Sporty life enthusiast from Finland, Europe, looking for a flat/flatmates due to a internship in an Embassy in Canberra. I'm staying from January to April and afterwards going to travel around Australia. Few facts about me: - 26-year-old law student from Finland, Europe, - Respectful, open minded, positive attitude, - I'm neat, tidy and happy to help with house chores, - Non-smoker nor a fan of party life, but a glass of wine on a weekend when served with good company is always welcomed! - Languages: English, Finnish, French, Swedish What I'm looking for my stay: - to meet new people, make friends and experience Australia thoroughly since it's my first time there, - morning runs and other sports, - work full-time, - finalize my Master's thesis under the Oz sun, - enjoy good food (I love cooking!).
CIT environment graduate looking for long-term accommodation. I like to keep my place clean and tidy, and I get along with just about anyone. I enjoy art, photography, gaming and the outdoors.
Ayden & I are both active individuals who enjoy our down time when at home. When we're not training or traveling for competition (we're cyclists) we're usually watching netflix or down the road at a cafe. Other than cycling, I have just recently completed my undergraduate architecture degree in Sydney and plan on starting my masters degree in March at the University of Canberra. I love to cook & bake and appreciate a clean living environment. Ayden is super easy going & can get along with just about anyone (and he knows how to make a good cup of tea)! In between training he works with a catering company. We're looking for a new place as my lease in Sydney ends in November & Ayden's current Canberran flatmates are moving on in February. Ideally looking for a master bedroom with ensuite & also the capacity to store a few bikes. Minimum stay 6 months.
Hey, everyone. My name is Victor. Coming from Brazil and Venezuela, I am looking for a room to finish my studies and settle down in this great country. I speak English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, and am great at housekeeping and cooking. Pretty quiet, neat, and helpful, I get along well with men and women alike and love to talk. More than happy to chat!
Lovely ground floor apartment in Forrest, located close close to Manuka, Kingston, Barton and Telopia Park. The apartment is on the quiet side of the complex (opposite side to Canberra Ave). The balcony looks out onto a small garden. The bedroom avaliable is the master bedroom. The bedroom has an ensuite and designated undercover parking. The apartment is fully furnished and the room can be furnished or unfurnished.
Hi All, I am moving to Canberra from Brisbane in January 2018 to work as a full time teacher. My partner will be working on the Army base and will be living on base for 12 months. I am looking for a modern apartment or townhouse with space to park my car. Furnished or unfurnished - does not bother me (as long as I can bring my bed), I am happy to purchase the essentials. I will be spending most of my spare time playing sport. As I won't know anyone in Canberra I would love to live with someone who would like to hang out for dinners, drinks, shopping etc. I am very neat, today and love cooking dinners. I like to keep bathrooms immaculate and have a strong dislike for old bathrooms with shower curtains!
Heyya :) my name is Philipp and I am a German student. I grew up close to Frankfurt but moved south, close to the Swiss border for my studies. I spent my last seven months in Wellington as an exchange student and intern and I'm coming to Canberra in January for another 3-month full-time internship, so I'm looking for a place to stay for that time! :) I am fairly outgoing and really easy to live with, I've been told. :) I'm a rather sportive guy, my favourite sports being Tennis, Soccer, Basketball and a few others. I also really like to go for a beer or two at a pub ;) I would say about myself that I am quite tidy, although my Mom would probably disagree... I don't mind how many people I would be living with or how big the room/apartment is, like I said I'm quite easy-going, Anyway, if I sound like someone that you would like to live and have a yarn with, I would really love to hear from you and maybe we'll be flatmates soon! Cheers, Phil
Hey there! My name is Serena, I'm 21 and am looking for some wonderful flatmates for next year! I am from Melbourne originally but am relocating for a new position in the public service. I'm really keen to find some people to start a new share house together, or to find a new home with like minded people of a similar age. I currently live in an apartment with my partner, so I'm used to living with other people, and I always make too much food when I cook so I need food-lovers to share with! I have some plant babies that will be coming with me, but no pets, and ideally would like somewhere that I can park my car, or can easily get a parking permit to park on the street. I'm looking to move sometime early-mid February but am a bit flexible on this.
Hiya :) I'm Grace, a 22 year old from Brisbane, moving to Canberra in January 2018 to work in the public service. I'm looking for a room in a sharehouse, preferably with built in robes, and I'm happy to pay more for my own bathroom. It would be ideal to be as close to the city as possible. I don't have a car, so the room would need to be near a decent bus line. So I'm only looking at places in the inner north or the inner south. I super love travelling (just about to go on the Trans-Siberian railway before getting into full-time work) and cooking (I make an amazing tiramisu :D). I'm looking for flatmates of a similar age with similar interests - I'm keen to make new friends in Canberra and have a few drinks with flatmates, but I also like to have my downtime, especially during the week. I am looking to move around mid-January 2018, but am open to moving earlier in January as I have a friend in Canberra who can have a look at rooms for me. PS: I'm not bringing the dog in my photo, he's just very cute and important.
