We arrived in Melbourne in July and are currently staying in a temporary rental, but now we’re looking for something more permanent, at least 6 months, but ideally 12 months or longer. A little about us: Daniela is a qualified biochemist who recently started a Master’s in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology at La Trobe University (Bundoora campus). She is also working part-time. I, Juan, am a carpenter and currently working full-time as a cabinet maker. We don’t have children or pets. We’re looking for a comfortable, cosy place just for the two of us, ideally a studio, one-bedroom flat, granny flat or apartment. Our preferred areas are Thornbury, Northcote, Preston, Reservoir or Kingsbury, ideally with access to tram 86 or good public transport to La Trobe. We can also provide references from previous landlords (as we have been renting while doing regional work in different parts of Australia), as well as proof of funds or anything else you may require for your peace of mind.
