My name is Leonardo, I'm 24, and I live in Genoa, Italy. I'm currently finishing my master's degree in physics, and on September 14th I'll be arriving in Melbourne, where I'll be staying for about 6 months to work on my thesis. Coming from the other side of the world, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity for an experience I'm not sure I'll ever get again.
While I'm there, I'll have an office at RMIT where I'll be working daily on my thesis. Since I'm there, I'd also love to fully experience life in Melbourne by picking up some casual work, maybe as a waiter or something similar.
A bit more about me: as I mentioned, I'm 24 and lived in Genoa until I was 22. After that, I spent 7 months in Paris, where I had my first experience with coliving (there were 8 of us in the first place and 3 in the second). I fell in love with both the city and the shared living experience, so as soon as I got back, I started planning this trip to Australia to step up my game a bit.
I'd describe myself as very outgoing; I'm looking for a shared house so I can meet people and make friends in Melbourne, but even though I'm Italian, I really know how to respect people's personal space. I'd also say I'm very clean, especially when it comes to common areas.
In my free time, I like going to the gym, I've been doing theater for 9 years, and I play the piano (don't worry, I won't be bringing one into the house haha). I read a lot and love going to the cinema, but I also enjoy getting drinks, catching up over a beer, and also partying.
I hope this gives you a good picture of who I am, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
