Hey! I'm moving to Canberra from Brisbane for work as a consultant. I'm an always doing something kinda guy, so I really dig going out to the mountains or parks, checking out the city I live in and am really sociable. I don't smoke and I'm not the kind of person to get smashed on drinks every night of the week. I more just chill drink with mates every now and then. I'm a really clean-oriented person so I'd like housemates that are happy to help keep the common areas neat.
Hello, I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney for a work contract. I have previously shared accomodation in Sydney and overseas. I'm looking to move in or share with someone respectful and peaceful by nature. You can find me on instagram below. I would like to move in by 30th of September. I am looking for a place around or nearby Barton ACT 2600. Please call or text me if you think we're a fit or have any availability.
I am moving to CanberraMid-October to start a new position in the public service. I am friendly, tidy and love a good chat over a glass of wine at the end of the day. I am currently studying externally, so will often be required to lock myself in my room and study.
Hey there, my name is Rach and I live in Adelaide but I'm moving to Canberra in 2019 to work as a graduate in the APS. I'm looking for flatmates who are easy going, friendly, and enjoy a wine or two. I'm looking for flatmates who want to be friends, and spend the odd day or night together watching netflix/going for walks/watching the footy or having a BBQ. That being said, I'm also respectful of time to ourselves, and will need a bit of this to catch up on work and study, and go home to Adelaide every now and then. What can I bring to the table? Nice wine glasses, cheese knives and platters, coffee cups, and decent cooking skills. What can you bring? Hopefully a table! I'm good to keep things clean and tidy, pull my weight and pay my bills on time. In my spare time I like to be social, play with my dog Charlie (unfortunately he's not coming with me), scout out good coffee and good wineries. Coming from South Australia, I'm into things like supporting small wineries, local producers and farmers markets. It also means I'm used to being able to get anywhere in 20 minutes, so I'm looking for places in areas close to my work in Barton. If you think we'd get along, and you've got a room free around January/February 2019, please get in touch!
I am a positive person, clean, polite and respectful. I will be working full time as a researcher at Canberra hospital from end of September. I like to be outdoors (yes, even in the cold!), I like to cook, enjoy an occasional glass (or three) of wine, and get a bit crafty in my spare time (mostly knitting/sewing). I was born and raised in Canberra, though escaped to QLD for a few years! I am heading back for a great work opportunity and because my partner of 8 years is living and studying at ANU. I will likely visit him regularly, and not be at home every night.
Moving from Melbourne for a grad role in the APS. I'm a clean and considerate person and enjoy socialising and making new friends - I would love to have roommate/s who are keen to chill, chat, cook and have a cheeky wine together. I'm flexible regarding the length of the lease - anywhere up to12 months. Ideally would love to live in walking distance from work (Barton). Looking to move in end of September / 1 October Would prefer to live with women at this stage.
Fun loving girl from Wellington, New Zealand currently living in Toowoomba moving to Canberra for a job at Canberra Hospital and would prefer somewhere close or a short commute. Looking forward to making Canberra home and trying to find the perfect place to settle in. Going to be moving for the long term and already have a full time job secured. Would prefer a room to be furnished, for the short term at least if possible :) I will be moving to Canberra around the 26/27th September. I love being active, having fun, exploring, travelling, cooking and have lived in lots of sharehouses before for the past few years. I enjoy having a good time but also respectful during the week, as I have a full on job. Look forward to hearing from you :)
Hi, I'm Ellie! I'll be moving to Canberra from Melbourne for a full time public service job at Brindabella Business Park, and am looking to live in a sharehouse in the surrounding suburbs. I'm looking to move around late October. In my spare time I enjoy cycling, catching up with friends for brunch, reading and getting out and exploring nature! I have a partner who may visit a few times a week (happy to either keep to ourselves or socialise!). I'm flexible with my stay - any period of time up to a year :)
I’m an honest, reliable, clean and tidy professional. Pretty relaxed but do prefer a clean home and to share with others who like the common shared spaces to be kept tidy. I’m friendly and quite happy to share a meal or a glass of wine and have a chat on occasion but I do like my own space. I’ve shared with 2 girls in their early 20s the past 2 years; it’s been fun to hang out and it’s worked because we respect each other’s privacy and individuality. I am open to sharing with people of any age if they are mature, respectful, trust-worthy, self-aware with a positive, can do, friendly attitude. Art, hiking, cycling, Pilates, Netflix, great food, coffee and wine, board games, authenticity and honesty are all up there as things I enjoy and value. Despite this site requiring preferred suburbs to be listed I’m open to considering anywhere in ACT. ** I’m flexible with length of time to house share - between 3-7 months starting mid October (I’ll be housesitting from May 2019)
I have just moved from Sydney to Canberra, working at Thales. I am fit, very clean, into hygiene and ALWAYS clean up afterward. I am into cycling and fitness training. I keep myself busy between work and training, but love to have a few drink or diner with flatmate(s). I have moved to Canberra since May and looking for another ideally fully/semi furnished room initially for a 3x months stay but likely extending. The location of the property must have bus stop or cycling path to get to 70 Kent Street, Deakin. As well as waling distance to Woolworth / Coles / IGA, and restaurants is a plus.
