Hi, i'm coming from Paris and i will be studying landscape design at rmit for the next 5months. I m an easy going person, respectful, clean, and i enjoy sharing, as having some privacy. Will be happy to hear from you
Originally from Perth but been in Melbourne for 2 years and think of it as home now! Just finished a film degree so love film-making and watching films as well as being creative in general and making clothes, jewellery etc… also do pole and burlesque dancing. Love drinking wine and going out to gigs and art shows and all that but keep things pretty chill when I'm at home and am respectful of the other people I live with. Really hoping to find a place where I can be friends with the people I live with and make it feel like home. Bonus if you have pets!
Hi I'm Chantal, I'm from Melbourne, I love alcohol but I'm not a huge partier as I do work nights - I work as a cocktail Bartender in Fitzroy, I love my job so much I'm wanting to move closer for it. I've worked in hospitality for over 7 years so I'm trained to be a bit of a neat freak - there will never be a worry about my cleanliness. I've lived out of home for about 3 years now so I understand how it all works and am house trained. I'm a quite person, I work night shift (my past room mates rarely noticed when I was actually home) - I'm not much of a partier because of work but I do enjoy a beverage or few and have a great alcohol collection. I enjoy focussing on my health and fitness, I love cooking and going to the gym and reading.
I’m 21 and have recently finished my bachelor in liberal arts and sciences in Amsterdam and I will be starting my studies in medical science at the Uni of Melbourne. I’ve spent 4 months living in Sydney working part-time and have lived alone during my studies in Amsterdam so I am on the ball with paying rent and doing my share of chores and dinner-making etc. at home. I’ve played the violin and viola for 10 years and love going to gigs and discovering new musicians, discovering incredible food places around town and running. While I love being out of the house and staying busy, I enjoy nights in with some good company, good music or movie and of course food and drinks!
Hi, I'm studying my Masters of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. Currently looking for a place to call home. I'm from the Gold Coast and spent a week driving down the east coast on the way to Melbourne. I'm a bit of an artist, so you can expect me to set up an easel and canvas somewhere around the place. Other than that I don't take up much room. I'm quite the nomadic character, and I've spent about a year in Nepal and India. In 2016 I was in Myanmar, Thailand and went on university related trips to Japan and India (for the second time). Looking to settle in Melbourne and focus on my studies. I'm interesting in everything, but my passion in life is art and design.
My name is Roman, 27 years old and originally from Burma (Myanmar). I've just finished a degree in Engineering back in UK, and moved to Melbourne to find a graduate job and start a new life. I am super tidy and respectful person who likes hanging around and have a drink sometimes. I love cooking healthy meals and watch TV shows in my spare time. I am currently working at Crown Casino as a Bartender (4-5days per week). Roman.
I'm a relaxed and tidy individual; enjoy my space but also enjoy co-working, sharing meals or just hanging out. I sometimes like to go to gigs too. I have a Bachelor Degree in Music and play guitar and bass; I usually have a few musical projects on the go at any time. Sometimes I go busking in the CBD and play gigs with a band. I work part time as a bartender at the Melbourne Recital Centre and am halfway through a Psychology Post-Grad. I really enjoy gardening, reading, cooking and listening to music in my spare time when I'm not playing. I live a humble existence and am always open to learning new things. I'm keen to team up with people who are looking for a new house. Ideally we'd all be creatively swayed into different artistic disciplines so we can bounce ideas off each other. Looking for people who would be interested in getting involved in multi-disciplinary collaborative projects and who would want to keep the house as an evolving entity. I have a lil cat named Pepper who would ideally be moving with me. She's a nutter at times (mostly dinner times) but is super affectionate and independent.
Hi! I'm a friendly, positive, low key housemate. I aim to contribute warmth and care to the home and express a generous spirit whenever I can. I'm into nature and love to be outside, so if you're looking for someone to contribute to the garden or even get one started, that is me! Very respectful of diverse needs and flexible to create a wonderful and harmonious home with my housemates. I value clear, honest and respectful communication. I work a few jobs but my main field is disability and arts. Am 34 years old (but have friends ranging from their 20s to their 60s!). Non-smoker. Have car. Good with cleaning. For fun, I go hiking and engage in a range of creative hobbies. I tend to spend my weekends out of the house. I'm also working on a writing project, so looking for a generally quiet home - at least in the day time. Please feel free to ask any questions! Much appreciated. Best, Tan. + I LOVE kids but for now, am looking for a home with adults. This isn't a strict rule, however! + Also open to converting an old shed or bungalow into a liveable state!
