I am moving to Canberra at the start of 2018 for work and am looking for somewhere to live. I am friendly, tidy and reliable and love all pets (i have none of my own). Preferably looking for a place with 1-3 housemates.
Hello! I’m a professional that works full time, pretty tidy, can make delicious food and cocktails and am a very drama free person. I’m an outgoing introvert, so I love company, but will need my own space to chill and recharge at times. I’m well travelled and have been living in Canberra for almost 2 years, but have been away for work almost a year of that collectively. I technically don’t have any pets yet, but my sister has a cat she’s caring for that I’d love to adopt and love animals in general. So I’m definitely pro-pets. I'd prefer a non-smoking and drug-free household, and while I don’t consider myself a clean freak, would prefer to keep the communal areas pretty clean (dishes in the dishwasher and not left in the sink for days, no popcorn left in the couch... you know, the usual stuff). I’ve got enough furniture for a 2 bedroom apartment but am looking to upgrade to a house and share with people to reduce my rent spendings so I can hopefully afford a house deposit and smashed avo’s on toast. I’m looking to share with cool professionals that are respectful of space but happy to share the occasional meal and a glass of wine. UPDATE: I've teamed up with someone and we're looking for a bigger house in the inner south. We'd be looking for one or two more people to team up with. The idea would be to have a spare bedroom regardless (so a 4 bedroom house for 3 people, 5 bedrooms for 4) and have a couple of living spaces. We'd also be looking for people that would be pro-paying for a cleaner once a month and are good with both dogs and cats.
Hi. My name is Sue. I'm moving from rural WA to study full-time in Canberra for an academic year. Professionally I am a Registered Nurse/Midwife and will work a little to support myself. I am easy going and quiet, clean and tidy, and I enjoy walking, horse riding and meeting with friends. As I am moving interstate I am looking for a furnished room preferably en-suite.
Hi there, I’m currently looking at moving to Canberra from Western NSW to work as a Drone Technician/Pilot. Looking to find a place to stay or find some cool people to team up with to organise a flat. Bit of background on me, I’m a 20 near 21 year old guy from a farm near Nyngan, NSW. I’m a big tinkerer, love working with technology and robots/drones. I’m big on mountain biking and do most other sports and like keeping fit. I love reading and watching the odd movie and tv show. A big passion of mine is travelling and photography/video editing, especially with drones. I like to think that I’m a reasonable cook but I will definitely be referring to my mother haha. I like being social and look forward to making some new friends, but I do appreciate downtime and I especially know how to give people space. Anyway just let me know if you would be interested in sorting something out. Cheers Marcus
I'm moving to Canberra from Perth in order to commence a graduate position with the APS. I'm friendly and get along with different personalities. I like to explore so will be out most weekends. I enjoy going to gigs and the beach in my spare time and am planning on moving my car with me so that I can go on day trips once I'm settled in.
I work full time for Federal Government and I've been in Canberra since Feb this year. I am single, I stick to my room and am a considerate, and clean housemate. I'm a musician and a gamer, however I won't play music loudly unless you're not home. I don't eat meat. I have the most beautiful, gentle and sweet adult cat, who is impeccably trained and thus is easy to live with. I also have a 9 month old kitten, who is a total sweetheart. I keep a tidy home. I love coffee and do enjoy a drink, but I don't host any parties. I'm serious about having a place with good internet, air conditioning and heating. Importantly, I'm willing to do all the ground work to find a pet friendly house that isn't too far from Civic. Ideally I am looking for a housemate that is around my own age or older. If you feel like we'd work as housemates, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am moving to Canberra in late January to begin a graduate role in the APS. I am clean and tidy and am willing to help around the house. In my spare time I enjoy reading or playing sport, particularly cricket and field hockey, but enjoy most sports. I am considerate and I think easy to get along with and am hoping to meet people in Canberra. Let me know if I would be a good fit for your place.
Hi, I'm moving to Canberra early in the new year to start a new job. I'm a journalist, and outside work I follow sport (especially AFL and cricket), love reading and Netflix, eat a fair bit of brunch. I've been in sharehouses for many years, so I know how to clean up after myself, and know when is a good time to chat/leave people to themselves.
I’m friendly, clean, considerate and respectful of privacy. I spend the weekdays working hard and the evenings out with friends or relaxing at home with my dog. I’m a courier driver originally from Manchester, England but have been here for nine years now and call it home. I love spending time with decent people, listening to music, playing the drums, guitar or ukulele and having a drink and a laugh.
