Hi future flat mates! My name is Naomi and I am moving to Tasmania to work as a Dietitian. I am looking for a room in a shared house that has a back yard for me and my beautiful border collie called Indi. Indi is 5 years old, well behaved and loves people. He is no hassle and would be a great addition to any household. When I'm not working, you can find me running Indi, reading or watching Netflix, whipping up a storm in the kitchen (I make great chocolate brownies) and exploring. I am easy going, clean and respectful of those I live with. I am not a party animal but am always up for sharing a glass of wine or cup of tea at home. I am looking to move by the 1st of March, but could be earlier if the right place arises.
I’m transitioning from 28 years in the technical field to the field of teaching English as a second language (ESL). At the moment I am completing a diploma in ESL through an online course. I was Iooking forward to staying in Hobart, but the smoke from the fires is too thick to stay. I am now looking in the north of the state for a room from 10 February to 26 April. I am clean, quiet, honest, fit, reliable and health-minded. My references include: 8 Victorian housesitting referrals; a job reference from the Department of Justice, Victoria; a recent National Police Certificate and a Victorian Working With Children Check card. I am a trained Montessori teacher; Neuro-linguistic Programming practitioner; and Mediation (conflict resolution) practitioner, and I hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work. I am an outgoing, responsible and tidy person. I have experiences living in a shared house and respect my housemates privacy. I enjoy walking, writing, swimming and discovering Tasmania.
Available from mid February. Choice of furnished or unfurnished. Off street parking available, garaged parking negotiable. NBN connected. Good home gym available if that's your thing. Large backyard to run around in, grow some vegs or for well behaved pet. Must be OK with living with our well behaved puppy Mr Whiskers. We also have two large chickens called Xena and Zelda who provide us with plenty of fresh eggs to share. No wizards allowed!
Burnie. Great location, light airy home with fab view. 1941 home so not all the mod cons but people say they feel at home here....relaxed and comfortable. Room is private in rear of house, fully furnished, excellent bed. Back garden, is private with Bush setting behind. Off street parking but very easy walk to town, bus stop just down road. I have a great dog ... this place is only suitable to animal lovers... (my current housemate is fretting about leaving him)....he is clean..(swims most days) well behaved, trained not to go into the guest room, loves people and everyone loves him.
Hi! I'm a clean and tidy 24 year old looking for a place to stay in Tassie. I'm moving to Launceston to continue my studies in the marine industry. I have a well trained, people person cat named Noonoo. I love card games, reading and nature.
I am moving out of home in Hobart to study a Bachelor of Nursing in Launceston. I am neat, reliable and friendly - but not loud. Mum says she would give me a reference :) I hope to get a casual job when I move up in a few weeks time as I've had a casual job in Hobart for the last 2 1/2 years. My interests include soccer (I've played in a team since 2006), keeping fit (I go to the gym three to four times a week) socialising with friends and online gaming.
I am a calm and friendly person who respect other people's privacy. I currently live in Melbourne and will be moving to Launceston to study, I am looking for a room ( preferably furnished or partly furnished) and a maximum of 30mins walking distance to the TasTafe campus on wellington street or 20mins to CBD
Looking for someone to split rent within an area close to the Newnham University. I am respectful, neat and have experience living with multiple people. I dabble in art and am studying a STEM major at Newnham Utas. Due to my major, I will be moving to Hobart in 2020 and will be looking to move out after the second semesters end this year.
We are a quiet couple with 2 small amd friendly dogs. Jasmine is at UTAS and Josh has a cert III in IT, about to commence his bachelors in IT. We rarely have people over or leave/come back particularly late or early. We mostly keep to ourselves but also love a chat. We're looking to share with a dog lover as ours are very sociable. Josh is a wheelchair user and would need an entrance that could be ramped (we can install ramps ourselves) and a relatively flat shower (no showers over baths or raised showers). Our dogs need a secure backyard, but we could put in small sections of fence if need be. We'd need a queen sized bedroom with eiter built ins or room to put a wardrobe. Josh has a small business and would also require space for his equipment and IT items. We know this is a lot to ask but if anyone can help we'd be very happy!
