I'm tidy and sociable, I know how to cook, and I can make a decent cocktail or two. I’m moving to Canberra at the end of Jan to start a full-time APS job. Looking for a place in central Canberra. I’m relaxed and friendly, but respectful of others and their space. I’m pretty laid back and enjoy hiking, cooking (I can make a mean spanakopita), TV dramas, comedies, reading, photography and sport. I also love a good wine or G&T every now and then. I'm able to mostly furnish a place with a lounge suite, TV, bed, washing machine, cutlery, crockery, and some cupboards/bookshelves if required. I will also be bringing a small espresso machine with me. If you’d like to know anything else about me, feel free to ask!
Hi! I am an APS grad starting in early Feb, moving down from Brisbane having just completed my Bachelors in Journalism and Law. 25, friendly, clean and tidy, have lived in share houses the last five years and college dorms before that. I'm always up for a chat, enjoy sharing a meal and making a place feel like a home, but appreciate we all have our down time. Love the outdoors, I'm anticipating a few hiking adventures and ski trips so would love a flatmate who's keen to get around that! Resident doggo/s not a problem.
Hi, I'm in my mid-30s and work F/T. I'm looking to move into an unfurnished room with plenty of space, and also a little storage space. I'm tidy and clean, chatty, but respectful of others' space. Fairly busy and independent, love keeping active and getting outdoors when I can (walks & hikes, trips to the coast), although I do have a horrible penchant for TV when the Bachie is on. Looking for house mates of roughly the same age and who also work F/T, and it is most important to me that we all click and also have the same living expectations. If it sounds like I would fit your household, get in touch! Gabby
Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm 28 years old and I'm originally from Newcastle. I just moved to Canberra to continue work in the APS. I enjoy reading, running, the gym, Netflix, cooking and outrigger canoeing. I'm friendly and easy going as well as clean and tidy. I'm looking for flatmates who enjoy a chat but also value privacy.
Hi, I'm Nancy and I'll be moving to Canberra (from Sydney) in Feb to study Honours at ADFA - looking for a room in the inner North or South Canberra. I've got sharehouse experience and good rental history. I'm fairly introverted and respect housemates' privacy, but as I'll be new to the city I'm quite keen to socialise and have a chat and share meals and a drink when we're all free. I'm excited to explore walks and hikes around Canberra, and hoping to improve my cooking and baking skills. I'm tidy, a non-smoker and don't have pets (but more than happy to share with pets!).
My name is Aaron, I’m 18 and a student at the University of Canberra. I have enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Psychology which i’ll start in February. I’m an easy going guy that gets along with almost everybody, and is considerate and respectful of others. I’m generally quiet and i appreciate keeping things clean and tidy (especially in the Kitchen!). I don’t require much, and i’m generally pretty flexible. I’ve had some experience living in a couple of sharehouses around Canberra in the past year, which has taught me how to live harmoniously with others and has also provided me with amazing friends. I’m always keen to check out a live gig or have an occasional bevvy, and i always enjoy meeting new and intriguing people. I enjoy watching films and i work in New Acton at Palace electric cinema, where i’ve been for the past year or so. I’m looking for something more stable and secure, with some brilliant people. Hopefully before University starts back up in February this year. Cheers!
I'm an easy going guy who is new to Canberra. I'm happy to sit down and chat after a day's work (with a beer or two) or do my own thing; I'm pretty good at both. I'm coming from Perth after just graduating from Uni to work as an IT Analyst. I'm definitely more of a "let's have a night in" kinda guy. I enjoy chill nights watching Netflix and playing video games but I am happy to go out to see what Canberra has to offer! I'm an absolute sucker for good food, especially when it's takeaway but I'll be trying to cook more to save money! I try to go to the gym a few times a week, but I'm not very good at motivating myself so having a gym buddy would be sweet as. I'm a bit of a tech nerd too (kinda why I'm working in IT) so if the WiFi goes down, I'm your guy. I'm looking for somewhere to stay (obviously) but I'm also looking to meet new people and to make some new friends! The main thing I'm after is to have my own room and bathroom, but my ideal place would also have easy access to public transport, parking for my car, fast internet and is close-ish to the shops and a gym. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! Thanks!
Dear internet, find me a house to live in... Just spent a year in Africa, so naturally thought I’d move to Canberra for a culture shock. Doing the same as everyone else in Canberra, working for (*insert current PM name*). I’m sociable, and will bring berocca when you’re hungover and watching reruns of GOT. Love the outdoors, hate the cold and I play ultimate frisbee (yay!). Keen to ‘team up’ or join an easy going house with a great vibe.
