I’m open to living anywhere in Canberra, i just had to pick a couple for the listing. I’ve got a stable part-time job in healthcare, and I’m returning to university at ANU. I’m not a big party goer, but I’m not antisocial either. Happy to hang out, but also need some time to myself. Neat and tidy, but not overbearing, and always happy to help with maintaining the house.
Friends call me Kichu. I'm moving to Australia from India for my PG @ ANU on Feb 1, 2018. I am a full time student and will be working part time. I like to sing, percuss and read. I am a good teacher and can talk about science, technology and Indian music for all day long. I love dogs (and cats) even though I don't have any. I play CoD and CSGo.
Hi I'm Stuart, 27 professional (non-government). I'd say I'm considerate and pretty easy to get along with. I'm clean and like to chef, good with animals, and pretty open and respectful. Will chat for hours if it's not just small talk. After work I usually like to watch a movie or play console games, on weekends I'm generally up to something. I've put down Aranda, Kambah, Forrest and O'Connor, but for the right place nearby would be fine as well (Griffith, Turner, Curtin, Macquarie, Cook, etc). Happy to chat - send me a message!
I am clean and tidy. I always pull my weight with house work and pay my bills on time. I enjoy cooking, baking, craft projects, board games and curling up with a book and a cup of tea. I am often up for a chat but also like my privacy.
So - a bit about me. I'm living in Sydney at the moment, having returned from some time overseas just under 2 years ago. I'm a mature, single female, I'm easy going and respectful of other's privacy and have great rental and professional/personal references. I am an Australian Citizen of UK birth. I am sociable, happy to share a glass of wine, and the occasional meal, but I'm not looking for a party house. If I do share (I'm also looking for a granny flat style accommodation) then I prefer to only share with one or two others at the most. I love living near nature, so a city house is not what I'm looking for. I have two very well behaved pets - a cat called Kitwe (who is a very lazy neutered boy, sleeping most of the day and night away) and a beautiful (small) border collie called Mr Finn. Both are rescues and I actually brought Mr Finn back with me from South Africa (my cat is Australian and went with me to SA and came home again). They are both neutered and I keep them well groomed and clean. I walk my dog for 2 hours a day so he is a relaxed dog and causes no problems. As you can tell I am very fond of my pets and take great care of them. They are clean, house-trained and my rental references for the last 7 years are for properties where they both lived with me.
I am 22 year old female, moving from Sydney to Canberra to join the public service. I am clean, respectful and sociable. I enjoy cooking (so you can expect lots of home cooked meals), reading and watching TV/Movies. I love my alone time but also love a good chat. I am looking to share an amazing home with equally amazing people.

I am very neat and tidy and I dont cook as I akways eat out. Really all I am looking for I a room with a bed and a tv to sleep in. My name is Ashley. I would be the ideal house mate because I'm laid back, relaxed and have a caring nature. I like to keep to myself mostly but would like to have the option open to have friends over to visit or to have a quiet drink on the weekend. I'm not looking for a party house at all and are looking for similar attributes in a house mate which are respectful and trustworthy. I work Monday to Friday and also sometimes on Saturday's. On the weekend, I like to take my dog for a walks, watch movies and go for trips back to see my folks every now and then. Molly is a small sized dog who is sweet in nature (especially with children), loves a cuddle and doesn't bark.
-Friendly, happy to join in or keep to myself -Quiet, I keep normal hours -Able to cook -Financially secure -Tidy, I keep my things to my own room
The house has 5 bedrooms and 6 people can live there comfortably. The house is nice and sunny inside. It has great character, with many stain glass windows, a lot of art work around the place and a wide open kitchen dining area with a wonderful open pantry to share. There is a large communal table and a big living area warmed by an electric fireplace- this place is very cozy. There is amazing view over the beautiful garden with a veggie patch, looking over Mount Taylor Nature Reserve. It is a beautiful neighborhood; it’s only a 5 minute walk to the Nature Reserve. Kambah Village shops are a 15 minute walk or IGA and Biginelli, a good Italian Café is a 5 minute walk and a 15 minute drive to the city/ANU.
Two good friends looking for two rooms on the South side of Canberra. One law student and one newly graduated professional, so we are both hard working busy people. We are both very social, tidy, respectful and reliable people. We are both relatively new to the area, so are looking for a social and positive household and look forward to getting to know some new people!!
The property is fully renovated and has a modern feel. It is very comfortable with seperate living areas to give people their space. It has a great outdoor entertaing deck for relaxing and outdoor dining. The house is fully furnished and has internet and electricity included as part of the rent. I plan to furnish the available bedroom so there is nothing to do except move in. The property is in a great location with many walking tracks closeby and is close to both local shops including Cooleman Court and Woden Westfield shopping centre. 5 minutes drive to Woden, 12 min to Tuggeranong business district. Easy access to the Tuggeranong Parkway for 15 min commute into the city as well.
Hi, I'm Albert coming into Canberra from Melbourne. 24, about to start full-time work in Federal public service. I love to go out (bars, clubs or just dining out) and travel when I have the chance. I am also interested in social issues, law and abstract questions which have no practical application in real life.
Hi! I'm a 25yr old female moving down from QLD to Canberra to start work at the Canberra hospital in early January, and my boyfriend is late 20's working in the design field. We are quiet, respectful and tidy and have lived together for 3 years, and always had at least one roommate and gotten along well. We are down to earth and respectful of personal space, but also more than happy to hang out for a drink or check out events on the weekends. We are very independent and don't live in each other's pockets! Please let me know if you think you have something that could suit, time is of the essence!
