Hey! I'm Jean-Yves, but you can call me JY. I'm French, 37, and I've called Sydney home for the past 10 years (I'm a permanent resident). I spent 7 of those years living in share houses and 3 living on my own, so I'm pretty comfortable with both!
I gave up my apartment last year to travel for a while, and I'm now heading back to Sydney for the foreseeable future, looking for a new place to call home.
I'm fairly flexible on location, anywhere from the Eastern Suburbs to the Inner West. Ideally looking for my own studio or apartment, but I'd also be very happy sharing with one or two other people if it's the right fit.
Work-wise, I spent years leading a team at a large digital agency before taking the leap into running my own consultancy last year. I split my time between working from home, cafés and the occasional trip to the CBD.
A bit about me: I'm easy-going, sociable and active. I love cooking, playing beach tennis, going to the gym and generally getting out and about. I enjoy having my own space and downtime, but I'm always up for a chat, a shared dinner or a glass of wine.
Having lived with others for years, I know how important it is to respect everyone's space and keep things clean and tidy. I'm definitely not looking for a party house, but I'd love somewhere with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where it feels like a proper home rather than just sharing a roof.
I'm a non-smoker, have no pets and am pretty low-maintenance as a housemate.
If you think I might be a good fit, feel free to reach out. Happy to have a chat!
Cheers,
JY
