Hey there, I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science very soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a happy, squeaky clean and a trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you! PS: I love both dogs and cats (although I'm allergic to cats) and I would strongly prefer a smoke-free house.
Heya peeps! Thanks for swinging pat my profile and considering me to be your room mate! I am a young but mature 21 year old male who entered the work force early. Now even though I am a Sydney boy, I have recently been promoted to a full time Sales Consultant Postition down in Canberra. And now I'm left scrabbling around for last minute accomodation. I am looking for something long term with awesome, down to earth, and sociable room mates. My hobbies are anything that occupies my time and I'm really not much of a static person but rather more of a hard worker or someone who always involves themselves in charitable work, and giving back to the community sort of thing. So if I'm the room mate that you're looking for, give me a yell!
I am a very independent, tidy person. Having lived in shared accommodation before I know how to clean up after myself and will be conscientious and respect the privacy of other room mates. I am a generally quiet person but love to sit down with friends for a chat at the end of the day. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and reading when I have the chance. I'm a bit of a creative so I'll almost always be drawing or painting something. I work full time in Kingston at Crowe Horwath.
Hi, my name is Jamie and I've just moved up to Canberra from Victoria to be a public servant and looking for a place to live. I enjoy reading, comedy and improvisation, maths, music, playing/watching sports and generally doing new things. I've lived in 3 share houses before and never had an issue with any of my previous roommates. If you would like to know more about me, get in touch.
My name is Bella, I'm 22 and I currently work full time in a consulting firm in Fyshwick. I love to cook, am clean, and love to socialise, but can understand if people need their own space. I am in need of somewhere new to live in Canberra for me and my fatlord of a cat. I'm trying to see if there were anyone people out there who are happy with living with said fatlord, who would be interested in seeking out a new lease in a pet friendly property. Alternatively, if you have a friendly house with a bedroom than needs filling, please let me know! I'd be happy to live with 1-3 other people, and live anywhere from inner north to weston creek or woden, or queanbeyan. I also have a toilet trained boyfriend who will visit. Hope to hear from you soon!
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. You can expect me to keep my area tidy and clean, contribute to my fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I'm an easy going guy, here to work full time as a Concrete tester at different construction sites around Canberra. Friendly and polite, Tidy up after myself so I wont leave the place in a mess. From the country and enjoy living a fit and healthy lifestyle. I'm sociable but not to a point that would cause any problems
I'm sad to say I'll be leaving my beautiful home in Narrabundah as I'm headed for Melbourne for uni, move in dates are negotiable but ASAP is preferred :) A bit about why I love this place so much... Location location location!! Our home is a situated in a beautiful leafy street walking distance to Manuka, Kingston, Kingston foreshore and Griffith. It's a 5 minute walk to the Fyshwick markets for all of your fresh food shopping on the weekend and Narrabundah shops for restaurants, your local grocer, a community garden and a cute little op shop with lots of cute vintage finds too. Civic and Woden are both a 10 min drive. There's an oval a couple of blocks down the street and beautiful walks around the place with forrest-y feels and a creek too! There's much to explore! The house: The house itself is a gorgeous spacious and modern home with old-school charm. We have a big back yard with a BBQ, fire bin and veggie patch. The house has central heating essential for Canberra's winters and summers, the living room is huge with big windows that bring in gorgeous morning sun, the place is fully equipped (the photos are old, we have a TV now!) but there's always room for more stuff and there's extra storage in the garage too. The room: The room is a good size and fits my queen bed, TV, two sets of large drawers and a bedside table with heaps of room to spare for those who want a desk and extra furniture. It has built in wardrobes and a big window that looks onto the garden.
Charming renovated house with backyard, 1 minute walk to Narrabundah shops and bus stop. You'd have a large bedroom with BIR, separate living spaces, fast internet, reverse-cycle air conditioner, carport, patio, garden, and shed for storage. The room is unfurnished and the house is fairly furnished (has room for some extra furniture). Electricity/internet bills are split depending on usage; two week bond and the need to inform the property manager of your details (do not need to go on the lease).
