Hi there, I am looking for a temporary place to stay near Riverside, Tasmania. I live in Brisbane, QLD (Tassie-born though) and have come back to Tas because my Mum had a stroke in late February. I need a place to stay nearby while Mum finds her feet again and while we set-up some home supports. I am seeking a quiet, comfortable and peaceful place to rest in-between being with Mum. I am a primary teacher and will be working as a casual teacher in both the state and private systems around Launceston. Most of the time, I will either be at work or with Mum. I imagine I will most likely be at *your place* during evenings for quiet nights of calm and relaxation. Weekends tend to be full and busy, but some will be planned as “empty” recovery days. 😊 I am needing a desk and chair with some surface space – this is where I tend to spend the most time. My own bathroom would be an absolute luxury and although I hope for that, it is not a must. Clothing storage is not an issue – I will just live out of my suitcase I think. I am quiet and enjoy keeping to myself as well as being social with friends and family. I can be focussed and motivated to work hard on any task at hand and enjoy working on various goals and interests. I also love getting outdoors into nature and going on walks for both fitness, enjoyment and adventure. Tasmania looks so beautiful right now too! I love going out for coffee with friends at new or favourite places. I am interested in nutrition and health and very much prefer to eat at home. I love cats and dogs – but dogs (literally?) take the cake! They can make the most amazing companions. If you have 2 small rooms – a bedroom and office space, that would be a dream. They would be well looked-after; I’d hardly be there and you’d barely hear me when I am there. I am reliable, trustworthy and quite tidy. I currently rent a little 2-bedroom granny flat south of Bris, which I absolutely love. I've been there for 5 years. Very challenging to hold onto that and find something I can afford here in Tas, even if only temporarily. But right now, family takes priority. Happy to meet for a cuppa and havvah chat!
