Hey, I'm Meredith. I'm a freelance editor/writer (WFH) with some chronic health issues post-vax. I have two dogs (a golden retriever/kelpie and a foxy/mini poodle, both inside dogs). I'm quiet (don't mistake that for not having boundaries though!) but friendly. Fairly neat and tidy. I don't drink or smoke. I mostly stay at home, but sometimes push my health limits to go see live music or to catch up with friends. Looking for a teamup for a new place, ideally with someone who doesn't have much in the way of furniture as I've got items for an entire house (incl. bedroom stuff, eight bookshelves, desk, dining table and chairs, couch, entertainment unit, coffee table, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, etc). Also open to an unfurnished room with storage space (garage size or so), in a pre-existing sharehouse. Oshun comes to work with me everyday at the daycare and when she comes home she just wants to sit next to a human! Oshun is great with cats, a bit under confident with dogs but is very friendly! Hello Potential Future Flatmates, Sigh.......I never really feel comfortable trying to describe myself to others, but I will do my best. I am a 60 yr old gentleman, but I am not an old 60. I am easy going, I am a self contained person who enjoys living a harmonious life with those around me. I am not a drama person, life is far too short for that. I relocated from Central Qld in 2023 to start a new job and more recently now in 2025, I am about to start a business studies course. I enjoy alone time, but am quite outgoing and friendly and can connect with most people, except maybe for those people who choose to live with negative attitudes, I have found that life is too precious to weigh yourself down with the negative attitudes of others who are still trying " to work it out", so with no judgement in mind, I simply do my best to stay distant from negativity. I find joy in singing and helping others. I have been heavily involved in community theatre for a time in C.Q, being part of a community choir, volunteering as an entertainer for aged care centres and various charity groups. I am embarking on another life journey by coming to Brisbane and I want to embrace it with both arms, and I would be over the moon to find a stable, long term, accommodation situation with like minded, easy going people.
