Hi there, i'm a 23-year-old PhD student of UniMelb. Into travels, science & theatre. I would like to share a flat with someone funny, clean and who also respects others privacy cause 3 of these are defining a good flatmate (I believe I possess them too). 🙃
Hey, I'm 35, well-traveled, worked in various cultures, multilingual and have a variety of interesting experiences to share. I am easy to get along, well-mannered, tidy, well organized and love to read. I am an experienced finance professional (Chartered Accountant and Management Accountant) and moving to Melbourne from overseas. I have previously lived in Melbourne briefly in 2015 and have a close circle of friends here. I would like to find a housemate who is easy to get along. I am a hopeless cricket fanatic and have been following cricket matches from as early as the early 1990s. My cricketing nirvana was to watch the WorldCup final live in Melbourne on March 29, 2015. I like to strike a balance between work and being fit and although I am not a gym goer but try to walk the miles to keep in shape. I am committed to continuing education and was studying as recently as 2017. My wife and I I love to travel and we ad the chance to extensively travel across the Middle East, Europe and Far East Asia. I am looking for something that is short to medium term until my wife joins me close to the mid-November. I am aiming to move in starting October 1st 2018. Please give me a call or send me a text if you would like to get in contact. Cheers, Umair
So I'm moving to Melbourne and moving out of my house for the first time ever. *Cue dramatic music* Could be a scary thing but I'm sure I'll find a flatmate or two (it could be you reading this right now) who would end up becoming my best friend(s), and we could have the best time ever! So what do I like? Well, I love Technology (huge Apple fanboy), Football (so I would be staying awake late to watch some matches), watching stuff on YouTube, binge-watching shows, travelling, and playing sports like football, basketball, and table tennis. I do enjoy gaming, playing boardgames and love a great cup of coffee. When it comes to music, I've recently got Drake's Scorpion album on repeat! If you don't like that kind of music, don't worry, I love a lot of different genres :) Keeping my space clean is really important, and also having some privacy from time to time. I would be going to Melbourne School of Design to study Digital Technologies starting February 2019, so finding a place close-by would be great! Can't wait to hear from you! :)
Hi, I'm a lawyer who will be coming to Melbourne for a short postgraduate exchange at Melbourne Uni. I'm a quiet, clean housemate and enjoy hanging out with people. Looking forward to meeting some great people and exploring Melbourne.
Hi my name is Omar, I'm currently a PhD student at The University of Melbourne. This is my first year in the city. My girlfriend and I are looking for a place close to the Uni (a one-bedroom apartment if possible) to live there at least one year.
I'm feminist, easy-going, helpful and reliable woman who is respectful to others and doing a PhD in psychology and sessionally working as a lecturer. I live tidy, clean and minimal. I like having a chat with friends. I love books and listening to other people's stories.
I'm a uni student working part time in retail that is looking for somewhere closish to public transport but also on the cheap. if you have a car spot that would be great and private room preferred. im pretty easy to get along with and enjoy company but also like my time to my self
Hi, I'm Tom. In 2019 I'm moving to Melbourne for a job at the Royal Children's Hospital. I've lived in shared accommodation for years. I think a good housemate is friendly, fun and chips in equal measure with the place. Ideally I'd be keen for a social group of people, I'm keen to go out to bars and restaurants or to stay in and do activities with the group I'm living with. My job involves shift work so every now and then I might be in and out of the house at strange times. For fun I like reading, running and classic Simpsons/Seinfeld. I bought a surfboard this year but I'm still terrible.
Hi there! I am currently looking at moving closer to where I work in Parkville - tired of the commute from the other side of Melbourne! Ideally I would like to rent a place by myself, but I don't yet have the required start up funds, so I am seeking a share situation for about 3-6 months as an interim solution. I don’t own a car, so public transport options are important, particularly train lines (faster than trams!). As well as working full-time, I participate in things such as music rehearsals & other activities, so I am not at home very much. When I am at home I mostly like to relax and rejuvenate. I love cooking, baking, board/card games, pool, music, theatre, culture, reading, sleeping, parklands, crime dramas, and animals. I would be keen to live with people who share similar interests. Not too fussed on age and I am totally accepting of different lifestyles. I drink very rarely - I am not opposed to living with someone who drinks just not heavily. I would prefer a non-smoking household as well. I pay rent/bills on time and I am extremely clean and tidy. I have lived in share houses for over 10yrs, so I understand the importance of respect and communication. References are available.
