We’re Jess (she/her) and Lily (she/they), new friends looking to do a teamup.
We’re seeking a 2 bed studio or 1-2 housemates to join us in a bigger place. We want to create a safe, comfy space to call home.
What we’re seeking in a housemate:
- A team player. We don’t have to be best mates, but we have to do our bit.
- Someone who’s cool with the queer community
- Someone who can manage disagreements and conflict proactively and with respect. We’d rather have an awkward conversation than leave something simmering in the background causing tension.
Non-negotiables:
- No cats (allergies)
- No couples
- No drug use, smoking, vaping. We can't breathe that in, even if it's medicinal.
Timeline:
- As soon as we find the right place / people. Absolute deadline is March, but keen to get the move done.
More about us:
- Introverts, needing a lot of solo time to recharge
- We share a lovely group of mostly neurodivergent, mostly queer mates
- We enjoy the occasional board game session and would like to have friends over to play sometimes. Happy to play with you, too!
Jess: I feel really at home in nature. I love a good gaming session, craft, and Lego. I’m an Autistic autism researcher nearing the end of my PhD. I study and work from home with only a couple meetings per week (desk in bedroom). I have chronic fatigue, so I have a support worker help with heavier tasks like laundry & cooking. Happy to provide more info. You have a right to know who will be in your home.
Lily: Hey there, I’m Lily. I’m neurodivergent, queer, and work full time in a government role. I’m organised, tidy, and looking for a house that will be a safe, quiet, calming space to come to at the end of a long day. I have previous studies in psychology (among other subjects), and like to learn about different things when I have energy and time - physics, astronomy, art, philosophy, etc - if you have a special interest I’d love to learn about it.
