I am a Software Engineer hailing from the Philippines. I just arrived here in Canberra early January 2019. My workplace is in Fyshwick so I am looking for a place nearby(hopefully at least 1 bus ride away).
I'm tidy and sociable, I know how to cook, and I can make a decent cocktail or two. I’m moving to Canberra at the end of Jan to start a full-time APS job. Looking for a place in central Canberra. I’m relaxed and friendly, but respectful of others and their space. I’m pretty laid back and enjoy hiking, cooking (I can make a mean spanakopita), TV dramas, comedies, reading, photography and sport. I also love a good wine or G&T every now and then. I'm able to mostly furnish a place with a lounge suite, TV, bed, washing machine, cutlery, crockery, and some cupboards/bookshelves if required. I will also be bringing a small espresso machine with me. If you’d like to know anything else about me, feel free to ask!
Hi, I lived and studied in Melbourne for 6 years. And just finish my Master of Engineer in the end of last year. Now I get offer to work in Canberra. I work full-time on weekdays and sometime I need to work on weekend. The time to leave home and come back are fixable depend on I work in office or I need to go through site-visual for inspection. I'm quiet, respect toword to other people, clean and tidy person. I love gym, beach and enjoy my own time when I'm free. But I don't mind to chill out and chat sometime. Also, I'm not smoker and party animal type. The idea room that I looking for are large room with ensuite bathroom. And the address should be close to my office if possible or 10 mins drive by car or take public transport maximum 30 mins. My office address is 121 Markus Clarke Street, Canberra CBD. Please message me if you'd like to team up or if you have a room available. I would like to inspect on 24th January if you available but time we can arrange later.
I am starting a graduate position with the APS. I am fairly social and open to hanging out or just relaxing at home. I am looking for a place with a carpark to get myself established in Canberra. Am fairly flexible with the length of stay, I could be happy to settle in for the longer term.
Hi, as well as being a career public servant, I'm a quiet country guy from northern NSW. I'll be working compressed hours so that I can get back to the farm as much as possible. I'm a relaxed sort of person - I don't mind a chat and I'm equally happy to respect privacy and personal space. I'm tidy and committed to chipping in to help clean up. To be honest, I'm a pretty average cook but a healthy eater. For those weekends I'll be in Canberra, I'm looking forward to enjoying the green space and catching up with friends. But I also don't mind binge-watching trashy TV:) I’d prefer to be within walking distance of work in Barton.
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing before so I definitely know the dill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka. For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I enjoy watching Netflix after work and enjoy socialising over dinner. :) *must be in walking distance to a bus stop too Lauren x
Moving to Canberra to start full-time work as part of the APS. Avid photographer, reader, and also looking to get into woodworking in my spare time. Always happy to chat and socialise, but also appreciate and need alone time. I am a very neat and clean person, but also desperately learning how to cook: any help would be appreciated!
Hi! I'm moving all the way from Perth and will be continuing my learning journey as an educator in Parkes. I'm an easy-going person who values other people's privacy, but is happy to join and have a chat over a meal or head out to places for brunch and dinner.
I'm a friendly, responsible and clean person with a sense of humour. I study a landscaping apprenticeship at CIT (but currently still looking for an employer), and I enjoy photography, gaming, and the outdoors. I like a tidy and clean room and try to keep my surroundings that way. Looking for long-term rental accommodation in a share house or separate flat.
Hi, we are a couple looking to potentially team up for a share house. A lot of pet friendly properties are larger in size and there isn't much sense in us renting an entire place just for our puppy. We are easy going people and our main hobby is watching TV shows and basketball. We definitely aren't party people :P Both of us are clean and prefer to live in a tidy space, we only ask that we all chip in to keep the shared living spaces tidy. Jess currently works as an accountant at a law firm and Tim is a carer. If you would like to know more about us or are interested in a team up don't hesitate to ask us. :)
I’m a Software Engineer working at a renewable energy company based in Canberra, having worked there for the past 2 years. I’m 25 years old and am an experienced share-houser living in several houses over the past few years since moving to Canberra 5 years ago for Uni. I’m very clean and tidy and respectful of everyones space, sleep, and all of those good things. In my spare time I really enjoy going for runs, reading, meeting up with friends, and learning.
Hey, My name is Teneale, I'm from Sydney. I'll be moving to Canberra next year for a graduate job, starting on the 4th Feb. It would be great if I could move in before then, but I could be persuaded to hold back on moving until the 11th. I'm friendly, easy-going and always happy to help out around the house - I don't have experience living in shared rental accomodation. BUT, growing up, I travelled a lot for sporting competitions and shared a room with different individuals. I'm also deaf, with a cochlear implant in one ear, so loud voices/noises late at night or early in the morning, wont bother me at all! Also, for those of you who are shift workers, I always take care to make sure be as quite as possible when necessary (growing up with sister who is a Dr. has that effect) I'm not super keen on big social events, but I do like to go out for a coffee/drink every now and then. I mainly enjoy spending my time watching various television shows and movies, including Game of Thrones, the Avengers and cheesy RomComs on Netflix.