I have been flat sharing with others for the past 10 years, I am a very good housemate, considerate, clean, quiet, pays rent on time, I am fun to hang out with and also happy to stay quietly in my room. I am a working professional, very driven, active. I go to gym a few times weekly and join online meet up groups for events and activities. Generally a happy easy going Chinese girl and love living in Melbourne.
Hi! My name’s Olga, I am a nurse at the Royal Melbourne Hospital ED. I am usually working and if I am ever home I am pretty easy going and flexible. Dont worry about hosting parties or having people over when im catching up on some 😴 .I sleep like a log....no amount of party noise can wake me up so feel free to turn up the bass. looking forward to meeting you!
I have lived in share houses for over 2 years now and have made lots of good friends from them. I'm a pretty sociable person and always down for a chat or cup of tea. I am 21 from the UK and studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. I'm either looking for a place till December or July next year
We are friendly, clean and respectful. My husband has a strong allergy to cats, so we cannot share a place with cats even though we love them a lot. Also as we are students we need a very good wifi connexion. Thanks a lot! Valentyna&Harsh.
Hello there! I am Chaira, 24 years old and I'm currently living the good life in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In November I will start my fulltime masters research internship at Orygen (located at Parkville) for 8 months. Therefore, I'm looking for a nice and chill place to live per October (I arrive the 13th of October) with some nice roommates. Preferably the place includes a shared livingroom and it shouldn't be too far away from the Orygen institute. About me: I'm an easy- going, very social, cozy and friendly roommate. I love meeting new people and making new memories! Further, I like to go swimming and dancing, I really like to cook, I love having coffees and drinks in the city and I like to go out from time to time. Please contact me if you have something nice for me!:)
Hi, My name is Maria Lucia, I’m 28 , I moved to Melbourne two years ago to do my masters in Sustainable Tourism at Monash University, and now I graduated and work full time so I am looking for a new place where to stay. I come from Colombia, I lived a few years in Europe and now I am loving living in Melbourne. I am the type of person who really loves going to events, festivals, shows and exhibitions, and Melbourne is the perfect place for it. I am often out and about, either for work or for pleasure but I also love to spend some quality time at home, cook good food and watch a movie. I am a very tidy and clean person, and I think that the public spaces of a share house should always be clean and respectfully treated. I am looking for a nice and cosy house, but also for a nice atmosphere at home with my flatmates. Please send me a message if you have a double room in a two or three-bedroom apartment. Only rooms with a window, please =) (what is the deal with rooms with no Windows here in Melbourne??) =)
We're a Spanish couple that has lived in Ireland, England, Italy, Switzerland and of course, Spain. We're now trying to enjoy our year here as much as possible. She's an architect who's working in a studio at the CBD and I'm a journalist and translator that freelances as much as takes part time jobs in hospitality. We keep it chilled during the weeks and are up for everything during the weekends. Either having a bottle of wine, cooking or going out to a concert or to play some sport works for us, and we'll be making trips every now and then. We also have Netflix, HBO-Go and Amazon Prime Video, so we'll also enjoy our own time binge-watching any new show. We've lived on our own, in student accomodations and with other people, so we know the importance of respecting everyone's space while trying to keep a family vibe within the house 🏡
L'm Jasmine. A 22 y/o student and part time hospo. I'm an Aussie, who loves travelling and all things snow related. I love catching up with friends and socialising with a few drinks, but I also really enjoy my down time too. I am looking for a place to call home for a while, as I've spent the last year and a half on many adventures around the world, and I need to settle down for a bit and feel at home again.