Hi, I work as a Finance / Business Manager in the NFP sector in Canberra. I am a friendly, easy going, mature age person who likes to cook, share a laugh and the odd wine. I am a responsible person who respects other people and their belongings. I like to keep houses organised, neat and well maintained. I have good handyman skills, pool maintenace skills, and gardening skills. I have a friendly personality and am a keen sports person. Please call/email me to discuss your accomodation rental requirements and I can tell you more about myself.
I'll be working full-time, and tend to be a bit of a quiet homebody especially during the week, but enjoy having a drink and a chat at the end of a day too - I'd like to be friends with my housemate(s) rather than just share a living space. I quite like a quiet, clean home and love pets, but don't have any. I'm friendly, easy going, flexible, relaxed and enjoy a laugh. I'm moving to Canberra permanently so am looking for longer-term stable, secure accommodation.
Hi my name is Song, I'm 25 and from Melbourne and I'm due to start working in the APS this Febuary 2019 so here I am looking for a share house in Canberra! I'm easy-going, sociable, respectful of people's privacy and space and I love to keep things neat and tidy. I love to cook (whether I'm good is entirely subjective aha) and I enjoy a drink or two from time to time. My hobbies tend to be indoors most of the time, binging TV shows, exploring the depths of Youtube and attempting to understand art house cinema, but I do enjoy hiking and exercising to get some fresh air. I'm looking to share a house with people that are independent but sociable, clean and easy-going as well. I'm looking forward to working and living in Canberra so if this brief portrait interests you, I hope you'd consider me for a roommate, and contact me via phone at 0416716869 or firstname.lastname@example.org
I am moving from Wollongong to Canberra for work as a high school teacher. Often I leave early and am home late. I have lived in shared housing for the most part of 8 years so I'm neat, tidy, clean and value respect of shared space. I enjoy quiet and personal time but also like catching up with housemates in conversation and some social time over a meal, coffee or wine on occasion. My interests include podcasts, the arts, yoga, walks, dance and netball. Often I enjoy going out for good food and wine, or live music and theatre, as well as exploring the city I live in. Non-smoker. Have a car - prefer off-street parking but not mandatory. Pool or proximity to water a plus. 12 month minimum stay, option to extend a bonus. I start work on 25 Jan so would prefer to be able to move in asap before this date. Need to definitely be moved in before the 4th Feb.
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing before so I definitely know the dill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka. For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I enjoy watching Netflix after work and enjoy socialising over dinner. :) *must be in walking distance to a bus stop too Lauren x
Hey! Moving from Brisbane to Canberra to work in the APS. I have lived in sharehouses for years, so I know the drill ;) Tidy, respectful, love to cook and be in a sociable household. Bringing a TV, router, fridge and a few more things, happy to share! Love to stay active almost as much as I love a relaxing night in.
Quiet nerdy couple (one studying, one working) looking for a chill place to work and study. Happy to occasionally play boardgames and have a drink, enjoy cooking and cleaning. Non-smokers, LGBTI+ friendly.
I work full time in Construction. I am a pretty active person and enjoy going out on weekends for a sneaky beer. In summer I try to get to the beach as much as possible. I'm looking for a place that has a pretty relaxed atmosphere.
I’m moving to Canberra end of Janurary to work full time in the APS. I am a happy, friendly and respectful person. I love socialising with people, but am also happy to keep to myself. I am a very tidy person, a good cook and an even better baker! I’m a massive foodie and I can’t wait to explore all the best spots in Canberra!
Hi! I'm work full time in the APS and am looking for a relaxed housemate. I love going to bars and museums and am happy to have a wine and watch tv together. I love reading and going for walks. I like my own space but am also happy to hang out. I've lived in Canberra for three years and love it! I'm flexible with move in dates!
Hi I'm Rachel, a 24 year-old recent uni grad who's moving to Canberra to start an APS graduate program next year (I don't start work til mid Feb but am happy to sort out a place and start paying rent before then). I'm originally from country Victoria and have spent plenty of time in share houses while at uni in Melbourne so I understand the importance of cleaning up after yourself and respecting other people's privacy. I'm happy chilling in my own room but am always up for a friendly chat or catching up over Netflix, wine or takeaway, plus I love cooking so I'll occasionally make a home-cooked meal (or cake) for the house. I'll be bringing a car with me to Canberra so I'll need a parking space or on-street parking (and am always happy to take housemates to the supermarket or on late-night maccas runs). If it sounds like I could be your ideal housemate (or even just not a total nightmare) for you please let me know, and I'm happy to answer any further questions you might have.
