Hi, I am Kim and I am relocating to Canberra to start an exciting new job in the arts industry. I am a very creative person, and have travelled a lot over the years, and so I tend to get along with people from all walks of life. I am looking for friendly and easy going house mates, who are independent, yet enjoy a chat. I am used to living in share houses in Australia and overseas, and I am cooperative and responsible in regards to the usual household duties and bills. I hope to find a place this or early next month. At home I like to play a little guitar, work on some craft or art, cook and have a chat when people are around.
A really well appointed loft style unit, seperate spaces for privacy. All mod cons. Grounds have tennis court, swimming pool & gym. I am used to having a boarder so understand privacy, boundaries etc. I cook a lot so food is a bonus.
Hey, I'm Elise! I'm twenty, I work at Luton Properties full time. I love to stay fit by going to f45, the occasional night out ( but not a party animal ) and spending time with my family, my family puppy ( English bulldog who can come for visits ) & friends. I'm looking for someone that I can socialise with, while still respecting each other's privacy and space. I'm a clean & tidy person and enjoy cooking yummy meals! I usually go home to see my family most weekends, so I'm hardly home most of the time. Please contact me if you think I'd be great in your place or if you would like to get a place with me!
Hi. I'm an easy-going, tidy, reliable, respectful, and responsible flatmate. I'm looking for a room, preferably furnished and with own ensuite/bathroom, for six months. I have a great job - I'm a UX Designer - and sometimes travel for work. I'm renovating a house in Orange, so I head back there at least one weekend a month. I enjoy travel, trivia, board games, movies (especially foreign and arthouse), TV/Netflix, cooking, swimming and reading.
Hey! So I'm a student studying at CMA in mitchell, next year I'll be a qualified beauty therapist I'm quite, clean and very friendly. I tend to get along with anyone. I keep to myself a lot. Although, I don't mind spending a few nights together or having a chat. I'm young and creative and enjoy just hanging around watching Netflix or doing some baking. Always been a Canberra gal, im not a loud person nor am I a partier. That doesn't stop me from the one off nights where I might wanna go out (although I haven't been out for nearly 2 years). I'd be down with hanging around & having a few drinks. I have a small inside dog, everyone adores him, his a great dog who gets along with other animals too. His names Xavier and his a shoodle :) I can't afford much due to being a student, once I'm a qualified therapist I hope to do mobile/at home treatments. I would prefer living with another individual or alone. This is due to me being extremely shy and anxious. I would like to open up and meet new people though too. I'm recently broken up from my partner of 3 years, still currently living with him. We are still extremely close, so there is chance every so often of him staying the night.
Hi, I am a quiet, clean friendly girl who likes company and a chat but also really likes coming home at the end of day and spending time alone. I enjoy playing a bit of sport, relaxing with a wine and trashy tv and going out with friends. Whilst I enjoy being social but tend not to have friends over too regularly. I am clean and respectful, open and happy to chat about any concerns or requirements that you may have in regards to being housemates.
I'm a part-time bookseller, currently looking for full-time work. I'm social, enjoy meeting new people, and am happy to join in with group activities. I can bring my own furniture, and don't need a furnished room. I can provide a television and video game consoles, if that interests anyone. I also have a small board game collection, and make excellent pizza. The moving date is not set in stone, I am happy to arrange to move in earlier or later.
I am currently cycle touring around Australia (since March) and will be coming back to Canberra on the 15th August. I am looking for a place (preferably furnished) in the Inner South as I have put all my furniture in storage. I work full time and am reasonably mature. I can be quiet at times but do also like to be social and enjoy the occasional drink with flatmates. I think I am reasonably clean and neat and would hope for the same with anyone I an sharing with. I'm fairly keen on cycling and a large part of my social life is taken up with that. The only thing I need space for is 3 bicycles (2 of which could probably go in my room). I don't have a car (do all my commuting by bike/walking or car share - so a car space is not an issue for me. Oh and that terrible hair growth on my face goes when I get back from my trip. Having never gone more than 3 days without shaving I was curious to see what would result. :-)
Just moved back to Canberra at the start of this year permanently. I'm 40 years old, work fulltime in signage sales Mon - Friday and also part own a kids sporting club which runs three nights a week and Sundays. I like to think I'm clean, honest, reliable with rent and low maintenance. Hoping to share with someone like minded who is also a good communicator when it comes to respecting each other. Looking for a 6 month term with the option of extending if things go well.
