Hi, my name is Sonja (36) and I'm looking for a sweet abode that is light-filled, cosy and the perfect place to relax. I am keen to either move into an established home or I am also interested in setting up a lovely home with someone if it worked out. I love to get out and explore the city and the world, having travelled and lived overseas in the past. I have been in Melbourne for over four years and I am excited to move into a new house with a great person/people. I am a very respectful person and I enjoy a relaxed home environment where everyone feels completely at home, and where openness and good communication is essential. My wellbeing is important to me and I like to get out on my bike as well as taking up various forms of mindful exercise. I am conscious of my impact on the world and like to learn about ways that I can be more sustainable in my everyday life. I don't watch TV, however I do enjoy the odd TV series and movie. I head out to see live music when I can and sing in a local choir. I work in the Event/Project management space. I am looking for my new home in the suburbs of Westgarth, Fairfield, Northcote and surrounding areas. I would love a home that is inspiring and light-filled, has a sunny garden and enough living space for everyone to feel comfortable. I follow a plant-based diet so I am ideally after a vegan/vegetarian home. I look forward to meeting my potential new flatmate/s so please get in touch if you feel that we have similar ideas on the type of living environment you are seeking. Enjoy your day and thanks for reading my post! Sonja
I have recently moved from Sydney to Melbourne and am looking for a new place to call home from late December (flexible). I’m 27 and have lived in Melbourne before and love the leftie/hippie vibes of Melbourne so I was keen beans to come back. I work as a contractor in aged care, I typically work somewhere between 8AM-5PM and need to use my car for work so hopefully there's street parking nearby or something. I try to be a fun loving, bubbly, open-minded, respectful, tidyish, enviro-conscious person. Interests include mindfulness, pole dancing, Burning Man and Confest culture, foodfoodfood, craft beer, travelling and other cultures, techno, roadtrips, hiking. I’m hoping to find a home with housemates who like to chill together on occasion but also give each other space to exist. Unfortunately I’m allergic to cats so hopefully no felines are part of the living situation… Cheers! Steph (she/her)
Hi. I’m easy going, yet clean flexible and respectful of others needs (such as being quiet when you’re most likely asleep). I love to socialise with educated and emotionally intelligent people, but will give you space when you need it. I am intending to study social work next year, but already have a BA and post grad in Training and Development. I currently work as an in home aged and disability care support worker,(so it can fit in with my intended further study). I am LGTBI friendly, and somewhat of a (try hard) greeny, as I have a car for work needs, but want to ride my bike mostly to help save this earth. I’d prefer a bungalow, granny flat or double bedroom with an en-suite, or close-ish bathroom and toilet. Ideally, you might have a back garden I could chill in. I only smoke outside and only usually one or two a day, as I’m trying to give up. I have recently separated from my husband of 28 years, with whom I had twins with, who are now 23. I am of Anglo decent, born in Australia, and am open minded about sharing with people from other cultures (who speak English), and with sharing with people of any age, as long as they are good at keeping a place clean-ish. I am looking for a new bright positive life. I’m intending on going back to Uni (& hoping to get into Melb. Uni). I look forward to sharing with a friendly and respectful person, who can sometimes hopefully share in some cooking of good wholesome foods, who will also be good at cleaning up after themselves. I am agreeable to going back to being vegetarian to find the right person to live with, but am also fine with meat eaters. I am spiritual but not religious, open minded to what is commonly called a “new age” Christian and Buddhist based belief system. I am open minded to living with a respectful atheist/ agnostic as I was one for many years. I am quite a greeny when it comes to cleaning products, (due to new research out), and I choose organic foods wherever possible. I strictly avoid pesticides like fly spray and herbicides like weed killer, as they are neuro-toxins that paralyse the nerves of all living things - including humans. They are suspected to cause cancer and be linked to health conditions such as cancer, autism, ADHD and Parkinson’s disease. I have an understanding of health and whole foods, as have helped my ex recover from cancer recently and I also work in the care sector. I would love to live with a like minded soul who is educated or working towards being so. What do I do for fun? I still love seeing bands and enjoying dining out on good food and the occasional beverage. I like gardening, reading, discussing anything and everything. I love to travel, love to learn more about others perspectives, love to share and support others in life’s ups and downs, love bushwalking, horse riding, camping, (although “glamping” appeals more lately). I enjoy going to gym and walking or jogging in the park, or on a beach, going to movies, watching Netflix or Foxtel, YouTube and social media. Unlimited Wifi would be excellent with this house/flat share or bungalow for that reason. I’d prefer a furnished room, but unfurnished would be ok, for the right location. Feel free to call or text me for a quick response if you’re interested in sharing with me. Kind Regards Kerry
Relatively quiet and happy to help out with life. Good sense of humor, occasional stand up comedian. I'm a 28yo working at Melbourne Polytechnic and finishing off the last of my PhD. Pretty quiet these days with writing but always up for a chat. Like building things but don't have much space these days, so if you have a shed that'd be aces. Thanks for considering me,
We are a young, but mature, couple from Sweden seeking the warm and adventurous life of Australia. We are looking for a place to stay during our time in Melbourne, which will be our home here in Australia. We will be working a lot, but also go out on short travels. We like to keep our surroundings clean and tidy and we respect each individuals private space. We are happy to socialize but we respect if you aren't. Our budget is $300 together ($150 each) per week. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are offering a place to stay or if you would like to gather up for a group search. Cheers, Emma and Olle
Originally from Adelaide. Been living in Northcote for the last 6 years. I work at RMIT Uni doing computer related things. I enjoy the occasional drink with friends after work. Not looking for a party house. Proximity to reliable public transport is essential. Ask away.