We love to keep our spaces clean and if you choose to team up with us, you will be coming back to a clean and fresh common space everyday. Basic hygiene will be well taken care of. You might even be in for home cooked food (baked, grilled and steamed) and the occasional pan-fried. Socially, we can be both self-contained and sociable, depending on your preference. I am into social sector and will be actively volunteering in Canberra. David has a background in writing, IT and policy and will be reentering the Australia workforce.
Hi, I am an engineer by profession who is moving to Canberra from Dubai. I will be a full time employee with ACT Health and my workplace will be in Symonston therefore looking for an accommodation in a nearby area so I can walk or use Public transport to reach my workplace until I get a Car.
Hey! Ill be starting my uni degree in forensic science and justice studies in August. I'm quite, clean and very friendly. I tend to get along with anyone. I keep to myself a lot. Although, I don't mind spending a few nights together or having a chat. I'm young and creative and enjoy just hanging around watching Netflix or doing some baking. Always been a Canberra gal, im not a loud person nor am I a partier. That doesn't stop me from the one off nights where I might wanna go out. I'd be down with hanging around having a few drinks. I have a small inside dog, everyone adores him, his a great dog who gets along with other animals too.
House proud, quiet, easy going and respectful of others privacy and need for peaceful household. Work shift work so either not around in the morning or night and most weekends. All my own furnishing in store interstate and won't be seeking them for a while.
I have been living in canberra for around 6 years now, originally from Brazil and was raised in Ireland. Due to my family unfortunately moving back to Ireland I am looking to move out! I am very easy to get along with! and have always had a thing about tidying up after myself! I am a very clean person :) I am looking for a place with other females!
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney and will be joining a company in Braddon on 5/6/2017. I'm planning to stay in Canberra only 4 week nights (from Monday to Thursday) as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend. Occasionally I might stay for the weekend. Also I'm looking for a furnished room with an ensuite or separate bathroom (not a shared bathroom). Rent per week - $ negotiable depending on the location..
I'm an easy going tradie. Early riser to take my female Husky for morning walks. Outdoorsy kinda guy with a 4x4 Ute and a dirt bike. I can cook alright, keep to myself mostly, but like a good social drink and or a chat. Keep a clean room, but can put up with a bit for clutter. Love to try learn new things, and will also be getting back in to the gym once settled. Looking for a place for a minimum of 6 months for my pup and I.
My name is Mike, I'm originally from Toronto, Canada. I've been living in Australia for 4 years and received my Juris Doctor from UC - I graduated at the end of last year. I'm currently working in Kingston and would love to find a place close by. I'm easy going, mostly keep to myself, but don't mind a chat, tidy, respectful, reliable. Just an all round decent guy really haha kidding...but seriously.
I am moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I already own enough house essentials (fridge, washing machine, lounge etc) to set up a home, I just need housemate/s to help pay the rent. I am only looking for housemates for a team up so we can rent a house together. I have lived in share houses for the last 15 years. I like a housemate/s who enjoy the community of a house and are willing to share meals and explore Canberra together. I am looking for housemates with secure employment and preferably somewhat near my age. I like board games, computer games, binge watching TV shows (Netflix etc), but also like to ride mountain bikes. I shall be in Canberra from the 10th of July and hope to move into a house in the next 3 weeks. I am happy to talk over email before then, and meet in person once I arrive in Canberra. I don't smoke or do drugs, and am happy to drink on occasions. I identify as LGBTI (m2f transgender). The suburbs I have listed are more of a suggestion, and am willing to consider other suburbs.
