We're a quiet couple from New Zealand relocating to start a new adventure in Brisbane. Izzy works as a designer and Tim will be starting his PhD at UQ in July. We're looking for a couple's room (ideally furnished) in an established social sharehouse to move into at the end of June. We're both organised, tidy and respectful people who enjoy a bit of banter and a couple of quiet drinks on the weekend. We enjoy outdoor adventures, watching TV with housemates and generally hanging out. We're used to sharing cleaning and cooking with our housemates, but we're open to any arrangement. We will not be arriving in Brisbane until the 24th of June, however Tim will be in town to visit for the week of the 20th of May. We're keen to do video call inspections where possible, but can arrange for Brisbane-based family to inspect in person as well.

Hi, my name’s Tayla and I’ve been living in Brisbane for about two years now after moving from Cairns to begin studying a dual degree of marine biology/mathematics at UQ. I’ve been working full-time for the past four years before moving and am now working part-time during the uni term and full time in the off season. I am looking for a room for at least 12 months in a 2-3 bed dwelling, and would prefer to share with other like-minded, clean and tidy students or working professionals (women only). I am also looking for places either close to the city or close the the UQ St Lucia campus (or both!) I have built up a good rental history in the last five years since I first moved out of home in 2019. My current lease ends mid-June, so ideally I am looking for a place available no earlier than the beginning of June. I’m open to 6-12 month stay times. In my free time I enjoy walking in nature, going to the markets, snorkelling, catching up with friends, and exploring new places. I’d like a roommate/s who’d be down for a glass of wine and a chat but can also respect personal space. Would prefer not a party house as I’m not much of a party animal myself, but the odd party here and there is definitely not a bother ☺️
