Hi there ! My name is Matthieu and I am a 29 year old French guy who just finished his studies and found a job at Monash Clayton. I will arrive on October 29th and start work on the 7th of November, which gives me a week to find a nice place to live in! I lived with roomates since I started University, including a year in Quebec. I am known to be a very good roommate, very tidy and respectful of my roommates privacy. I will be working full time, so I would prefer to find a more quiet place. But I also enjoy parties and having a lot of fun during the weekends! I like to believe that roommates can be more than just bill sharers: I enjoy sharing beers, watching movies together and catching up around a nice meal. Please note that I really would like to find a smoke-free place. My hobbies include playing volleyball, squash and badminton, watching series (although I might need some subtitles ;-) ) and listening to music (I love concerts). I really like discovering the place I live in, and Australia will be a heck of a discovery. I will be more than happy to share my French culture, but also very happy to catch some of the Australian way of life. So if you feel like showing me around, and if you can bear my English, I would be happy to become your new roommate. See you soon! Matth
I am a very friendly and a warm person. I like to keep things neat and I mostly keep to myself reading novels or my kindle. I love to cook but rarely do so. I do enjoy an occasional social party and I adjust very easily. :)
Originally from Perth, I'm currently studying teaching at Monash. I'm a quiet, low-key person at home, and when I'm not studying, I'm either baking or watching the footy. I've been living in a 4-person share house this year and definitely appreciate the need to be quiet, clean and tidy!
Hello friendly faces! My name is Allyse, I'm 19 and I live in Mount Martha on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. I'm looking for a room to rent until March 2017, preferably in the south eastern suburbs! I work two jobs local to me and planning to study Nursing at uni next year! I'm a bright, enthusiastic and very friendly girl. My main passion is music so I love going to gigs in the city and banging down a few beers every so often with my friends! I've been wanting to move out of home for a while and would love more than anything to live close to one of my favourite cities in the world, Melbourne (of course)! Feel free to send me a message as I would love to hear from you!! Allyse xx

I am a student at Deakin University doing commerce/law degree, I also work part-time as an administrator/receptionist in allied health. I am mature, hard working, organised with clean living habits. I enjoy a good laugh, hanging out with good friends and doing exciting things! I am hoping to find someone who will be a suitable housemate to team up with and rent a nice 2 bedroom house/flat to live. Please message me if you're interested!
I'm Sam. I'm just about to graduate from Melbourne Uni with a Masters Degree in Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing and am looking for someone to share a place with. I currently work part-time as a waitress and will increase my hours once I finish uni until I find a job in publishing, which will most likely be in the city, so it would be convenient to live walking distance from a train station. I am friendly, neat and tidy. I enjoy horse riding, reading and binge watching TV shows. Ideally, I would only like to live with one or two others (females only, preferably also in their 20s), either in an established place or somewhere we rent together. I'm looking for housemates I can become close friends with, who enjoy watching movies and TV and going out for meals. I'm happy to live with students (as I've been one for the past 5 years) or with someone working full time. I love animals so I'm happy to live with any pets but don't currently have one of my own. I would love to get a dog at some point but I have no plans to get one in the near future. I have all of my own bedroom furniture and a few pieces for communal areas.
Hey! My name's Emma and I'm 22 years old. I am hoping to start up a sharehouse around the Caulfield, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Hughesdale area at end of this year/start of next year. Let me know if you'd be keen on starting a home with me and I'll tell you more about myself! Also just a side note, I'm not really interested in taking a room in an existing sharehouse. I'm really hoping to start up my own place with someone so I'm really just interested in team-ups at the moment. I have a few nice places in mind :)
One big room in a two-bed room apartment near Ormond Station for renting. With all required furniture including fridge, washing machine, bed frame and mattress etc. $180 per week plus shared bills. I am a new graduate and currently working full time so most of the time wont be at home. This place is quite and with very convenient transport within walking distance to Ormond Train station. There are two small cats living here, very cute and close to people. I am looking for some one who is willing to keep living place clean and peaceful.
Hi everyone! I just returned from living in India and travelling around Asia for the last year. I was previously studying science and engineering at Monash Uni, but now am changing courses and universities next year. I currently study by distance through Open University, so I will be a study bug some of the time, but I love the odd wine and cheese night as well. I'm happy to make friends with whoever I live with, but I am independent so if you'd rather mostly keep to yourself, I am ok with that too. I am staying with friends as I just arrived back a couple of weeks ago, so finding something furnished where I could move in ASAP would be ideal. Thanks!
