Hi, So little about myself, I’m originally from Switzerland but lived in the US for over 10 years. Been in Brisbane for 4 years now and will be graduating in July from QUT and then will be working full time. I’m currently working full time so really like to enjoy the weekends by going/hosting some bbqs and also lots of hiking and camping. Im also a great cook and enjoy heading to markets to get my dinners and lunches. I’m really laid back but definitely looking for a cleaner house to move into. I have all my own furniture so not looking for a furnished room, I pretty much also come with a kitchen which if not needed I can store somewhere else. I also have a huge BBQ i would like to take along if you don't already have one and some plants (mostly chilies and herbs). If you think you got a place I'm interested in send me a message and let's grab a drink to see if we all get along well. Looking not for just a place to live but also some friends.
Hi, we are a lovely couple in our early thirties. I am a full time student doing a Master Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at UQ, St. Lucia Campus. My partner works at an Italian restaurant in the CBD. We are friendly and easy going. We are looking for a shared house with like minded people preferably in West End/South Bank/Milton to move in around last week of January. Please text me if you are looking for the same. Cheers, Mong
I'm an international full-time student from Dubai starting at UQ in Semester 1, 2017 (Environmental Management). I was studying in the US (Chicago) before. I'm super tidy and clean (like keeping everything super clean but won't mind if it's not), and pretty decent at cooking too. Easy going, and always ready to help a friend. I am always respectful towards everyone and will give you your privacy. Doesn't mean I don't like to chill out and have fun. I love going out and playing sports. I play football (Soccer), badminton and Quidditch (no, i'm not kidding, it's a pretty serious sport!), and good at picking up other ones too. Love spontaneous adventures and ready to walk/hike any and everywhere. I'll be new to the city and the country, so I would like to explore a lot during the weekends provided I have the time. Always down to watch a movie or tv show. Join me for small adventures if you want! :D I don't mind living with anyone, so if you have a room to offer or are looking to team up, Hit me up! :) (That was two too many "up's") PS - 260 is my upper budget but I would be really happy with anything cheaper. The closer it is to the university the better it would be.
Hi there! My name is Aden, I am 23 years old and work full time in the city as an Accountant (exciting, I know!). I'm friendly, tidy and respectful and am looking to move into a place before January 2017. Location is not too important, as long as there is public transport into the city. I'm very easy going and have a keen interest in health and fitness as well as being passionate about English Premier League Football. Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Aden
Clean and tidy, I have a clean as you go mentality. I enjoy hanging out with my housemates, and hope to find a place where you're not just people I share a house with but friends I share a home with. I do however spend a bit of time in my room and keep to myself so I'm not going to be in your face but happy to do dinners together (I can't cook, be prepared to eat raw unflavoured food, I apologise in advance) or casual drinks at home on the weekend. I'm a first year accounting student at QUT, I'm currently doing 2 units over summer - kill me, why did I do this to myself? I also have a border collie puppy so we need a pet friendly share house with a large fenced backyard (preferably tall fencing, as I think she's going to be an escape artist). Mia is currently 5 months old, she's a clever little monkey and wins everyone's hearts. It would actually be fantastic if there was another dog to share with too. A bit more about me... I'm Irish Filipino, grew up in PNG but have been in Brisbane for 18 years so technically I really grew up here! I go to the gym several times a week, I have been recovering from a few injuries lately so it's kept me at home. I'm the type of person that will push myself at the gym but later go home and eat an entire pizza.. I have no will power. If you eat clean, please show me your ways lol I'm single...I don't want to live with couples or single 40+year old men, nor families. Just like-minded people my age that are dog friendly would be amazing :)
Heya, we are two best friends from NZ who moved over to Brisbane in July this year to work and study. We are very easy going and down to earth gals who are looking forward to meeting some new people! We love the outdoors, play and watch all kinds of sport, enjoy socialising and having a few drinks on the odd weekend, but also like our downtime and keeping to ourselves. Please get in touch if you're looking for a team up or think you have the rooms for us! Looking forward to hearing from you :D Cheers, Courtney & Nicole
Prefer to share with only 1-other person and have own bathroom. I'm a minimalist who likes to live without clutter. I am quiet, respectful of others people's property and privacy. Non-smoker, non-musician, no children and have no pets. I'm prefer the quiet life and am not a party animal. Love dogs but allergic to cats. Professional freelance graphic designer who works occasionally from home. Looking to study chemistry in 2017. I like cycling and need storage for two bikes. I also enjoy travelling and hiking. It'd be nice to share with a like-minded person who values good health and wellbeing.
