I'm a pretty laid back, quiet, neat, tidy and friendly person. Looking for someone similar to share a house with, and I'd really prefer to team up and start a new house. I have a super chill labradoodle, who will be living with my folks, but might come for the occasional visit. I play soccer and AFL, so am out most evenings during the week for training and on weekends for games. In my downtime, I like to read and binge watch Netflix, and don't mind the odd spot of baking- just need somone to help me eat the treats I make! Happy to live with people of any age, gender ethnicity, sexuality etc :)
Hi! My names Mik, I’m 26 years old and I’ll be moving down to Canberra from Sydney mid-March as I’ve sold my soul to the Australian Public Service :). I’m looking for someone to team up with for a 2-bedroom place with a garage. I’ll be moving out of my current share house with most of the furniture so moving into a furnished place/room in an existing share house isn’t an option for me. On the upside, you won’t need to worry about a fridge, dining table or couches! I’d describe myself as a clean & respectful housemate who’s laid back & enjoys good company. I work full-time as an electrical engineer and outside of work I’m into rock climbing, scuba diving or just chilling at home with a good book. I also dabble in guitar & piano and am always up for a jam. If you'd like to know more about me/are interested in teaming up, feel free to shoot me a message.
I'm 28yrs old, full time employee working in a bank. Clean and tidy, Fun loving, love to eat and travel. Own PS3 and can play games all day. I also have a washing machine, dryer, microwave, fridge which I'm happy to share. If you already have all or any of these things, I'd need a place to store all this. Enjoys music and movies. Looking for flatmate who enjoys similar hobbies. I'm new in Canberra and don't know much about this place and would love to explore. Flatmate who can become a friend will be awesome. I can drink anything but not a regular drinker. Don't like smoking next to me. Love to chat but need quiet time as well. I own a motorbike and will need a secured garage to park my bike overnight. Contact me
Hi, I'm Grace! I'm looking to share a place somewhere in the inner South or inner North. I'm moving to Canberra in January to start work as a graduate in the public service. I am clean and tidy. I enjoy going for walks, reading a good book and photography. I am looking forward to socialising and getting to know my housemate, but also understand the need for personal space and alone time. Am looking forward to new experiences and meeting new people.
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
Hey I'm Dylan, a Canberra native in my mid-20s about to start a grad job with the Department of Health and looking to move a little closer to work. The job is a full-time position starting early February. Ideally I'd like to move late January but am very flexible with when this happens. I'm quite active and enjoy riding my bike, going to the gym and playing lots of soccer. I also like reading and playing guitar (or at least pretending I can). I am friendly but also fairly quiet. I enjoy socialising and quiet time in equal measures; I'm always up for a chat but also respectful of personal space. I like to be out and about but also enjoy a slow night in and am keen to try new things. Clean, considerate and chilled (the three Cs) and looking for a place with people who have similar values.
Easy going, active public servant looking for short-term accommodation to June/July before heading overseas on posting. House trained and will provide wine and cheese.
I am a hardworking professional who is clean and social. In my spare time I enjoy chatting with others with a glass of wine in hand, watching TV or trying to motivate myself to complete my Masters degree. Due to Personal circumstances, I will only be around a few days a week.
I'm a really friendly person who is clean and respectful of housemates. I work with the ACT gov currently but will be starting a graduate job with the federal gov in March. I'm looking for a sharehouse on the inner south side that is close to the bus line. I'd also prefer female housemates or a majority female house. I don't have much furniture- a queen bed, some boxes of books, clothes and kitchen stuff. If you need a certain item for me to contribute to the house, I'm very open to buying anything needed. Most importantly I'm looking for a home, a place where the housemates talk and hang out periodically would be great. A little about me: I have an architecture and project management background. I'm currently doing a Masters of Town Planning part time online. I'm from Melbourne and have lived in Canberra for a year (moved here with an ex) and still have much yet to see and do in this beautiful city. I'm very creative, I enjoy crochet and knitting to relax. I also enjoy camping, hiking and travel adventures. Send me a message if you think I might be a great fit for your sharehouse. Cheers, Olivia
I am a student from the University of Queensland looking for a place to stay during a one month internship in Canberra. I am originally from the UK, but doing a Bachelors Degree in Brisbane. I'm an easy-going and tidy individual, who loves to get out and explore the city that I'm in!
I'm looking for an easy going place to live with my 10 year old cat Steve. I'm a public servant, work full time. I enjoy playing tennis, swimming, reading, cooking & spending time with friends & family.
I have just finished my Honours year in archaeology. Moving to Canberra for a graduate role that begins mid-February with the National Library. I am 26 years old. Well travelled, quiet, and a laid-back individual that likes to both socialise and spend time alone. I love to cook (my current roommates say they will miss my cooking), I clean up after myself, and more than happy to pitch in etc. I enjoy a few social drinks after a long week, enjoy an occasional Netflix session or movie night, and I love my yoga. I have a Mazda 2. I am also a bit of a nerd. I'm looking to share with people (male or female), close to Barton, or close enough to public transport to make that trip for work. I will be working full-time commencing mid-February 2017. Happy with a house, apartment, studio etc. I am looking for a shorter lease at this stage (6-9 months) while I settle in to Canberra, and look for a more permanent house where my beautiful Border Collie can join me eventually. If I find a suitable place straight away, I will be looking for a long term lease.
I'm moving to Canberra in early February (can move in earlier or later) to work full time in finance in the APS. I'm clean and tidy and enjoy cooking/baking. I love animals so I'm happy to live in a household with pets. I’m pretty active outside of work with volunteering for various causes and also enjoy hiking and other cool activities. On the other hand, I love a day at home just chilling out crafting, watching Netflix and cross stitching and am more than happy to have company when I’m at home. I'm considerate of other people's space but also enjoy socialising.