Steph is a Graphic Design graduate and Troy is a Industrial Design student. We both have jobs working in a deli and hospitality respectively. We have two pets, Freddie and Crackles, who are our little darlings. They are small, cage animals and are the sweetest, friendliest and cleanest little things. We love board games, the beach, family and being with our friends. One of our favourite things to do is share meals with friends/flatmates, Steph often brings home goodies from the deli. Steph has lived out of home for 8 years and Troy, part-time, for 2. We are both hard workers and are clean and easy-going. We both have travelled quite a bit and love sharing stories about our adventures, we'd love to hear about your adventures too. In our spare time we enjoy watching netflix and having a few bevs, going out for food is always a welcome suggestion too. Troy likes playing video games as well and is happy to share his consoles (N64, Xbox 360, Xbox One) and variety of games. Steph is often working on a project but loves reading and handicraft, her pinterest page is her pride and joy.

I’m Max and I have a vacant room available in Carnegie for a neat and tidy person in a house close to public transport. I’m looking for a responsible and easy going person in full time employment or a university student (easy commute to Monash Caulfield). It is a big house with a huge backyard and lots of storage space. Fully furnished house with unfurnished bedroom with polished boards (some furniture available). There is cable internet, a washing machine, fridge, TV and couches. The price is $200 per week. There is a bus stop one minute from the house direct to Chadstone/St Kilda and it is roughly a 15 min walk to Ormond train station or 25 min walk to Carnegie train station. There is also a public park and swimming pool nearby.
About the room: A spacious sunny room to rent now. The room has a built-in wardrobe, a bed, a study lamp, a chair, a heater, and a desk. The room is big enough to place a couple of more furniture if desired. About the house: The house is a three-bedroom double-brick townhouse. It has a lounge, kitchen, laundry, toilet and bathroom. The toilet and the bathroom are separate which minimizes congestion in busy time. The lounge is equipped with gas heater and A/C. The kitchen has appliances of gas stove, fridge, microwave etc. The kitchen is big enough to fit in a dinning table. And the kitchen is recently renovated. The garage is attached to the lounge side of the house so the noise of engine is blocked from the bedrooms. There is a lovely backyard/terrace that is nice for a lazy sunny weekend morning or when you just want to have some quiet time on your own. The backyard gets morning sun until later afternoon. About the location: The house is conveniently located in Carnegie. The nearest train station is Glen Huntly, which is one stop away from Caulfield station (and Monash Caulfield campus). It is about 10 minutes walk to the station. There also is a tram stop nearby (#67) that takes you to Brighton and St Kilda. Opposite to the train station is Coles; you can grab something on your way home or out. There are international grocery shops, post office, Cafes, and restaurants near the train station. The house also is near Carnegie shopping Centre (5 mins by car) where there are more choices for grocery (ALDI, Woolworth, Coles, green groceries), Cafes, restaurants, and shops. There is a spare bike in the house for people to use if they have too much shopping to carry or simply they want to go for a ride on a nice day. It is 18 minutes ride to the Classic cinema in Elsterwick. Living in the house: This is a shared household. Privacy is respected. It is desirable to keep the shared areas reasonable clean so that everyone enjoys living in the house. Friends are always welcomed. Please text me if you are interested to have a look of the place. (Best to send Jessica gumtree message) Room weekly rent: $165/wk Cost for Utilities (average): approx $15wk Utilities include: water, gas, electricity, and unlimited wifi
WELL, IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN. Hey, my name's Alex & I've been living in here for around 4 years. A friend of mine & I were the first to find this place (i.e. we took it up when it was vacant) & instantly fell in love with it. It took us seriously about 5 minutes to decide that this was our new home. It's massive, so well appointed, so open & light-filled, has such a good energy about it and even after 4 years I'm struggling to find fault with this place. I mean, a house can always be improved of course but this one would take something like a jacuzzi in the courtyard & a rooftop bar with an outdoor cinema to make it noticeably better ;) We understand that most people base their next housing decision on commute times & public transport, proximity to their school or work, local amenities & services etc so we thought it would be helpful to give a brief rundown of the area in regard to these points : * 10 mins walk to Ormond train station, 20-25 mins to Flinders Street Station. 2 stops to Monash Caulfield. 