I'm 23 and just finishing up my degree. Working part time at the moment, and about to start working full-time at the end of the year. I love to travel and am searching for a place to live in August when I get back from a year in America and Europe. In my spare time I love to go out with friends, do brunch, drink wine, play video games, and watch trashy TV. I love animals, especially dogs, and would prefer a pet-friendly house (although I don't have any pets just yet). I am friendly and easygoing, and would love an environment I can relax in but can also have fun with everyone when we feel like it. I'm looking for flatmates to become a little family with seeing as I don't know that many people in Canberra any more. I'd love to either join a current house or start a new house with like-minded people. I'm looking for a preferably mixed-gender house full of people who would be happy to have a chat after work and share some wines over dinner. I also love to bake desserts so would love people who would eat what I bake so I don't end up eating it all myself! Please feel free to send me a message if you'd be interested in living together
I am 27 years old and I consider myself a social and easy going person originally from the USA. I get along with everyone and enjoy meeting up with friends for dinner or for some drinks out in the town. I am a primary school teacher who enjoys exercise and spending time having a chat with others but I also enjoy chilling in my room watching Netflix after a big day at work. I'm hoping to find a roommate(s) that I can build a strong friendship with who would be happy to go out to dinner, catch a movie or have a chat over a glass of wine from time to time.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and adjustable and usually get along just fine. I like to socialize but at the same time respect your individual space. Really love to cook and play sports (cricket, football). Would preferably look for an accommodation near the city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
Considerate, respectful of others and fun - enjoy a wine, a chat, dinner - a bit of everything really :) I work full-time in Civic as well. Importantly, I have an awesome dalmatian - so any place I consider must have secure fencing and easy access to inside/outdoors. Thanks.
I'm 32 from the UK and have just recently moved to Canberra. I'm looking for something long term and a housemate who's fun and likes to have a laugh. I'm easy going, enjoy cooking and like to have the odd glass of wine. l'm tidy, respectful and also enjoy the occasional hike.
I consider myself to be clean, honest, considerate, courteous, responsible, capable, non judgemental and mature for my age. I get on well and feel comfortable with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I enjoy both my own time to rest and recharge as well as socialising when possible. I have been fortunate enough to secure an apprenticeship at the place I wished to work at near the Kingston foreshore. My job and its location are excellent as are my co-workers. We get on very well and like to get together and socialise occasionally. So I am happy, content, easy going and focused on my job and future. I just need to be able to find a place to share with like minded people, much closer to work, as soon as possible, in order to avoid the 3hr per day commute that has plagued me for the last 11 months (and my life would be almost perfect).
I am currently cycle touring around Australia (since March) and will be coming back to Canberra in August. I am looking for a place (preferably furnished) in the Inner South as I have put all my furniture in storage. I work full time and am reasonably mature. I can be quiet at times but do also like to be social and enjoy the occasional drink with flatmates. I think I am reasonably clean and neat and would hope for the same with anyone I an sharing with. I'm fairly keen on cycling and a large part of my social life is taken up with that. The only thing I need space for is 3 bicycles (2 of which could probably go in my room). I don't have a car (do all my commuting by bike/walking or car share - so a car space is not an issue for me. Oh and that terrible hair growth on my face goes when I get back from my trip. Having never gone more than 3 days without shaving I was curious to see what would result. :-)
2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment for short term rent (July to September, can be flexible with dates). Walking distance to Kingston and Manuka. Fully furnished, but plenty of space if you need to store anything extra. Double bed in main room, couch and room for a bed in second bedroom. Internet (20gb/month) is included. Off street visitor parking and one secure car park available. Happy to provide other details/photos.
Resort style living. The room has a great view overlooking Capital golf course. Very quiet at the rear of the Madison apartments away from street noise. Only minutes from Manuka. Kingston and Griffith shops. The room is large and is a combined bedroom / living area. There are two other living areas in the apartment, two bathrooms, two balconies and an updated Bosch kitchen. The apartment has reverse cycle air conditioning. Within the apartment complex there is a gym, swimming pool, tennis court and BBQ area. A two minute walk to the bus stop where the 4 or 5 bus goes directly to the City or Woden. Five kms from Parliament House and close to Narrabundah college, St Edmund's and St Clare's colleges and Fyshwick markets. A 10 minutes drive to the airport and five minutes to the train station.
Beautiful unit located in a wonderful position. Close to old Kingston shops and a short stroll to the Foreshore. Ground floor which means separate access from the street, this makes for a feeling of independence from the apartment building.