Hey guys, just a few words about me. Very social, easy going too, but I respect everyone space as well. I can't live by myself ,only because after long day at work i just love to chill with whoever is at home because so the more housemates the better for me. I am keen to party from time to time as well. Otherwise, im pretty handy, and i can help growing vegetables, love to learn how to be self sufficient. From France but lived in Australia the past 8years. I like camping, any outdoor acti ities and am a big fan of bamboo constructions.
I'm friendly, considerate, interested in other cultures and the world around me, and interested in sharing with others who value kindness and the ability to communicate openly about things.
Hey there! currently am working two jobs one in tech retail and then a bar in fitzroy a couple nights a week. Have had plenty of experience in sharehomes before and like to say im pretty domesticated. I enjoy drawing and music and tend to have a different creative 'project' every few months... I do have a Greyhound, Doug and two kitties, Blizzard and Percy, but all are extremely well behaved and are just super lazy really. Please feel free to ask me any questions!
Hello! We are a couple, young professionals moving back to Melbourne from a six month stay up in Cairns! Kyle is 27, a Melbourne local, and will be starting a full-time horticulture course at Melbourne Polytechnic at the Fairfield campus in early February and also working part-time. Julia is almost 29, American, and a vegan chef, and will be resuming her business as a vegan personal chef, caterer, cake maker, and cooking and hatha yoga instructor. We don't have any pets here at the moment, but Julia still has her cats back in America and would love to start the process of moving them over to Australia if possible! We are still in Cairns, but our plan is to leave here in mid-January to start driving down to Melbourne and get back by the end of January in time for Kyle to start school! We are both vegan and would prefer to live in some kind of veggie-household. Would also love a backyard to grow some veggies in, and flatmates who we could spend some amount of time with cooking, doing yoga, playing board games, or going on hikes. We would like to live somewhere reasonably close to the Fairfield campus so that Kyle can commute easily to school. Let us know if you think this could work for you, and we can go from there! Thanks!
I am out a lot on the weekends but am home during the week. I know all the good places to go in Melbourne as I have lived here for 18 years. I will do my share of the housework and keep the place clean.
Hey I'm Nick. I work fulltime as a Technician for a small ISP company, but when I'm not working I spend most my time playing and making music. I would love to share a place with some creative types, peeps who understand the need to be a complete hermit from time to time to explore a creative itch :) Apart from that, I'm a reliable, trustworthy human being (unlike some decrepit beings), have no problems paying bills, can cook and enjoy a semi-social life. I'm pretty open minded and defo more on the chill side but do enjoy a beer from time to time and talking shiz. Hit me up if this sounds like you.
I'm a web designer/developer from New Zealand - just moved to Melbourne after 7 years living in London and starting a job here on November 7th. I'm pretty easy to live with I think and always reliable. My last housemates in London said I was 'irreplaceable' lol. I'm pretty sociable I guess and have quite a few Kiwi friends here... mostly between Preston and Brunswick East. I'm respectful of personal space and value my own, but always up for a chat, the odd glass of wine/meal together/movie night etc. I like to keep a tidy house too. I'm into the usual stuff... eating as much delicious food as I can, keeping fit, and I'm a fairly big music fan. I'm looking forward to exploring more of Victoria on the weekends when I have a car too.
Hello! I'm in the final stages of completing a now full-time bachelor of health science - naturopathy. I work part-time in an health food store, and sometimes in an office. Loving things extends to comedy improv, hiking, photography, exercise, escape rooms, podcasts, cooking, books and friends. My housemate credentials are some of the best you'll ever come across. Not only can I provide the house with expired health food, but I am also in possession of a fridge, washing machine, and general practical furniture things. I'm considerate, easy to approach, friendly, and can scrub toilets really really well.
