Moving to Canberra to start full-time work as part of the APS. Avid photographer and reader. Always happy to chat and socialise, but also appreciate alone time. I am tidy and clean up after myself, but also desperately learning how to cook: any help would be appreciated!
Hi! I've just moved to Canberra for my first full-time job - Intern in Canberra and Calvary hospitals. I've only been to Canberra once and am not too familiar with which suburb to live in - wouldn't mind driving 10-20mins to work. I've lived in university on-campus accommodation and shared house with ensuite bathroom in the past. I am hoping to find a quiet, clean and tidy place with respectful housemates (preferably females). I would be keen for occasional housemate(s) gathering, if I'm not too tired from work. I enjoy exploring new places, going to cafes, and exercising (but sometimes I do get lazy). Looking for places which are flexible with length of stay - I'd definitely prefer not to move around too often, but wanna make sure I really like the place before committing long term. Thanks
Hi I'm Kate, I'm a Health Science student passionate about Public Health. I love to read, go running and cycling, and gardening. I'm pretty quiet and easygoing. I'm look for a place for 7 weeks in Canberra as I will be doing an internship in Deakin. 25 Feb to 14 April inclusive.
About to start full time work, looking for a place to call my own where I can have my own separate space. Love to read, paint and do yoga :)
House-trained final year medical student (this means: busy most days (at least) 9-5, studying most nights, keen to have company over meals when that works out). Financially secure (I have a scholarship and work part time). I've lived all over Australia, enjoy meeting people, cooking, conversation, the odd glass of wine. Looking for quiet household where I can study and relax. I like outdoorsy things (hiking, cycling, water sports) when time permits. Happy to live with those who value privacy and prefer to do their own thing but equally flexible and enjoy social interaction with housemates during downtime.
I'm down to earth and like to learn from the people around me. I need a bit of solitude from time to time, but also make an effort to be a supportive housemate. The outdoors, exercise, and conversations over coffee are some of the things that I enjoy most. I'm a small business owner looking to knuckle down for the year ahead. I'm looking to either team up with one or two others to find a house to rent, or move into an existing share house. If you think we'd get along as housemates, please get in touch.
Hi, I am a 24 yr old male. Currently working fulltime with Capital Football and Canberra United managing the W-League team and managing the high performance programs for Football in the Canberra Region. I'm looking for a house with a friend of mine, Andrew, who is a 25yr old male, also working fulltime as an engineer for a firm in Fyshwick. We're looking for two bedrooms in a house (preferably) somewhere on the inner south or south side of Canberra so that we can remain close to work and family. Outside of work I currently play AFL for Eastlake football club and am studying a Master of Commerce online at RMIT. I'm very easy going and enjoying spending my down time out with some friends or reading books. Both of us are from Canberra, born and raised, and extremely respectful of others and their own space. We like to hang out with others and cook meals, however, are also respecting of people's privacy and own space. We're looking to move in as soon as possible and happy to contribute to whatever the household requires (furniture etc.)
I’ve just finished my Bachelor of Nursing degree at University and have secured a full-time position at The Canberra Hospital. Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere quite close to Woden for this reason. I am due to start in April so would be wanting to move in around mid March. I’ve lived at home during the time I’ve been at University so this will be the first time I have lived out of home. I don’t smoke, and am clean and tidy. I have respect for other people as well as other people’s things. ☺️
Hey, my name is Jamie and I'll be studying in Canberra. I'm easygoing and more than happy to help around the house. I enjoy cooking, photography, and going for runs. I like going out but prefer Netflix and a heavy doona most nights. So far this is sounding very cliche so I may as well double-down and cover all my bases by stating that I'm looking for a fun but relaxed; open but cosy; quiet but adventurous place to live. To be honest, I'm quiet and respectful and I'm looking for a place that matches.
Hi, I'm in my mid-30s and work F/T. I'm looking to move into an unfurnished room with plenty of space, and also a little storage space. I'm tidy and clean, chatty, but respectful of others' space. Fairly busy and independent, love keeping active and getting outdoors when I can (walks & hikes, trips to the coast), although I do have a horrible penchant for TV when the Bachie is on. Looking for house mates of roughly the same age and who also work F/T, and it is most important to me that we all click and also have the same living expectations. If it sounds like I would fit your household, get in touch! Gabby
I'm currently working part time at a clothing store and will be starting part time study in Beauty Therapy in February. I've been renting/in share homes for a year now and I'm looking for somewhere new. I love to cook healthy meals and keep active and would love to share a home with someone with a similar lifestyle (although not essential).
