Hello! I am moving to Australia in June and I will be needing a place to live for at least 6 months. I prefer to share an apartment with other girls. I am very organised and tidy, and an easy-going person.
I’m easygoing, love to laugh and meet new people, yet very organised and clean. I love to socialise but I also enjoy time spent at home relaxing. My passions include dancing, food and wine. In fact, I run a food blog as a hobby so I’m constantly hunting for new cafes and restaurants. I work full time (9-5) as an Executive Assistant at a University and I’m usually out and about on weekends. So, I’m mainly just home on week nights. I’ve been renting for the past 2 years and have lived with both male and female professionals who I get along with just fine. I welcome the opportunity to chat over a coffee so we can learn more about each other :)
Hi, I am looking for either an ensuite room or a room in a clean house available for after-6 July. I am social, respectful and also I enjoy hanging out with my housemates (e.g. binge watching movies, playing PS4, drinking, going out, and etc). P.S. The suburbs I have selected are RANDOM and I don't mind if there is a room available in other suburbs as far as it has easy access to CBD.
Hi I'm Victor, 25 from Stockholm, Sweden. I'm a law student attending Deakin University for a trimester. I'm really looking forward my time in Melbourne, I have only been visiting the city once a few days back in 2013 when I backpacked the east coast. I would prefer to share a flat with people not speaking Swedish, to get the most out of my stay. And also to make new connections. I would say I'm an outgoing, respectful and open minded person. I am a responsible clean/organised housemate. I love to cook and hang out over drinks and food. I would prefer to stay at one place during my time in Melbourne and my stay is founded by student aid and of course a lot of savings. Hope to hear from you!
Hiiiii, I am Bec I’ve just moved to Melbourne from Brisbane so looking for a place with good homely feels. I work full time (corporate sell out) so would prefer a quieter place during the week but enjoy drinks, exploring new places, live music, seeing friends for food and visiting galleries on the weekends. I’d like a social house where Tuesday wines and Sunday coffee can be a thing. I also prefer the older houses with all that character and charm. I am familiar with the usual sharehouse drill of respecting others personal space and belongings. Let me know if you think I’d suit your home - look forward to hearing from you!
The place is hidden best in the midst across Wellington parade, 10 mins walk from the city (flinders/fed square) but offers perfect quiet from the city rush. 2 mins walking distance to trams and 5-7 mins walking distance to Jolimont and parliament stations. The place is fully furnished (including washing machine, dryer dishwasher etc.) and also offers a swimming pool, spa, fully equipped gym, sauna and 2 secure car parks (sorry the website didn’t have an option of any secure car parks) It's a great location for young professionals/students working/studying in the city (males preferred) A little about the house: It’s a 3 bedroom duplex apartment 2 bathrooms (one en-suite and the other shared) The house is kept very clean and tidy at all times, especially in the common areas (kitchen, shared bathroom, living room and dining area) to respect everyone’s space. The incoming can take up any of the two rooms available, one with en-suite other with a shared bathroom (rooms available at different times). Looking for easy going, laidback, clean, friendly and someone who respects other’s space. The house is quiet during weeknights, however everyone love having friends over for a few beers and good laughs over the weekends. A few house rules (boring but a necessary evil) 1. The rent is paid 1 month in advance 2. The bond is $1300 and is payable to the outgoing flatmate (sorry again the website didn’t have an option for 6 weeks rent - owner mandated) 3. The incoming faltmate(s) will be responsible for tenant/lease transfer with the real estate (their office is just behind the house). You have to make sure all the paper work is filed and the bond has transferred onto your name. 4. Cleaners are already organised every fortnight, so the incoming flatmate(s) must be willing to pay $16.5 (per person) extra per week for cleaning services (its $99 per clean). 5. The incoming flatmate(s) must be willing to clean up after themselves especially in common areas (kitchen, shared bathroom and living/dining areas) so others’ space is catered for 6. The bills (electricity, gas and internet) are not included in the rent, and are paid month in advance. ($24 per person per week for both gas and electricity, $6 per person per week for internet) 7. Only the common household items (soaps, dishwashing liquid, bin bags, floor cleaners etc) are split 3 ways. We use SplitWise app which is very handy 8. Once in a while sleepovers other than the flatmates is ok, however it cannot be a common thing. We don’t bring the party home. If you add all the things the total is $264.5 per week per person including everything. One room is available from 1-June-2018 and the second upstairs loft room (en-suite) available from end of June 2018. Please feel free to message me if you are interested