Hello future housemates! I've recently finished studying (yay!) and as I'm back to working full-time in the city I'm looking for a more convenient place to live - a house that feels like a home and friendly, mature, interesting people to share it with. More about me… I’m clean and tidy and respectful of other people’s space, and just as happy chatting and hanging out as I am relaxing on my own. More of a dinner with friends than a house-party kind of person but hey, I can be convinced. ;) When I’m not at work (or hiding from Melbourne winters) I love to get outdoors as much as possible - hiking, climbing, camping, biking - anything really. I’ve been lucky enough to travel and work overseas quite a bit, and I love learning other languages/cultures/perspectives and being challenged in my own. I do also work from home occasionally, so a space where I can do that is important. Oh, and I come with a cat. She’s really small (though her personality isn’t) and incredibly well-behaved - if you don’t like her, she will leave you completely alone. I'm not her original human but he went overseas and so she's stuck with me now. Hope to hear from you soon!
I am very easy going, clean and reliable - excellent rental history. Moving from Tasmania to Melbourne to start new job at Royal Children's Hospital as a Social Worker. Hoping to slot into an existing share house. Looking forward to exploring Melbourne but also looking for a share house which is respectful of quite time and my experiments in cooking Middle Eastern meal.
Julie and I are moving to Melbourne from Dublin in late September. Julie is a doctor and I work in Corporate Sales. We enjoy a quiet living space and a good glass of red wine. Our hobbies and interest include running, cycling, yoga, music festivals, golf and anything to do with concerts really! We look forward to hearing from our potential house mates :)
I'm Sid, I'm 24, and I'm a JD student at Monash city campus (near Flagstaff). I've lived in Melbourne since I was about 5, with only one break in the middle when my parents moved to Dubai for a couple of years for work. I also lived and studied in England for a year, and spent a considerable amount of that time travelling around Europe. I work full time alongside my study, which keeps me pretty busy, but I love to chat in my spare time and I can guarantee I'll always have a new topic of discussion for you. My favourite topics range from politics, to movies/TV, and even a bit of tech and science. As far as hobbies go, I like reading, hiking, video games, working out, and exploring Melbourne's bars and restaurants with friends. I'm always down to watch an episode or two of a sitcom, or have a movie night with some drinks and snacks, and on occasion I'm known to try to replicate some of my mum's family recipes. I also brew a couple of decent cocktails and love a board game or two. I'm neat and tidy, and respectful of my housemates' privacy. I'm also LGBTQ+ friendly, and whilst I don't smoke, I don't mind living with people who do. I'm also fairly tech savvy, and can fix the odd computer or phone issue for you. If you want a housemate who's lively, but keeps busy during the week, I'm your guy! *I also tell dad jokes and make puns- you've been warned.
I'm small, sassy and sparkly (that's what my dating profile says, anyway). I work 4 days a week in a government contact centre while completing my Master's in Publishing and Communications. I love books! Talk books to me. I have a huge collection that I love to share around with friends and I love anything book-related. I practise yoga at home most days. I've also recently got into running and try to do semi-regular races, with my first 10k coming up in December. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and I really value my health and fitness in general :) I really love dogs, and greyhounds especially - I used to foster for the Greyhound Adoption Program. I'm a big AFL fan (go Cats!) and go to most home games in Geelong with my parents during the season. I love glitter and music festivals and dressing up when I go out to dance. I enjoy cooking and try to make fun new things that are healthy and delicious on the regular. I'm partial to dumplings and red wine, keen to get back into hiking (but I don't have a car) and always have a show on the go on Netflix. I'm really looking for a cosy home with a decent-sized bedroom so I can practise yoga in the mornings. I work in the city and study in Parkville so being central is important to me. I'm pretty busy and don't spend all that much time at home but when I do I'll be chilling on the couch with a book or Netflix, cooking up something tasty or having a couple of glasses of wine with a friend. I like my home to be a relaxing space. I love to get dressed up, go out and have a crazy time but I don't like to bring the party home with me, so I'm not looking for a party house. I've lived in sharehouses all my adult life so I know the drill. I'm tidy and quite clean, especially if there's some kind of roster in place. I like a clean kitchen and neat communal spaces. I've lived in my current place for 3+ years and I love it but I'm struggling to afford it at the moment so looking for something quite a bit cheaper. Hit me up if you think I'd work for your home!
A first-year Graduate student. Studying mechatronics at the University of Melbourne. I'm easy to get along with. I love sports football (soccer) precisely. Everything will be ok as long we keep the common areas we'll be sharing clean and tidy. A long-term stay is the goal!!