Hey there! Looking for some similar people to live with in a sharehouse. Don't mind if a join a hood or we start a new one in a new house. Preferably would like to live with 2-3 others to be able to afford a decent place but not drain the bank. I'm Extremely clean. Easy to live with. Responsible. Have a good renting record. Work multiple jobs to support a decent income. Love socialising, music, drinks and hanging out. I own/operate a music mixing and mastering business so I'd require a room to live in but also another room to work from. Ideally, I'd love to find a place which had a granny flat (separate room away from the house) where I could do my work. Hit us up if you're interested!
Currently living in Essendon with an awesome flatmate who is leaving for the UK early next year to live out her dreams. That means I have to move out sometime before then, preferably Early January, sooner if something awesome is available. About me - I'm a 24 y.o. full-time digital designer for a printing company, working often 6 days per week. I'm a clean and respectful person, and I'm out and about for most of the week. I get along with pretty much any person or pet, I'm always up for a chat and love animals. I'm keen to live pretty much anywhere that is within 30 mins of my work commute to Thomastown, provided it is a nice home in a friendly neighborhood. Feel free to ask me any questions.
We are two high-school friends from QLD both working part time and studying full time at La Trobe. Our lease runs out in February next year and we are looking for somewhere else to move as we will not be renewing our current lease. We're both easy going, clean and respectful humans. When we're not studying or working we like to watch some Netflix and have a cheeky Bev or 3 and play some cards. Shoot us a message if you have two rooms that would suit or would be keen to find a place to start our own share house :)
Hi, I'm Minnie, studying Linguistics at Melbourne Uni, originally from NSW. I'm looking for a place to stay for a bit while organising something more long term with friends, and while doing a short uni subject, from 9th January to around the start of February. I have subletted in shared accom in the past and very much like to clean up after myself and be considerate of fellow humans (and pets, I have no animal allergies, quite the opposite). Please shoot me a message if I look like a good fit :) - Minnie
Hi everyone, My name is Romane, I am a french girl coming from Paris. I am 20 year old and currently doing a bachelor degree at KEDGE Business School. I have lived for a year in Budapest, Hungary in a shared flat, so I am already very familiar with living together with people from different culture. I had very good time in Budapest, I can't wait to go to Melbourne. I will stay in there for 6 months to do an internship. I am really outgoing, clean, I like to party but also stay at home and chill. I am looking for a room in a flat not far from my office preferably. More than flatmates I am looking for friends to enjoy my time in Australia and maybe travel a bit. Please, feel free to contact me if you are also looking for a flat or if you already have a flat and you are looking for flatmates.
I study horticulture so I spend a lot of time in the gardens with all my plant babies. I have the cutest, smartest whippet pup companion Max, who comes to school with me.
Hey guys! I just moved from Adelaide a couple months ago and looking for a new place to move into! At the moment I am a student doing my HR Management course online so you'll most likely find me at home during the times that I'm not working 1 of my 3 retail jobs haha! I am a neat, easy going guy and I love to explore new places. During the week you will typically find me working, studying or watching Netflix (usually Netflix 9 times out of 10, lets be real haha). I am also an absolute rev head so if you have any interest in cars, we're probably going to get along well :D Thanks for reading in advance!
Hi, I am Emily and I am travelling together with my best friend for over one year now. We spent most of the time in New Zealand and have a lot to tell. We are friendly, tidy and openminded. We would like to make some friends and fun while we are staying here in Melbourne!! Feel free to contact us if you have a room for two girls. cheers emily
Hello! I'm looking for a new home! I'm 29, vegetarian, love craft beer, music festivals, bass music, meditating, running and cleaning ;) I'm looking for a calm and happy household, I tend to be out the house a lot, but when I'm home I really value knowing my housemates and getting along. I work full time 9-5, happy with long or short term & happy to go on the lease. Ideally I would like to move by around mid December but I'm flexible for the right place. I look forward to meeting you! :)
Hi! My name is Hannah and I'm a 23 year old genderfluid person who's grown up in Melbourne. I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life with a new house with a large yard for my animals. I have 9 rabbits, 4 hens and 3 ducks. They are all clean and taken care of incredibly. I am only intolerant of intolerance so if you can get on my train it would be awesome to share a home with you. :-) I am disabled, but working towards recovery, with a stable income from the government as I do. I smoke the devil's lettuce so I need housemates who are comfortable with that. I hope that you consider me, thank you for taking the time to read this. :-)
Love to cook/clean/host/explore and are considerate roommates. We are a couple from Canada, who are well traveled. Getting Masters in physiotherapy, while the other half will be working full time in sales. Excited to experience everything that Melbourne/Auz has to offer.
