It's really rare to find such a well-built detached sharehouse in the inner south. If you're looking for a peaceful home that you can retreat to each night, this could be the place for you. Good insulation, ducted heating and reverse-cycle air conditioning makes it a really comfortable space in winter; and in springtime the garden really comes alive when the jasmine and gardenia bloom. It's a large house so there's lots of different spaces to spend time in, with two living rooms and a large courtyard. The location is close to a rapid line that goes to the City, Barton and Woden.
Brief overview of myself I’m 24, I work for a bridge construction and civil company from Melbourne. I am up here in Canberra working on the Queanbeyan bypass until Christmas. I work 6 days a week so you will barely see me! Looking for a room to rent in Kingston/Griffith ideally but would be interested in anywhere that is less that 20 minutes drive to Queanbeyan. I am very very easy going, tidy and respectful of people’s belongings and space! Always up for a chat and a laugh. I’m not one to party or have heaps of guests over! My interest are fishing, diving and basically anything outdoors. Anything else you would like to know please do not hesitate to ask!!
Smallest bedroom in a vegetarian household, with an indoor doggo. The room gets plenty of sunshine during the day, has a built in wardrobe, and venetian blinds. It can fit a queen size bed and desk/shelf easily. (Flexible with bedroom furniture). The house is situated on a quiet, leafy street in Narrabundah. Very short walk to the #6 Green Rapid bus near Narrabundah College, close proximity to Fyshwick markets and inner south (Manuka, Kingston, Barton), and a leisurely cycle to the lake and direction of the city. Our home is fully furnished: cosy living room with tv and heating, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, one shared bathroom, growing collection of indoor plant friends, laundry room with washing machine and dryer, deck that overlooks leafy fenced backyard with trees that fruit during the warmer months and space for a veggie patch, compost bin, one carport and space for other cars in the driveway/on the grass. We are looking for someone who is after a home rather than another sharehouse. We are both clean, tidy, and respect each other's privacy as well as our shared spaces. While we have passed the days of house parties, we enjoy the occasional dinner gathering, sharing a cup of tea (or five), and Netflix of course. You don’t have to be vegetarian, but respect that it’s a meat-free household, except for what the doggo eats. Probably a good idea if you like dogs. Rent is $170 per week (paid fortnightly). Gas, electricity, water, and internet is additional to rent. Bond is four weeks of rent. Flexible with dates. Enquire within :)
Very easy going and love to make people laugh. I also love getting people together and having a great Time whether that’s with good food, food wine or just good company. Been told my lasagne is of Nonna status, their words not mine. Very ambitious and found a line of work which I love and really getting stuck into it.
I'm currently studying IR at ANU and am looking into moving off-campus into a two bedroom flat at the start of next year. I love to just chill out and read (I'm a giant bookworm and spend 90% of my time reading) or watch Netflix. I'm fairly quiet and not the most social person, so the chances of me ever having more than one person over at a time is slim to none, but I love a good chat and movie marathon. I'm very tidy and will always keep up my end of the cleaning deal.
Hi, my name's Adam (on the right), 34, I'm relocating back to Canberra (from eastern Victoria) for work. I work in exhibitions / cultural sector. Lifestyle wise, I'm big on yoga, fitness and health. I'm a pilates instructor (mat mainly), a spin/cycle/RPM instructor and teach the very occasional yoga class. I have a design background in exhibitions and interior architecture. I've also done some work in fashion and have been doing post-grad study in graphic design and illustration (on and off ... off for the next six months). So I like to dabble in some drawing when I have some time. I enjoy quiet nights and weekends just as much as social nights (preferably not mid-week) and weekends. I'm an early riser (as group fitness instructors are). I've lived in share houses for many years so I know the drill - like to be clean, tidy, eat well, etc. I will be in Canberra to find a place / inspect: Friday 28th June - after 6PM Saturday 29th June - anytime Sunday 30th June - anytime Monday 1st June - before 10am I aim to move between July 8th and 12th as I start my job on the 15th of July.
Hi :) I have moved to Canberra 6 months ago from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and have been renting an apartment by myself in Phillip. As renting by myself has become a touch too expensive I have decided to try Flatmates to share the load. I work Full-time in Fyshwick as a Business Analyst and spend my Tuesday and Thursday nights training an under 16 boys soccer team along with playing for a team on Saturday's. When I do have down time I like to spend it watching tv and having a few drinks with friends in the civic area. If I sound like the kind of roommate for you please get in contact. Thank you
Hi! I'm a 27yo Frenchie, been living in Aus since 6 years (almost citizen yeahhh!) I recently changed job hence I'm looking for a new sharehouse south side (actually living in Gungahlin but working in O'Malley and Kambah; I love driving but the going north to south and back everyday is getting a bit much haha) I work in an embassy during office hours, and part time as salesperson / bartender / event manager in a distillery on some evenings & week-ends. On my free time I love going hiking and bike riding or anything else outdoors! I'm looking for a friendly house or flatshare where we share a meal & a glass of wine or cocktail (promised I make good ones hehe!) from time to time, but also respect each other's privacy & the place by cleaning after one's self See ya, à bientôt!
Hi, I am a relaxed, quiet and friendly person to live with. I like to be able to have a nice chat with my housemates, do the odd thing together like grab a coffee/dinner or go on a hike, but also have the freedom to live our own lives. I am looking to either move into an existing home or find and set up a place with another person. I'm not too worried about location, as long as it's in the ACT. I'd like somewhere looking for a long term housemate, at least 12 months but if you want to say 6 months initially to see how we go then thats fine. I like a clean house, I'll normally wipe the kitchen bench down whilst the kettles boiling, do my washing up right after I've eaten, vacuum regularly etc. I'm not someone who will be jumping up and down if you're not the same though, if the sink isn't left piled up for days on end I'm happy :). I love mowing the lawn, I'm not much of a gardener but happy to give it a go or be assistant for someone with a green thumb. I work close to full time hours, starting at 7am and finishing normally around 2pm. After work you will either find me at my desk working on 'a project', on the exercise bike or off on a hike/walk at one of Canberra's mountains, or reading a book. I'm keen to try out new hobbies, so if you're looking for a housemate who can go on the odd adventure with you, or wants to try something creative, that's me! I'm not an entertainer, so I wouldn't have groups of friends coming around, and my partying days are behind me. Getting old. I don't smoke or do drugs, I don't drink either but I'll happily enjoy a coffee or coke whilst you enjoy a few beers. I'm in a nice place at the moment with a couple who are friends, however unfortunately it may not be able to continue longer term, so I'm seeing what is out there. I'm not in a rush to move elsewhere, but I can move quickly if I find the right place. Looking forward to meeting my potential future housemates, feel free to send through any questions you have, and I'm happy to meet up for a coffee.
Quiet and self-sufficient man. Work at a supermarket. For fun I like to meet up with friends, watch youtube, and row. Just looking for a room in a house.
I am friendly and easy going Tidy, clean and quiet I don't smoke or drink (well maybe social drinks) I am never home Need a place starting on July 10th 2019
