Hi! I'm a 20 year old student from Brighton, England here for a exchange semester at Uni of Melbourne from now until end of June, early July! Looking to start subletting before Uni starts (4th of March), preferably Fitzroy, Carlton, Brunswick areas, but am open to other areas as don't know the city well yet, but needs to be easily accessible to the Uni. Ideally looking for somewhere around $200pw/$800pcm Looking for somewhere that's sociable and ideally with people who are open to hanging out in the evenings/weekends! I like to go out to bars, pubs, clubs, as well as just exploring and enjoying the city. Thanks ! Xx
Looking for a private room with like-minded people in a sharehouse towards the end of February and beginning of March. I am flexible on the dates, especially if you have a lovely home with good company! I'm 23 and moving from Newcastle NSW to Melbourne to work and study after some time abroad. I am studying Biological Science and working in retail pharmacy. I'm easy going and tidy, I would love to share some nice family dinners with my housemates (I'm an excellent cook, thank you Italian parents) and occasional drinks. I am happy to keep to myself and/or have a nice chat and share some fun anecdotes. In my spare time I enjoy going to live gigs, rummaging through op shops, yoga, visiting national parks, going for a swim, rollerskating, painting, reading, baking, watching netflix and exploring every nook and cranny of a city. Feel free to send me a message if you think you have a place that would suit me and if you have any questions just ask :) P.S I expect a wine and cheese housemates only party once I move in, nothing to bond like alcohol and being silly. P.S.S Please accept meeeeee
I'm an American heading to Melbourne for grad school. I'm calm, chill, and quiet and looking for similar people to live with. I like to be social, from time to time, but do enjoy my alone time. I am looking for a private, furnished room for a long term stay.
Hi! I’m Anton from Sweden, and I’m on an exchange semester at RMIT University. I’m on my fourth year of my engineering program, currently doing my master in Machine Learning. I’m easy going, neat and clean. I’m very respectful of your privacy, but also open to the occasional meal/drink together if that’s your thing. When I’m not in school I like to explore the city, travel and go to the gym. I enjoy reading about and experiencing architecture and art. I also love a good cup of coffee :)
Hey there! I’m looking for a comfortable and chill share house to call home for the next few years while I save the last of my deposit to buy an apartment. Note: I have a dog which (thanks to the end of a relationship a year ago) I look after ever second month. My number 1 preference is for a place that will accommodate him but i'm realistic about the chances of this happening. If absolutely necessary he can go live forever with his other day. About me: • Favourite things include: doing the quiz and crossword on Saturday mornings, heading to the beach/pool, disco, hosting dinner, reading/watching/listening to all the usual good stuff. • I work for the Vic Government in health policy and projects (currently in medicinal cannabis). • I love gardening and have a sizable indoor plant collection. Would be amazing if I could bring the full collection with me but am prepared to cull if needed. • I have a bicycle, no car.
Originally from Cyprus, I am moving to Melbourne from London for a new adventure to work as a Business Analyst in a technology agency in CBD. I am outgoing and social but also value my own privacy and respect others'. I am clean and tidy and will keep the house in shape. Would love to share with people that would feel like family rather than sharing a physical space. I am a keen reader and will read about anything, particularly on future, sci-fi, science, culture, history, aesthetics etc. Other times I like to discover music from a varied range of genres and geographies but I have a thing for techno and house music and also experiment with production (I use headphones so you won't be disturbed and I barely have time for it). I am also a keen cook and love to experiment and coming up with my own recipes. My specialty is the slow-cooked lamb shoulder and this year I plan to learn how to make better vegan meals. As per recommended by people of medicine I try to lead an active lifestyle whether that be hitting the gym, doing sports or cycling. In Melbourne, I decided I am going to learn either how to sail a boat, ride a motorbike or longboard. I believe it would be fair to say that in general, I try to live a minimalistic life and I try to be sustainable in everything I do, however, I do still eat meat. I am non-religious and believe that a classless highly efficient society that empowers all individuals is possible I guess I am kind of an adventurer in my own way and always look to learn more, discover more and understand life and cultures better. Preferably I would love to live in a diverse house. Previously I have lived in Nicosia, Cyprus, Manchester, Southampton in the UK, Istanbul in Turkey and London respectively and now it's time for Melbourne! Things I have started and never learned properly; Painting, Photography, Muay Thai, Football, Basketball, Guitar, Saxophone, Sculpting, Acting My favorite side of the pillow is the cold side. Keywords: Wine, Beer and Cocktails, Rooftop Bars, Music, Gigs, Tattoos, Cycling, Fitness, Cinemas, Outdoors, Hiking, Travel, Photography, BBQs, If you can resonate with who I am please get in touch and we could be housemates and good friends!
