    $350/week44 year old woman

Looking for my dream room in your friendly sharehouse. Work full time in the city and out and about after work and on weekends so not necessarily a home body. Have close friends ranging from their 20s to 80s so not bothered about age of housemates but lifestyle and value similarities are important to me. Fun, funny, kind, caring, considerate, social introvert. Love and appreciate creative, quirky, individual types Politically active - left leaning - it's important that I'm around people who are socially and environmentally conscious and, ideally, working to make the world a better place. I come with a sewing machine, some board games, a soda stream and lots of herbs and spices for cooking delicious meals. Looking for a warm and friendly home. Prefer non-cigarette smoking. I like a friendly home where we can socialise when we feel and also have our own space. I value open communication and appreciate people who can talk through any issues before they become a big problem. During the week I love early nights and early mornings getting to the gym before work. Weekends I'm a bit more flexible and don't mind a couple of drinks on occasion. Generally love to craft and create, read, nature walks. I enjoy a good party and festival every now and again but mostly keep these outside the home. I'm definately up for keeping communal spaces clean (but not uncomfortably clean) and I'm happy to contribute to garden upkeep. Hate fluorescent lights and houses with the tv always on. Can bring lamps! 🤪 Oh, and prefer fresh air to aircon. Ideally looking for a house with green space and private lawn to sink my bare feet into, but open to anything that has a good vibe. I do have a car. Looking in South Brisbane, West End, Highgate Hill. Private bathroom is another on my ideal list but again not a must. Looking at a budget of 350 but can compromise for the right thing. Have a car so parking would be ideal but not absolutely necessary. Can't wait to hear from you and hear about your home and my potential future housemates 💚

    $250/week23 year old non-binary

Hi! My name's Izzy and I'm 23. I'm non-binary and use they/them pronouns. Living with people who can accept and be mindful of this is a must! At the moment I live in Camp Hill, where my current flatmate and I have lived together happily for about a year. She’s decided to return to living alone as she enters a new phase of her life, and as the apartment is hers, I’m looking for somewhere else to call home. After my previous move from the Northside, I’ve really started to settle in to the inner south-east area, so I’m hoping to find somewhere else nearby. I'm an introvert and like spending time alone, so I’m a pretty quiet and self-contained housemate. As someone who values their downtime, I’m extra mindful of maintaining a clean, tidy and peaceful environment that everyone can feel comfortable and cosy in. I also like to get to know the people I live with, and hopefully make friends with them over time. My ideal home is one that feels truly shared, and that we can take responsibility for and pride in as a team. Career-wise, I'm a junior graphic designer and I work four days a week (Monday to Thursday) at a studio in Carina. At some point I’m hoping to transition to working from home on one of those days. Outside of work, I’m honestly a bit of a grandparent — I enjoy reading, playing Switch games, cooking, sewing, gardening, bushwalking, and getting involved with environmental and social activism. I’m working on growing some of my own herbs and veggies at the moment, so a balcony or yard that can accommodate a few pots is a must. I’m a long-time vegan, but won’t try to convert you and am not generally bothered by people eating meat around me or using shared equipment to prepare it. I prefer to do my own thing for meals most of the time, but if you’re vegan or vego as well, I won’t say no to sharing every now and then. I have a car, but it’s a tiny hatchback that doesn’t take up much parking space, and I’m not pressed about keeping it in a carpark or driveway. I do have a bike that I try to use for everyday trips, so I will need somewhere to lock it up undercover. Lastly, I adore animals, so any furry (or feathery, or scaly) cohabitants are a plus!
