Hi! I've been in the UK since February but I'll be back in Melbourne in July to do my final semester of uni! I'm based at Monash Berwick campus and just want to find a decent place to live for that last half-year, on the Pakenham line for easy commute. I'm easygoing and I've done the house-share thing before, so I know it suits me fine. I'm OK with living in a quiet household where everyone keeps to themselves right through to a party house where we're all besties. I love my netflix and fantasy/sci-fi/comic book stuff but I have been known to adapt to watching the Bachelor and dancing to 1D, so I can probably get on with anyone I live with given the chance. My standout personality trait is probably my love of food.
I work fulltime, am quiet, mostly a homebody during the week and barely home on weekends. I have an indoor cat, short hair female, spayed, immunised.. ( the works (cared for better than i care for myself!) I enjoy cooking, listening to music, Netflix (who doesnt) and having a chat.
I'm an easy going tradie who works full time . Have just moved down from Perth and looking for a place to stay while I save for my own house . I'm laid back and an easy going individual who gets along with everyone and doesn't mind to have abit of fun ..
I recently had to leave my previous place of accommodation in Pakenham due to a cut in the hours at work. Despite not missing any payments, my housemates screwed me over and kicked me out. I have since obtained some more hours, gotten some financial assistance while also continuing to look for additional/new work moving forward. I have been staying with a friend for the last few weeks which has also helped financially, but have since had to leave there leaving me without a home to stay. As a result I am in urgent need of finding medium/long term accommodation. I would prefer to avoid short/term or temporary as I really do require some stability. I work in the IT industry with stable employment (technology is very much a passion of mine). I'm certainly not the party type, and don't smoke or drink so there would be no issues there. As stated, I am happy with medium-term or long-term accommodation. If it's medium-term, I am morr flexible with what I am looking for than if I was planning to settle in somewhere long-term. I do not drive, so somewhere close to public transport is essential. A nearby train station is ideal but a nearby bus is suitable too. Bonus points if you have a cat :) (I don't have any of my own). My preference is for somewhere along the Pakenham-Dandenong or Cranbourne-Dandenong train line but open to other areas, especially if it's only medium-term. I was previously interested in the Pakenham-Traralgon area as well but unfortunately the regional V/Line fares are a LOT more expensive than I was expecting which removed those options from the table. My budget for long-term accommodation is around $200/week but will be less for medium-term accommodation as I will still need to pay for storage of my belongings elsewhere. To settle into something long-term I would need to be able to get my things out of storage. Happy to further discuss what I am seeking regarding long-term accomodation, but space would be high on my list. Sharing of meals would also be ideal. I do suffer from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), but am coping well. But you are a judgemental person or have issues with people who have their own struggles in life, then you are not the right house for me. If you can look past that, you will find I am a genuinely nice person who likes helping others and regularly goes out of my way for others, but unfortunately I have certainly not received anywhere near the same back in return. In fact many of the people I have helped out have returned the favour by simply screwing me over which is beyond disappointing. My last housemates were no exception to this. I'm quite an open and friendly person and I have nothing to hide so feel free to get in contact and say hi or ask any questions you may have. You are best to reach me through Gumtree messaging or via Facebook if you prefer. Unless I'm at work I'm usually contactable :). Alternatively if you know of any job opportunities in the IT/AV industries, or even know of anyone requiring any casual or home/small business IT/AV work, please also let me know :). Also, it's a shame I have to even say this but it seems I do. If I contact you regarding a room you have available, and it turns out I'm not what you're looking for for any reason, that's fine and no hard feelings but please don't just read my message without taking the time to let me know. I have lost a lot of time waiting for people to respond who never did, or who have just stop responding out of the blue. Not only is this quite rude and uncalled for but it's also really not helpful to me in my situation. Shaun

[[Photos are from recent sale listing]] This three bedroom house is located in Dandenong West, around the corner from a basic strip of shops, and a 15-20 minute walk to the main street. Its about a 10 minute walk to Dandy station. The house itself is in a small court, right in the corner, that doesn't get a lot of through traffic. We have a large, fenced backyard, with plenty of room to move, and access to a large garage. The room itself is cozy, with an inbuilt wall-length wardrobe and vanity top, and a bedside table provided. Other than that, it is unfurnished. The room comes with access to a small living area adjoining the kitchen, which you would be free to do with what you want and if you want. It has a couch for use, and a rug. We recently had a split system installed by the landlord that is in the main lounge room, which is where we live most of the time when at home. It's an old house, but is comfy, and works for what it needs to be. There is a large kitchen that would be shared use (we don't mind sharing an odd meal here or there, but not on a regular basis), as well as the bathroom, which has a bath/shower combo. Internet is included in the rent cost, and is high speed ADSL. Bills (water, electricity and gas) would be split three ways, depending on use. There is a third small, spare room, which is primarily used for storage and hobbies. Non-smoking is preferable, but if you're willing to go outside to smoke, that's cool too. We have a zero tolerance for anything harder. We are open to the idea of pets, but on a quiet/non-fuss level. If it can sit quietly and behave, and not chew on the furniture or pee on the floor, its probably fine. Again, if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Hello! I am a Canadian teacher moving to Melbourne in September to work. I will be relief teaching in September through November, so I am looking to live somewhere near public transportation that can get me to many schools. I don't know the city very well so I am open to live just about anywhere, as long as public transportation is an easy option. I'm looking for short term housing until I get to know the city a bit better and figure things out. I am easy to get along with, clean, and respectful. I love to hang out and chat but also enjoy time to myself as well. I enjoy doing anything in the outdoors, especially hiking, yoga, cooking, and staying active. I love music and watching TV. I also love dogs! I would love to live with someone who shares some of my interests and maybe someone who is willing to help me learn about life in Melbourne.
