Hello everyone! We are Álvaro and Alexandra, and we are a mid-twenties couple who've recently moved to Melbourne! We arrived a few days ago from Barcelona (Spain), our natal city. We’ve come to Australia as students to do an intensive English course and obtain the Cambridge English Advance. Alvaro is a nautical engineer and I’m a technical architect and artist, specialized in design and photography. For both, sport has an important place in our lives. Alvaro has been a professional waterpolo player since he was 8 years old and I was athlete during a lot of years in my live. But in general we like all kind of sports. We live together in Barcelona, and we like keeping the house clean and having good relationships with our flatmates. During free time we like going out with our friends and we really enjoy listening to music at home, festivals or wherever! As students we can work part-time, and although we have saved money to come to Australia, we want to find a job in the next days. We are a very active people and we want to know what it’s like to work in Australia! We need to find a place to live as soon as possible. For now, we will stay in Melbourne during 4 months, but our idea is to stay here at least 1 year. If you think that we can fit with you, let us know! Hoping to see you soon! Álvaro & Alexandra
Hey y'all. 24. Graduate engineer. I keep my head down during the week, but am a chatty fella who loves to get amongst it on weekends. If you're looking to fill a room or want to team-up, shoot me a message. Keen to arrange a meeting asap. Ta.
Hey guys, I'm Xuan. I'm super tidy, chilled, and open-minded. When possible, I love going to festivals/gigs. I'm very social and won't say no to a bev (or 7). In my spare time I enjoy watching terrible reality tv, exploring new places to eat (when I can afford it) and hanging out with mates. I'm looking for like-minded house mates I can get to know. Regardless, I definitely value my down time so I'll understand and respect your personal space! Also included in the package is a cute cat named Bochii. He mostly sleeps and is super affectionate once he warms up to you.
Hi! I’m Dannica, and I’m a Melbournian working full time in HR. I love live music, fitness and enjoying good food/coffee/wine with friends. I’m relaxed, clean and respectful. I'm friendly and social, but also enjoy my own downtime. Always down for good chat over wine and a cheese platter!
Hey there! I'm a creative writing student at La Trobe, working in Hawthorn as a salon assistant. I love art and spend a good deal of my spare time at home in my own space, painting and drawing. I also love yoga, learning guitar and Seinfeld is my go-to show. I appreciate a clean house and am very respectful. Message me if this sounds like I'd be right for your place or team up :)
Hello, I am uprooting from Sydney to Melbourne in a fortnight and will shortly thereafter like a steady roof over my head. By my own estimation, I'd say I'm quite well domesticated, easy going and organised - though it's difficult to gauge what else I could say to advertise myself on here... Any questions - ask away.
We are a fun easy going and happy couple that are always up for a laugh . We love socialising and meeting new people but alos need our own space sometimes and can respect other people’s need for that to. We are looking to be working full time so won’t be in the house very much and love spending our evenings and weekend’s keeping busy and exploreing. We like to keep a tidy and clean space and that goes for communal spaces as well so you don’t have to worry about us being messy .ye just generally easy going people to live ! :)
I'm easy-going, respectful, works full-time, I clean up after myself, and, most importantly, can reach things in tall spaces - which should be a really important thing to factor in when searching for a housemate! I'm a lover of all things acting, so that means I'll happily watch Netflix or check out a movie at the cinemas with you. Coffee is pretty neat as well! I'm from a large family so sharing is caring; I'm happy to share a meal or beer or two! I do enjoy the quality banter but don't mind discussing the woes of today's society every now and then.
Hey there! I'm a considerate, clean and easy going person who loves a great chat and an adventure - music, singing, names of capital cities and great ideas are top of the list ;) Originally from Sydney, I've recently come to Melbourne after 13 years in London. I'm ready for the next adventure.... I'm a marketer by day....
I'm Patricia, a spanish student working in hospitality. I've been In Melbourne since October, living in North Melbourne and now I'm looking for a single or share room, not too far from CBD (no more that 30 min by bike) where to live long time if it's possible. More about me... I'm 27 years old, vegetarian, non-smoker, quiet, friendly, responsible with payments, totally respectful with private space, easy going, clean and tidy. I love music, animals, Netflix, reading, traveling and climbing. In Spain I worked as therapist massage and osteopath. I would like to live with LGBT friendly people and house mates to talk and share some time would be nice.
