Hi there! My name's Sam. I'm 30 & I've been living in Melbourne for the last 6 years. I currently work full-time in the CBD in customer service, 9-5:30 Mon to Fri. In my spare time I enjoy reading tech blogs, skateboarding, start-ups, a few beers over trivia and the occasional Netflix binge. Seal's Kiss from a Rose is my go-to karaoke song. I'm currently looking to find a relaxed space to share with some friendly people starting mid-June I'm looking to stay long term (min 6 months), and am happy to put my name on the lease if needed. I'm share-house trained, clean, respectful, timely with bills and LGBTQ friendly. I'm looking for flatmates who are approachable and enjoy sharing a few drinks over dinner now and then, but understand that everyone needs their own space from time to time. Ideally I'm looking for a home more than a house, and enjoy being social with my flatmates. It's also important that the new house is close to public transport :) I try to eat healthy but I'm a sucker for a good parma. I typically organise my own food, but I'm happy to throw in for any communal house dinners or share if you ever need ingredients in a pinch! I'll be bringing a fridge with me too, so plenty of space for beer and extras! I don't have any pets, but I do have a good dad joke. 'Did you hear James Bond slept through an earthquake? He was shaken but not stirred'.
Hey my name's Harry. I'm 22 years old and am a full-time student at RMIT. I'm from Torquay and am intending to move to Melbourne relatively soon to study a masters degree in public policy. I'm very respectful of others and always clean up after myself; I also get along with pretty much everyone and enjoy socialising. During a typical week I'll be mainly studying, going to the gym, playing video games, and having friends over here and there. On weekends I tend to enjoy either going out/seeing people, or just hanging around the house/playing video games if I'm feeling like a quiet one.
- neat, tidy and clean - newish to Melbourne from interstate - health professional - length of stay 9+ months - car park required (off street would be ideal)
I am a good housemate because im friendly, i like getting to know new people. I like to occasionally share meals with housemates if they want to. I don't mind if other housemates have pets. I generally like a quiet house during the week but i don't mind too much on the weekends. I currently study and work so pretty busy but i am always keen to get to know my housemates when i have time. I enjoy golf and cooking and i like to spend time with my girlfriend when i can. I also enjoy catching up with my friends when i can for dinner or drinks.
Hello! Looking for a room in the north to move in preferably around the end of May, but flexible with dates. I'm a music grad who is left wing and eats meat, and am working part time in retail plus doing a bit of freelance work. Have lived in share houses before and am tidy + reliable with cleaning up and paying rent before it's due. I'm after a fairly chill/quiet place, but totally fine with the odd party. A house where I could practice when housemates are out would be ideal, but I do have other options for practice if that's not possible. Fave things include hommus, hatin on the libs and the aussie far right and listening to the beautiful voice of Kevin parker. If you think I'd fit in with your house vibe gimme a hoy.
I work at APRA AMCOS which is all about helping songwriters and musicians by giving them money and opportunities and education. I also coach a women's footy team, and play for the Old Bar Unicorns, and love exploring Melbourne suburbs and photography. I have sharehoused for a long time, and am respectful, self-sufficient, self-cleaning and courteous and affable.
I'm very easy going. Work full time, gym or social things most nights. I'm happy to share a meal or two but I'm also very happy to do my own thing. I'm pretty quiet at home. I'm neat and tidy but not pedantic about it.
Hi There, I'm a 27 year old male who moved to Australia in Dec of 2014 from Boston, MA. I work fulltime at T2 so always have plenty of free tea to share. I have a girlfriend who currently commutes to Geelong to study medicine but is looking to get a place down there so I am looking for a flat mate/flat mates to help out with rent. I'm also always interested in meeting new people and figure this would be a good way to do so as well. I personally try and stay active, going to the gym, and playing ice hockey every Friday night during the season. I enjoy having a beer on weekends and am pretty laid back and flexible. Other hobbies of mine include travelling, sports and live music. The house I'm in now, we currently airbnb our extra room, so I'm used to keeping a place clean and welcoming. I do have 2 kittens (about 6 months old now as of May'17) so would like a place with a courtyard so they can enjoy the outdoors. I currently live in Richmond and love it but would be open to any other suburbs as long as I can easily bike or get to work which is in Collingwood. I hope this gives you a brief picture of who I am and hope you think we'll be a good fit. Please feel to reach out with any other questions.
I am 23 years old, I am an English student and I would like to improve my English, spend most of the time working but I like to enjoy and go to party time in time, I am chill and open mind. I really like having good conversations and sharing time with friends.
We are a couple looking for accommodation in Suburban Melbourne she is 23 and he is 28. We are easy going, clean and respectful individuals who combine into a well rounded couple. He currently works from home as well as goes to meetings in and around Melbourne and does a lot of training at other workplaces. She has just finished up at her last job and is looking for something new. We generally keep to our selves, not big on partying or being particularly loud and hope to find like minded people. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Hi We are a couple who are new to Melbourne, and are looking for a great place to get us started. we are friendly, artistic and open minded people. Annie is a Dog groomer by trade and has a beautiful, house trained Cavalier who is always clean and tidy. She (Scarlett) doesn't yap and is super friendly. Annie is quiet and loves to read. (Me) Ben is an IT student who is undergoing the job interview process down in Melbourne with a few reputable companies. I am musician, producer and work in Film and TV. I am a clean guy, I have to be as I am an allergy sufferer and have to keep dust down. I am known for my clean kitchens and toilets ha! We are reliable, very considerate and friendly. Both of us have lots of share house experience as well as Scarlett.
