    $300/week58 year old woman

Hi, my name is Sonja. I recently arrived from Melbourne 2 years ago. I am currently renting a room in Canning Vale, through an agency, called Room Estate Property Group. The first 12 months were great. It was the best share house I've lived in. Then two chain smoking, chain vaping, and chain other drug gassers moved in and I was in the middle. Along with one girlfriend, it's been months of constant gassing day and night. I ended up sick from it with liver dysfunction. So I'm looking for a NON-SMOKING, NON-VAPING, AND NON-METHING NOR ANY OTHER GASSING HOUSE. I am studying a Masters of Professional Accounting. I'm 75% into it so need a room for another 12 months. I tend to live in the Curtin university library. I can live anywhere and have my car. I intend to live in Perth for the rest of my life. I even also have a social life so I won't be relying on you for one. I'm financially independent and have a long record of over 30 years of tenancy experience, 20 of which, as a housemate. Before leaving Melbourne I leased a unit for three and a half years through Barry Plant of Ringwood/Heathmont. Before this, I've leased a room in two rooming houses, whilst completing a degree, a total of 6 years as a housemate. I have also been a head tenant for 13 years seeking approval to sublet to housemates. So I understand how scary the selection process can be. If you have read to this point, thankyou for your time and interest. I hope to meet you. Kind regards, Sonja

    $400/week30 year old woman

I am a neurodivergent (diagnosed ADHD), Asian, hijab-wearing woman in my early-30s. I was born & grew up mostly in Malaysia, but have been a long-time resident of Perth WA. At the moment I’m working part-time as an Admin & Sales Co-Ordinator in Canning Vale, but am looking for full-time work opportunities to transition to. I have a BA from UWA, majored in Psychology. I was doing the Bachelor of Psychology & Counselling at ECU part-time for a while, but am taking a break to focus on employed work. Interested in going into Horticultural studies in the near-ish future. I’m a quiet person, an introvert. Personally a non-smoker & non-drinker—none of my business if you do. I’m respectful of others’ privacy & peace, because I value my own. I am a social creature but in like a cat kind of way—never in your face, chill vibes 95% of the time, board games and video games, crafternoons, body-doubling doing our own thing within the same space kind of energy. I bake/cook and make desserts when I’m stressed (which is pretty often in this economy, so I hope you enjoy eating). I play piano & have a (portable) digital piano—it would be nice to have space for it. I’d love to get into rollerskating more often as I own a pair. At some point I’d like to get back into martial arts & also venture into tap-dancing. Me as a housemate/tenant/friend: Chill vibes, peaceful co-existence. I have lived with other people in the past, and I’ve lived on my own before. I’m respectful of others, mindful of others’ space, and all about being communicative to ensure everyone’s on the level and feeling comfortable. I value cleanliness & hygiene, I tidy as I go (e.g. I wash dishes pretty much immediately after I use them, not leave stuff to pile up), I vacuum & mop probably more frequently than the average person (more than once a week, depending on circumstances). I rarely if ever have house guests, as I usually go out when meeting friends. I’m very “mum-friend”. I do my friends’ dishes whenever I visit them. At the moment I’m crashing with friends who were kind of enough to house me short-term, but I’d like to give them their space back ASAP and find somewhere to live by the end of May 2025. I’m looking at a 6-month term just as a minimum, but I'd be happy to sign on a longer-term lease. Because I was previously living on my own, I already have some furniture and household items of my own—some kitchen items, a TV, some shelves, vacuum cleaner, steam cleaner & stuff like that, they’re just in storage at the moment. But I’d appreciate a small wardrobe and a bed, as my old one was unfortunately broken during my last move. I also have a washing machine, but may end up selling it if I’m not likely to need it at my next place. If there is space for my potted plants, that would be amazing. I’d be happy to do gardening duties. I don’t currently have any pets since my last cat passed of old age some years back, but I do miss living with cats and would like to adopt one from the Cat Haven if property/housemate permits. I don’t like living in a house smelling of Cat™️ and litter either, so please believe me when I say I know how to be a responsible and CLEAN cat-owner. For personal reasons, comfort and security, I’m looking for females-only shared accommodation. A door lock would be appreciated. Even a small private bathroom would be ideal, but at most sharing with one other person. Also open to teaming up to find a rental to share. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask and communicate with me. Being presumptuous helps nobody.