Professional working within the government. Friendly, neat, tidy, quiet - I work both as a full-time government employee and as a published novelist. Fully respect privacy but always available to chat with my housemates. Enjoy cooking, keeping productively busy, and the occasional glass of something red and good conversation.
I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start work as a grad in the public service, looking for somewhere clean and relatively close to work. I mostly just read and watch movies at home, so I'll generally keep to myself, but do also enjoy a chat/drink (and not averse to a good party either if that's your thing). I'm a pretty tidy person, and a non-smoker.
Moving from Sydney to Canberra to start a graduate program in January 2018. Looking for people to share accommodation with, preferably near to Kingston. I am a very easy-going and organised person. I love to have a laugh. I enjoy sport/gym, cafes, and a bit of nextflix. I am neat and tidy, and respectful of others peoples' space. I also enjoy a bit of banter and company. I will be new to Canberra, so it would be nice to find housemates who have similar interests to me, and who might be interested in seeing what Canberra has to offer.
This is a well appointed ground floor apartment in a new complex building in a fantastic location, 500 metres from the Manuka shops and a 20 minute walk to Kingston Foreshore. On offer is a good sized bedroom with a large built in wardrobe, you would have a full bathroom to yourself including a tub. The apartment has 2 outdoor courtyard spaces, one in the front and one in the back so it does not have that 'boxed in' apartment feel. There is a good sized kitchen with a lot of storage space. Fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and drier are all included with the apartment.
Hi, My name is Nicollette, I am an easy going 21-year-old female who will be working full time as a registered nurse and looking for a place to stay (All female) for roughly one year. I am clean and tidy but not overly pedantic. I’m always up for a chat, dinner or drinks, not a big party person either and respectful of others personal space. I will also be bringing a small budgie-sized bird with me who won’t be any trouble :) I am looking to move in early February so please send me a message if interested.
Hi there, I am 24 years old and have just got back from a two month holiday to canada, USA and Mexico. I am looking to move into a place sometime in the new year. Ideally I would like to live in the south Canberra area (Kingston, manuka, Barton and so on) my budget is $250pw not including bills. I enjoy being active and I will be starting a part time degree at UC in 2018 and working full-time. I am an active person who likes to socialize. I work in IT so can help with any internet issues that arrise 😅 Looking forward to seeing where this leads.
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra from Perth late January to begin working in the public service. I'm looking for a furnished room and I don't mind paying extra for my own bathroom. I will be bringing my car, so a car space or easy parking will be needed. I love to travel, go out to eat and sleep. I can be quite the chatterbox, but also do keep to myself and like my downtime (naps). I'm clean, respectful and excited to see what's around the Canberra area, would love if weekend adventuring out and about was a thing! I'm just hoping to see what's out there at the moment leading up to my move :)
$250 including all bills is my budget. Would prefer an ensuite and garage/carport. Iam friendly & easygoing. Clean and tidy. Happy to hang out with flatmates when free or not. Independent. Can pay bills on time. Mature. I am not looking for a party house as I study. Somewhere that can feel like home woukd be awesome. I love dogs and woukd love to live with one. Callanytime. 😊
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’m working full-time in the APS (in Barton) and I’m looking to move closer to the city. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
I am about to start my APS career in Canberra, and am a recent Economics graduate originally from Wollongong. I am sociable, easy going and very considerate! I am an active person who loves hiking and getting outside! I am constantly in search of an excellent cup of coffee and absolutely adore a nice glass of wine every now and then!
I am a 25 year old public servant and I am currently looking for somewhere central, inner north / south or Belconnen Reigon. I am a fun, friendly and easy going person. I’m generally pretty busy during the week with work and on weekends I tend to spend time with family and friends but I do enjoy hanging out at home just to relax and do nothing. I’m not a massive party person but I enjoy being social! So I’m always keen for a chat and to hangout :) I love to cook and watch Netflix, that’s basically me in a bubble. Food + Netflix. Looking for some like minded people to live with! Happy to go anywhere between 6 - 12 months (even longer if possible) I also come with a queen sized bed that I’m not willing too part with (it’s too amazing haha) so the room would need to be able to fit that and storage for my clothing or come with built in robes. Also, I am unfortunately super allergic to cats so I wouldn’t be able to live with them. *sad face* but dogs are completely fine or any other pets :) If you think I suit what you are looking for fee free to shoot me a message!
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors. - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
I am an easy-going 24 year old public servant working full-time in Barton. I'm fairly busy during the week but enjoy hanging out on the weekend. Hoping to find other fun young professionals!
Hi I am Mel from Melbourne, I graduated law school this year and am making the move to Canberra in January 2018 to work for the Department of Finance. I've been off and on studying and working overseas for the past few years in Canada, Switzerland and England. I love cooking and good glass of wine. Looking forward to meeting some cool people to live with. Shoot me a message!