Hi I'm Alex! I am a 25 year old american engineering student who will be getting his masters in Environmental Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2019. My classes start beginning of March so I will be looking for a place starting the beginning of February. Hi, I am Salome, 31 years, from Switzerland where I am working as a lawyer. I came to Melbourne to attend the LLM program at the University of Melbourne. I really like having good food and wine with friends, doing sports or just reading a good book.
Relaxed but sociable English couple on a working holiday visa. We’re tidy and considerate. I’m a management accountant looking to work in the cbd and my girlfriend is a nurse. We enjoy going to the gym and eating out as our main hobbies! We’re looking for a studio apartment with good links into the city for my work. In a nice suburb with plenty of restaurants for us to explore!
My name is Sebastian, I am 28 years old and I’m from Germany. From March 2019 I will be studying at the University of Melbourne for a Master of Laws degree which will take about a year. Therefore I am looking for a private room not too far from the university. I would describe myself as a very neat and considerate roommate and I respect the privacy of my roommates. I really enjoy cooking, I like to go out and have a drink and I’m really into sports (like going to the gym, biking and surfing). I’m always up for all kinds of activities. I’m a non-smoker.
Hi - I'm Ollie, a 29 year old originally from the UK. I'm a film editor working full time and have been living here for 5 years now. Enjoy all the good things Melbourne has to offer and love meeting new people and have lived in share houses for the last 10 years so quite used to being mindful and respectful of those around me
Hi there! I'm an international student at the University of Melbourne, doing MSs of Construction Management in my second year. I'm Armenian raised in Russia. Have lots of cultural backgrounds to share! Passionate about languages, now speaking English, Armenian, Russian and currently learning Chinese and Spanish. My life goal is to speak 10 different ones. I consider myself as a mature and hard-working person. Always clean up everything after myself and respect others. I believe that my freeness ends where other persons begin. I am easy going and positive, with high life standards. Sometimes need time for myself though (kinda introvertish). I love European and Asian cuisines, exceptionally crazy about Italian. (no smelly nor messy cooking) Oh, btw, I have an awesome red motorbike, so grab a helmet and hop on for a windy ride! I will also need off-street parking for it (usually it's free for motorbikes) If you've read till this point and think that we share common values and interests, I would be happy to share a living space with you! Feel free to drop a message!
*WILL BE IN MELBOURNE BY 11TH OF FEBRUARY* My name is Michael from Indonesia, taking Master of Law at Melbourne University upcoming March I am tidy, clean and a pretty easy going person who enjoys being active. I am open to meet many friends, exchange cultures and ideas but also respect flatmates' privacy Live music, foods, having a cup of coffee and having a conversation or do some cafe hopping would be great for me Although I enjoy socializing, I like having a homely space to be a tidy and peaceful place and I'm very respectful towards others and their belongings and understand the need for personal space. Looking forward to a mate/s who's willing to share the same interest. Having a friend from the same university and the same major would be a plus point Looking for a chilled and friendly vibe. Comfortable living space for everyone is important. I am not a smoker, not an alcoholic as well
I teach Yoga and creative workshops and work for a not for Profit. My hours vary and I teach yoga most evenings although my day job will be changing in 2019 so I expect to be working more 9-5 and dropping yoga down to just one evening and one weekend day per week. I also teach creative workshops 1-2 times a month. I try to stay healthy, love yoga and meditation and music - I try to get out to live music when I can. I'm a bit of a home body when I'm working and enjoy being social when I have free days. I love food and consider myself a good cook (mostly vegetarian with occasional seafood), enjoy the occasional wine and a good film or Netflix series, but am not into TV and don't own one. I'm into clean living, reducing my footprint (recycling, reusing reducing waste etc) and minimal plastic. I'm looking to share with 1-3 others and to make a home rather than a hostel / party house vibe - where we can have a chat, hang out when we want but also live our independent lives. Home to me is a sanctuary so its important to get along with my house mates, and have a nice chill vibe. With regards to food I'm easy, don't mind sharing food, also happy to buy my own, I have a fridge, washing machine and lots of house plants and some furniture which I can bring or store. I also have Meikel, an awesome friendly cat that can sit and high five. She's an indoor/outdoor cat and comes and goes as she pleases, although if someone's home she'll usually hang in the same room as you as she likes being social (she's like a dog in that sense - she's a dog-cat). She doesn't have a litter tray as she's house trained and goes outside in nature, but moving into a new place I'd keep her indoors with a litter tray for the first week so she gets used to the place.