Hi, I'm Nancy and I'll be moving to Canberra (from Sydney) in Feb to study Honours at ADFA - looking for a room in the inner North or South Canberra. I've got sharehouse experience and good rental history. I'm fairly introverted and respect housemates' privacy, but as I'll be new to the city I'm quite keen to socialise and have a chat and share meals and a drink when we're all free. I'm excited to explore walks and hikes around Canberra, and hoping to improve my cooking and baking skills. I'm tidy, a non-smoker and don't have pets (but more than happy to share with pets!).
Hi! I'm Chelsea! I'm moving to Canberra from Brissy to start a new full time job in February. I'm friendly, easy-going and always happy to help out. I like keeping where I live neat and tidy, enjoy cooking, getting active outside and enjoy both fun nights out and quiet nights in! I won't be home much during working hours or the occasional weekends I visit home otherwise I'm always keen for a chat and to hang out but also like enjoying my own space and respect that of other people's. As I'm completely new to Canberra, I'm keen see what it has to offer and moving in with people interested to explore with me or help me settle in would be amazing! Please feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested!
Your stock standard APS grad moving from interstate to become another soulless public servant! Enjoy spending time with housies over a cute Netflix sesh, highly obscure conversation or curry, and the occasional house party but happy with my own space as well. Into foreign languages, keeping fit (late night runs are a thing), food, and dark humour. Am house-trained. Adrian is a private sector grad and Tom is completing legal studies at ANU while working in hospo. Both enjoys bevs, shindigs, obscure conversation, and are happy with their own space. We're either after a whole new lease or a house which is agreeable to the above interests and is accessible to Civic and Kingston.
Hi! I am an APS grad starting in early Feb, moving down from Brisbane having just completed my Bachelors in Journalism and Law. 25, friendly, clean and tidy, have lived in share houses the last five years and college dorms before that. I'm always up for a chat, enjoy sharing a meal and making a place feel like a home, but appreciate we all have our down time. Love the outdoors, I'm anticipating a few hiking adventures and ski trips so would love a flatmate who's keen to get around that! Resident doggo/s not a problem.
Newbie in Canberra, easy going guy working full time in the tech industry doing HR function. On my spare time, I go to the gym, do a bit of sports and occasional outdoor activities. I like to have my own space to relax but I don't mind drinking a glass of wine or beer, watching Netflix or having dinner with my flatmates. I like to keep the house clean and tidy.
Hi, I'm in my mid-30s and work F/T. I'm looking to move into an unfurnished room with plenty of space, and also a little storage space. I'm tidy and clean, chatty, but respectful of others' space. Fairly busy and independent, love keeping active and getting outdoors when I can (walks & hikes, trips to the coast), although I do have a horrible penchant for TV when the Bachie is on. Looking for house mates of roughly the same age and who also work F/T, and it is most important to me that we all click and also have the same living expectations. If it sounds like I would fit your household, get in touch! Gabby
I'm a nonbinary PhD student at ANU. I'm very clean and friendly, and usually up for a chat. I'm a very outdoorsy person and like to spend my weekends hiking or camping. Otherwise I spend a lot of time playing video games or reading to relax. I'm looking for a place close to ANU with chill and accepting housemates that I can hang out with but also have my own space.
I'm back in Canberra (studied and worked here previously) after several years overseas. Got lots of good travel stories. Aiming to cycle to work at Black Mountain most days, like to be active, and usually out and about on weekends. Environmentally conscious, like my own space but also social and ready to have a chat. Ideal place would have (in decreasing order of importance): awesome housemate, carpet, sunshine, gas cooking. Love cats so that would be an amazing bonus!
Hi, I'm Hannah - I'm 28 years old, and moving from Perth to Canberra in mid-February to start a new role in the APS. I'm looking to share a place with one or two others, preferably somewhere in Canberra's inner-south. I'm pleasant, tidy and conscientious, enjoy socialising but also quiet time to recharge. I'd like to live with other young professionals who are keen for friendly chats (current events or Game of Thrones both work) and some shared meals. I like to cook, keep active, play a bit of music and get out and explore. Flatmates that would be keen to hike on the weekends (or share their local knowledge) would be a bonus!
Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm 28 years old and I'm originally from Newcastle. I just moved to Canberra to continue work in the APS. I enjoy reading, running, the gym, Netflix, cooking and outrigger canoeing. I'm friendly and easy going as well as clean and tidy. I'm looking for flatmates who enjoy a chat but also value privacy.
G'day, I've just moved up to Canberra from Melbourne to work full time in the public service and am looking for a good sharehouse. I've lived in sharehouses for years back home and had really positive experiences. I'm a considerate housemate who is respectful and easy going. I'm interested in finding a house with that balance between a friendly and social atmosphere with some personal space. I like seeing live music, getting outdoors (rock climbing, hiking etc) and having good chats over dinner or a drink. Looking forward to meeting some interesting people in Canberra. *photo is my last house, I'm on the far right
