master’s degree in Food science at the University of Melbourne. I’m very reliable with rent and other bills (can provide references of previous housemates). I’ve lived in many share houses before so I know the drill! I’m hygienic, clean and tidy! I’m very chilled out and laid-back (so much so that I’m almost horizontal) and hope to find similar easy going and open minded housemates. Looking to rent a place for a minimum of 4-6 months and can extend it if it works out fine. I’m a very sociable person, love going out for food, drinks, movies and would love to find a chilled out place to call home. I also respect everyone’s privacy and will not be constantly pestering you haha. Since I’ll be starting with my Master’s degree, I’ll be pretty busy during the weekdays at Uni but I’m always keen to chill on the weekends. I love watching and playing soccer! (GO Manchester united!) I enjoy scuba diving, longboarding and am now looking into indoor/outdoor rock climbing. Also enthusiastic about patting dogs and watching funny dog compilation videos. I’m an avid music listener! Love rap, hip hop (artists such as Kendrick lamar, Eminem, 2pac, Biggie, The underachievers, Joey badass, J cole etc), classic rock (Pink Floyd, Guns n roses, Aerosmith, The beatles, Jefferson airplane, Creedence Clearwater revival, The rolling stones, Eric Clapton, Queen etc), Electronic (Flume, Nicholas jaar, Odesza, Pretty lights, Eric prydz, Bassnectar etc) and sometimes when I’m feeling classy, I’ll hit up some Wolfgang Mozart (what a ridiculously cool name) or Bach. So if you love music, I’m sure we will get along!! Also, I have a pair of headphones so you don’t have to worry about me blasting loud music. Also down to binge watch movies and tv shows. So, if you think we’d get along and would like to team up or you have a room available in your house, hit me up! I’m currently travelling overseas and will be arriving in Melbourne around the 21st of February. Send me a message if you're interested. Hope to hear from you soon :)
I'm Cat, early 30s, working full time as a Social Media Manager at a media agency. During the week I'm usually at the gym, playing social sport or cooking dinner and chilling with some Netflix. At weekends I enjoy getting out and about, going for a run, out for brunch or having beers/wine with friends. I also like getting out of the city on road trips or camping as much as I can. I'm pretty sociable and easy to get along with and am looking for a place that feels more like a home than a share house.
Hey future housemates, I am a sharehouse fan, I have lived in Melbourne with 2-5 other people for the last 5 years. I like to share a meal together now and then and do my own thing sometimes, whatever really. I work full-time in the city Monday-Friday and spend a fair bit of time on road trips/out of the house on weekends. Hobby-wise I am a coffee obsessive, and will likely have one in my hand when I'm at home! I am a pretty clean person and am happy to keep the house as tidy as everyone feels like. That's about it really, looking forward to meeting you! Tom
Hi there! My name is Gabi, and I am moving from Brisbane to Melbourne this year to study a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne. Looking for a clean, quiet and relatively central share house with like minded people. Looking to move in around the 22nd of Feb and looking to stay long term (1 year plus). Please send me a message if you have a spare room or looking to teamup! :)
Hi guys, I'm in my early 20's, studying a master course in Design School of Melb Uni. People usually call me a nature lover. I love travelling and enjoy doing some easy hikes. Most of the time I am a laid-back person (except when I am overwhelmed by exams and deadlines :P ) I enjoy spending time exploring various cafes in search of the perfect coffee and desserts, cooking with fresh ingredients from the markets, hanging out with friends or planning my next adventure overseas. I lived in the Netherlands for a year as an exchange student. so I have the experience of living with housemates with different cultural background and habits. Mutual respect is the key to everything. I love learning about other cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. I am not just looking for a place and some flatmates to live with, but a place to be called a second home and some really good friends :). Looking for some friendly and tidy people. Looking forward to see my new housemates!
I'm a 3rd year undergraduate student from UBC in Vancouver, Canada who's here on exchange (Melbourne University). Boring stuff: I'm clean, responsible, and always pay my rent on time. Semi-interesting stuff: -I’m out of the house most of the time, but when I am home, I enjoy a good chat with a drink or two -Definitely in Melbourne to have fun but I'm not a crazy partier. Will definitely respect any pre-existing house rules. -Love to travel. Have been to around 20 countries so far! I am looking to move in ASAP and move out by June 23, 2017. I can be flexible with these dates if need be (but only by 1-2 weeks max). I'm available pretty much anytime for a viewing since I just got into Melbourne and don't really have a life (...yet).
Greetings our future flatmate/flatmates. We are two, Lucie (24) and my partner Costas (26). We are a friendly couple, Lucie studies business English in CBD and Costas international business in Melbourne Polytechnic. We have experience in living in a shared flat/house individually and as a couple aswell, therefore we are peacefull, we know how to respect the house rules, how to be clean and quiet when needed. Lucie loves drawing, yoga, nature. Costas loves baking, science and motorcycles. We are as similar as black and white colour but get along as good as pizza with beer. We are responsible as individuals and as a couple, we follow etiquette. We don't look for a party house. Both of us can cook and know how to manage fridge. We both clean after ourselves and know how to maintain clean, especially shared spaces like bathroom and kitchen. There is not much that we would consider a perfect flatmate, we highly appreciate: * Not a frat house but an adult environment * A mature personality * A clean nature * Friendly people (being friends and not just flatmates is just awesome) What we offer * We are clean * We are quiet * We are open people * We are non smokers * If you like what we cook you can join without any problem, * If you want to join a conversation, a game, a movie, anything as long as you are friendly you are welcome. * We come in peace, we negotiate and dialogue and compromise. * Any knowledge we have can be yours we would be happy to tell you all about any skill that we have. * Awesome stories from around the world * Amazing food :D
I am a friendly clean and considerate Kiwi professional who is making the move to Aussie after three years in the UK and US. I am always up for a quiet drink or an adventure out to explore somewhere new! Equally, I do also enjoy my own space to relax after a long week. I am interested in health and fitness, travel, reading, eating out, coffee and having a good laugh or banter.
Hey I am Can, I have been in Melbourne since 1st of February and going to stay in here for approximately 8 months. I am here for studying and improving my English and attending some courses. I am coming with a close friend of mine and her reason for coming to Melbourne is same with mine. We are gonna study at same institute in Lonsdale. So we are looking 2 rooms near to Lonsdale, and we want to live with 3 or more people if it is possible. I love sports, watching movies, hanging out, any kind of sea activity, music and etc.