Hello there. I am seeking a home to share with community minded, creative beings who are interested in co-creating a peaceful, harmonious, easy-going, tidy, respectful, loving and nurturing space together. I am currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and as well completing my Kundalini Yoga training program. My hobbies and interests are in : spirituality, philosophy, healing, well-being (meditation, yoga, nutrition, kirtan, natural therapies, etc..), conscious dance, sacred music, films, art, reading, being in nature, eating out, travel, singing and pretty much any workshop or book on self-development that allows me to learn more about myself, others and improve who I am as a person. I am honest, mature and respectful of others space, and also seeking the same from others. I am also drug and alcohol free, and would prefer a home of open, authentic, conscious connections and communication with one another. I am not fussed about living with others who enjoy a wine over a meal, but definitely not interested in a party house. I am interested in a quiet space where I can study, as well as, re-charge and unwind. I would enjoy a conversation, meal or outing with fun-loving housemates every so often. As well as a tidy space, where we all contribute in keeping the environment clean and tidy for all. A home near public transport services is a necessity, preferably train and tram services. An unfurnished room and additional storage space would be ideal. I am vegan and would prefer a vegan and/or vegetarian household. I have lived with meat-eaters before though that are respectful and understanding. I also volunteer in assisting with and marketing events within the conscious Melbourne community, as well as activism for the welfare and rights of animals. I am more than happy to live with cats, and the more the merrier :)
Hi, My name is Ariane and I’m 34yo, currently working in International Policy Monday to Friday. I’m a positive, enthusiastic person, always up for a good chat and laugh. I like to be friends with my housemates, share a dinner, a wine or beer, get to know them and what‘s going on in their lives. Not really into the whole hiding in your room. Of course I also appreciate my own time, not to mention respect others needs for it also. I'm tidy, considerate and enjoy a clean kitchen and bathroom and always contribute to household up-keep. I love cooking and I love wine and especially combining the two! I love going to gigs, hanging out with mates, having a good dance and anything out in the sun basically. Pretty much the same as any other human being really. I also come with some lovely potted indoor plants that all have names. I love trying new things and I like keeping generally very busy, until I don’t feel like being busy and my bed looks very comfy. Looking forward to hearing from you. Ariane
Hi All, Just moved to Melbs from Syd where I've been living the last year after I moved home from a 6 year stint in Copenhagen. I work in marketing, branding and strategic comms across fashion, design, art and education. I’m pretty out-going, social, like a chat, a wine with mates, etc. V respectful, esp about cleaning up and noise levels at 3am. I like going out, but also value sleep, and a clean, happy and healthy living environment. Generally a responsible adult (aka pay bills on time and keep house clean and tidy), but still young at heart and not 100% serious and settled down - yet 😉 I’m into all things art (have been to VGV Triennel 3 times already ;)) live music, love a good festival (off to Pitch this w/e), cooking (massive passion and will gladly cook housie meals anytime), reading and learning new things, wine, hunting for good vintage furniture and clothes whenever I get the chance and many other things. I’ve got a bunch of friends down here, and a pretty extended social network, but I’m looking to move into a house with people I don’t know, so I can get to know more people and build a bit of my own life. I’m out and about a lot, but like to idea of sharing meals, a drink at the pub etc with my housemates. Ideally I’d love to move in with people that if I have a friend over for dins, if my housies are around, it feels natural and easy for them to join in and vice versa. I like the idea of community and having a place to come home to where I can both hangout and interact, but also get space to relax and rejuvenate. If this sounds like a fit, let me know and I can come and meet you all / check out the room whenever suits!