It's a fully furnished room in a fully furnished 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment that is easy to heat in winter and cool in summer. We have all the necessities, Netflix and unlimited wifi which is an additional $25 per month. Electricity would be split 4 ways. We're located about 5 minutes from Manuka, 10 minutes from Woden and 15 minutes from the city.
I'm quiet, clean, love a mix of time to myself and keeping company. I love boardgames and will probably Lok to explore some of the nature reserves whilst I'm in Canberra (moving from Sydney for work) :). Moving from Sydney I have a load of kitchen gear (including appliances), a couch, a tv, a coffee table, table and chairs to contribute to setting up a place.
Hello! I have just moved from Sydney from a dream sharehouse for a public service gig and looking to replicate similar level of happiness. Previous housemates may describe me as having good banter, social and organised. Also appreciate my down time too. On the lookout for housemates who are easygoing, fun and woke in a place with a good vibe!
Hey there potential roomies! My names Ellie I'm a fun loving nurse working full time at canberra hospital. I am clean and tidy and have expierienced sharehousing situations before. I love to bake and am always happy to chat with my flatmates. I am looking at getting a pet dog soon but can hold off if not a pet friendly home. I do have a boyfriend who will sleep over some nights. I tend to stick to my private areas and will be working early and afternoon shifts. If i sound ideal to you please shoot me a message. I really need accomodation asap as my previous agreement fell through.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and fairly adjustable. I like to socialize but at the same time do my own thing. Really love to cook, play a few sports (cricket, football) and learning to play the guitar (New hobby :p). Would preferably look for an accommodation in south Canberra or city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. Peter is 24, an audiologist who will be working on Northbourne Avenue. You can expect us to keep our area tidy and clean, contribute to our fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I consider myself to be clean, honest, considerate, courteous, responsible, capable, non judgemental and mature for my age. I get on well and feel comfortable with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I enjoy both my own time to rest and recharge as well as socialising when possible. I have been fortunate enough to secure an apprenticeship at the place I wished to work at near the Kingston foreshore. My job and its location are excellent as are my co-workers. We get on very well and like to get together and socialise occasionally. So I am happy, content, easy going and focused on my job and future. I just need to be able to find a place to share with like minded people, much closer to work, as soon as possible, in order to avoid the 3hr per day commute that has plagued me for the last 11 months (and my life would be almost perfect).
I'm a friendly, easygoing, clean and tidy, social housemate with lots of share housing experience. I want to live in a house where housemates enjoy the occasional dinner and drinks together, and are able to have friends over occasionally, but who are also independent and respectful of each other's space. I work in the APS, studied law and arts at uni, and love hiking, yoga, cooking, reading and squash. And more! I like to be busy, to travel and meet new people, and to explore new interests. I'm looking to meet like-minded people to share a house or apartment with, in a location cycling-distance to Barton, and am flexible in my moving dates. Ideally the available room would be large, and preferably with its own bathroom (but not necessarily needed).
Hi, I am an engineer by profession who is moving to Canberra from Dubai. I will be a full time employee with ACT Health and my workplace will be in Symonston therefore looking for an accommodation in a nearby area so I can walk or use Public transport to reach my workplace until I get a Car.