Heya! My names Jayden and I'm 20. I've recently moved to Melbourne from New Zealand for 6 months to a year for a working break before I return home to complete an arts degree in Anthropology. I'm a real genuine and friendly bloke, always down to meet new, beautiful souled, like minded people. Hit me up if you're looking for someone whom: - Is super friendly and a good conversation - Is a lover of all peoples - Always down for a cheeky beer and a yarn - Loves a good boogie - Is into good tunes - Is someone who can provide hugs at the best of times - Can also provide a pretty smile for you every morning - Can move in whenever suits - And is an overall chill dude There's a lot more to me than that, I just find it really hard putting myself into words. But If I sound like someone you could live with, give me a buzz.
Hi! I am a 29 (soon to be 30) year old female from San Francisco. Don’t worry, I dislike Trump too, and if you don’t maybe we shouldn’t be roommates ;) I moved here a couple months ago and the room I have been renting will soon no longer be available. I work for myself as a Fashion Designer and started my own label almost a year ago; I also do Photo Retouching (image editing/photo manipulation in Photoshop). My usual routine includes working from a café during the day, yoga, and I either tango or salsa dancing. I like to eat pretty healthy and usually a vegetarian diet and am a non-smoker. I am clean and have a steady income so rent will not be an issue. I keep pretty busy and focused on growing my brand but I also enjoy my socializing. I plan to be here at least a year, possibly longer. If this sounds like it could be a good fit please let me know, if my lifestyle isn’t your jam no harm no foul! I look forward to meeting you and checking out the place! Cheers! Brie
Hi there, I'm Sandra and I'm 38. I have just moved from QLD to Melbourne and I am looking for a new comfy and tidy place to call home. As Portuguese, I love my food and a good wine/beer. I'm also very easy going and I love a nice talk along with a good laugh.
Hey guys! I'm on a look out for a long term room available from the 1th of March (or later) preferably around northcote/fitzroy north/thornbury/brunswick/east. I'm 27 years old, and I am starting my PhD in Social Sciences at La Trobe University (Bundoora Campus). It is 4 years program, so it would be nice to find housemates I could call friends:) I'm very chilled, vegetarian, clean, love yoga, travelling and cooking. I love a drink of wine and a chat every now and then but can also respect personal space. I come from Poland, however, I already lived in Melbourne for 11 months (W&H). I went travelling SE Asia for few months, then visited my family in Europe and now I'm back in this beautiful city :) I have lived in many countries before (lots of stories to tell)! I preferably need something furnished, or at least with a bed as I don't currently own any furniture over here. I'm looking to live in a house with a garden/ backyard, so not very keen for apartment. Unfortunatelly I am allergic to cats. However I love dogs, so if you have one I can even take care of him sometimes! Please me know if you have anything available!! xx
Hi! We're an Australian/Canadian couple who were living in London but our visas expired so now we're in Australia looking to settle somewhere in North Melbourne! We've lived in sharehouses in the UK and Canada, and are very house-trained :)
Hey I'm 22 and have just moved from Perth. I've lived in sharehouses for the past 5 years, and am really clean and easygoing. I study naturopathy full time and work part time.
I'm moving from Far North Queensland to Melbourne for a new job, so I need somewhere to live! I'm someone who is happy staying in and watching movies or going out on an adventure. I'm happy to hang out, but also respectful of space. If you have pets that's okay with me because I love animals. Please feel free to message me if you think you might have a place for me.
