Hi there! We’re Sander and Veerle, a couple from the Netherlands, and we’re planning to live on the beautiful Gold Coast for one year starting in early October. We’re both in our twenties and excited to settle into the laid-back, active lifestyle the Gold Coast is known for. I Sander love playing football, padel, cycling, and surfing. Veerle is also a big fan of surfing and loves spending time at the beach, so this really feels like the perfect place for us. I’ve been to the Gold Coast before on holiday and had a great time, and Veerle studied here for four months a few years ago. Ever since, we’ve both wanted to come back and experience life here more fully. Now we finally have the chance to do that together! During our stay, I’ll continue working remotely from my laptop for my current employer in the Netherlands. This provides me with a stable income and daily routine. Veerle is looking forward to finding a job in hospitality, ideally as a barista or waitress, to generate her own income and build a social life. We’re currently looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to call home. We’re clean, respectful, and will treat any home we stay in with great care. We’re hoping to find a place where we can feel at home and enjoy everything the Gold Coast has to offer, not just as tourists, but as part of the local community. Warm regards, Sander & Veerle
