Very busy professional looking for a quiet, clean and well organised household. I do travel a lot and get along well with a majority of human population :) I am a house owner in another state and relocating to Canberra for work. I shared houses and rented the properties in the past, so I know the drill :p
Hello! I am a youth worker but usually work a few different jobs to keep me entertained. (at a bit of a career cross road atm actually) I am pretty arty I have a background in photography and I'm starting to learn how to paint. I am at that age where I still wana be social but also enjoy my own space/ alone time. I am a bit of a neat freak not guna lie! I like a clean non cluttered house with lots of plants! And matching furniture and nice decor matter so much more than it did in my 20s haha. I'm vegetarian, prefer to live with other vegetarians/vegans but not essential. Bit of a hippy but the kind that showers. Meaning I am environmentally conscious but not perfect ( I drive a car) Love music and drinking tea ( I come with a large tea collection!) Don't smoke and rarely drink these days but don't care if you do (as long as smoking isn't inside) I've said a 9 month stay but it would most likely be longer, I usually get out of Canberra for some of winter and travel but if I was happy in the place I was living then I wouldn't move out while I traveled. Racists and homophobes need not apply. I'm an open book so ask anything : )
I am a 25 year old lawyer from Melbourne, commencing a position with the public service. I enjoy bouldering, hiking and being active. I also love good food, cooking, reading and animals. So if you have a dog that is a plus. I am clean, considerate and happy to get together for dinners, movies or board games. I also like to try new things. I will likely head down to Melbourne every three to four weekends.
Hi, Im relocating to Canberra at the end of October (from Melbourne) and looking to share with others. I work full time and plan to be active with gym and sport in private time. I havent shared with someone (other than my partner/s) for a long time! At home I like it to be private, peaceful and respectful but thats not to say I dont like being social. Not sure why I cant change the features below - but I actually love cats and dogs so will have no issue whatsoever with either.
Full time news camera operator Wont be around often but when I am I should have a few good stories From the sunshine coast and looking for a relatively calm and clean environment close to work
I am a legal professional relocating to Canberra to take up a position with the ACT Public Service. I am originally from Sydney. I am easygoing, enjoy socialising with family and friends at home or at a cafe/restaurant. I like having pets around (especially dogs).
Easygoing, considerate, friendly, responsible, tidy, social (but not excessively so) mature male. I work in IT. I'm a Sydneysider about to commence a fixed-term role in Canberra. I'm originally from the UK, but have lived in Australia for over 20 years. I have family in Sydney and will mainly only require accommodation during the week. To relax, apart from the usual social activities, I do a little bit of photography in my spare time. I'm also working on improving my fitness so I would happy to be around active (or trying to be active) people. I'm not much of a TV watcher, so I won't monopolise the lounge room! I'm more of a music and movies buff, though I like some sports - (mostly AFL, some rugby union, cricket, motorsport). I'm a good conversationalist. I'm non-religious, non-ageist, pet-friendly. I am straight, but LGBT+ friendly, I'm a non-smoker, a light social drinker and an omnivore. I'm open to sharing or sole tenancy, though my preference is more the former.
Move Information: I have listed here I am looking for a room starting October 26 - however, that’s flexible. I plan to arrive in Canberra from Oct 17 to the 19 - I start my new job on 22nd. Thus, I am flexible on begin of lease. I have listed here 26 October in case that works better, or if potential flatmates want to meet first, etc. But could move in earlier than the 26 as well. Areas of Preference: Braddon, Acton, Reid, Campbell, Turner, Russell, Dickson, Ainslie, O’Connor, Lyneham, Deakin, Barton, Kingston, Griffith, Yaralumla, Forrest About Me: Down to earth. Easygoing. Fun. Well traveled. Love meeting new people and exploring the world. I am moving to Canberra for a great new job. I work in marketing and communications, and I'm also a producer & writer of content such as film, TV, videos and photography. I like music, arts, cinema, nature, health & fitness, good wine and food. I love to cook and learning new cuisines and dishes. I am fun and like going out for a drink & a dance - but also know when to focus on work and other life priorities. I have lived in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne; as well as in several countries including the USA, Cuba and Brazil. I speak Spanish, English and Portuguese. I respect others and expect the same. I am gay. I don't like dramas, issues or negativity. I would like to live in shared unit for a longer period like a year or more, but it's hard to commit without meeting flatmates first, etc. That's why I have listed 3 months. KEY DETAILS: I'm a non-smoker and want to live with a non-smoker - no smoking allowed in the unit. I want to live in a unit with no pets.
Hi! My name is Anna, and I’ll be moving up from Melbourne in early November. I’m going to be in Canberra to check out the city and do some housemate interviews on the 23rd, 24th, 28th and 29th of October. I recently finished my Master of Architecture and want to pursue a career helping figure out how to provide affordable housing. I’m moving to the ACT to study a Master of Public Policy (and work part-time) and ultimately hope to work in the public sector researching public housing policy. I like a share-house that is community-minded and friendly and I’m always up for a last-minute night out or night in! Around the house I am very tidy, and I try to avoid using disposable plastic products and I’m into composting and gardening and that kind of stuff.
I am moving back to Canberra for work from Perth, initially looking for a room until I find my own place. Prefer a short term stay but flexible. I am quiet and respectful but also enjoy a chat over a meal or a glass of wine. I enjoy getting out and about doing walks and socialising with friends.
Hi there, i am a 31 year old non smoking Aussie. I have TWO INDOOR BURMESE CATS who i love and adore. I am hoping to relocate to Canberra from Darwin and intend on arriving on Friday 8th November (my two cats will be with me). I currently work in an admin type role for a federal disability department. Though am looking to change jobs when I arrive in Canberra (most likely to a different government department. I like to get outdoors, am active, love a few drinks with friends on the weekends (out in town not at home), love to travel and like to eat well. I also love having a little veggie and herb garden where possible :) Given my ripe old age, I like to keep a quiet home and don't like having parties in my house. I love a happy safe home and am seeking to find another female or house trained male around my age to move out with. I will be selling my car in Darwin so would like to be close to public transport as possible in order to travel to the city while I am car shopping.
