Hey future flatmate 😇
We’re João (20, Brazil) and Hailyn (24, Taiwan) and we’re looking for a place that we can call home! Im studying Carpentry at TAFE Queensland for the next 2 years, and Hailyn works as a barista. We’re looking for a long-term rent close to the city, or within 30 minutes if public transport is convenient.
About us:
We’re early birds and both work in hospitality, with me also working in construction while studying. We love cooking and often make meals together, learning how to surf 🏄 and outdoor adventures, and also like date nights at home. We’re friendly, curious, and respectful, and we can adapt to both social and peaceful house environments.
About our ideal place:
We’re looking for a spacious house or apartment where we can cook, relax, and occasionally have friends over. A gym and Pilates studio nearby is a plus. The place should have at least one parking spot, as I have a car. We’re happy sharing with 3–5 flatmates and would love a clean, tidy, and friendly environment.
About our flatmates:
Our ideal flatmates are in their 20s, open to chatting, cooking or having dinner together, but also respect each other’s space. Cleanliness and tidiness are important to us.
Budget:
Up to $500/week for city options, or $400/week for places a bit farther but still convenient by public transport.
Our moving date is 15/02, maybe a little earlier or later. We’ll both be traveling from March until mid-April, so it would be great if the place could be sublet during that time, but we’re totally fine if that’s not possible.