I am working as an APS at the Department of Finance. I love nature, watching artistic films and want to get back into reading. I am looking for walking distance to Forrest or a maximum of 45 minute public transport commute to Forrest. I am very flexible and do not require a personal bathroom.
Hi, I work as a Finance / Business Manager in the NFP sector in Canberra. I am a friendly, easy going, mature age person who likes to cook, share a laugh and the odd wine. I am a responsible person who respects other people and their belongings. I like to keep houses organised, neat and well maintained. I have good handyman skills, pool maintenace skills, and gardening skills. I have a friendly personality and am a keen sports person. Please call/email me to discuss your accomodation rental requirements and I can tell you more about myself.
I'm currently studying maths and linguistics at ANU and Riley is employed full time. I like to keep my space functional, and Riley is a cleaning god - no seriously she's a machine. We need a place to cook together, tell dumb jokes and be ourselves in. Happy to spin a yarn with others but can respect personal boundaries too. Love animals, and don't mind smokers so long as we have a space to call home. We're looking for a longer lease, and wouldn't mind a bathroom to ourselves - but we're flexible and happy to work with the house.
I am a 26 year with a full time job, who loves to socialize and make new friends. I also love trekking, reading and occasionally binge watching on netflix. I am also very neat and tidy and I am looking forward to moving to Canberra from Brisbane and exploring as much of Canberra as I can.
I am mature and am very adaptable. I am clean and tidy. I enjoy socialising but respect boundaries. I am quite active and enjoy the outdoors. I am currently living in North Queensland and will not be in Canberra until mid January. I am relocating to Canberra to begin work with the Department of Environment. I love animals, so I don't mind if there are pets. Being a North Queenslander, good heating is a must as I am not used to the cold at al. Also I am happy to live in other areas than those I have listed, I am not very familiar with Canberra, so the ones listed are just suburbs that I have googled. I have a car and so public transport isn't a necessity.
Hi! I'm Helen, 21, moving from Brisbane to start a permanent full-time job at Canberra Hospital. I'm looking for a place close to work from the start of Feb for a few months until I get my bearings around Canberra. As my whole life has always been in Brisbane, I anticipate to travel back home quite frequently (fortnightly- monthly), at least for the first few months. I don't have experience with house sharing as I own the home I live in in Brisbane but I am tidy and respectful! I also like my own personal space but am more than happy to have the occasional chit chat, wine and Netflix marathon. I prefer to have my own bathroom, however can be flexible. I also prefer to live with females in a female only flat. I don't mind pets, in fact I'll be excited to share a home with four-legged friend (Allergic to some cats). If you think I might be the right house mate for you, please let me know :)
Quiet nerdy couple (one studying, one working) looking for a chill place to work and study. Happy to occasionally play boardgames and have a drink, enjoy cooking and cleaning. Non-smokers, LGBTI+ friendly.
Hi I'm Rachel, a 24 year-old recent uni grad who's moving to Canberra to start an APS graduate program next year (I don't start work til mid Feb but am happy to sort out a place and start paying rent before then). I'm originally from country Victoria and have spent plenty of time in share houses while at uni in Melbourne so I understand the importance of cleaning up after yourself and respecting other people's privacy. I'm happy chilling in my own room but am always up for a friendly chat or catching up over Netflix, wine or takeaway, plus I love cooking so I'll occasionally make a home-cooked meal (or cake) for the house. I'll be bringing a car with me to Canberra so I'll need a parking space or on-street parking (and am always happy to take housemates to the supermarket or on late-night maccas runs). If it sounds like I could be your ideal housemate (or even just not a total nightmare) for you please let me know, and I'm happy to answer any further questions you might have.
Hi there. My name's Rob and I'm a 26 year old from Sydney moving to Canberra for full time work. I've lived in a couple of share houses so have experience living with others - I keep things tidy, am always willing to do my fair share of cleaning etc. I'm generally easygoing, and enjoy a chat / drink / dinner from time to time, but also appreciate escaping to our own spaces. I enjoy live music, bush-walking, video-games and cooking (and though I'm improving I must admit I've got a long way to go!), and I try to get to the gym at least three times a week.