Hi, my name is Andy. I have just moved to Melbourne and I am studying paramedics at ACU in Fitzroy. I am pretty social and I'll be working, studying and playing soccer. I am looking for a house ASAP or in the next little while. I am a considerate person who respects peoples privacy but don't get me wrong I love to be social. I am an outgoing person, a few of my hobbies being soccer, surfing and yoga. I am a considerate person who respects peoples privacy but don't get me wrong I love to be social. G'day! I am Bram (25 yo) from The Netherlands. My story in short: After finishing my Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering followed by a working year, I found it too obvious and not adventurous enough to continue my working career in The Netherlands. Let's try 17,000 kilometers beyond: Straya! During my studies the past 7 years I have always lived in social shared student houses in both The Netherlands and the US (did a part of my degree in the US). I really like the social thing about living together: hanging around, have some beers, nonsense talking, sharing your irritations of that day with dinner, etc. Hence, I would prefer to live in a social vibrant shared house. I am entering Australia on a working holiday visa, however my goal is to stay here for a couple years and find a sponsorship for an engineering job. Although I know everyone is describing themselves with the same keywords I am still gonna do it ;). I am easy going, I feel myself most comfortable in social surroundings, I have a work to live mentality and I have a lot of diverse interests. About my interests: I am a football addict, the round ball version to be clear. Furthermore, I like music. I play saxophone myself and I often go to music festivals. Hooroo!
My name is Tara, I am a 24 year old professional business writer working in the CBD. I moved to Melbourne 1 year ago for work from the Gold Coast, and I have moved 6-7 times (every 3-4 months) due to not being entirely comfortable with my housemate choices. I am looking for a roommate and a friend to spend the evenings and weekends with (not all the time haha) I love to cook and be active on the weekends but enjoy a glass of wine most nights! Please call me. I am wanting this next move to be my final move so I am very interested to meet you :) Thanks
Hi all, Looking for a place on the north side that is available now. One of my friends (25) is also looking, so if you have more than one room available please get in touch. I'm a second-year master's student and part-time retail lackey. Into cycling, cooking, reading and being gay. Cheers, Oscar
Hey I'm Dan, 22, full time employed in financial services, pretty extraverted. I'm relatively new to Melbourne and looking to move near the CBD. Would love to find one or more cool housmates. I like Great food, beer, wine & whisky and I'm told I'm excellent company to binge watch nextflix and drink cheap wine with. If your a fan of Doctor Who, Game of Thrones or South Park that's already a great start. I'm pretty chilled out, like to keep a clean place. I don't have any gender or cultural preferences on who I live with, as long as your friendly and good company I'm we will get along great. Also somewhere with a car park would be great.
I'm 32 and currently work in hospitality (around 35-40 hours a week around the city) - occasionally I work a couple of late nights per week. I'm relatively new to Melbourne (12 months) and am currently living in the Northcote but need to vacate at the end of the my lease (10th March), although I can move out earlier if necessary. I'm sociable and friendly but also respectful of other people's privacy. I have a great group of friends here in Melbourne but am always open to meeting new people. I'm a fairly relaxed person (except when I'm driving on Melbourne roads!) and I just enjoy friendly people with a sense of humour. No food requirements. I generally shop for myself but communal items I have no problems sharing. I have a TV and television stand, plus fridge and microwave. The white goods could be stored in the short term if they are not needed.