I am a postgrad medical student studying in UQ and am currently actively looking for a place closer to the hospitals. I am mostly quiet keeping to himself but sociable when things are happening. Normally I don't party. Never did drugs. Don't smoke. I am also tidy and cleans up after himself. I work as a casual online tutor with a lot of savings - enough to last me till I graduate in 3 more years and start being an intern, so rents and bills are never a problem. I also have my own car, so parking is essential (can be on or off street).
I've been renting for 5 years already, able to keep a place tidy. I'm able to cook, have my own furniture and am not too loud. I study engineering and science at UQ while also working part time. I'm looking for a place close to public transport with sociable and friendly people.
Hey how is it going ! My name is Sebastian, I'm a 23 y/o english student at UQ willing to get in a Master of IT. Currently living in a homestay house but willing to find a closer place to university as I'm staying for 6 months or even 2 years. I'm clean, calmed and outgoing. It would be awesome to find a share house with english speaking mates to improve my language skills but I'm opened to any opportunity.
Hi! My name is Rosie, I'm 21 and I am moving to Brisbane in January 2017 to start studying for a Bachelor of Design. I have been working in a high school Art Department in my hometown (Hobart) for the past 2 years, it was awesome fun but I am keen to experience uni life! I am great to live with because: I always pay my rent/bills on time, I clean up after myself and love being around people but am also fine doing my own thing In my free time I love drawing and making little arty things, relaxing in general, watching Netflix and going to the gym. I'm always up for a chat and love hanging out, but will also need some space to study :) I also love Harry Potter, cats, dogs and most nerdy things
Hey! I'm an international student from India, doing my Masters at UQ. Right now I'm on holiday at home, but I will be back in February. I'm just on here early to put my feelers out so that moving is easier for me when I get back :) I enjoy a beer every now and then, and spend most of my time on youtube. I'm pretty sociable (not much of a partier tho), and I'm super neat and friendly! I usually spend all day at uni, so I'd probably rarely be home. I also love animals, and would love to live in a house with a pet, but I'm super allergic to cats and dogs (it's the bane of my existence), so if you do have a fur baby, it's probably best I don't move in :( I love watching movies/tv with other people so if you're into that kinda thing, it'd be great! I'll watch pretty much anything (except old kung fu/wild west movies). If you think you'll have an availability by mid-February, please contact me so we can get to know each other! Thanks :)
Hi there! My current lease expires at the end of December and I'm going on a short holiday in January so I'm looking to move into a new place by mid-Dec. I'm an easy-going, friendly, and tidy housemate. Most of my time at home is spent relaxing, but I'm a student at UQ and work in hospitality so I'm not at home all day, every day. I'm not a party animal, but I do have a social life (haha) and enjoy getting together for a couple of drinks every now and then. If you've got any questions, please ask away! :)
I'm in my final stages of my Engineering degree, looking for a place to move out to. I've lived in Brisbane most of my life, so know my way around, and I seem to enjoy reading and gaming (the non-gambling variety). I am a bit of an introvert, but generally get along with most people.
Hey! We're a bunch of UQ undergrads who are looking for a 4th person to live with next year, close to uni and public transport. We don't party too much (getting close to finishing our degrees so studying takes up most of our lives) but we're always up for some sneaky drinks and we do like the bachelorette (rip courtney) and cool dog group and gymming and donald trump memes. Between the three of us, we already have plenty of the furniture a house needs (from previous sharehouses), but we'll always welcome any fab decor additions such as nice fake plants or funky rugs, but yes hit us up if you're interested! We would prefer to move after new years, but we're all really flexible and we can always sort something that'll suit everyone :)
Hey, my name is Jay. I work full time within the events industry so on weekdays I'm never around and on weekends I try to get out and about as much as I can. I'm a mature, friendly and clean person currently looking for accomodation around January 20th as my housemate is moving overseas.
I'm respectful and clean (besides my room on the occasion) as well as being out going and caring. I'm a musician, but I'll always consider everyone else when I play and mostly use my headphones. I love having conversations whether about conspiracy theories or vegans or just about anything in depth. I tend to be busy a lot of the time so I love to enjoy myself on the weekend, whether going out to the Valley or having some drinks at home. I smoke, but I'm also trying to quit and intend to fully quit but at that I don't mind being around smokers etc. Best thing about me as a room-mate if anything is I that I keep to myself and tend to be 'invisible' most of the time, but at that I promote others to come and talk to me or to chill with me. Just because I'm sitting in my room watching Netflix with my door shut doesn't mean you can't come tell me about how shit/amazing your day was...