I'm an LGBT nerd that enjoys reading, comics, video games, art, music and science. (My personality could be described as 'ISFJ', if you believe in that sort of thing). I work full time, running admin at a circus store near Melbourne. I'm a night owl, but not a partier; I make so little noise that you might not even notice that I'm awake. I'm well traveled and love exploring new places. I am easygoing, super reliable with bills, and like being "socially antisocial" with my housemates and selected friends. I need to live in a clean and well-maintained environment. Currently in need of one or two new, interesting people to live with once my current tenancy ends*. Unfurnished rooms are a must, as I have a desk and a couple of bookshelves to fit into my space. I also have a washing machine available if needed! As I have bad knees and no car, proximity to trams and trains is very important. This is the first time I've had to look for flatmates that aren't already friends, so I'm unsure what kind of information people like to know up-front. I'm intersectional, queer-friendly and trans-friendly. Happy to answer any questions that you might have. My name is quite unusual so I haven't uploaded photos, but I promise I'm a real person and not a bot! I'm looking to live with conscientious and considerate housemate/s long-term, in a place that feels like a home. * There's been a lot of noisy construction in my current area that I'd like to get away from. My current housemate is moving into a small apartment with their partner, so I need to find new housemate/s.
I am a full time student on Swanston st and am hoping to get into shift work at Crown Fridays-Sundays. I'm a social butterfly but love coming home to my own space and just relaxing with some personal time. I go to the gym a fair bit and I'm always cooking, I clean up after myself and i promise I'll try my best to never leave my wet towel on the ground ;) I am a lot more attractive as a prospective flatmate in person than I am on paper so please don't write me off due to my age! Yes I am young but I go out to have fun, and come home to relax, I'm very respectful of a shared space.
Hello future flatmates! I'm Katie, a 30 year old Brit working in communications in the Parkville area and looking for a cosy home with new friends for about 6 months to match my work contract. I'm fully house-trained re bills cleaning etc. - shared a wonderful flat in London for 6+ years, pretty chilled out and easy to get on with, not crazy loud but I like a social home life and going out for a drink and a dance occasionally. I'm open-minded, environmentally conscious, and a non-smoker but cool with smokers if its outside. Don't have furniture so keen for something furnished or to buy off previous flatmate. Hobbies include live music/music in general, hoping to play softball or netball (tho not a sporty person in general), science, and exploring everything Melbourne has to offer (coffee)! Don't expect matching hobbies just some cool people who can welcome a newbie into their fold. Get in touch if I sound like a good fit!
Hi, I'm David! :) I'm currently studying a hospitality short course; however my career is in photography, videography, and graphic design. Hobbies include Japanese language study, guitar, aikido, and spending way too much time on my computer. Have only lived in Melbourne for a year now, so I'm still a complete newbie to what this amazing city has to offer. Very extroverted and an enthusiastic conversationalist, although ironically known to be super quiet and often keeping to myself; basically meaning I adapt rather well to any location depending on who I'm living with and their current mood (so that I'm not a bother), haha. Tidy person who tends to clean as he goes, thusly avoiding too much of a mess stacking up. Drivers license but no car now, so being close to tram lines would be desirable. Past that, I feel Brunswick would be a great area for me - although I'm certainly open to offers in other suburbs! I keep to myself, but love socialising and good, long conversations every now and then. I'm neat and good at keeping communal areas clean. I don't go out every weekend, but don't mind a good party. I don't know if I'm very good at it but I love cooking.
Hi all! I'm Amelie. I'm a 30 year old fun and lovely gal. Looking for somewhere to live that's chilled out and clean. I'm a bit of a hipster at heart but without the pretentiousness and the looks. I love going to markets and cafes, upcycling small projects, pot plants, rustic furniture, cooking, drinking fountains of tea, appreciating life and having a laugh. I've just moved to Melbourne from Sydney (originally a New Zealander) so I'm still finding my feet at the moment. I absolutely love Melbourne! Ideally I'd like to live with people similar to my age who have outgrown the getting absolutely wrecked party phase but still enjoy listening to good music now and then over a few beers or wine. I'm quite independent and love working on creative projects so I do like a lot of downtime to myself occasionally. I enjoy cooking and taking care of myself, eating healthy and exercising. I take a lot of pride in the space where I live so I really like places that are clean and creative, with people who are kind and considerate to each other and like the occasional joke and banter.
Hi there, My name's Suzie, I work full time in marketing. In my spare time I like to catch up with friends, do a bit of sewing or catch up on some reading. I'm looking for a relaxed share house with independent housemates who have their own lives but are still up for a glass of wine or dinner when we're all around. Hit me up if you think you've got a spot for me! Cheers, Suzie