Moving to Canberra to undertake a grad position at Geoscience Australia after spending the last year and a half in the UK undertaking a MSc at Oxford. Like spending my spare time hiking, reading, and woodworking. Hoping to find a friendly household to help with integrating into the Canberra way-of-life
Mature, easy going, quiet but not boring, friendly but happy with my own company. Interested in social justice but not a rabid lefty and passionate about animals. Currently living south of Canberra in NSW but looking to move back into town. My move date is flexible as I am welcome where I am until 23 January I really enjoy walking, movies, iview and SBS on demand, craft including pottery, being out and about at markets or galleries or in for a quiet evening. Travelling to Sydney, the coast and farther afield Reasonable cook who likes to try new recipes particularly after a recent trip to Spain and the UK/Ireland. I have my own bedroom furniture which I would like to use. I also have my own lounge room furniture which can be stored on the property or used. Storage would be a bonus. No white goods but happy to purchase if necessary. No children.
I have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit who is strictly inside. His a clean little fella. Litter trained and all. He won't free roam but will be residing in my bedroom if applicable. I am a quiet 20 year old who doesn't like partying too much but can get down when one arises. I don't smoke. I respect others and their personal space and belonging. I'm not a nosy person.
I'm moving to Canberra for an APS role. I will be working in Greenway so would prefer something nearby, or in woden valley or the inner south region. I would love some friendly housemates who enjoy exploring and casual wines, but also respect personal space and quiet time. I am easygoing and clean up after myself. I enjoy swimming, banter, kayaking, reading and watching TV.
I am relocating from Brisbane to Canberra for a grad program, and I am looking for a place to live for 6-12 months. I am a clean and tidy person, who is happy to assist around the house, and I will be moving early February 2018. A little about me: - I am happy to live with pets - I am a non-smoker - Will be moving with some furniture - I enjoy the outdoors, 4WD, and keeping fit - I am employed full-time - My beverages of choice are whisky and beer on the odd weekend
Easy-going software engineer and freelance comic book artist on the side. I have interests in basketball, hockey, archery, carpentry and metalwork I work a standard day of 10 - 6:30. My belongings are usually contained within my bedroom and I'll rarely leave any mess in communal spaces. I can share meals if required Also bringing guitar and electric piano. Free to use but don't break them
Easy access, garage for parking, central location to all of Canberra, close to shops and offices in Woden and Mawson, 15 minutes by bus to city and ANU, 15 minutes by bus to Tuggeranong centre. It is a quiet, safe area and the house is well appointed. It is heated for winter and has AC if needed on hotter days in summer. It has a BBQ and outdoor dining area.
Hi! I’m Tora and looking for someone to be the Rachel to my Monica! I’ll be moving to ACT for a Masters course at ANU and would love a room mate. I’m super organised, laugh at my own jokes (and occasionally other people’s) and just like the company of others. I can’t cook to save my life but I’m FANTASTIC at ordering from Menulog 👌🏻 I’m doing first lot of house inspections in ACT Sat 13/1 with more to come. Can’t wait to meet my future room mate!
We are both ANU medical students with busy lives, who have been housemates for two years. We are respectful, quiet, communicative and great at sharing duties around the house. We'll stay out of your hair, but love the occasional housemate dinner. We have lots of experience living with people from all walks of life, and get along well with just about anyone. When we're not studying, Will likes acting and Phoebe enjoys a round of golf.
Hi, I'm Cameron. I'm working full time as an electronics engineer and moving for work starting on the 12th of February in Canberra's West, and looking for somewhere to call home. I'm currently living in a sharehouse and you will find me to be friendly, respectful, and easy to get along with. I'll keep the place reasonably tidy and pitch in for chores. I like enough of my own space, and respect that you probably do to, but otherwise tend to be up for a chat, even over a few drinks or a shared meals from time to time. I enjoy nerdy stuff like books and board games, but I also want to get out and explore our illustrious capital. So what am I after? I'd like to be within 20 minutes drive of work, 30 max (and obviously somewhere to park my car). Bonus points if I can cycle within 30-40 minutes too. (Preferred suburbs above are a guide only!) I'm after housemates who are easy to get along with, respectful, reasonably tidy, and will respect my need for enough of my own space and privacy. That said, I'm keen to live somewhere at least somewhat homely, so after housemates who want to hang out sometimes too. It's important that I meet (or at least talk to) all of the current housemates first. Also, I'm not interested in sharing with any couples (sorry!). The house will be big enough that I am able to have space from other people when I need it - whether or not much of that space is in my room. I also have my own bedroom furniture. Like what you see, but more questions? Don't hesitate to ask! I can also get you a reference from a current housemate on request.
I am easy going and respectful of others, I have a friendly nature and I am easy to talk to. My interests include scouting and art. Despite my age I am quite responsible and independent so I am able care for myself
I work full time for Federal Government, I've been told I'm a pretty chilled, and clean housemate. I'm a musician and a gamer, however I won't play music loudly unless you're not home. I am a Vegan (but I won't judge your lifestyle). I have the most beautiful, gentle and sweet adult cat, who is impeccably trained and thus is easy to live with. I love coffee and do enjoy a drink, but I don't host any parties. I'm serious about having a place with good internet, air conditioning and heating. Importantly, I'm willing to do all the ground work to find a pet friendly house that isn't too far from Civic.