I'm a 3rd year UQ undergrad who is very comfortable sharing and being a friendly housemate. I prefer a double/single room for myself and happy to give my part for cleaning duties as i am used to living in share houses. I am very easy-going and enjoy socializing but values privacy (study etc). I enjoy music + movies + games, anything that is relaxing.
Hi, Angus (right) and I (left) are looking for extra people to start a share house with! Angus is a Griffith student and will be studying at Mt Gravatt and I will be studying at UQ St Lucia, so ideally we'd be looking for somewhere that makes both of those campuses easily accessible. We've started to collect furnishings such as a TV, cooking equipment and small appliances, but depending on circumstances we would have to work together to either furnish a house/apartment or fill in the gaps of a furnished one, as cheaply as possible of course. Angus will be in Brisbane from the 1st of December and I will be moving down from Cairns around late January early February, this can be accommodated for if need be. Please don't hesitate to ask us any and all questions, we're both open and flexible and wouldn't mind a chat, sadly the dogs don't come with.
Hi there I'm a med PhD/ neuroscientist (super driven) recently back for the states, to help my folks through a transition. Now it's my turn. (House trained) I read a lot though I'm not really a homebody. I love to hang out, philosophise and have a bit of fun preferably with cool compassionate, empathic, humble, self aware, progressive, respectful people. I’m chill and easy going but passionate and engaged with the world. Life's about being positive and being able to talk to anyone no matter what their perspective but if you dont know who Donald Trump is or think he's a good thing, I'm just not the one for you. Troy
Hello stranger, I currently live in Paddington and work full-time in South Bank and am wanting to keep pretty close to South Bank for convenience purposes. I work in digital marketing and am quite creative. My lease is up end of Jan and everyone from the apartment is moving on. I have my own bedroom furniture. The apartment I'm in right now I found on flatmates a year ago. It's an epic place but everyone's moving on. More than happy to ask for references if that's your thing. A little bit about myself and my lifestyle... Full-time work keeps me busy and I love keeping fit. Bootcamp and gym take up quite a few morning/evenings during the week. I travel a bit with work and while the weather's warm I like to head coastal on weekends. I'm very social but with my hectic schedule also love my down time. I'm quite a chilled person and am open to negotiation when feeling out living with new people. I'm looking for people who have their own thing going on but are friendly and will be nice to come home to. If what I've written appeals to you, feel free to reach out. You can ask me anything. Sib :)
Hi, I am Megan. I am a Registered Nurse at RBWH. I work shift work, so I come and go at all odd hours. Interested in teaming up to find a new home/apartment with someone who is reliable and clean yet super chilled. I'm pretty laid back, always up for a chat. However I do have a bad habit when it comes to chocolate or anything sweet ☺️ Looking to move within the next month or whenever the right place pops up.
Hi my names Alex im looking to start up a new lease with 1 other person. Im looking for a quiet, relaxed and comfortable place to call home. I work full time night shift so im never home at nights except on the weekend. I am not a party animal although I am into a couple of quiet drinks at home on the weekend. I feel that I have a pretty good sense of humour, im fun to be around and Im that pretty easy to live with. Im flexible with move date. I just clicked whereever my finger landed. I am a single dad who has my daughter 5 days and 1 night a week (either saturday or sunday night). As such I am looking for a start up house or somewhere that I can have a room for her. I do not require the master bedroom so thats all yours. Get at me guys. Cheers.
I am a 20 years old female psychology student form Norway, and I´m going to be an exchange student at UQ next semester. I´m outgoing and like to meet new people, but I also like to just be by myself and watch netflix. When I´m not at school or working I like to hang out with my friends, go to the movies/concerts/bowling, play boardgames or any other fun activities. I´m a positive person and I also love being outdoors, hiking and seeing new places. I work at a restaurant and a café so I´m used to cleaning up after myself, and I respect others privacy. I like to get to know my roommates and do stuff with them, especially during the evening, like play games and drink a beer/glass of wine.
