Hi there! I'm moving down to Canberra for a 12 month government IT contract, starting November 12. When I lived in Canberra previously, I tended to spend a fair bit of my time mountain biking and motorcycling. These days however I'm more into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and keen to snowboard over winter.
I'm a 21 year old Arts graduate who studied linguistics and politics/international studies at the University of Melbourne. I have accepted a graduate position at the Department of Finance for 2019 and that required me to move to Canberra. I'm a musician and specifically a singer, so I love to play music. I also enjoy playing soccer (so also if you know any teams in Canberra hmu). I'm a fairly social person so I love getting to know new people, and going out to interesting places. Looking for a room in a share house from mid Jan 2019 onwards!
We’re 4 working professionals (2 couples), who have been close friends for 7+ years. 2 of us are undertaking study on-top of working full-time. We’re looking for a 12-month lease with the option to extend as we are looking for a long-term living arrangement.
I'm moving over from Perth in January to start full-time work and am looking for a few people to live with. Location-wise, I'm hoping to be about a 20 minute bus ride from Barton. Definitely keen if you have a dog!
I am a busy, full time professional. I am friendly, tidy in shared spaces and outgoing. I have a good rental history and pay everything on time. I enjoy hiking and Netflix. I am looking for an easy going person who would enjoy an occasional pizza or brunch.
I am moving down from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate role but have been living in a flat-share for the last 5 years. I am easy-going and would love a housemate/s that are up for hanging out, drinking some wine and watching movies. I am looking to move in anytime between 1st January 2019 - 1st February 2019 and would also prefer a longer-term lease (at least 6 months) but that is negotiable. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
The room Master bedroom available, room includes a double walk in wardrobe with parquetry floors and mount Ainslie views. The house Fun 60s interior with ritzy chandeliers and big living spaces. Huge backyard with fruit trees and plenty of room for tanning/drinking/exploring your gardening skills. Original ‘60s bathrooms in pink and green add character and ... Two living rooms and a nice deck provide plenty of space.
I’m a public servant who moved to Canberra at the beginning of the year from Queensland! I come with a bunch of furniture and a herb garden. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of people’s space. Hoping to find 1 - 2 lovely people who are equally as keen as me to live in a social but considerate house :)
I’m an honest, reliable, clean and tidy professional. Pretty relaxed but do prefer a clean home and to share with others who like the common shared spaces to be kept tidy. I’m friendly and quite happy to share a meal or a glass of wine and have a chat on occasion but I like my own space. I’ve shared with 2 girls in their early 20s the past 2 years; it’s been fun to hang out and it’s worked because we respect each other’s privacy and individuality. I am open to sharing with people of any age if they are mature, respectful, trust-worthy, self-aware with a positive, can-do, friendly attitude. Art, hiking, cycling, Pilates, Netflix, great food, coffee and wine, board games, authenticity and honesty are all up there as things I enjoy and value. I’m really looking to live as near to my workplace as possible so Braddon, Reid, Manuka, Kingston, Red Hill, Garran, Griffith are my preferences. $300/week including utilities is my maximum. ** Im looking for a shorterm share of 4 months starting early January (I’ll be housesitting from May 2019)
I am Dean, a Graduate in the APS - with previous experience in the Queensland State Government. I hold a Law Degree from Griffith University. I am looking to move into a house/apartment in Canberra in February 2019 - either in the inner north or inner south of Canberra. I am a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys making friends, going out to bars and having adventures. I am a clean person, who is easy to talk to and get along with. I am originally from Esk (a small country town) in Queensland about 100km's North West of Brisbane.

Hi, I'm Riley! I'm moving up to Canberra from Adelaide in early 2019 to work full-time as a legal grad. Ideal move-in date is early-mid Jan, but can be flexible in starting earlier if necessary. I'll be working in Forrest, and am especially keen on places riding distance from there. I love cooking, indoor plants, campy horror, lentils, hiking, and brunches. I'm looking for a relaxed and reasonably social queer-friendly sharehouse where people chat and share a drink or dinner every so often. I'm tidy (used to work as a cleaner and habits stick!) and reliable, but not pass-agg about it. At the moment I’m living with my partner Cam and three other people. Cam will be staying in Adelaide for 2019, however he'll be coming up to visit on weekends a few times a year and for slightly longer periods twice a year during university breaks (he works as an academic). Ideally this would include about 3 weeks in mid Jan-early Feb, but very happy to discuss how this could work. He bakes and makes excellent cauliflower curry and is very good value. Would love to hear from you! Feel free to message or text.
