Hey:) I'm woman in early 40s looking to join or establish a share home with 1 or 2 others. I'm a creative and social justice minded person with a lot of experience house sharing looking for similarly experienced share housers. I consider myself an open minded and compassionate person and would love to live with like-minded LGBQTI friendly folk - preferably female identifying or other gender identifying who are respectful to people regardless of gender. I'm vaccinated and ideally interested in living with folk open to covid vaccination. Keen to foster a home rather than house atmosphere, and appreciate a chats over tea or shared meal when schedules align. I do also appreciate some quiet time and can see when others need theirs. I work in the environment and creative sectors (music) a few days at home and a few days at work, and am reliable for paying bills on time. I like pets but dont have any ( but sadly have some cat hair allergies so there's a good chance some pets will give me allergies). Interests include cooking, languages, yoga, reading, music, singing, seeing live music, dancing, spirituality, personal development, gardening. Interested in living green ( e.g. using recycling bin, using energy efficiently and prefer likewise). Fan of a clean home with a lived in feel so happy to do a roster if needs. Would be good to have own bathroom or an option for someone to have a bathroom if they get covid , and at least a loo separate to bathroom ( would love a bath!). Keen for a decent heating system for colder months. In ideal world would love to have a space that I could use for my music (eg largish bedroom or spare room or extra living room )( I am in to jazz and folk - singing and piano/ guitar, and to do some singing teaching from and keen to get back in to song writing). Flexible moving date. Pls message me if we could align :) Open to moving in to existing place or teaming up to start a new one.

$400/week36 year old man

Hi, I am a single, clean, quiet, Australian, moving to Canberra from Sydney for work. I like my privacy, peace and quiet most of the time. So I'm looking for either my own place or sharing with 1-2 quiet people. My main job will be office-based but my second job is WFH after-hours so ideally I want housemates that don't work fom home evenings & weekends so we don't disturb each other. But if you work from home weekday business hours that won't be an issue. I'm independent and like my downtime but would like to socialise on occasion as I get lonely. I enjoy video games, board games, trivia, bushwalking and gym. Essential: Indoor cat-friendly. If you have pets they need to be ok with cats. If there is no attached bathroom/ensuite then the cat has a litter tray that would go in a bathroom or the laundry - people need to be ok with that. The cat has to sleep somewhere that can access the litter tray (not my bedroom as my door will be shut when I sleep) Ideal features: * Quiet, peaceful location (no plane/train/truck noise) and bedroom has privacy. Quiet neighbours too. * English-speaking housemate(s). * Non-smokers that includes visitors. * Need to be LGBT tolerant/inclusive * No shiftworkers ideally or people coming/going early morning or late nights, unless you are able to come/go quietly, then it won't be an issue. * The room needs to be at least 3x3.5m (bigger if no BIR) to fit queen bed, tv and desk * Respectful, considerate, sensible housemates. * Fast, unlimited (preferably) internet (at least available if not already connected) * Available for at least 6 months * Housemates not OCD about cleaning (I am happy to pay for a cleaner) * I may need space somewhere for my own fridge/freezer unless yours is huge/has plenty of space. * Ensuite * Storage space Bonus: * Fenced yard * Greenery/natural surrounds My budget is including everything - no extra charges please. My cat is house-trained, hypoallergenic, non-shedding and is used to spending a lot of time indoors. He can be restricted from any room that has a door and can stay in my room exclusively if you prefer. I want to get another cat in the future, however this can be delayed if the household already has another pet that is friendly with my cat. I am in Sydney so any inspections outside of Sydney need to be done virtually, at least in the first instance. I would like to see a floor plan first - just a rough, hand-drawn one will do. A chat with housemates, then if that goes well am happy to come down and pay bond/get keys etc before move-in day. I will likely have to compromise on some things so not expecting to find an ideal place straight away. Anywhere in or around Canberra will do.

$300/week19 year old woman

Hi there! I'm a new student starting a Bachelor of Arts Degree at ANU at the start of 2023. I own my own business in disability support care but plan on expanding when I come to Canberra. I'm very easy going and keen to get to know others. I would say I'm definitely proud of my home and like to keep it clean and tidy. I am turning 20 soon and although I am currently living at home, I pay weekly rent and have a lot of responsibilities. We are all adults and work together with healthy communication to create a good environment for everyone. I have experience living out of home, for example living in Japan as an exchange student. I'm definitely less of a party person and more of a stay at home person but I do love to hang out with friends. I am fine with sharing space with others, whether that be each doing our own things or enjoying time together. With me, I have my two year old kelpie/border collie named Kenai. He's extremely friendly with people always asking for a scratch and other dogs he knows. He has been crate and toilet trained and does not destroy things around the home. Kenai is a lovely dog and only barks if he sees a stranger coming up the driveway, but I've taught him to come to me/go to his bed whenever people come over and he immediately stops barking. He has many enrichment activities and is walked/exercised daily. Despite being an energetic breed though, he loves a good nap! We both enjoy walking/biking/hiking/kayaking/camping and most adventurous things. I've also found having plants and playing DND great new hobbies of mine. I especially love reading books, listening to music and creating DND campaigns in my free time. I'm looking forward to moving to Canberra!
