Hi! 😊 I’m Andi, 28, currently looking for a new place to call home and hopefully some like-minded housemates to go with it. I’m pretty easygoing and live a fairly active lifestyle, I love surfing (been hooked since my early 20s), go to the gym occasionally, enjoy indoor rock climbing, or more recently… playing golf (my coworkers dragged me into it after I injured my leg and couldn’t surf for a bit). I also enjoy camping, cooking, and hanging out with friends when I get the chance. I’m recently single after a five-year relationship (someone managed to put up with me that long, so I must be at least semi-decent to live with 😅). I don’t smoke and would prefer a smoke-free indoors vibe, but I don’t mind if people smoke outside. As for work, I’m full-time in hospitality and ops support for a national bar/restaurant franchise. It’s a mix of bartending and behind-the-scenes stuff like logistics and admin. My schedule is pretty flexible — but I tend to work 10am–6pm weekdays with the occasional weekend bar shift. I also started learning Indonesian a couple of years ago and still take the odd class here and there. Food-wise,(not sure if it matters to anyone) I eat mostly vego, mainly just prefer not to eat store-bought meat from mass production but I definitely don’t mind what others eat. I’m hoping to find a home not just a place to crash. I’d love to live with people who are open to the occasional hangout, shared meal, or surf/gym/climbing session, while still respecting each other’s space and downtime. I'm not a big drinker, but will have a couple with friends sometimes. I am looking to create a home, not just a sharehouse, so I would love to live with someone who would also like to create an enjoyable space to be in. Myself and my two dogs (6 year old Kelpie X and 12 year old Staghound) are relocating from the Blue Mountains and looking for a sharehouse with like-minded flatmates who value cleanliness, good communication, and the occasional movie night, board game or shared meal. My dogs are well trained and friendly, the Kelpie has lots of energy but also enjoys chilling out during the day. They are indoor/outdoor dogs. I will have to go away for fieldwork from time to time so I would be looking for housemates who wouldn't mind taking care of them with a dog-walker paid to take them out daily, or alternatively I will need to get a pet sitter in when I am away. My Kelpie has been trained to help catch cats for conservation work so isn't suitable to live with cats. In my spare time I enjoy running with my kelpie or getting out in nature, bird watching as well as mountain biking, yoga and rock climbing. At home I get a bit crafty, knitting, crochet etc and love gardening. I am looking for houses north of the river with a secure backyard for the pups. I'd love to hear from you if you have a room available or you are like-minded and would be interested in finding a new house together.
