Stable full-time job working in the CBD Been living in Melbourne for the last year and plan to stay long-term Like to work out, run, and mountain bike
I'm looking for a room for myself to move into. I'm a 47 year old Freelance Video Producer (mainly corporate, non-profit, some advertising) with a background in documentary and a previous life as a social worker. I'm well house trained, tidy and pretty busy with work most of the time.
Full time working professional seeking new home! I am pretty quiet through the weeks, leaving early, getting home early evening. Through the week I usually cook dinner, go to the gym, maybe catch a movie or go to some trivia. I am partial to a wine on the couch but save the partying for the weekend (away from home!) Well versed in share house rhyme!
Hey there. I'm currently looking for a place to live in Melbourne. My length of stay says 1 month but I would consider something more long term for the right place. I'm 36, easygoing, respectful, friendly, and well-traveled. You will never have to clean up after me. I always keep my space clean and tidy. I do have a job although I don't have a car. Living somewhere with good public transport and easy access to the city is crucial. I also have a Costco Membership if that is something that interests you! 😂 Anyways, looking forward to hearing from you. ✌️
short version: 29yo musical & creative type seeks happy, clean home in Brunswick (inc. East/West), Coburg, Northcote, or nearby. Hoping for something around $600-650 (as I pay studio rent for my workspace too) though I’d consider more for the perfect place & people. Things I am good at: Cleaning, paying rent & bills on time, music, being friendly. Things I am not good at: Deciding what to cook, and writing short, succinct descriptions. With that prior apology for length, please read on… I go by my surname, call me Tilley :) I'm a 29yo musician & voice coach, originally from Tassie, been in Melbourne 4 years. I also sometimes work in events (stage managing etc) and as a fine art model. I’m good at paying rent and bills on time and without being hassled, and having my shit generally together! I’m cheerful, playful, silly, open, honest, a total dag, and a balance of introvert/extrovert. I’m omnivorous but very keen on learning more vegetarian recipes and moving towards being meat-free at home (don’t care what you eat though!) I’m a queer intersectional feminist, looking for fellow lefties, preferably fellow creative types and people who are environmentally-minded and reasonably health conscious, in a lovely, sunny home, with whom I can occasionally laugh, dance in the kitchen, and roll around the floor being stupid with. I sing a lot (but am apparently good at it, if that helps) and am sometimes not the quietest person (big heart=loud laugh etc), but am always considerate of people’s bedtime/sleep-ins (though if you exclusively work night shifts and sleep during the day, it’s probably not going to work). I usually sleep around midnight - 8am. I’d love a home that is a good balance of social time & alone time; occasional shared meals, going out together, chatting over a cup of tea or wine at the end of the day… and then sometimes I just hide in my room and need space. I’m not commonly a party animal and don’t drink much but enjoy a nice wine or whisky now and then. Love a house that feels like it’s part of a community, with friends over now and then for dinner/potlucks/movies/singalongs, but not massive wild parties on the regular. I talk to my neighbours (if they’re nice people) and try to get involved in local community. I’m pretty clean & tidy… washing dishes pretty much right after using them unless I absolutely have to dash, wiping benches/table after cooking/eating, putting stuff back in pantry after use, regular general cleaning, yada yada… so it’d be cool if you were on the same page! Ideally I'd love a home with no commercial TV (Netflix etc is kewl, but reality TV/heaps of sport/shows where people yell at each other a lot etc probs not so much...) and no smoking/incense/sage/palo santo (it makes me sick. Outside smoking is ok if not near my bedroom window). Clear, honest, and timely communication is SUPER important to me: If, when someone does something which upsets or annoys you, you talk to them about it calmly within the next 24hrs, that’s awesome. If you can communicate your boundaries in an upfront way, e.g. “Hey, I don’t really feel like talking today” or “Hey, I really need a quiet house today, with no singing or weird noises” or “Hey, I’d prefer you don’t use that particular mug", then I am more than happy to accept and respect them. I’m no good at mind-reading or hint-interpreting and not a fan of passive-aggression. I don’t come with much furniture apart from my bedroom stuff, I have no whitegoods apart from a totally awesome blender/food processor, so I need to find a home pretty set up with those things already. I come with a (small!) piano, if there’s room for it, if not, it can go to my teaching studio. I also have a small motorbike (cute as heck postie bike) which I need somewhere off-street to chain up or park securely (a side path or backyard is ideal). I’d love a home with lots of art, plants, and cups of tea, all of which I’ll bring some to contribute. ♥ If you want to stalk me further, my instagram is a good place to get an idea of who I am: tilleysong I’m looking for a long term home, minimum 1yr. I’d love to come over a couple times for chats & share a meal/some drinks together if it is looking positive, because I want to make sure this will definitely work long term. Let me know if I sound like a good match for your home!