Hi, I’m a 24 year old Uni student working in out of school hours care and I’m looking for a room/place for the next 6 months at least (maybe longer). I've been house sharing for 5 years with both males and females so I understand personal space, I’m clean and considerate. I'm also easily persuaded to share a few bevy’s and hang out some nights. I also make a dam fine cup of tea. I’m usually out of the house during the day, either at work or Uni, and I spend some nights at friend’s houses or training. I enjoy going out for brunch with friends, playing AFL, travelling to the South Coast on weekends, procrastinating with Netflix, and on occasion, visiting fine establishments commonly known as pubs. I'm very easy going and friendly, big fan of doggos so if you already have one, I will very happily consider it an extra roommate :D I’m looking for roommates that are chill, respectable and who like to share a home-cooked meal accompanied by a beer/cider every now and again. Feel free to send me a message with any questions ☺
I’m about to be transferred to Canberra and will be working full time. With this being my new home, I’m going to explore try to be out on the weekend exploring all what this city has to offer. Non smoker and have no pets. I’m fairly easy going, non confrontational, and not too loud. Responsible and reliable with rent. I am respectful of my flatmate’s possessions and space. I try to keep fit with cycling and a bit of running. I am clean and tidy, and happy to share the household chores.
G'day, I'm James! I'm originally from Adelaide, but moved to Canberra mid last year. I work full-time as an engineer, but I also study part time as a postgrad at the ANU. I'm pretty sociable and will happily have a chat or a couple drinks after work if thats your speed; otherwise I more than willing to give you your space and keep a low footprint at home. Between work, gym, uni and my partner I keep pretty busy so I like to keep my space at home tidy and try not to be a burden on anyone else. Feel free to get in contact and have a chat, I'm pretty easy going.
Living in Canberra working full time in Manuka I'm looking for flatmates to share in a nice, friendly house that respect privacy but are also willing to socialise, I am very easy going, clean and am used to living with others. Message me if you're interested!
I'm an international student coming to ANU for my post-graduation. I'm a punctual, clean and well organised person. I respect others privacy. Also I'm a vegetarian and I don't drink or smoke. That's pretty much about me.
20yr old apprentice electrician. Quiet through the week, enjoy going to the gym or just relaxing after work. Enjoy spending weekends with friends mostly or travelling home to see family on the odd occasion.
I am easy going and love a good chat but also very independent. Originally from Fremantle, I moved to Canberra for a job in 2017. I like baking, sewing, hitting up the Fyshwick Salvos, coffee, wine, laughter and of course Netflix.
Hi! Firstly, I'm sorry for the terrible photo - apparently, I don't have any pictures of myself after 2015. I don't have any social media either (excluding an Instagram that I never use), so I'm a bit useless in that respect but please let me know if you would like more information from me! I'm a pretty quiet person - I like to keep busy and have a nice space to relax in, but I'm also friendly and easy to approach. I work full-time as a paralegal in Manuka and I am working towards my admission as a lawyer next year. I have a busy schedule so I appreciate the importance of respecting everyone's space and keeping the house harmonious. I enjoy cleaning (I know, I know - but it's true!) so I'm handy for keeping a space tidy. I love movies and dogs and enjoy going for walks. And I love sleep! I have some house plants that I love dearly and two bits of furniture (my bed and a small desk) but not much else. I'm looking to make a quick move as my current lease is up, so I'm pretty flexible on the descriptors in my listing (including my rent limit). Please feel free to contact me irrespective of what I have listed if you think I might be a good fit for your place!
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing for almost 3 years now, so I definitely know the drill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka, normally Monday - Thursday & Tuesday - Friday. I’m looking for a second job for nights and weekends as I’ve recently just left my bar job. So normally I’m pretty busy working 7 day weeks. If I’m not working I go to my parents house in bredbo NSW, (45mins from Canberra, which is where I’m from). For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I do keep to myself quite a bit when it comes to share houses, just because I’m normally so tired from long hours. So you’ll normally find that I like to be in my room chilling out watching Netflix. I guess what I’m really looking for in a home is just a clean environment to be honest. Xo Lauren
i keep to myself for the most part, but i also love getting to know new people, and having a drink (or more) ! whether you prefer a quieter place, or something more social, i promise i can be either! i'm very outgoing , but studious. so long as i have internet, i'm a happy gal!
Hi I am looking for a place to live, would love to live with someone easy going, clean and respectful. A little bit about me, I love to keep fit, while socialising when I get the chance. I work a lot, but when I'm home I love to drink red wine, Netflix binge and relax.
Hi! I'm Cristina, I'm a 24 Spanish recent graduate in International Relations and I’m looking for a place to stay in Canberra from late September early October. I will be doing a full-time traineeship at the European Union delegation to Australia for 6 months and will love to get the opportunity to share a flat with students/young professionals in Canberra. I’m an easy going person and I like to interact with people from other nationalities, I’m also pretty used to it as I have a room rented to international students in Madrid and I shared apartments before in Istanbul and Beijing, where I did my undergraduate exchanges. I love travelling, having good food, relaxing and reading, watching movies and sharing stories. I also enjoy having a glass of wine with my flatmates although I respect their privacy and space.