Hej! We’re looking for one or two rooms in a shared house or a small apartment from approx. 19.03 till at least 30.11.2018. We (33/34 y/o) are social, lgbtiq-friendly, non-noisy and easy to get along with. We know how to clean after ourselves, are drama-free, have lived in shared houses for a decade. We are looking for a peaceful place with nice roomies that feels like home and would enjoy having meals together/hanging out, but we of course respect other people's privacy. We enjoy being outdoors, cycling, hiking, yoga, photography, crafting, sports, lindy hop, reading. Annie teaches at UniMelb and Sebastian will work part-time/work on his dissertation. Fitzroy/Fitzroy North/Carlton/Carlton North/Parkville/Collingwood/Abottsford would be nice, but we’re open to any area. Our limit is roughly 400AUD per week for the two of us incl bills. A furnished room would be great, but unfurnished might work, too. No smoking in the house, please. So if you have a room or know someone who does, shoot us a message! We'd love to drop by to have a chat whenever it suits you! Thanks! <3 Sebastian and Annie
I have my own home in Castlemaine so I like to take care. I'm looking for somewhere beautiful to live, that I can feel at home in, rather than feeling transient. I'm from Melbourne but have lived extensively overseas. I returned back to Melbourne in August 2017 and still finding my feet again in a town that's changed so much. I have had a couple of parking fines recently so settling back into the big smoke quite nicely thank you. I'm an Ayurvedic practitioner (Indian holistic medicine), do my own yoga thing so although I've learned how to balance it out with being a normal human, I keep a pretty moderate lifestyle comparatively - means I have a drink now and then but it's not my M.O. I'm a home vegetarian but not bothered by what others choose. I'm definitely not a smoker and would prefer a non smoker house mate. I haven't been doing it much lately but would like to get back into more adventurous cooking mode in the spirit of living a balance life. I'd love a great kitchen with space for spices and stuff. I have a dog so I keep things clean. But again, being a reasonable human always takes precendence. Bella is 9, I've had her 2 years from the RSPCA. She's amazing indoors, really chilled out. She's a kelpie/staffy cross so she just needs me to walk her everyday or she gets sooky. :) She's good with all other dogs except other kelpies (weird). And incredible with kids and a total suck to other adults. She's well mannered and I adore her. I am spending time writing for my online presence. I earn money doing odd jobs, with rental income, enough to keep the coffers available to make a living. My goal here is to create an online business and slowly work towards helping women in small creative businesses become more sustainable. It's a little bit pipe dreamy but I'm in love with it. I'd like to live with one other, preferably around my age or at least lifestyle, or a granny flat/studio set up. Thank you Sandra
Tidy, respectful, like to socialise and also have chill ones. Like to share dinners every now and then and hang out but respect others belongings and space. Exchange student from the UK at Monash Uni so study during the week and work in hospitality over the weekends mostly.
Helloooooo!! First up, the boring stuff: I'm a uni student studying languages and development studies, and I work in hospo so rent and bills etc are not a problem. I clean up after myself, do my fair share of housework, I've got my own furniture, and also some kitchen appliances to contribute to the household. I'm kinda sporty (I play hockey for Melbourne Uni, and I enjoy a bit of orienteering too), but I don't go for freakishly long runs every other day. On the fun side, I quite enjoy a beer or glass of wine over dinner, whether its at home or at the pub (love a good pub and beer garden), and I go to gigs and festivals whenever I can afford it. I enjoy the outdoors (although being in Melbourne without a car, that generally just means sitting in the back yard or walking along the Merri Creek Trail). I will happily re-watch GoT or HIMYM at any time and have a long list of tv shows I need to watch. Not the best dinner chef, but will happily supply homemade cakes, cookies and pickled veg! Also more than happy to live with any furry friends that you may have, especially if they're cuddly. Preferably 9 months to a year and happy to go on the lease if need be (would actually prefer it). I'm also flexible with move in date, doesn't have to be the end of March.
Sociable kiwi couple who have just moved here after spending the summer at home and a few years in London prior to that. Enjoy travelling, sports, good food and good people around us. I am a Nurse and my partner is a scientist. I am starting at the Royal Children's hospital this week. As I am a shift worker we would prefer a quiet house with considerate flatmates. We are neat and tidy, laid back and enjoy staying at home as well as getting out and about exploring new places when we are off work. Please get in touch if you think we may be a good fit at your place. Ideally we would like to live within 20 mins cycling distance to the Childrens hospital. Thanks for reading G & G :)
Hey, New to Melbourne. Really chilled guy, done lots of travelling in Asia, America Africa and Australia, so all the continents starting with A! And lots of Europe too! I'm very sociable but can make myself scarce if required. Keep myself busy with cooking, surfing, mountain biking and do like to go out for a few beers at the weekend. Not a house party guy, I'm all for going to them just not throwing them! Looking to move in to a flat share to make some friends and enjoy Melbourne!
Hello! A bit about me: A Newcastle gal who found her true home in Melbs. I have lots of random hobbies and keep pretty busy but love having a home I look forward to being in. Weekdays are pretty mellow, I'm up early and down the park, and in the evenings I'm often at yoga or acro. On the weekends I am an avid explorer. Workwise, I have a Science (enviro) background, and although I earn my keep riding the 9 to 5, I'm working toward the ellusive travel writer's lifestyle and am studying Journalism part time at Melbs uni. Interests include: trail running, yoga, travel, road trips, hiking, skating, writing, reading, films, music, or whatever new and interesting activity takes my fancy. I am currently learning Spanish, and am dabbling in fiction and travel writing.. House mate requests: Grounded (a definite) and sustainably minded people would be a plus!
We like to have chats about art history the news. We like going swimming and to the gym. James likes theater and Marisa likes singing. We are very clean and tidy and we like to keep the place clean and tidy. We're friendly to talk to and interested in talking about different subjects with people.