I live in a 3BD, 2BR apartment in the new Axiom complex in Griffith and have one room available for rent. The room is brand new and has a big sliding door to allow plenty of natural light in and give you direct access to the balcony. There are shut out blinds for privacy and mesh blinds for limiting the sunlight coming in. You will also have a separate bathroom with its own spacious shower. The bathroom doubles as a shared laundry, but this can be hidden behind doors when not in use and does not take up too much space. The lounge room is fully furnished, has reverse cycle air conditioning, and there is an outdoor gas heater on the balcony so you can be cosy outside too! We have unlimited VDSL internet with fast speeds (up to 40 Mb/sec) which is included in the rent, a Netflix subscription on the TV, an Xbox One and an Optus Sport subscription that I’m happy to share (to get your Prem fix). The complex also has a common use BBQ in the courtyard that would be great for parties! We are a 3 minute drive (or 15 minute walk) from Manuka, which has a Coles, 24/7 Maccas and a bunch of other places to go out and eat. We’re also super close to the Kingston shops with some great cafes, and a bit past that is the Kingston Foreshore. There are bus stops nearby, and plenty of on-street parking behind the building and on surrounding streets where you can leave your car during the day if you don’t drive to work.
This older style flat is an affordable option to consider if you are looking for something in the Kingston/Manuka area. There are lots of restaurants, bars and cafes to try out if you are new to Canberra. Public transport to Civic (routes 4, 5 and 200) and even the train station is nearby. The room is medium-sized so a queen bed will fit in nicely and there is plenty of clothes storage in the inbuilt wardrobe. The toilet is shared but you will have your own ensuite and the covered parking spot is all yours. Happy to share the housework which is very minimal in any case. The lease for the property will end in November but there is the option to extend.
Hi Everyone Our current group is going its separate ways and we're looking for a new group to take our place in this spacious and perfectly located residence. Our lease still has a couple of months to go, but you'd sign for 12 months with the landlord. Speaking of landlords, she's great in terms of groups and pets and only does annual inspections. The house itself is perfect for sharing with two bathrooms and separate living areas. Double brick walls give a sense of privacy. Cozy fire place in winter, natural light in winter and most importantly, close to literally EVERYTHING. Avoid the hassle of explaining your group to a real estate agent and get in touch.

I like having a good convo or sharing a laugh or listening to music. I also look to keep fit, and enjoy being a foodie. I don't usually cook my own food though. Hello! I'm a friendly full time public servant looking for a new place to call home. I've lived in a few share houses over the years so I'm good with keeping communal areas clean and tidy as well as respecting personal space. I'm easy going, considerate, quite into music, enjoy catching up on a few tv shows (the expanse, and doctor who amongst others) and a good hike. When i'm home I'm generally happy to share a meal, socialise or just shoot the breeze about life and stuff.
I am a peoples person. I am from South Africa and am currently studying sports surgery. For fun I like to cycle and walk. I am a perfectionist. Kindly include meals and washing and ironing per week with a moslem family and my budget is 350 Dolars
I'm a 20 year old male, just did my 1st year living away from home in shared accommodation in Deakin which is a little crowded for me now. I'm with the AFP and am work focused, I love my sports and fitness. I am very social and love meeting new people, have a tight group of colleagues that I hang with, so I am occasionally away on weekends. Looking for a long term residence near Barton on the door step of my workplace, as I walk everywhere mostly as my car is interstate with the parents in Queensland.
Hi Flatmates, Joss H (housemate 2015/2016) said I am "Fun, easy going and relaxed. Love to laugh but also very responsible and well mannered". 2015/16 I was living back home in Western Australia working as an Events Manager but have made the move back to the east coast to attend Canberra University and work part -time in HR. I have been staying with family in Murrumbateman while I found my feet here in the ACT but the commute is starting to take its toll. In Wa I was living with some married friends one of which works in Brazil so one minute it was a girls house and for every second month its a mixed house (I'm adaptable). After growing up in Margaret River I enjoy a good vino instead of a night out.My old housemate Emma D always calls me up for a laugh and a good dance around the house when I'm home. I love cooking dinners to catch up with my housemates but also enjoy a good balanced household where everyone does their own thing. If you think you could live with an outgoing, caring human, send me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you. *I have plenty of references if needed.