G'day! My name is Hans, and I'm 21 year-old viking from Denmark who's very interested in finding a place. I've been having fun in Melbourne for about 3 months now and I'm loving it here! I work as a waiter/bartender at Riverland Bar. I'm very open to meeting new people and love going out to see awesome stuff, everything from hiking and biking to concerts or festivals. Additionally, i speak fluent banter. I've lived abroad in Singapore for 8 months and stayed in hostels around Asia for another 9 months, so I definitely know the importance of respecting privacy and cleanliness. These trips abroad have made me quite mature for my age as well. Anyway, I'd love to meet up for a chat or go for an inspection, i'm sure it'll be great! See you soon Hans
I'm a 32 year old Pilates instructor and lapsed graphic designer who has recently moved home to suffocating, small town Brisbane after a 3.5 year stint living in Hackney, London. I'm an easy going kinda gal into all the usual things such as art, music, travel, food, wine, dogs, hating Trump etc etc. I'm looking to find some easy going, like minded housemates who may turn into some great pals or at least acquaintances that know how to use a sponge. I'm also good with a sponge, can whip up a Pescatarian friendly meal, pet friendly (dog obsessed) very independent and happy to do my own thing but always up for a wine/beer/cuppa and a chat. Although I'll be new to Melbourne (half of Brisbane has moved there let's be honest) I do have some friends down there already so no babysitting is required but I would love to meet some new people through my housemates and potentially build some sweet new friendships. My wild party days are well and truly behind me (did they ever really exist?) but I do still love a good gathering of friendly folk. I'm also up for checking out all Melbourne has to offer so anything cultural (exhibitions, dance performances, gigs) op shopping and market visits I'll be down for and always happy to have company. I'm also excited to explore the rest of Victoria and have a functioning vehicle in order to make all the road trips happen, all the time *pending my cars ability to make it down to Melbourne in one piece. Although I'm still in Brisbane currently, I have functioning phone and internet if you'd like to organise a chat or a Facetime or the likes. I will also be down for a visit next Tuesday-Thursday (28th Feb - 2nd March) So happy to pop in for a visit then. Anyhoo if you'd like to know more please feel to get in touch. Looking forward to meeting my new Flatmates very soon! Luisa :)
I've been house-sharing in Melbourne for the past 6 years and I like for a house to feel like a home. This usually comes down to the people in it! I'm extremely friendly, approachable and open minded. Once you know me I'm also playful, observant, cheeky, empathetic, and almost no topic of conversation is off-limits. After a big day of socialising I'll probably chill in the courtyard (with any luck, where I live will have one) with a book on my own for a little bit to recharge. I am 'house trained' as in I treat things with respect, ask first if I'm ever using someone else's stuff and clean as I go - I'd like my housemates to value the same mantra. I'm not a huge party goer so it wouldn't make sense for me to team with anyone who is! Bitching, judging, preaching, passive-aggressive nonsense etc. all don't bode well with me and I wouldn't stick around for it in a house enviro. I'm all about the live and let live life. I enjoy reading, music/gigs, exploring, watching movies/TV series, hiking, camping, exercising (irregularly, of course) and a bunch of other things but I sure don't need my housemates to have the same interests :) I'm looking for somewhere in the following suburbs: - Brunswick/Brunswick East - Parkville - North Melbourne - Northcote - Collingwood - Fitzroy - Richmond - South Melbourne My preference will be at a place with amazing people, but it's also a priority for me to be walking or cycling distance to a market/supermarket. I don't have any pets but a household open to them would be ace as I'm keen on adopting a cat. A house with a no pets rule, however, is not a deal breaker.
I work in the speciality coffee industry. I love being social but I also love my own time. I make a bit of music in my spare time and I also come with netflix. I always make sure in a sharehouse situation I am considerate, clean, always pay rent and bills on time.
Hi, I'm a 22 year old English female. I have just recently returned to Melbourne (THE BEST CITY EVER) I work full time in the cbd. I am a very clean and tidy person with not to much baggage! I'm pretty chilled and respectful always interested in doing fun new things round the city or just watching films with a glass of vino. Thanks!
Hey I'm Chris, a 26yo audio engineer/music & video producer originally from Wellington, NZ, who's making the move across the ditch. I'm a social, friendly and respectful guy, and I love to hang out and go on adventures as much as I like working on my own music or video projects in my spare time. I'm searching for a flat in central Melbourne where I will be looking to work in the audio/AV industry. Would love to hear from you, cheers!
Hello :) my lease is up in Windsor and I'd like to move closer to my business in Richmond as I'm so over the insane traffic around Windsor!! I'm a professional employed full time (have my own business), very fun but equally hard working, clean and reliable. Excellent with money and happy to take over looking after the bills as I currently do. I pay rent early and I'm very house proud. I need a large bedroom with built in cupboards, preferably with an ensuite if a three bedroom house. I don't eat meat at home but I do have a kitten so you need to be okay with meat in the fridge for her. I'm animal crazy and I'd love to live with people that have a backyard, hopefully a veggie garden or room for me to plant one. I'm spiritual in the sense of believing in treating others well and putting out positive energy into the world. No negativity thanks! I have a new couch, amazing fridge and LG washing machine which I need to bring with me. I have awesome kitchen gadgets too! Cold press juicing anyone? ;) I will also be bringing my 2 yr old GSP dog for weekend visits so you need to love dogs as he's a rescue and very sensitive. He needs to be around people that have amazing energy and love animals! I need off street parking please. Unless your place is close to Burnley St then I'll leave my car at work. Or if anyone would like to start up a new house get in touch! You must like animals, having a laugh and looking for a friend rather than just a flatmate.