I am relocating to Canberra from Melbourne to work full time. I am a friendly and social almost-25-year-old. I enjoy leading a busy and active lifestyle, balanced out with some relaxing at home and a good TV show. I love food, so am always up for heading out for a meal (brunch and coffee, of course), or cooking at home. I am very organised and responsible. I enjoy the company of others, but am adaptable and courteous of others’ schedules and priorities. I am looking forward to a new start in Canberra :)
On a short secondment for 6 months in Canberra. Looking for a place that is ideally furnished for short term rent. I work full time during the week and most weekends I'm out or back in Sydney. Have lived in share houses before and have a real estate reference. Preferably an all female flat.
I am pretty quiet, enjoy tea, chats and have great taste in TV & poetry. I'm currently working part-time in the community sector and loving it! Canberra has got me hooked on latin partner dancing, yeah I didn't see this hobby coming either :p At home, I like to cook with fresh veggies, do yoga and try my hand at gardening.
Hellooo - I'm Elsa. Before you ask, yes I've seen frozen and no, surprisingly the Disney jokes haven't killed me yet haha. I'm moving from Brisbane to Canberra at the beginning of February next year. I'm 23 and graduated uni back in 2015, and have been working full time in the corporate world since then. I've also lived in 3 share-houses over that time, and am a pretty clean and tidy person, especially in communal areas. I'm looking for a social house! I love movie nights, and wine and cheese nights and want/need people who I can drag (or who will willingly accompany) me to a nice bar, or cafe/food place. I love the idea of having a group of friends over for a drink and chat etc, but I'm probably not overly keen on any regular parties. I also definitely need time for myself, and respect when others need that too. P.s. i also own a cat who is very sociable and (eventually) good with other cats who i would love to be able to bring with me, but this isn't essential at all (he has a place to stay in qld).
23 year old female moving to Canberra to start full time work in January at Canberra Hospital. I will also be studying throughout the year, so living with people who respect that would be ideal :) I love sport (particularly cycling and rowing), being active, watching netflix/movies and hanging with friends. I am a very social person and enjoy company but also enjoy downtime and my own space. I should probably mention that my boyfriend lives in Canberra and he may visit 1-2 nights per week
Hii everybody! I'm Nadja and I'm from the Netherlands. I got a job in Canberra and I'll start in January. I'm very excited about moving to Australia. I'm pretty easy going and enjoy a glass of wine with other people, but also like my privacy. I love travelling, good food and also really enjoy shopping.
Hi guys, I'm Sophie! I have just finished my degree in Auckland and will be moving to Canberra from New Zealand to start a full-time graduate position in late January. A little bit about myself, I am a friendly and outgoing person who is all about the outdoors. I love snowboarding and will definitely be getting a season pass so bonus points if you know the local mountains and can recommend which one to go to. I'll be new to Canberra so am keen to get out and see what the city has to offer, maybe enjoy a few beers or a strong coffee. I also love Netflix and chill nights at home with good company. I'm tidy, respectful of your space, great with paying bills on time, and won't eat your food. Side note - I have a gorgeous dog who will be joining me in Canberra once I am settled in so a house that allows pets would be ideal.
Hello! Our names are Rae and Sarah and we are a queer couple that have been the exception to the “no couples” listings on many share house advertisements. We have JUST moved to Canberra from Melbourne and are looking to find a place with like-minded people that have room for two, which would preferably be two rooms but we could potentially fit in one if a household can provide room for a shared office/studio working space. We have downsized and don't have any furniture but will sort out what we need for our room/s if they aren't furnished. Rae is an avid cyclist, DIY enthusiast, and a creative who works on their business from home. Sarah is a Science and Maths teacher who loves performance arts, Harry Potter, and pretty much all animals. We like to spend our time roller skating, doing fitness, and dressing fabulously. At home we enjoy a relatively quiet and communal vibe by playing board games with housemates, having occasional shared dinners, and cups of tea. We are mostly vegan but are understanding of all food choices (except maybe sanguinivores). Sometimes we like to have friends over but we honestly don’t have many here yet (please be our friend?!). We are experienced living in share houses respectfully as a couple and are understanding of differing schedules and needs. Respect and good communication in a house is important to both of us. Good house mates are queer/trans friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, SW friendly and have an understanding of mental health. Extra House-Points if you have a garden, chickens and/or other pets!