I'm mid-twenties and have a degree in marketing. After working fulltime for a while I am going back to study Fine Arts. I like a chill and relaxing home to come back to as I am very busy during the week. Looking for housemates who are always up for a chat and a bit of fun, but keep it low key during the week. Not interested in a party house! I am very active and when I am not studying or working I'll be at the gym, outside, hiking, reading or have a good old Netflix Binge.
I'll spend one year at The University of Melbourne doing part of my PhD research. For this reason, I'm looking for a place close to the university. I come from Brazil and I'm a calm guy, very tidy and respectful mate. I hope to find a comfortable place with good mates.
My name is Mary and I’m a 26 year old Irish girl who has just moved back to the city!I work as a primary teacher. I’m sociable and adventurous & also love chilled out nights having good hearty discussions with a glass of vino in hand!I’m free spirited & easy going. I’ve shared a house in Ireland for the past seven years so I’m very much up to speed on housemate etiquette! I also have the funds to move in straight away, no problem. I’d be so grateful if you gave me a chance of viewing your place to see if I might fit in well with the house dynamic🤗 would love to hear from you! Thanks, Mary😊
I'm student and will be studying in Melbourne University from Feb 25th 2019. I'm looking for flatshare who are open minded, friendly and looking to make friends. I'm from India and I'm non-smoker, occasional drinks with good friends company :)
I'm an exchange student here for four months doing environmental studies at Uni.Melb. Looking for a place to call home, while I am here. I love a home that embraces communal living as well as giving me a space for solitude and recharging. My interests revolve around making plants grow, leisure reading and going out for the occasional boogie. Excited to here from you! Best, Flo
Hey! I’m going to be moving from Perth to Melbourne in February to do my Masters at the University of Melbourne. I’m very friendly, respectful and considerate of others. Lover of good wine, good food and, of course, travel! 😊 Looking for a comfortable private room , ideally to share the house/flat with 1-2 other people. I value having tidy communal spaces so I am looking to share with someone who is the same. Would really like to find somewhere where I am made to feel at home and not feel like I need to lock myself away in my bedroom all the time. As I’ll be studying, I’m looking for something that won’t be a “party house” on the reg! Any questions, just ask 👍
Hi! My name is Carolina and I'm 27 years old. I'm from Chile and just have arrived at Melb to start a Master in Unimelb. I'm looking for a private furnished room in a share house, apartment, or another kind of property, near Unimelb or with easy access to public transportation. Long term. About me: I love watching movies, listening to music (with my headphones on haha), going out for a walk or doing some cooking or bakery. Also, I love nature and animals. I've lived alone for a few years, so I know what maintaining a place is like. Also lived with other housemates, boys and girls. I consider myself very respectful with other's space, responsible, tidy and friendly. Very easy going, love sharing a beer, movie or just a nice chat on my free time.
Hewwo. I'm Eliza, 20 year old worker (tuesday-friday, afternoon til 10~), looking to join the rent in a friendly share-house with likeminded people. I work on Sydney Road, Brunswick, so I am trying to find a place easily accessible by public transport. I am from Melbourne but have ~sadly~ lived in QLD for the past few years, so I'm somewhat a newbie. Looking for a place to stay long-term, in a private room. Happy to live amongst pets, and happy to have visitors around sometimes, non-smoker but don't mind if you do. Prefer to live with other workers or students in their 20's. I'm clean and tidy, respectful of other people's privacy and belongings, ambivert, not going to lock myself in my room 24/7 but I will definitely do that sometimes. Happy to help with some furnishing but I do not have any furniture at the moment other than my king single mattress. Don't need a huge room just something big enough for my computer desk, bed a wardrobe. Definitely going to need stable internet. I'm pretty lame so my hobbies are just gaming, music, film/tv, used to go to the gym back in QLD and want to get back into that or a sport once I've settled down. You'll find me at beta bar on Fridays. Also happy to do a team up and start a new place but please keep my location and budget in mind before you message me! LGBTQIA+ friendly, 420 friendly, very chill, pls respond.
