Helloo potential future housemate! I’m a PhD student at UQ born and raised in Sydney, but been loving Brissy these past 5 years! I've had many years of living in sharehouses with others so I am respectful of space but also would love housemates I can have a good laugh with! I like to stay busy and am not a homebody, so I'm always down to catch a movie, find new places to eat, have a drink, hit the beach or go for trips on weekends. I love exploring, outdoors, exercising, eating, events, getting out and about and meeting new people and trying new things. I like being social but I also like my own space sometimes, I'd say I'm more extroverted than introverted maybe? I also work casual as a uni tutor and gymnastics coach, but mostly work full time hours at UQ with my PhD. I don't smoke, I'm clean, and I'm not an early bird but trying to be. I’m hoping to get a sharehouse started ASAP with my current housemate Louise, I'd ideally like to live in a house of 2-4ppl, and preferably students or young professionals around the same age. Im hoping to make it a very close knit sharehouse where sometimes we’ll cook together or do weekend activities! I'm looking for a lease period of 6 months to a year or more. Hi, my name’s Tayla and I’ve been living in Brisbane for about two years now after moving from Cairns to begin studying a dual degree of marine biology/mathematics at UQ. I’ve been working full-time for the past four years before moving and am now working part-time during the uni term and full time in the off season. I am looking for a room for at least 12 months in a 2-3 bed dwelling, and would prefer to share with other like-minded, clean and tidy students or working professionals (women only). I am also looking for places either close to the city or close the the UQ St Lucia campus (or both!) I have built up a good rental history in the last five years since I first moved out of home in 2019. My current lease ends mid-June, so ideally I am looking for a place available no earlier than the beginning of June. I’m open to 6-12 month stay times. In my free time I enjoy walking in nature, going to the markets, snorkelling, catching up with friends, and exploring new places. I’d like a roommate/s who’d be down for a glass of wine and a chat but can also respect personal space. Would prefer not a party house as I’m not much of a party animal myself, but the odd party here and there is definitely not a bother ☺️
