My name is Latifa. I have a full time job working in the Defense sector and need a place to share for min 6-9 months. I am clean, tidy and quiet and respectful of others. Non smoker. I like to cook and tend to eat at home on weeknights. Happy to share house hold chores to keep the place tidy. I own property in Perth and my family lives in Perth. I am relocating to Canberra 2nd week of May. Looking for a room to share where parking is a possibility (Okay with off-street parking, as long as there is no time limit on parking) and with easy access to public transport to Russell Offices. I have temporary accommodation sorted, so looking for a share house with long term potential. Happy to provide character references from colleagues and friends in Perth as well as a work colleague from Canberra.
Full time Communications/IT/Security guy, and part time long distance uni student, working from home as an advance staff member for my company, before a new office is organised. I'm quiet and independent, but more than happy to socialise when housemates want to. Open minded and accepting of all walks of life. If there's animals, especially a dog or two, I'm a very happy camper. I've lived in 3 share houses in Perth, since 2010, with the same group of people. They were complete strangers to begin with, but have since become very close friends, so I know the ropes of living with other people. Very much a neat and tidy person, especially in shared spaces - no point in creating hassles when it's so easy to keep things clean. Couldn't really care less about smoking (i.e I don't smoke, but don't care if others do), same goes for partying, unless there's a complete consensus with all other housemates. I'm good with a pair of gloves, a spade and watering can. Same goes for power tools, and generally fix most things myself, when the need arises. More than happy to allow the professionals/landlords to do this instead though. If you've got issues with a computers, or even basic motoring/bike stuff, I'm pretty good with that stuff too. Basically a jack of many trades and willing to use these skills. During down time, I love a good bourbon/cider/beer and BBQ, pretty good at marinating a bunch of different types of meat too. Throw some good 90's music, or anything that's been played on Triple J for the last 20 years, and I'm pretty happy. Back in WA, I loved throwing myself and my mountain bike down a trail. I enjoy going to the gym, I'm no crazy junky, but I do enjoy keeping myself fit. I own an X-Trail, that doesn't exactly go overly fast, but get's me out and about into bush land, where camping is very much desired. Drop us a bell, and let me know what's going :)
Hi everyone looking at this I work full time, spend my free time PC gaming and would ideally like someone with similar interests, but it's not necessary. Hoping to come out of this with a friend and not just a flat mate. I come from a boarding school background, so I'm well versed in shared accommodation. I'm young and responsible, looking to push my way into the rental market and get some history behind me. Please let me know if you'd be interested in meeting for a coffee to discuss what the future may hold. Thanks :)
Fantastic, naturally-lit house in a quiet street 12 minutes drive / 27 minute bus ride from Civic. Back yard with veggie garden, front yard with large trees & bushes. Barbecue out the back, quick walk to the lake, very close to Kingston Bus Depot Markets on Sundays and Manuka shops & restuarants whenever you feel like it! Ducted reverse-cycle air keeps the whole house warm in winter and cool in summer.
We love to keep our spaces clean and if you choose to team up with us, you will be coming back to a clean and fresh common space everyday. Basic hygiene will be well taken care of. You might even be in for home cooked food (baked, grilled and steamed) and the occasional pan-fried. Socially, we can be both self-contained and sociable, depending on your preference. I am into social sector and will be actively volunteering in Canberra. David has a background in writing, IT and policy and will be reentering the Australia workforce.
I am a 22 year old who works full-time in the health field. I am clean and tidy as well as respectful for communal spaces. I am reliable and happy to pull my weight in relation to household chores. I am quite sociable and happy to have a glass of wine and a chat after work. I am also respectful of personal space. I would prefer a room with my own bathroom/ensuite. I currently have a lot of my own furniture from a previous sharehouse and would love to bring these along with me. I would also be happy to start a new sharehouse/ be interested in a team up I would prefer close to The Canberra Hospital. I have no pets myself but I am an animal lover so it wouldn't bother me if the household had pets.
I'm neat and tidy, mature, professional (10 years+ in the APS), quiet but friendly, and likely to be away many weekends.
On a short secondment for 2 months in Canberra until end of June. Looking for a place that is ideally furnished for short term rent. I work full time during the week and most weekends I'm out. Have lived in share houses before and have a real estate reference.
Hi. I have just recently moved from Melbourne to Canberra for work (I'm a teacher - don't let that put you off!) and study (I'm doing my Master's in Asian and Pacific Studies at ANU). I'm an easy going person with a bright and bubbly personality. I've left all my furniture behind in Melbourne so I'm hoping to move into a fully furnished apartment/house - but happy to buy my own bedroom furniture if needed. I grew up in a large family (9 kids) so I know how to share.
Hi, I am moving from Sydney to Canberra for full time work. I just finished my PhD. I'm 30 (but a young 30), I am a very happy, bubbly and tidy person. I am single and have lived in many share houses before so I am very respectful in terms of privacy and noise. Looking for an easy going share house. Moving in the 6th or 7th of May would be ideal. Hope to hear back, Thanks, Elle.
I'm an easy going student commencing at ANU in February and I'm looking for a place to rent close by or at least convenient to get to by bus/foot/bike! I lived in a boarding house prior to this and am aware of the general etiquette involved in a shared environment! I'm a sociable person however and respectful of others and sensitive to their space! Thankyou
I am a public servant and go away most weekends to the coast. I am a clean and tidy person and am very easy to get along with. I like cooking and am willing to chip in with the chores. I am also very happy to chat, socialise and relax with a glass of wine after dinner.