My name is Sreten, male-strait, pensioner, 66. I am well mannered and educated, clean and tidy, having a GSOH, good cook, vegan, religious, mostly quite, but I would sing in my room some Gospel hymns and song. I am originally from Macedonia and am here quite long. I could work a few days in the week, but sometime more. I very sensitive for the other people, space, privacy and feeling, because I lived quite long in a shared accommodation. I would do gardening for free, but would not refuse to be paid, as well. Kind regards
I’m a pretty open minded guy. Like playing games and especially extremely chatting with anyone in English!!!! And I’m working as barista, so I can make good coffee.
Hey there! I'm Abbey and I'm from New South Wales' South Coast. I am looking to start my undergrad study (BSc) at the University of Melbourne in 2019. I'm looking for a place where I can stay at least for the first year of my studies, with some flatmates who are just as friendly and easy going as I am. I am highly organised and always willing to lend a hand wherever it is needed. I love music, nature and art, and am particularly passionate about wildlife (so I would be over the moon if you have any pets!). If I sound like someone who'd work well with you and your flatmates, please get in touch :) Cheers!
Hi my name is Giovanna. I'll be starting a masters in Melbourne Polytechnic next year and I'm looking for a permanent place to move in that is either in the city or in the middle between the city and preston. I'm 25, friendly, like to read and binge watch on Netflix. I'm also clean and tidy and would like a house or apartment where the common areas are kept that way. If u have any pets they are a plus for me.

Hi Im Ben, Im very easy going guy who has so far had a life full of great experiences. I am a clean and organised person but by no means OCD. I follow the AFL during the year, love cooking and a good glass of wine after work. I'm happy in my own company but am always up for a chat and connection with my house mates. I have a fair bit of stuff on during the week so am not home more than 3 nights per week. I have always lived with people and have always had positive experiences and have made some great friends for life who i have lived with. I recently moved jobs and would like to live closer to work so i am looking for a share house.... ideally with 1 or two others who also work full time. I can bring as much or as little furniture as you like including my kitchen stuff. I am very flexible with cleaning rosters and sharing or not sharing essential food and meals. Give me a shout and maybe we could be a great fit.
Hey Flatmaters! I'm Emily-Rose, a 30-year-old Communications professional who likes counteracting all the chocolate I eat with gym sessions and pole dancing classes. I'm a Melbourne local, and have a big and varied group of friends so I spend most weekends out socialising. I adore pets, and would ideally like to adopt a 'lil kitty in my future place, but would be fully responsible for the important things like keeping it alive. I'm looking to move in mid-late January, and am fully house trained. I've lived in both great and awful sharehouses in the past, so I know exactly what I'm looking for in the housemate department. Hopefully that's you! I tend to be more comfortable with women, but am open to everyone so long as you're not an awful human being and you like to have a chat every now and again 😊 My future home will be relatively new (i.e. mama wants a dishwasher), with lots of natural light, and preferably close to a park. I have minimal household stuff outside of my bedroom, but would happily invest in some big-ticket items if needed. I'm also very interested in hiring a cleaner once every 2-4 weeks to take the biggest burden off the household stuff. If this all seems good to you I hope to hear from you soon!
My Hot Take for the Fun Fresh Season of Summer: Anime is a fine art. You can't change my mind. Hoping to move from Perth to Melbourne for studies, just looking at possible living spaces right now. Studying Visual Art, specialising in illustration. I'm not messy, I use digital mediums, sometimes mixed media, but not really oils, so don't worry about that. Plus, most of my work will be done in studios. Currently I work at JB, hoping they can relocate me to a Melbourne store so that I don't have to look for work and can get into the swing of things instantly. I'm a salesperson, so I enjoy talking to people, but I also enjoy personal space and completely understand if you like being in your own bubble. I can cook some really cheap meals, a lot of rice and noodles. I also don't mind cleaning up, and I like to have my space organised and clean. I'm looking for some people around my age who are interested in pop culture, anything from video games, to comics, to shows, I'm cool with. I'd also prefer people who are allies or members of the LGBTQ+ community, since I'm not straight myself and my sibling is trans. I think that about sums it up B^D
We’re looking for two rooms for two super friendly, respectful and just generally good humans. I’m Ashlee and I’m studying Chinese Medicine, and Kat is studying Nutrition. We’re looking for a friendly place to call home for a year or two (or more) that is chill and on the quieter side... and hopefully has a backyard. We prefer a tidy home, but we’re not total neat freaks. We’re into recycling, composting and looking after the earth in any way we can. You’ll either find us studying, working at our casual jobs, cooking up a storm in the kitchen or doing some yoga in the back yard.
Hi! My name is Jesper Larsson and I'm 21 years old. I'm in Melbourne on a working-holiday visa from Sweden with my three friends. We have been travelling down the east coast for approximately 2 months. We are now looking to work as mechanics, chefs, etc in Melbourne. We're simply just looking for a place to stay where we can sleep, cook food and wash our clothes. We're flexible and easy to deal with. Best regards, Jesper Larsson, with friends
