Hi there! I’m Huw, a 30 year old musician and music teacher. I’m moving to Canberra in July to study a masters of secondary teaching at University of Canberra and am currently looking for a place while I study. For the last 5 years I’ve been running my own business teaching people how to play drums and music theory, and am now making the change to switch to teaching high school music which I’m super excited about. I love music (evidently), teaching, and also woodworking, running, yoga, making bread and playing video games. I’m quite an introvert and generally like time and space to myself, but I’m also very down for occasional house hangs. I have 10 years of flat sharing experience and I routinely keep the kitchen and bathroom clean and other rooms tidy, and I’m looking for people who do the same and are considerate of others. Being a musician I do make a fair bit of assorted sounds- I play drums, guitar, bass, piano and sing. I’m not looking to set up my acoustic drum kit however, so the max sound levels won’t ever get too loud, and I’m very open to discussions about appropriate times for making sound and making changes if there are any issues for other peoples comfort.