Hey flatmate hunters! I'm looking for a flatmate to team up with to find a place. I've lived in Canberra for the past couple of years, working in international affairs. Before that, I was overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years working with a human rights NGO. Don't judge me, but I'm originally from Adelaide. I'm pretty active and love being outdoors - playing sport, camping, hiking, snowboarding (not always well!). I love watching football (round and oval ball), and binging on netflix. I've just finished season 4 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so open to suggestions!! What I'm looking for... Ideally I'm looking to team up with one other person to find a 2 or 3 bed place in the inner south. I'm in the process of getting a Border Collie puppy, so I'm looking for somewhere with a reasonable sized courtyard/backyard which allows pets and a housemate who likes dogs. I'm willing to pay up to $300pw. I’d like to live in a house that feels more like a home, with someone who's keen to hang out and socialise, but who wont get offended when I occasionally look to chill on my own! I’ve got a few bits and pieces of furniture - though anyone in possession of a washing machine will be highly regarded! ☺ Give me a shout if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat! Cheers, Trystan
Hi, My name is Nicollette, I am an easy going 21-year-old female who will be working full time as a registered nurse and looking for a place to stay (All female) for roughly one year. I am clean and tidy but not overly pedantic. I’m always up for a chat, dinner or drinks, not a big party person either and respectful of others personal space. I will also be bringing a small budgie-sized bird with me who won’t be any trouble :) I am looking to move in early February so please send me a message if interested.
We are both ANU medical students with busy lives, who have been housemates for two years. We are respectful, quiet, communicative and great at sharing duties around the house. We'll stay out of your hair, but love the occasional housemate dinner. We have lots of experience living with people from all walks of life, and get along well with just about anyone. When we're not studying, Will likes acting and Phoebe enjoys a round of golf.

Hey I'm Steph and i'm from Melb but moving to Canberra to start a my job as a speech pathologist at Canberra Hospital in early Jan. I'm easy going, tidy, fun, polite, lover of dogs! don't mind a glass of wine with friends on the weekend or during the week, enjoy my own space yet happy to chat and watch tv or cook with other housemates!
Neat and tidy. My every day routine includes studying and research for work purposes, gaming or fitness. I could be a Great gym buddy if you are that way inclined. Can cook, clean, repair stuff and figure out why the net isnt working. Never have money problems. Non smoker and non gambler. Do like beer and wine though! (Not interested in house parties). (Ps, I am still not certain what my max budget is just yet).
I'm a relaxed, easy going guy who can get along with anyone. I like hanging out with friends, family, keeping fit and healthy and trying new things. I'm always respectful and courteous to those around me and like to find common grounds with anyone I meet. Please pm me if you think I would make a great fit with you :)
House is recently renovated in late 2014. The room available is partially north facing (3400 x 2935), unfurnished with a built-in wardrobe with sliding doors. House has great internet, heating and cooling, a big backyard (we have a gardener) with BBQ and outdoor eating area. Your room has nice afternoon sunlight with a window looking out to the backyard (pictured). Sharing the main bathroom (pictured) and toilet with 1 housemate. It's a great location which is very close to Manuka, Kingston, Narrabundah, Griffith shops & Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets. Close to bus stops. The house is kept clean and tidy (fortnightly cleaner), and we also have 2 German Shepards that are inside dogs
I'm a friendly person who likes hanging out with others but also enjoys being a bit of a homebody. I'm generally pretty organized and neat. I love playing video games, reading and doing some crafting. I also love pets though I have none myself so I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of a household with animals. I'll be moving up to Canberra in January 2018 from Melbourne to join an APS graduate program so I'll be working full time. I'm looking forward to exploring Canberra but also to catching up on my Netflix queue, I've been so busy this year I have lots to catch up on! I would bring my own bedroom furniture e.g. bed, side table etc. Move in date is flexible, anytime mid-late January or early February. I would also be willing to consider leases between 6 months and a year.
I'm a recent graduate moving into full-time work for the ACT Government. I'm looking for a room for a short-term lease whilst I complete my job-specific training. I am clean, neat, and respectful, but I love to chat over a coffee or a glass of wine, cook dinner for my friends/flatmates, and am flexible with living arrangements. I have a passion for learning languages and keeping fit. I will be overseas for an internship until late Feb, but if I sound like a person you'd like to live with, let me know!
Hi Friend! My moving date is on mid-January 2018.i’m looking for an share house, preferred to be reasonable distance to UC. I love coffee, cooking, Netflix, and hanging out with friends. I love a good chat. I keep common areas tidy and pitch-in with house cleaning Ideally I'd like to pay less that $200 for rent and utilities, but for the right house and housemates I'd consider paying more.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. this is non negotiable too. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors (highly preferable, but could be overlooked if everything else was perfect) - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live with infants, young children, or a family/home stay style arrangement. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin, Dunlop, Harrison, or Crace - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
I'm an 23 year old bachelor graduated in hospitality management. I have been living in Sydney for 4 years and now moving to Canberra for a full time restaurant supervisor position. So if I can find a place in kingston it would be the best as I don't have a car at the moment. I'm gonna work 5-6 days a week and pretty busy with work but I like maintaining a social life. I always pay rent on time and keep thing tidy, wouldn't mind share the house cleaning with others :) I'm easy going and love to socialize with people. Won't hesitate for a chat and have a good time together but I also respect people privacy. I love music and movie and a pet lovers as well.