Hi! Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way first: I'm moving from Sydney to find a place to call home long-term in Melbourne, the best city in the country. Leaning towards unfurnished but it’s not a dealbreaker, a backyard, good shower pressure, walkable to a train/tram stop and a dryer are happy bonuses but not requirements, decent internet is a must, I’m LGBTQI+ friendly, I LOVE cats, I ride a motorcycle so parking isn’t an issue, and I am not a fan of spiders or bugs. Now onto the important stuff: I’m taking control of my life and moving to a city I love to pursue a new career in scriptwriting. I was a VR and game developer and i’ll be doing that freelance from time to time. I travel a lot, I can cook (and intend to subscribe to HelloFresh again when I move in, which means i’m down to cook for the house a few times a week), I’ll be auditioning like mad to every amateur theatre group within convenient distance, I’ve always got one song or another stuck in my head, I'm learning the synth and I’m volunteering for the Lifeline suicide prevention hotline. I won't have a full time job when I get move in but I do have a modest trust fund, so I'll never miss a rent or bill payment and I’ll be getting a part time job once i’m settled in. I've lived in share houses before so I know the drill, regular cleaning and respect for common areas and not eating other peoples food and all that. I also come with all sorts of handy house stuff like a big TV, microwave and kitchen stuff if we need it, otherwise I’ll sell it. Oh yeah, and a room-scale VR headset you can play with :D And here’s the biggest thing: This is probably gonna sound odd, but I've come to Melbourne to look for a home with an atmosphere that fosters creativity. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's full of painters and musicians and the like (although that'd be awesome), it means I'm looking for a certain vibe of collaboration or camaraderie, a home rather than a house. I reckon that's more important than details like whether or not there's a dryer or distance to public transport, who you live with is more important than where you live. If any of that resonates with you and your housemates, I’m available for viewings whenever! Thanks for reading all that Adam
I'm from Perth originally but like everyone there I moved over to Melbourne to try it out. I currently working part time in an office job and study law part time. I'm clean, respectful and always pay my bills on time. I can get a little overwhelmed with study and lock myself in my room but I really am always down for a good goss and a glass of wine. You can tend to find me making cocktails and singing along to Drake and Post Malone while I mention the next pair of sneakers I just HAVE to add to the collection. I'm looking for a place that I'm happy to come home to at the end of the day and be with friends!
We have a room available for in our home from the 1st of June, ideally for a couple, but singles welcome. The house is in the heart of East Melbourne on Victoria Parade, opposite Bunnings warehouse, seconds walk from the 12/109 trams, and over 6 bus routes. We are minutes walk from Richmond, Collingwood and Fitzroy, and surrounded by amenities. The room itself is HUGE, with a really high ceiling, natural light, and comes fully furnished if you'd like it to be (not as in the photo). It is currently furnished with a queen sized bed, bedside table, clothes rack, TV, dresser and knick-knack rack. The house has an awesome big backyard with a beautiful palm tree, herbs and spices, and is a great hangout space, along with our cozy lounge. The shower has one of the best water pressures you will have ever experienced, and is equipped with a washing machine. The kitchen is big with a plenty of cooking space, ample fridge and dry goods space, and even a coffee machine! You will be sharing the house with 3 others between 24-27 years old, and we are looking for someone around this age, too. We all have varied schedules but share many interests and have a fantastic, friendly and inviting vibe which we aim to maintain! We are looking for someone to add to this small family who is well house-trained/knows how to live with others, and would like to socialize on occasion when our schedules allow for it. We love to hang out when we are all free. The room is $1250, and priced for couples, with a bond of $1100. We would also accept a single person for $1083. Bills around $50 a month, give or take. So, if you tick the boxes, send us a little intro about you both, what you do and what you are all about :) We will start showing the house next week.