Hi there, I am relocating from Perth to Melbourne with my work. What am I looking for? - easy-going and tidy housemates - dog-friendly housemates (I got a small/medium dog, 11 yo, Nala) - a place in cycling distance from the city and bay - private room I am easy-going, have shared houses and flats since 2010, in Europe as well as various parts of New Zealand (Auckland, Dunedin) and Australia (Perth, Sydney, Melbourne). I work a fair bit so I keep a rather quiet life. I enjoy a chat or enjoying a meal or drink together but I also enjoy my independence. When it comes to cleaning, I don't need to be able to eat off the floor, I do like it homey though and know to clean up after myself. Shoot me a message if you think this sounds good to you :) Cheers, Leila
Hello! We are new to Australia and are seeking a place to call home. We are a friendly and respectful couple from U.K/U.S.A, both working pretty much full time. We are keen to meet new people - yet understand the need for privacy and everyone’s own space. Our shared interests include hiking, spending time outdoors in nature, music, cooking and good food. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
A bit about me: I’m 26 and I work in Marketing, but my real passion is making sweet tunes! (But don’t worry I’ve got headphones for my keyboard). I’m also a tidy person who loves a good chat about anything art, culture related. looking for a share house in the North East burbs of the Inner CBD. Don’t make the same mistake of leaving me behind… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGp03lY3_pc
Computer programmer, electronic engineer, musician (Piano and Guitar) and compose lots of music of various styles. I’m studying B.Mus in Songwriting and Music Production at Melbourne Polytechnic in Fairfield. I have a lovely cat called Kira who mostly stays outside and I’m a smoker but mainly vaping and always outside. I need a room that has space for me to setup my recording studio (or another space to do so). I’m clean, good at chores, can cook, don’t make a lot of noise (often use headphones wen playing or recording music) and have savings (received large redundancy payout from Telstra in November) and a good income from investments and royalties. I have my own home in Newport but wish to move closer to uni and will be renting my house out for extra income.
Hi future flatmate(s), my name is Fia and I'm a part-time postgrad research student at Melbourne University and a part-time worker in the hospitality and tourism industry. I'm also a lead campaign organiser for a progressive political party for this upcoming federal election. I'm a very simple, tidy and non-judgemental kind of person. I practise inclusivity whenever I go. I'm mostly a person who keep things to myself but when I'm starting to feel comfortable with someone, I can easily open up. My friends say I'm a funny person but it's because I don't have any funny things to say. My jokes are a bit dry and non-sensical. I love (progressive) politics that's why I'm a lead campaign organiser for a political party. And also as an academic, my research focuses on the marine environment and the anthropology of imperialism. I can be extremely nerdy around social theories. I'm a morning person. My normal morning will be waking up at 6am, make myself a cup of coffee, walk my dog, then getting ready for work/university. I mostly work on the weekend with irregular hours (20 hours a week). I have lived in the Darebin area for over 10 years and love living in this area as I have a strong connection to its multicultural, progressive and sustainable community. A community who know what matters for the future. I come with Prometheus, a 12 months old, Golden Retriever and two cats, Sassy and Zowey. I cannot be separated from these three babies, as they have been a very wonderful companion during my traumatic separation with my ex-partner last year. Sassy and Zowey are indoor cats. They can stay in the room with me. Prometheus, meanwhile, is my golden puppy. She is still a puppy and she can get very excited when she sees people and food. I'll be training her to be a service dog. She is everyone's dog and she loves people, gentle and placid. While I've been letting Prometheus sleeping inside, I'm happy for her to sleep outside in a doghouse if necessary. I'm happy to negotiate arrangements for my pets.
I'm a graphic designer, currently working full time for a travel company - mates rates, am I right ;) - but also do a bit of freelance work on the side on weeknights and weekends (Ideally I'd love to live somewhere I could fit a desk in to facilitate this!) I'm originally from Adelaide, but have been living in Melbourne for a bit over a year, and love it! I play social basketball a couple times a week, enjoy watching a good game of AFL (Port Adelaide, of course!) and try to get to a live gig or a festival as much as I can - love it! Also, anything art, design, music, movie or comedy related is right up my alley. I'm very easy going, and enjoy a bit of banter (dad jokes are guaranteed to make me lol). I like to socialise, and always love meeting new people, but at the same time I appreciate having my own space and quiet time every so often. I appreciate a tidy house-hold, and am a strong believer and do-er of cleaning up after yourself! Feel free to get in touch if you would like to know any more about me, or what I'm looking for (or if you have any quality dad jokes to share) D :)
Looking for I month minimum for May, but can move earlier if need be. Sorting out longer-term rent vs buy options now that are taking a while to line up. I have done a lot of house-sharing as housemate, tenant, and landlord, having owned a house for the past 25 years. Tidy, sociable, ideally a furnished room with a desk, though I have a storage unit full of furniture for anything that's needed. Need room to store a bike, my only mode of transportation (apart from my legs; no storage needed for those). Just message me with more than "Looking for a room?" here or on my mobile.