I'm a Scientist from Brisbane, moved to Canberra last May undertaking a career change. Currently employed as a project manager in Defence Infrastructure. I enjoy cooking, photography, PC and tabletop gaming, astronomy, snorkelling and camping. I'm a geek, I'm extroverted, handy with tools and I'm a reliable seasoned sharehouser. I have a queen bed, bookcases and need some office work space for my PC and hobbies. I have my own car and motorbike. I need a place by end of January.
Happy, down to earth and open minded - ideally I'd like to find a place with pets. I'm 25 and have lived in share houses since I was 18 so am well accustomed to shared living and understand the importance of communication and being respectful of fellow housemates. I am currently working 4 days a week at the Clean Energy Regulator while studying part-time at the ANU. If you'd like to know anything else feel free to ask.
I'm Josephine and I'm moving back to Canberra after some years in Sydney and rural NSW. I'm a full-time high school French teacher, and I'd love to live around the South Side of Canberra to commute to school. I've had some experience living in share houses. I think they're great because you get to meet new people. I'm a tidy, considerate housemate who is always willing to cook dinner, pitch in to clean up or enjoy a drink after work. As I am employed full time, I would be away from the house during the day. I enjoy reading and movies. I'm from a small town outside of Canberra so I'd be back there on the odd weekend too. I'd love to go to trivia nights or join a netball team this year too! If I sound like someone you'd like to live with, let me know :)
Hey guys, my name is Riley. I am moving down to Canberra from QLD, to work full-time with the APS. I consider myself a clean, easy-going and respectful person who is happy to socialise and spend time by myself, as well. I can pay rent or bond in advance.
Hi there :), Im a clean and tidy, social girl looking for a place to live with 2 or 3 others. Helloo! 24yo female moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for a new full-time position in the APS, and looking for a chilled but social household to join. Looking in the southern Canberra area, around Kingston/Forrest/Griffith but also flexible in that. Would like to think I'm a pretty relaxed and fun housemate who can keep things clean and tidy, and have a bit of household chat or banter but also have some quiet time. Have to admit to a love of coffee, and am keen to check out the social and cultural scene in Canberra. But also enjoy following news and current affairs, watching sport, keeping active and a little homemade cooking. Any questions just let me know! Fiona
Hi my name is Harsha and I am a 22 year old grad moving up to Canberra to join the APS. I'm a friendly, tidy and respectful person, who is looking forward to exploring Canberra.
I've been described as a highly social introvert, which means I like to keep busy and have a fairly active social life, but also love being on my own pottering away at whatever I've got going on. I'm clean and tidy, and used to accommodating the different personalities of share houses, and have experienced living with up to four others in recent years. I like to think I'm fairly socially conscious and compassionate, and care a lot about making our society a better place for the more vulnerable among us. I work full-time (public servant) and I also study part-time, so will spend a bit of time locked away doing that.
Originally from the Gold Coast moving to Canberra for work.Clean and tidy, quite sociable but do enjoy and respect personal space. Enjoy reading, health and fitness, relaxing with a few drinks and occasionally golfing.
Huge room available with ensuite. I have a queen bed in there at the moment and there is loads of room to move around it as you can see from the pictures. You will have access to the pool and private carpark for residence. Apartment is fully furnished but the bedroom is not. Apartment has aircon
Hey, I'm a 24-year-old professional looking to move into a friendly place in the inner south or inner north of Canberra. I'm a Canberra native, currently working in the media industry in Griffith. I'm pretty laid back, enjoy cooking and and having a laugh or a drink or two with my housemates. I'm respectful of other people's space and always clean up after myself. I have a couple of other commitments outside of work so will often be out of the house. Interests include theatre, reading, writing and binging on Netflix. If you're looking for a young, easy-going housemate, hit me up!
Hi! I am an incoming APS Grad student (Dept of Energy/Environment). I am an outgoing and fun person to hang around with while still being very neat, organised and accommodating of other people. I love travelling, socialising and playing sports like soccer/basketball and doing outdoors activities like skiing and hiking.
Hey, I'm Colin. I'm 23 and I'm moving to Canberra for a job in the APS. I was born in Washington DC but grew up in Canberra and came to Melbourne about 5 years ago. I'm super easy going and friendly, enjoy going out with friends but not a huge partier ("perfect combination of cool and not annoying" - current housemate, 2016). Working full time so I won't be coming and going at all hours. No weird/loud hobbies just a lot of TV watching and reading. I've also been living out of home for 5 years so I'm pretty used to picking up after myself and I cook pretty regularly.
Am very easy going and easy to get along with. Enjoy a good glass of wine with dinner after work. I love watching sport of any kind that is on. Am very social but can respect people's space and privacy when needed.
looking for a place to stay for a year or longer sooner rather than later if possible recently finished school where I boarded
I am in the process of moving out, and looking for someone to take over my lease. The best thing about this property (apart from the huge living area and balcony) is the landlord. Very reasonable and flexible, definitely a lot better than renting through an agent. There are 2 bedrooms, I am currently using the main one (1 or 2 nights a week only), which will reduce as I gradually move my things out to hopefully be completely gone within the next month. The full weekly amount is $350, (once I have completely moved out). Until then will accept $300 (as it is essentially furnished for anyone looking to move in straight away). Happy to give up my secure/undercover car park to new tenant. Approval will be subject to the landlord's agreement. It's in a great location - central to Kingston and inner south, Woden, City etc. Willing to negotiate leaving some furnishings behind for new tenant if required.