I'm a clean, tidy and considerate housemate. I enjoy a drink occasionally but not after a "party" house. I'm looking for housemates that like to chill out and chat in the evenings. I'm 33 and looking for housemates of a similar age. :)
I'm quite shy but once I get to know someone, I generally become fun and bubbly person to be around. I'm moving because of study and a new environment, I want to start fresh. I've only ever worked in Cafés and McDonalds. I'll be looking for retail jobs or waitressing/bar-work while I live in Brisbane. I'll be doing a bridging course at Mount Gravatt TAFE (Screen and Media) and will hopefully be attending QUT (Bachelor of Creative Industries) in 2018. Ideally looking for a place to stay longer than 6 months. During the days I'll either be studying, working or most likely keeping to myself. I'd love to live with someone I can get along with socially but I'm still rather independent and respect everyones privacy. But overall I'm really excited for the move and hope to find some like minded gal(s) to live with while I'm there. Looking to move in at any point in January as I'll be starting my study on the 30th of Jan. My budget is a maximum of $200 per week. I'm looking for a room or flat that is unfurnished as I have all of my own furniture for my own room and plan on bringing it all with me (Bed, drawers, bookcase, side tables, desk, etc.) Furnished share homes/apartments are cool, so long as the room I'll be shacking up in has space for all my stuff 😅
Hello! I'm a 2nd year pharmacy student looking for a room or a group of people to stay in beginning from Feb 2017. I'm from Singapore and will be 24 really soon :( I am a nice and easy-going person who generally is respectful of personal space. However, i do like to go for drinks from time to time. I am also a clean & tidy person to live with.
We are both 23, both work full time (Brennan is a structural landscaper & I manage a cafe/bar in highgate hill). I love art, photography, reading, cooking & having the odd beer. Brennan is a downhill skateboarder. We are saving up to go overseas in April so he can race in the 2017 world circuit. We are both pretty chilled, love sharehouses because you can socialise with other people but still get your own space & time to yourself. p.s I do smoke but I'm more than happy to do that outside :) x
We are young couple working part-time and studying at QUT! We are looking for similar-aged, like-minded singles or couples who are preferably studying or doing similar things so that our schedules don't clash. We like to entertain and are looking for people who want to socialise also, but will all respect each others' space particularly when people are working and studying! Preferably looking for a house in any area as long as the city is reasonable accessible! Preferably pet-friendly as we have a lovely Kelpie pup named Cassie who we would want to bring along :) We are looking to move out around the New Year period, however are also open to move later into January and February if necessary! Message us if you are interested!!
I'm a Singaporean currently finishing off my studies at QUT and hoping to start working full time next year. I love cooking and baking so if you stay with me, you'll get to try my creations! :D Personality-wise, I'm very easy-going and friendly. I like to chat (but I won't bother you if you're busy). Also, I don't smoke or drink and I try my best to be quiet and considerate. My hobbies include watching American/British dramas, playing video games and drawing digital art. I love cats and dogs so if you have a pet, I would be totally cool with that!
I like to keep busy, spending my time at uni, work or the gym. I am friendly but understand space and can keep to myself. Currently, in Mackay working full time over the Christmas break and will be returning to Brisbane in February for my second year at UQ studying Communications.
I'm a marine biology student into yoga, swimming and diving. I love dogs but am unfortunately allergic to cats =( . I'm not really a party-person, but I enjoy a good feed and some drinks with friends. Clean and respectful and responsible with rent and bill payment.
I am a 20 years old Hungarian girl starting my secodn year of law school in 2017 at Griffith Nathan Campus. I am looking for a home and friendly, open minded, enthusiastic flatmates who would like to share their lives and who do respect personal space as well - just like I do :) I am clean and like to keep the house tidy. I love pets and plants, good food and big laughs :) My boyfriend is a Brisbane boy, 20 years old as well, doing flight training to be a pilot and he would be a frequent visitor but not a permanent housemate (yet at least ;) ). I love to go for walks and occassional runs, also to go to the gym often. Cooking and baking is one of my favourite activities (expecially in the exam period...).

Hi, I'm a full time student studying zoology. I've just moved to Queensland from Sydney and will be starting at UQ next semester. I would love to find a home with people that love to share a chat over a meal and a drink (or 5). I'm very clean and respectful and pretty easy going. I would love to hear from anyone that thinks I might make a good addition to their house :)
Apprentice Electrician. Very easy going and good sense of humour. Looking forward to finding great house mates and even better friends
Hey guys, i am a student looking for a room in Brisbane. I tend to keep to myself but am up for drinks and a chat on the weekends. i am clean, tidy and easy going. love to cook and garden and gym time haha. i love adventures to the beach and into the mountains. am planning on moving to Brisbane in January 2017. thanks.
