Hey everyone! I'm Lauren. Sadly, the time has come to move out of my current gorgeous abode in the Maleny area as the property has sold to new owners. I'm soon starting an interesting new job (making healthy vegan ice cream, hello) in Woodford, and therefore looking for somewhere between here and the Glasshouse Mountains region (as everywhere else further north or east would create too long of a commute; I'd like to keep it to 30-40 minutes if possible!). So — Maleny, Balmoral Ridge, Witta, Beerwah, Glasshouse, Landsborough, Beerburrum, Peachester, Elimbah etc.; I would tentatively consider Caboolture if the perfect place turned up, though infinitely prefer living in nature to housing estates and perpetual traffic. And, I can move any time between now and mid-September (when I'm travelling to north QLD for a music festival), or during October if nothing ideal turns up before then. Now, some of the more interesting points about me: I'm a spiritually-minded, highly creative, earthy, affable person who loves my peace and quiet and early nights — though I’ll gladly hit up the odd gig or festival or cultural event that catches my interest, not to mention share in deep and engaging conversations about our wonderful, mystifying, quirky world; a sociable introvert, you could call me. Aside from my TBC role as an ice cream artisan, I toggle between various passion projects of the writing and photography persuasion, and do some work from home as well as out in the community. As implied above, I simply adore nature and would love to be somewhere I can wander (a lot) around forests, mountains, water, or parks. (On the note of walking, I've recently returned from five weeks of hiking from France into Spain, so I'm a little obsessed, as well as kind of a travel nut, though in my mid-thirties I'm finding that I crave more peace than adrenaline from being on the move all the time). What I've also missed in my days of travelling (and, before that, living with a partner for 2.5 years), is living in a supportive, likeminded sharehouse; somewhere that feels like a soft landing, not just a place to sleep. My favourite living experience EVER was in an all-female home in Annerley, Brisbane, where kitchen floor chats about life, shared nourishing food, potluck dinners, composting and wellness practices and more were the norm; I learned and healed so much from living here. While it's not necessary (though ideal) to have something same-same this time around, I'm a contrarian Aquarian and therefore like living in places that are a little alternative/community-minded/conscious...and very curious to see what options are out there! There's a lot more I could write, but I'll save that for in-person gabs. Last thing, my budget would ideally be $250 or under (I know, a big ask in this day and age, though not impossible), though would consider a liiittle over that for the right place/people. Most of these points are open for discussion; I'm always willing to see what the Universe has to show me that I can't yet imagine 😉 Let me know if you have any questions, and maybe have the right abode for me! Much gratitude ✨🌱