My name is William 21 years old and I have recently moved here from Perth. Currently studying Interior Design at RMIT. Generally a quiet, laid back and chilled out kind of guy. But I am very clean, tidy and minimal. I love photography, arts, music and clothes. Always keen to explore new places since I am new to Melbourne.
Hey! Luke here, I’m looking to break free from suburban life and move to the inner north, so that I can be closer to work and maintain a social life that doesn’t require a hefty petrol bill and carrying a spare change of clothes in case of last minute festivities. I’m a friendly, outgoing guy who works full time in the city in tourism marketing. My interests include travelling, eating, socialising and sporadic exercise. I love all things food, and bear the basic skills needed to whip up a weeknight dish to share with everyone. I wouldn’t say no to a few drinks after work or some 30 Rock re-runs on the couch, but I’m also respectful of privacy and enjoy my own company. I consider myself to be very tidy, independent and organised. I’ve spent a semester abroad experiencing the shared environment. I don’t own a lot of furniture other than bedroom stuff, but will gladly contribute/chip in for some items if need be. If you’re after a friendly, easy-going housemate who brings both pasta and conversation to the table, get in touch!
We are two friends from NZ living and working in Melbourne. With what you could describe as the best addition to your sharehouse, we are tidy, clean, respective of privacy and mature. We both like to socialise but understand that each other's space is important. weekends we like to get out and about, enjoy some beer and music, but during the week we are quiet and respectful
I am looking for a room to live in while doing my exchange semester at the Victoria University. I am originally from Germany and studying sports at the German Sports University Cologne. I will fly over to Australia on February the 18th. Right now I am living in a flat-share with a boy and a girl, so I am very used to sharing the kitchen and the bathroom. I know how to do my cleaning duties and I will do my very best to keep the shared rooms clean and tidy. I like to have a nice little chat, a tea, some wine, a beer or a dinner together in the evening, but I also like to have some privacy, that is why i would prefer a personal room. In my freetime I like to do almost any kind of sports, especially football, running and climbing and I love to spend time outside the house, like going for a walk or having a coffe. I would describe myself as a curious, communicative and open minded person. Looking forward for your message! Vicky
Hey there! I'm a girl from Barcelona moving to Melbourne around the 15th of March to study and work for a year. I'm a 28 year old graphic designer very chill and easy going person looking to move in with people more or less the same age. I'm willing to pay $300 but can be flexible. I enjoy cooking with a glass of wine, good conversation, being outdoors and meeting new people. I'm clean and tidy and love any kind of pets. Non smoker!
I'm very open-minded, easy-going and uncomplicated. I love to cook 👨🍳 Since I have a job in Melbourne I can definitely pay the weekly rent. Furthermore I'm very respectful and a tidy person.
Hey! My name is Anja, I’m 22 and I’m looking for a room in a house/flat asap as per now I'm just extending and extending my stay at a hostel, and I'm not too keen on spending my semester here. My price range is preferably up to about $250 pw + bills, though I’m able to pay more as well. I’m also able to pay bond, and I'm reliable with rent. I’m looking for a place to call home whilst in Melbourne and would also like to hang out with you / cook dinner together / go out every once in a while if you're up for that. I’m not a heavy partyer, but I do like the occasional party. I have experience from shared living spaces and will happily take part in chores around the house/flat. I actually like vacuum cleaning and emptying the dishwasher / doing the dishes, so I’m happy to contribute extra with this :) Some more info about me: I’m from Norway and I usually study chemistry there, but I’m finishing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Melbourne this semester. I’m preferably looking for a furnished room, though unfurnished may also be alright. I’d like to rent a room until late June or sometime in July (whenever works for you). I love animals, music and travelling, and I’m a vegetarian (but it won’t be a problem for you). I obviously don’t have any household items to bring into a sharehouse, but I will happily buy / chip in for anything needed!