Hello there name is Eperthenney but please call me Bee or Befi, I am 29 years of age and I am a friendly, down to earth with a touch of sense of humour who loves to make people laugh and smile kinder person. I love road trips, God is my life and music is apart of who I am. I love my own space and doing my own thing specially when it gets to work, I like to catch up on things and on sleep. I also love watching movies only if its one I haven't seen before :) I work hard and my motivation every morning is knowing I have my parents to help out and provide for back home in NZ.
Hi future housemates and friends! I get on with everyone and value being friendly, up front, and kind. I’m looking for a social house to live in with fun, interesting people. I love joking around and relaxing with a drink at the end of the night. Im doing my 6th and final year of psychology study, and I’m out many evenings playing dodgeball, basketball, hosting trivia, or working. Brunswick born and bred. I come with board games (incl. Catan + expansions).
My fiancé and I are seeking to live in a clean, easy going, respectful and reliable person/s in the Inner + Eastern Suburbs starting from March. We will be coming from Denmark (that little charming northern European Scandinavian country, home of Princess Mary, dedicated bicycle lanes, Lego and the little Mermaid) where we have been living the last couple of years to transition back into life so that my fiancé can commence her PhD research held between both Denmark and Australia. A little about us: Anthony, 34 originally from Melbourne, living and working in Copenhagen as cabinet maker these last years. I am Trained furniture maker, lover of nature who doesn't mind getting 'homey' making a good food. I also tinker with making electronic (usually in my headphones) and practise a form of yoga and Meditation daily. Mette, 29, Danish, writer+researcher, dancer also a nature lover and currently a PhD student holding a Masters in Public Health. She worked as a part time yoga + dance instructor as well as running women's circles and workshops here in Denmark. Aside from being fluent in her mother tongue (Danish) she speaks fantastic English (better than her counterpart sometimes) as well as Spanish and German and is passionate about doing all things good for the world. We don’t drink or smoke and are all about clean fun and are looking for a home, not a party house to unwind and after a day's doing's. We also aim to live a peaceful and low waste lifestyle and looking to move in with others sharing similar views. We are also Vegetarian/Vegan and would favourably choose a meat free home but is not essential so long bacon is not getting fried up daily. A little outdoor area where we can all mingle, share a meal and have a laugh in and around everyone's daily doing's would also be plus.

I'm a 39 year old single male. I work full time as a writer for a digital marketing company. Currently trying to get fit and healthy again after undoing all my hard work over the last couple of years. I pay my rent on time and like a chat but am also respectful of other people's need for space.
Hi, my name is Poppy, I am studying at Melbourne Polytechnic this year in Preston. I currently live in Croydon and would like to live in a sharehouse (with my own room) closer than an hour and a half away. I like playing animal crossing amoungst other things and reading comic/graphic novels, I like all types of music and fish, sadly I have none. I am accepting and looking for any welcoming place to move into, I am easy going, organised, I am clean and will obey by house rules. I hope to hear from anyone that doesn’t live too far from a train station. Thank you for any consideration (:
Hi, Im Chris, 29 and currently looking for a room in the inner north. About me: I work full-time as a meteorologist at the Bom, its shift work so I do some nights and weekends as well as normal days, so my schedule is a bit erratic. I like a quiet house and love an early night when I am working. I have lived in share houses for 10 years and think I am pretty good at it :) Very neat and tidy in common areas and respectful of others. Generally a very easy going person and enjoy hanging out with housemates and having the odd shared meal/wine. I don't want to live with smokers or party animals. I'm really into outdoor activities, on my days off I often head out to the Grampians to go rock climbing, and also like mountain biking and trail running. When I am in the city I like catching up with friends, training for climbing and growing vegetables. If you think I might be a good fit for the house please let me know!
Relatively quiet and happy to help out with life. Good sense of humor, occasional stand up comedian. I'm a 28yo working at Melbourne Polytechnic and finishing off the last of my PhD. Pretty quiet these days with writing but always up for a chat. Like building things but don't have much space these days, so if you have a shed that'd be aces. Thanks for considering me,
Hi, I'm Rouvin. I'm a 28 year old engineer who's been living in Melbourne for about a year now. I make music in my free time and am a pretty easygoing guy who likes the occasional drink, going to the movies and gigs.
