At the moment I live in Camp Hill, where my current flatmate and I have lived together happily for about a year. She’s decided to return to living alone as she enters a new phase of her life, and as the apartment is hers, I’m looking for somewhere else to call home. After my previous move from the Northside, I’ve really started to settle in to the inner south-east area, so I’m hoping to find somewhere else nearby. I'm an introvert and like spending time alone, so I’m a pretty quiet and self-contained housemate. As someone who values their downtime, I’m extra mindful of maintaining a clean, tidy and peaceful environment that everyone can feel comfortable and cosy in. I also like to get to know the people I live with, and hopefully make friends with them over time. My ideal home is one that feels truly shared, and that we can take responsibility for and pride in as a team. Career-wise, I'm a junior graphic designer and I work four days a week (Monday to Thursday) at a studio in Carina. At some point I’m hoping to transition to working from home on one of those days. Outside of work, I’m honestly a bit of a grandparent — I enjoy reading, playing Switch games, cooking, sewing, gardening, bushwalking, and getting involved with environmental and social activism. I’m working on growing some of my own herbs and veggies at the moment, so a balcony or yard that can accommodate a few pots is a must. I’m a long-time vegan, but won’t try to convert you and am not generally bothered by people eating meat around me or using shared equipment to prepare it. I prefer to do my own thing for meals most of the time, but if you’re vegan or vego as well, I won’t say no to sharing every now and then. I have a car, but it’s a tiny hatchback that doesn’t take up much parking space, and I’m not pressed about keeping it in a carpark or driveway. I do have a bike that I try to use for everyday trips, so I will need somewhere to lock it up undercover. Lastly, I adore animals, so any furry (or feathery, or scaly) cohabitants are a plus!

Helloooo- Im British, 32, and am moving to Brisbane start of October as a post-doc researcher at QUT in Architecture, so now looking for a new place to call home. I am quite outdoorsy as a person- I love running, hiking, watersports- generally a big fan of all sports in general- but I equally appreciate my downtime reading or catching up on a series and cooking. I'd say im very easy-going and relaxed as a person, unless you catch me watching a game in which case my competitive side might slip out... I currently live in Copenhagen (have been here for 7 years) on my own in my cosy flat filled with plants, books and art, so am hoping to find a similar chilled home (especially as I think my days are going to be pretty packed). Equally, I think it would be great to share a flat with similar people, have chats over wine, food, or an ice cold beer. Before my current place I have lived in flat shares since I was 18 (both good and bad experiences as I guess most have). I appreciate both communal cooking evenings as well as having our own lives, respect a closed door, and the importance of keeping the place clean.