I am looking for a private, unfurnished room to move into ASAP: Abbotsford, Collingwood, Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Carlton North, Richmond etc. -Happy to pay up to $250 (more if the place is right). -Must have a parking space (either on street permit or off street). -would prefer own bathroom or only sharing with one other ABOUT ME: I am 23 and work for a pharmaceutical company in Abbotsford, in clinical trials. I like keeping active and am a bit of a yogi, but I also enjoy a good donut or five. Enjoy going on adventures and love trying out new cafes/restaurants. Partial to an espresso martini or two, a good cheese and wine night or a relaxed night in watching Netflix. I also enjoy lying in the sun reading books.....Looking for a house where the housemates enjoy spending time together, but of course also respectful of people's privacy and schedules. I'm neat and tidy and hope you are too. I have lived in share houses for the past five years. Message me if you'd like to know more, looking forward to hearing from you :) ALSO: I have a nice modern fridge, a 42in TV, a vacuum and iron/ironing board, that I can bring to the house if needed, but if not can store elsewhere.
Hey! I’m a Mexican girl (22 years old) who’s doing a Marketing internship in Melbourne starting this July! I lived in England for a year, sharing a flat with 5 other people, so I’m really used to sharing a place to live. I am a clean, organised, and nice girl who loves going out with friends at night, but also loves staying home and watching Netflix.
Im Scottish, moving to Melbourne indefinitely on the 189 visa as a management accountant. I love travelling, currently in South East Asia travelling round Thailand and Vietnam for a couple months before landing in Melbourne in early June! Follow a few sports so will be taking advantage of the many live sports in Melbourne, followed the Storm for years and will no doubt get sucked into AFL as well. I’ve various other interests I try to stay involved with as time allows and love trying new things. I’m generally a tidy person who cleans up after myself without being OCD about everything being spotless. Appreciate my own space at times but I’m making the move alone so would be cool to find someone who likes to hang out sometimes as well.
Hi! I’m looking to move first week of June. Ideally, I want a decent space for the room, and my own bathroom. I’m working full time in the city, 5-6 days so I’m pretty busy. I’m looking for a place which is ideally close to public transport, and unfurnished. I enjoy watching footy and cricket, going to the gym and also travelling. I like going out on the weekends but also don’t mind staying in and sharing dinner/watching Netflix with housemates. 😉 I do work Saturdays so can do inspections after 6pm or sundays. If you have a room that you think would be suitable for me, please contact me- I’ll try to get back as soon as I can. Thank you! 😊
Hi, I am clean and tidy, and prefer if others i will be sharing with are the same. I am social, but respect others personal space. I don't mind small gatherings or parties, but i just need people to be mindful of time. However, i am not a loud person or a party person, i prefer to meet people for dinner or hang out outside of the house. I love to cook and bake :) so the house will need to have a gas stove and an oven. I am great with animals, i love them, so its a plus for me if there are animals in the house. Open communication is important to me, i prefer if people tell me what i did wrong, so that we can solve the issue then and there, and not let it escalate after. I will do the same, i will politely let you know if something had bothered me, so that we can look for a compromise/solution. I work at a cafe, so i will hardly be home during the day, but i do wake up a bit early, and i have an alarm set for that. i cant wake up without my alarm. If there is anything else you need to know, please ask me. Som
We’re mates who have lived in North Melbourne for the past year after moving over from Perth. Shaun’s full time post graduate student at RMIT and works casually at Pullman Hotel and I’m working full time for Cricket Australia. We are easy going guys who love a laugh. Looking to meet a legend or 2 to live with. We love watching Netflix, footy and some good banter. We have a good mix of work and play and don’t mind a casual beer on the weekend. We are pretty social and would love to be good mates with who we live with. Keen to live with fun and respectful people. Our lease ends in mid July and we’re keen for a change of scenery!

If you've read till this point and think that we share common values and interests, I would be happy to share living space with you! I'm a friendly relaxed guy, clean, always down for interesting conversation. I'm a tech nerd so I have a decent amount of gaming/home theatre gear to soup up the livelihood of the home. I'm a full time IT system analyst for a government department and have no issues paying rent on time. As for my hobbies, I'm a traveler, photographer, explorer, music fiend and video gamer. Also love beer and coffee. I love to go camping, music festivals, and would love a hit of tennis or a gym sesh. I'm looking for (at minimum) a decently sized room that will fit a double/queen bed and a small desk. Cheers!
I’m easy going, clean and likes to chat but also have some alone time. Not a party person, rather chill and relax with occasional drinks. Loves to drink good coffee and can brew some perfect shots. I’m from Thailand but I used to study primary school in Sydney till year 5. Currently a scholarship student starting semester 2 at UniMelb as a master student soon this July.
