Hey folks!
I just moved to Brisbane on May 11 and I'm looking for friendly people to share a house with.
I'm originally from the US of A, but I've been living in Australia for the past 18 years (became an Aussie citizen in 2020). I'm mostly introverted and keep to myself, but I'm also very happy to socialise when the opportunity arises, and I enjoy meeting new people. For the most part, I just need a quiet, chilled space. I also like being clean, tidy, and organised.
Currently, I am working as a remote freelance editor for a company that polishes the language of science and engineering publications written by non-native English speakers. I enjoy the flexibility and autonomy this job provides, as well as the exposure to interesting research. I tend to stay at home to work, but sometimes I go somewhere else for a change of scenery.
When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, writing, listening to audiobooks, working on my creative projects, going to interesting local events (e.g., Meetup gatherings), and exploring (both the city and the great outdoors). And sometimes binging youtube. :)
I don't have a car (and I don't intend to get one), so I do not require a parking space.
