Hello, I'm Nick, an independent investigative, photo and video journalist, writer and in 2027, a PhD candidate, that works and studies from home or on the street, and often going to do long form stories around the Land. (I report mainly on First Nations, West Papua, Palestine and frontline civil and environmental resistance).
After 5 years in a forest house, the owner is selling, so I have to find new digs. Would love to find a place surrounded by trees, nature and wildlife too.
PLEASE NOTE - MOVING DATE AROUND OCTOBER 7 WHEN MY LEASE IS ENDING.
I am First Nations heritage, which is important to me, and 18 other bloodlines around the world. I live with managed disability and immunocompromise so looking for a housemate that is disability respectful.
I am passionate about the things that matter, but I also know how to connect to the land on which we stand, and enjoy life in balance through music, art, photography and connection with nature and friends.
Ideally I would like to find someone with whom I can make a long term home. I am looking for someone who genuinely tries to live ethically & still wants (and works for) a better world. Someone friendly that will say hello and be up for chats when appropriate. Someone community minded, but also values own space and independence. I enjoy deep yarns, and a good dance and happy tunes, but also am totally respectful of the need for quiet. I believe in respect, compassion and clear consent in all things, and love to have a cooperative, consensus driven living space.
I am looking for a non-smoking, non substance abusing housemate. Someone that is ok with a wine or cocktail in moderation. Someone that is OK with visitors and occasional house guests but with peace times too. Friendly and comradely, but with our own lives and pursuits. Ideally looking for a mature postgrad student, or quiet creative professional. I am Queer friendly and an ally, though not Queer myself.
I come with a sweet and very friendly but well adjusted older lady cat called Luna. So would prefer a quieter place without aggressive or boundary-less dogs.
If I seem like your kind of person, please hit me up.
