Im Richard, and I have just returned to Australia after living and working in London for 6 months. I am looking for a private room to rent UNTIL June 30th 2027. My budget is $300 rent per week, including bills. I am hoping to move in between October 21st and November 4th 2026.

I have lived in shared houses in Brisbane for 11 years. I do my own home-cooking, and I will always clean up after myself in your kitchen. I am NOT a smoker. I have my own car. I don't have any pets but Im fine with animals. I don't have children. I am happy with a shared bathroom, or having my own en-suite, and will always contribute to housecleaning. I am 35 and I would prefer to live with housemates between the ages of 23 and 50. I am always down for socialising with my housemates over a beer, watching TV or having a laugh.

Before moving to the UK, I worked in Brisbane at a sports restaurant as a bartender, waiter and events assistant. When I was living in London, I worked in events/hospitality, as well as high schools as a teaching assistant. In fact, I worked as an extra on movies filmed in both Brisbane and London. During my time overseas, I visited France, Scotland and Ireland.

As you can probably guess, I love movies. I get to see them for free because I use to be a film critic for ABC Radio Capricornia. I also like to go to the gym, hiking, long walks in the city, trivia nights, dining out with friends, coffee, the beach, kareoke, playing squash, baking desserts, travelling, and making travel videos.