Hi Everyone I'm San, from London and been living in Sydney for a few years. I work as a designer and I'm moving to Canberra to work on a Government Contract. I'm looking for a home which is friendly, very clean and tidy and has good access to public transport. In my spare time, I like doing yoga, gym and some cooking. I'm looking forward to checking out the museums and parks in Canberra! I can be a bit flex with the dates but I'm looking for a room for approx 3 months from mid Sept - mid Dec Look forward to meeting you soon!

Hi :) I am a young professional and part time Architecture student. I’m pretty busy during the week and on weekends I like to play squash and hang out with my cat (18 months old and desexed) I like to keep to myself but I do socialise occasionally :) I currently stay in a studio apartment that I have furnished myself but I am looking for some extra space and it would cool be to have the occasional meal with a housemate. As for my move date, I currently have accomodation so I’m not too fussed about timing.
HI, I'm Krystel and currently looking at finding a room for the next 3 to 6 months starting end of September. I'm originally from France but have been living in Australia for the past 7 years so it's pretty much home. I am moving from Sydney to Canberra for work, and was hoping to eventually get my own place, but it'll be easier to get a room to start off with. I'm super easy going, very tidy, a vegan but I don't care what you eat (no joke! I'm not one of the crazy vegans), and don't intend on bringing the part home. I usually keep to myself but happy to hang out and have a chat every now and again. I am very busy outside of work, so don't spend much time at home so you'd barely ever see me yet I would pay rent! Win Win! I'm also looking for a place for 6-9 months as I'll then be trying to get my own place. Any questions, please ask :)
Hi! I'm Nadine, a 24 year old architect looking for a friendly, social home in the inner north/south :) I'm looking for a place that I can call home, with people who are up for hanging out (wine, netflix, food!) but also respectful of each others personal space and down time. I'm friendly, easy going, and tidy. I'm a bit of a home body, and love tea, brunch and baking. In my other spare time, I like to explore Canberra and the greater region - hiking, attending Canberra's many events and markets, craft, pottery.. I'm looking for a friendly, happy household with housemates who are up for a chat / to hang out occasionally.
Hiii, I'm Nadja from The Netherlands. I'm moving from the Netherlands to Canberra, because I got a job. I enjoy to have dinner and a drink with a roommate occasionally. I like to go to the gym and to be outside.
I have just moved to Canberra for work and am looking for a nice little place to call home. I'd consider myself to be mature, considerate of others and easy going. I'm very friendly and like to be sociable with the person/ people I live with, but I'm also respectful of other people's privacy and space. I like to go to yoga after work or maybe out to dinner, and enjoy a balance of quiet nights in as I also like time to myself. I'm just finishing up a double masters, so most nights if I'm not having a break from my uni work.... I'm doing assignments. I like to keep my living space fairly neat and tidy and don't have much stuff of my own at the moment. But as I'm about to commence full time work I'd be happy to contribute to the needs of the house.
I'm back in Canberra (studied and worked here previously) after several years overseas. Got lots of good travel stories. Aiming to cycle to work at Black Mountain most days, like to be active, and usually out and about on weekends. Environmentally conscious, like my own space but also social and ready to have a chat. Ideal place would have (in decreasing order of importance): awesome housemate, carpet, sunshine, views, gas cooking. Love cats so that would be an amazing bonus!

My housemate is moving out so I'm looking for someone to replace her! The flat: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. It has a nice kitchen/living/dining area, and a ginormous balcony!! There is parking underneath the complex. Your room: Decent size, can fit a bed size of your choice, built in wardrobe. It will be unfurnished. Your bathroom: Pretty standard bathroom, but it does contain the laundry. The location: Perfect inner south location. The flat is a 5-10 minute walk away from both Kingston and Manuka shops, and around a 15 minute walk away from Kingston Foreshore. Public transport: Bus stops are just around the corner! Both the 6 (green rapid) and the 4 come past, so they're reasonably frequent and quick. More bus routes are available on Wentworth Avenue, about a 15 minute walk away. I am a quiet person. I don't go out much or have many people over. I am a non smoker. I am a very relaxed person. I have no pets but I am a pet lover. I am out of the house around 9-6 weekdays. Usually away every second weekend seeing family. I am pretty tidy. I don't leave dishes around the place or random bits and bobs. Would like to find a roommate who is clean but not ocd clean. Looking for a room to rent or another flatmate similar to find something together. Ideally looking for one other roommate to rent a full property.
Hey hey, Looking for a short term stay preferably 6 months. I’m a full teacher. I usually get home by 6 or 7 most days, yes I’m a hard working teacher. I do have a bit of furniture so if you have room for a bit more, that would be awesome. I know the dos and donts of living with other people. Awesome to socialise with (that’s what my friends say). And of course I know how to give space as well and would like mine from time to time.