4 stops to Holmesglen TAFE Moorabbin. * 15 mins walk to #64 tram, 35-40 mins to Flinders Street Station (via Chapel St Windsor & St. Kilda Junction) * #630 bus at the top of the street - 15 mins to Elwood Beach one way, direct to Monash Clayton the other way * Easy access to bayside and southern suburbs like St. Kilda, Prahran, Brighton, Balaclava, Elwood, Sandringham etc * All necessary amenities and services within a small radius - banks, ATMs, doctors, vets, gas stations, gyms, cinemas, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, libraries, bottle shops, 24 hour convenience stores, fast food outlets, major shopping centres (Southland, Chadstone) and factory outlets (DFO Moorabbin) * Plenty of parkland with exercise circuits, running/cycling tracks, public open spaces, off-leash areas for dogs, sporting grounds, swimming pools etc If there's anything in this category we've left out that you would like to know about please ask us & we'll be happy to inform you :) There's some extras here that you don't get everywhere : Pro DJ sound system with Serato & double decks for your vinyl pleasure... the sound fills the whole of downstairs so beautifully and is awesome for some relaxing chill tunes over dinner during the week or brunch on a Sunday morning. It's also perfect for entertaining, whether it be a small dinner party or a proper late night knees-up. You don't have to be a DJ to use it (although it would be awesome if you were - just saying), it's easy to just plug your phone or laptop in & enjoy. To be clear, this may be a proper sound system but it doesn't make this a party house. We all highly value our neat, quiet and civilised space especially during the week when cooking a good meal & getting a good night's sleep is essential. Out the back there's a huge paved private courtyard with 2x BBQ's and enough seating for roughly 20 (Summer Sunday Sessions anyone ??) It's like having the beer garden from your favourite local in your own house. We also have sun lounges, deck chairs, a ping pong table & an inflatable pool we can use in this area when the weather is right. It's a lovely little space, especially now that we just gave the garden a full spring clean. We're looking forward to Summer !! Apart from the cool extra stuff there's a huge galley style kitchen with double everything (ovens, sinks, dishwashers, pantries, fridges etc), ridiculous amounts of storage space, dual ducted heating & cooling systems, separate laundry with modern dual washer/dryer combo unit, single remote control roller door garage with home gym (not used for cars, it's more of an activity & storage space), unlimited adsl2+ from Internode, huge lounge area with 50" screen & external speaker system, Playstation 3, Chromecast and Netflix. Oh and we also have a NES Mini arriving soon if you happen to be into retro video games :) So what about the bedrooms ?? (Refer to photos above) The first bedroom (unoccupied in photos) is full size - easily fits double or queen size bed. Comes with optional double bed with as new mattress (2 months old, only 1 user). Good condition carpet, separate ducted heating and cooling vents, louvre window with frosted glass / holland blind / flyscreen, triple panel mirrored sliding door BIR's, and all utility points built in (electricity, pay tv, phone, TV antenna). Everything in working order and undamaged. The second bedroom is almost identical - same same but different you could say. Also full size - easily fits double or queen size bed. Comes with optional queen bed with as new mattress (3 months old, only 1 user). Good condition carpet, separate ducted heating and cooling vents, louvre window with frosted glass / holland blind / flyscreen, double panel mirrored sliding door BIR's, and all utility points built in (electricity, pay tv, phone, TV antenna). Everything in working order and undamaged. **PLEASE NOTE** The first bedroom is available indefinitely, the second bedroom is available from November 29 until roughly the middle of February (exact date TBC) when Madeline will return from her Summer work placement. In regard to furniture for the room, we can provide the beds as stated above, study desks, bedside tables, chests of drawers etc etc. If you happen to be a couple and already furnished that's also cool. If you're somewhere in between we're happy to offer what we can.
The house is fully furnished and newly renovated. It's conveniently located off North Road, 2 train stops to Monash Caulfield, 20min by train to Melbourne CBD. Bus 630 right outside the house direct to Monash Clayton or Brighton Beach. 4min walk to Bus 625 direct to Chadstone Shopping Centre. Walking distance to large supermarkets, numerous restaurants, KFC, McDonald's, banks, post office, etc. Split water, electricity and gas. Unlimited free wi-fi. Available from December 26th 2016

Hi there, I'm a 24yo female student, doing a master's degree at Monash and the course is due for completion in this December. So I will soon become a young professional. I'm a friendly, respectful and considerate person and well-trained to share the house with others, which means I don't make mess or leave dishes in the sink for five days or make noises at night etc and I would expect the same from you. I like my home to be clean, so sharing housework and keeping the place clean and tidy is very important. I enjoy having quiet time at home, doing my own things, such as reading or studying, so party houses or households having too many visitors are my type. But of course, I would love to have a chat or watch TV with my housemate(s). I'm hoping to move in January or February 2017. It could be either a room in an existing share house or teaming up to start a new one, preferably with people of a similar age. Lastly, as I have a car, having a spot for my little runabout is essential. If you find I may be the one you're looking for, please feel free to drop me a message or ask me any questions : ) Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Jessica