I'm an international student from the UK, currently studying at UQ and living in West end. Going travelling for the summer so will be back in Bris mid jan, then off again to somewhere I am still yet to decide. Hoping to find somewhere to live in Feb time. Leaving Brisbane end of June/July, so a 4/5 month lease would be ideal! Looking for a furnished room, rent under $180 in West End, South Brisbane, Highgate hill, Dutton park or Toowong! I do smoke lightly but am hoping/aiming to quit very soon :)
Jon is a full time student studying Chemistry at QUT. Thienna is completing Travel and Tourism studies at TAFE and will be working part time in the industry. We are friendly, tidy and reliable! We love to cook, watch strange movies and listen to all-the-music. We spend most of our time studying so you probably won't hear from us much but we're always up for friendly banter or some DNMs. We're very relaxed and all we really want is to live with people who clean up after themselves and won't eat our food! Ideally we would like a big room with our own bathroom and somewhere not too far from the city. Our budget combined is $250 max a week. Thanks for your interest :)
Two friends who have lived together before, one coming back from exchange in Canada and the other returning from a summer job in Darwin, looking for some new friends to live with! We'll be heading back to Brisbane at the start of February to start our 3rd year studying at UQ, whilst working part time. We're clean people and respect each other's personal space but, that being said, we would be keen to share meals, a Netflix account and a bottle of wine or 3 as well!
Ola Amigos, I'm a Canadian university student studying at UBC in Kelowna, B.C. (our sunny version of Aus!) and will be going on an exchange to UQ from February-June 2017. Of course that means I'll need a place to stay, hopefully near the St. Lucia campus. I'm a clean, respectful roommate with a love for pets if you have one. My hobbies include photography with my 6D (which only amount to insta posts but whatever), going to the gym, rockclimbing, and other versions of schoolwork procrastination. I'm currently studying zoology and work as a game producer, webcasting sports games live. Happy to live with any gender (+gender fluid) so feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
I'm currently doing a gap year in the Air Force and next year I plan to study full time at UQ and work in the Reserves. I'm really easy going and I've gotten pretty good at communal living this year! I'm a clean and friendly housemate and I'm looking for a sharehouse where I can make some friends and get to know Brisbane.
I'm studying veterinary science at UQ in Gatton, and work at a vet clinic on weekends. I'm originally from Melbourne, and I have been living in Gatton since moving to QLD. I'm looking forward to moving to Brisbane and being able to have a life again! I'm easy going and fairly social, but I enjoy relaxing at home just as much with a movie and good company. I'd like to be able to have friends over for dinner and drinks sometimes, and I'd love to meet new people. I bring my dog Caribou as a bargaining chip, he's a playful 2 year old Border Collie, and he always keeps me entertained. I'm also gay so I would like to live with people who are comfortable with that.
I am a student from New Jersey in the US. I am studying abroad for Semester 1 at UQ and am hoping to find reasonably priced living during my stay. I am a very respectful and clean roommate. I am intend on traveling as much as I can while I am in AUS so it would be cool to have roommates that would want to do that as well! I am really laid back and outgoing person and love getting to know new people. I hope I can be a good fit for you and your place!
I'm very neat and work full time 9-5 Monday to Friday. I like to relax on my weekends and not much of a party animal, in saying that I still like hanging out and having fun!
Hello, Canadian female coming to Brisbane in February 2017 to start a Graduate program in Counselling at UQ! I'm looking to either team up with others and find a brand new place or move into an already-existing household! I'm clean and respectful, but I'm also looking to meet new people, so I would love to move in with individuals who are social and who enjoy going out for drinks or new experiences. I know I'm probably a little early posting this but I'm a planner! Message me if I seem like a good fit as a roomie.
International Student born in Hong Kong raised in Vancouver, Canada studying at the University of Queensland for my Master of Physiotherapy. I have been a practicing kinesiologist for the past 2 years before getting in my program. I am tidy and very easy going person that absolutely loves the outdoors. I enjoy playing various sports especially basketball, but apparently netball is the more common sport in Oz.
We're both people who like to keep things clean and orderly. We like to have roommate hangouts. We like board games, movies and just being chill with everyone. One of us is still studying in university while the other is starting work after having recently finished university. We would like to have house meals (cause we'll be doing that, and the more the merrier) and to support and be there for each other as roommates (and hopefully as friends down the road). Our criteria for a location is somewhere that isn't far from public transport to CBD area and within walking distance to a Coles/Woolies/Aldi. We're okay with moving anywhere within 2-3 zones out from the CBD, so our list of locations definitely does not cover everywhere. Our max budget per person would be $150 per week max (hence $300 in the listing) though our ideal amount would fall somewhere around 100-120 per week. We would like it best if utilities and internet are included in the rent amount or at least add up to our max amount. We don't have pets but wouldn't mind living with pets so long as they are being taken care of properly.
We are Architects from India recently moved to Brisbane. We are a friendly jolly couple who prefer cleanliness and hygiene.