My girlfriend and I are both super chill, we like to cook meals together and have a few drinks together on an evening/weekend. I am from Byron Bay originally and Eliza is from the North of England and we've both been in Melbourne for around 2 years. Eliza is super into graphic design and works as a bartender in the CBD and I work full-time in wine sales, but play the occasional deep/tech house dj set at a few different venues. We are looking for a clean, chilled environment to make our home! We look forward to hearing from you 🙂
I'm a postgrad student at Melbourne Law School, I'm from Mexico, and looking for cool housemates to share a place with. I'm a friendly, outgoing, tidy, clean and respectful housemate, I enjoy brunch, tennis, tv series and movies, wine, cooking, traveling, have long walks and good talks. I'm planning on staying in Melbourne until April 2018, so I wouldn't mind be on a lease if necessary.
Hey there, I´m Carol from Germany, coffee addicted and an exchange student at RMIT (Psychology Masters). I would love to live with some nice people. I´m up to everything- If you want to hang out! I don´t mind to drink a glass of beer or wine or a cup of tee. I like to cook (healthy). I´m super clean & quiet in my room. In my free time I love to do some sports (like pilates, climbing etc.). Can´t wait to get in touch with you guys! Cheers, Carol
I am a 26 year old English teacher. I work full time, and am a clean and considerate housemate. I love to cook, garden and read. I am also into film and music. I like hanging out and sharing a meal or a drink but am quite happy to do my own thing as well. Looking for a relaxed house with likeminded people.
Hello ! We are Sam and Molly, we have been renting in Melbourne for 3 years, and living together for 1. We are pretty cruisy people who are neat and considerate of others. We both love cafes, coffee, music (triple j), travelling, dogs, Netflix and don't mind a wine or beer of a night time. We aren't into clubbing but do enjoy going to a bar or pub every now and then. Sam likes: AFL, Soccer, playing guitar (although not good at all), live music, and is partial to a game of FIFA. Molly likes: Live music, wine, yoga, heading to an exhibition every now and again, and trying to keep our herbs alive. We are looking to move into a place with another couple, preferably in the Fitzroy/Northcote area. Our current lease on the 18th or March, however we would like to have a place sorted before then. And would be more than happy for it to start earlier. Flick us a message and we can grab a coffee 😊
Hi I'm Clare, 28 from Scotland. I'm a social worker so work Monday to Friday 9-5ish. I'm very easy going and sociable. I enjoy a drink with friends at the weekend and love to go out but also love to chill out, watch a film and cook dinner at home too! Looking for housemates that are easy going, up for having a wine or two during the week or sharing the odd meal. I'm also a very respectful, clean and tidy housemate. Looking for a room to rent with a few other likeminded people! Hopefully hear from you soon :)
Hi everyone! My name is Emma, I'm 30 ( 31 in a few weeks ) and originally from NZ. I work full time in the city , 10-6 pm Iv been living in Melbourne for the last 4 years and don't see myself going home anytime soon! I'm tidy and mindful of others, always up for a chat and a glass of wine but also like a bit of quiet time here and there! On the weekends i'm normally out and about and during the week i try to keep it fairly low key, although there is always an exception here and there! Ideally i'm looking to make somewhere a home, not just a place with a bed!
I'm very clean and easy to get along with. I work for Vic Gov in the CBD Mon-Fri 8-4. I recently came out of a long term relationship and am looking to share a space with someone who is also generally clean, easy going and has a good sense of humor. I have been in Melbourne for 4.5 years, moved from Brisbane to enjoy this beautiful city. I don't party much but I do enjoy the odd drink every now and then. Love going for bike rides and trying to keep healthy.
Hi, I'm a student about to go into my second year of my bachelor of fine arts. As a housemate I'm generally very quiet and clean, but love cooking (not just for myself but for others). I'm very quiet during the week and spend a lot of time reading books or watching films, but I love to catch up during the weekends and socialise. :) I'm a vegetarian but have lived with both meat eaters and vegans so other peoples' food choices don't bother me! Also, I come with many houseplants. I'd love to live with other people involved in the arts, or other students but this isn't a necessity!