21, Originally from NZ but have lived in Aus for the last 7 years. I’ve been living in Launceston on and off for 4 years for uni. I usually study during the day but I like to make time for the gym and chilling with mates so I’m often not home though I would like living with someone who’s happy to hang out. Always keen for a chat and love to experiment on the stove though I am mindful and happy to keep the place clean. I work two jobs, both based in Hobart on weekends so I’ll mostly only be around on weekdays. Ideal housemate would be someone who loves a laugh and is pretty easy going.
I'm a nursing student at Utas and am looking for accommodation for this year. I'm looking for a place to share with other flatmates so the cost is lower. I'm from Hobart, I am very tidy and happy to help with any gardening or cleaning. I'll hopefully be working as well as my studies.
Hola. I am Bhavin and I will be commencing my 2nd semester in UTAS. I have lived in houseshare before, so I am familiar with household chores. My mild OCD ensures that everything around me is neat and tidy. I can cook Indian cuisine (try to) so my roommates will be treated with tasty food. I am a vegetarian. Usually, I will be out in the evening playing soccer or going to trivia nights. During my free time, I like to explore Tassie. I am quite friendly but will respect others privacy. Can't wait to meet new people.

Hello! Are you coming to Launceston for AMC/Uni student study second semester study in 2019, when we might be the home you are looking for during your studies. For students, the room rates are $150/week (I have two different homes, only one is featured here) and have different inclusions and as a student, there is no room sharing unless you are a couple. Contact me for couple rates. The home featured and pictured here is fondly called VB and it has been home to students from around the world for over 10 years...so you will be joining a family that spans the globe! Both homes have had similar history and have a wall of fame to join. When you see our VB kitchen wall.....you will see the variety of people who have shared this home with you - get your pic up on our wall and make history with us. We also share family dinners with our other share home family...so you will be part of a new network when you walk through our door. The home is two story, has a wonderful balcony overlooking a pretty garden, full of roses during summer, and looks out to the Tamar river, with the fabulous setting sun on a warm day. Each room in VB has in-room heating, all linen and bedding supplied - if you need it - with everything you would need for your study time here in Launceston and a fully equipped kitchen. What's included in both homes, if you are a student? Study desk/lamp/chair, and rooms have double or queen beds other than our fondly-called Sunroom. AND we are just under 2km from the AMC/Uni...people staying here have walked, ridden bikes or used their cars/caught the bus. There is a large wifi internet down-load you share with your housemates, and all the water and SOME of the power is included in your weekly rent. For VB, because your landlord lives-in, you get to have someone who keeps your toilet/bathroom clean and the common areas clean too...now that is fairly amazing ;). Clothes and dish detergent and toile paper is also included. Most of the students who have stayed here have been PhD students, ocean or marine engineers, valuing the quiet space and ability to focus on getting their studies done vs dealing with share house politics which can happen in some homes. So, if you like space to enjoy your down time reading a book in the sun or watching a movie, AND a quiet environment to study, this is probably a great place for you. The home is a home for you while you are away from your own, with a great lounge that also overlooks the river and the sunny garden, with a large TV for times when you are over study and want to veg out. Fruit picking in the Launceston area during our summers? If you are planning ahead and looking for somewhere to stay during your November 2019 Working Holiday Visa work at local berry and fruit farms, we may be the home you are looking for. Remember, this is for the end of 2019. We are currently ONLY booking students/young professionals for the study year. For the end of the 2019 year, get in touch and let's discuss what your $115/week shared room rent includes and how we have our summer share homes work. My other home is also a great space and somewhat larger - and there are rooms still available there too, for 2018 uni/AMC year. If we sound like the sort of place you would like to share with us, call us or drop Suz a line and we can see if we both have a fit. We can't wait to hear from you!
We have a clean three-bedroom fully furnished house with all appliances and a brand new heat pump. 1-minute walk to the bus stop. 10 minutes walk to The University of Tasmania, 15-20 minutes walk to Coles & Woolworth's. The room has a queen bed, a built-in wardrobe, a big study table and a chair. the rent for this room is 155 dollars per week including all bills and excluding internet. You will be paying the rent every fortnightly in advance. The bond (Security deposit) is two weeks rent. The room is en-suite. About us: We are PhD students at UTas/AMC. We are Sociable and sometimes, we go out for dinner or drinks. I play Futsal and sometimes work out. Cheers, Hosein
