Hi, I’m David. I'm a 31YO young professional currently working out in the far eastern metropolis that is Box Hill. I’ve worked as a Product Design Engineer for the past six years, often travelling for work both internationally and locally. I’ve lived in the Inner North for about the same time and currently on the hunt for a new abode. I am clean, friendly and keen to live in a reasonably well-kept house. I like having the occasional communal dinner with my housemates but will often be out of the house with my mates. I love getting around Melbourne on my trusty two wheeled steed and slacklining in the legendary Eddy Gardens. I am an adventurous guy keen on all things outdoors - cycling, hiking, camping, skiing, the list goes on. I’m usually out of town on weekend adventures but also like to stay in Melbourne to enjoy the quality craft beer, have a bit of a boogie and eat some delicious food. I've recently entered the deliciously dark world of black coffee and enjoy spending my future house deposit on brunch. If you would like to know more give me a shout. Cheers! David
I work as a psychologist, that keeps me pretty busy.I work hard, but I like to have a drink and enjoy myself outside of work- gotta have that balance! Other than that, I'm hugely into music, mainly rock based stuff, a lot of heavier stuff, but I like prettier music as well- music keeps me sane! I go to a lot of gigs, I also play guitar. I'm an avid Collingwood supporter- try not to hold that against me! I'm a massive reader, literature and philosophy are my other passions to music. Other than that I try and make it to the snow once or twice a year. I like to travel as well and I do so whenever I get the opportunity. I'm pretty easy going. I've been doing the share house thing for 15 years now, so I'm not new to this- Communication is the key! I'm pretty amenable if people talk to me, as it's a shared living space and we have to get on. I'm looking for a relaxed, easy going place where I can feel comfortable. I like to chat and I'm often up for a beer, but I like my own space and to do my own thing as well. If that sounds good to you, hit me up with any questions you may have
Hello, I'm Natalie! I'm a Master of Dietetics student at Deakin University, and am finishing up my thesis from a biomedical science research Masters that I started last year (I'm fine, I promise *twitch*). I moved from Brisbane at the beginning of the year and so far have loved being in Melbourne, but am hoping to be nearer the CBD after living in Burwood for a few months. I won't be able to move until I find someone to take my spot on my current lease, but I'm aiming for June since that's when I've got time off from uni! I very much enjoy and could talk a lot about (but won't if you don't want to): - dogs - science - art (I'm THRILLED about the Science Gallery that's opening soonish) - tabletop games - podcasts - making things (e.g. scarves to donate - peep profile pic) - sustainability/conscious consumerism - RuPaul's Drag Race - Terrace House (a Japanese reality show now on Netflix; it's very chill and more of an occasionally hilarious anthropological experience than the usual dramathons of Western equivalents) - learning useless amounts of different languages - making terrible/amazing jokes and puns I'm a low-dairy pescetarian and positive person who is generally happy, but do prefer discussing habits/chores/expectations (mainly with tidying and recycling) so there's no unnecessary drama in the future. I'm excited to learn new things and meet interesting people while continuing my ongoing (...and going) tertiary education journey, and I hope that could be you! :)
Hi there! I am currently based in Warrandyte, I moved out here from Carlton with a few friends for a tree change but after 6 months I'm kinda over it so I am looking to come back to civilisation. I am 36, currently undertaking a PhD at Monash, I also teach there once a week. I also write for various online and print publications, usually on body modification and tattoo. I am a very good housemate! I am clean, respectful of space, I tend to spend a lot of my time writing at my desk but I also like to spend evenings with a glass of wine or beer too. I have an espresso machine! (I also have a really nice fridge. I don't have much in the way of lounge stuff, but happy to purchase if need be). I also have a pooch, his name is Scribbles and he loves everyone. He is 5 and a heartbreaker. He is very well trained and I like to keep him clean. He doesn't go on couches and I take great of him. I am in a long term relationship so I would likely spend some days away from home on a regular basis. Note: only looking to live with one other, or maybe two others!
Hello future flatmates, My name is Michelle! I'm 27 and I study theatre making full time at VCA. I'm looking for a friendly, cosy place to call home. My uni contact hours are rather intense so I'm not looking for a party house but I definitely would love to live somewhere where the occasional meal is shared and a community vibe exists. I'm very into music, theatre and art and I love philosophical and existential conversation. I'm 420 friendly and like having friends over occasionally but I do also appreciate those rare and glorious hours home alone. If I sound like someone who might fit into your abode, send me a message!
I'm moving back to the big smoke to study fine arts after some out in the bush. If I'm at home I'm probably painting or drawing, otherwise I'm out hiking or making coffee to pay the bills! I love a good bottle of pinot noir over a good yarn and a couple of gags :)
Hi I'm Rhys I lived in Melbourne in 2017/18 and am looking to move back for work and Uni. I work full time, play AFL on the weekends and study so generally be fairly busy. I do love going to live music and checking out bars. I wouldn't be against creating an excel spreadsheet with the best local eats, I feel as if this is pretty essential. I do also have a small kelpie that I might look to bring depending on the situation if the situation isn't there that's fine too. Reach out if you have any questions
Hello! We're a couple from NSW. I'm (Tess) a PhD student at Wollongong, studying Creative Writing. I love plants and homey hangouts. I'll be writing a lot for my studies. David's looking to work for an NGO that's making significant social changes. Both of us love a drink and tastey food. We're both grimacing into the future and wondering what we can do to prepare for a climate-altered planet.
Hi! I’m Lauren (27). I’m working as a Principal Consultant in the Service Design industry. I keep pretty relaxed during the week. Weekends I like to spend outdoors, such as hiking, or with friends. I'm looking for housemates I can have a chat/wine with from time to time. Clean/tidy but not clean-freak, and respectful of personal property and privacy. I'm looking for a home, not just somewhere to sleep, so it would be great to have like-minded housemates who can enjoy each others’ company but still have independent interests. My cat is an 8 month old female Maine Coon. MC’s are the largest domestic cat so like having a maniature tiger or lion! Also known as the dog of the cat world, they are loyal, playful (she plays fetch and can walk on a lead) and sociable. She likes all people, dogs and other cats. She’s not a lap cat but will always be close by. Usually just follows me around.
I’m Matty - I work for a food rescue charity 4 days a week and into sustainability. I like to spend my free time making music, spinning vinyls, hiking, bouldering/rockclimbing and taking photos. I also enjoy meditation and yoga, and attend workshops regularly. I also thoroughly enjoy making things from recycled timber. I love to party and have a wholesome boogie too! I would ideally like to live in a conscious household that encourages a sustainable lifestyle. I am not strictly vegan or vegetarian but try to reduce harm as best I can in my dietary choices. I’d like to live with some chill people who can communicate openly and honestly and aren’t afraid to bring up anything that they need to bring up. I love a good conversation so ideally you will be social people that like to hang out and spend time together. I’d like to get to know my housemate/s well, and spend time enjoying each others company, however I enjoy time to myself and having my own space also.