I am a mature, professional woman. I respect others' privacy and I always leave the kitchen clean. I am quite happy to help out others - like walking the dog. My preferred length of stay and start date is flexible. I would prefer my own bathroom, but that's not a deal breaker. I am happiest in a warm home with lots of natural light and outdoor space. Ideally, I would be in an inner suburb.
Happy, easy going, clean, enjoy cooking, reliable - especially with rent & bills. Moving from Sydney to Canberra to be closer to family. I have a precious motorbike as well as a car so some garage space for the bike and some tools would be appreciated. Thanks for looking at my profile.
Hello all, I am a 27 year old APS lawyer looking for somewhere to stay for approximately three months while I try to find employment interstate. I am an avid nerd of all things musical and political. I like to spend my free time keeping active, mostly with long distance cycling and going to the gym. I am reasonably social, but can also appreciate others' needs for personal space. I also like to keep things clean and neat. If you have something you think would suit, let me know - I'd love to take a look!
Hello, I am currently looking for a room around Kingston or nearby suburb. I am currently studying, doing my internship, and working part-time. I am easy going, friendly, tidy and adheres to house rules. I have experienced flat sharing in Singapore for many years before coming to Australia to start a new journey. I have a bubbly personality. Most of the time I will be busy due to studies, work, and internship, but I can still mingle with housemates at dinner or whenever I can. :)
Moving back to Canberra!!! I am a gym junky and love the outdoors! I am a coast girl so im chilled and laid back. Love my netflix. ❤ Love to cook! Love a good cup of tea. I Am clean and respectful of others.
My flatmate is leaving over seas for 6 months for work and is renting his room while he is gone. It's a large spacious apartment fully furnished with your own bathroom. All bills and internet are included and there is a gym, pool and tennis courts.
Looking for a housemate in a spacious and modern 2 bedroom apartment in Kingston. The room available easily fits a queen size bed, bed side tables and room for TV. The room also provides a double wardrobe with plenty of storage and hanging space. You would have your own bathroom, secure carspace and there in also lock up storage. The living, dining and kitchen area is open plan which flows on to a large balcony with fantastic views, the perfect spot to enjoy and glass of wine or a beer. Laundry with dryer is within the unit. As my current housemate is moving out and will likely take a lot of furniture with her, i will be looking adding to the common area's. If you have furniture or appliances, i am happy to accommodate. The location is in the perfect spot in Kingston. Situated on a quiet street and only a quick stroll from the Green Square Shops or the Kingston Foreshore. Manuka is also a short walk away.
Located on the desirable Kingston Foreshore, the property is a brand new, two story penthouse apartment, has a spectacular view and a huge outdoor living space. It is a 2 minute walk to all the shops, restaurants, bars and cafes along the Esplanade and is a walkable distance from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Parliament House. Public transport is also easily accessible from this location. My partner and I share the master bedroom and en suite, and we are looking to fill the other two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are a good size, and have spacious built-in wardrobes. Bedroom One is $270 and includes the room (furnished if need be), shared main bathroom, and ample storage space. Bedroom Two is $350 and includes the room (furnished if need be), shared main bathroom, undercover car park, and use of the storage cage in the garage. The living area is open-plan and fully furnished, and kitchen is completely stocked.
Looking for a great Townhouse in the perfect location??? Look no further.... Two Bedroom - Two Bathroom Townhouse: You will have your own bathroom and also car space in the secure garage. Room is not furnished. The Living area is mostly furnished with couches, TV, Fridge, Washing Machine, Microwave, Dishwasher, Induction Cooktop & Oven, BBQ & also Apple TV with access to Netflix. Internet is included in the Rent. Let me know if you have any furniture you wish to bring to the pad. Electricity is not included in the rent and is split equally every quarter. The new house mate would be required to sign a new lease.
Beautiful cottage in Kingston - period charm with modern conveniences (gas cooking, central heating + fireplace and north facing sunny deck!). The available bedroom is unfurnished. The rest of the house is comfortably furnished (though we can always find room for your favourite chair or bookcase!). There is a large living room with working fireplace, separate kitchen with dishwasher, modern electric oven with gas stovetop (as well as working Aga - wood fired pizzas are a treat!) and all the important kitchen things (even a spiraliser!). Bonus points if you have a sodastream as we just lost ours with our departing flatmate! There's one bathroom with bath and very good shower head; separate toilet. Also a seperate (and massive) laundry with washer and dryer. Ducted heating is perfect to get through the canberra winter and air conditioning for the summer. Huge backyard is great for lazy garden-parties; there is a deck which turns into a great extra room during summer, fig and apple trees, as well as veggie patches and a garage for any extra storage. The house is a short stroll to Kingston shops (5 minutes from a great IGA, several restaurants and the famed Penny University) and the foreshore (more brunch spots including Local Press and so many restaurants you'll never need to cook). It is directly across the road from large park & oval and within easy walking distance to the parliamentary triangle (less than 20 minutes walk) though there are also easily accessible major bus routes nearby. There's a long driveway and garage for off-street parking and 24h street parking as well. Internet is unlimited and $20 per month; bills are split equally. Although we have a lovely little cat and all love cats ourselves we can't have any more due to cat-socialisation issues so if you have a feline friend this is sadly not the place for you. If you have other pets (rabbits, fish, birds etc) we're open to discussion but any additional animals would have to fit in with the existing feline ruler.
Hi! Looking for a short term roomie... The apartment sits on the top floor in a secure building, it has a balcony and large combined living area. No parking (but there are ways around that). Pretty convenient to it all. Everything is either new or less than 6 months old so just furnish your room as you like. Bedroom has wooden blinds and mirror built in wardrobe. As long as you don't have a massive bed frame, should be big enough for a queen bed (the air mattress in the photo is a queen) and small bedside.
