Although Suburb is listed as Kingston it's actually closer to mount nelson. New House with Air con and peaceful views in a quiet location 5 mins from Hobart cbd and 5mins from UTAS with plenty of parking. Public transport is not an option. I live with my 2 cats and work 11 day fortnights, and like to spend sundays relaxing or getting out and about. I'm a pretty quiet bloke who is looking for someone respectable and easy going.
Our home is right near a sports centre with multiple fields, kingston high school and Kingston shops a 4 minute drive away. There is a bus stop 1 minute walk (probably less) that will take you to sandy Bay and hobart cbd. 14 minute drive to UTAS. Nice backyard to enjoy the sunshine and plenty of sun inside our home.
The room offered is a granny flat WITHOUT ensuite bathroom attached. The main house is just metres away. The granny flat has plenty of space with a separate office and lounge area. It is fully furnished with queen sized bed, a bar fridge, office desk and chair, and a two seater lounge that looks out to the forest. Sorry no couples. The main house has a strawbale extension from a character wooden cottage. It is located high above in Kingston on a 8 acre bushland. Sunsets are great from the rear verandah and many wallabies come out to eat on the lawn. No lawn mowing required! The house also has a wood heater with plenty of wood in the forest!

This includes a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/and several living spaces, a separate toilet, bathroom/laundry with a bathtub and shower, a shared study, and the room that is becoming available. Underneath the house is a garage/workshop, and upstairs includes 2 more bedrooms (already occupied) and a second bathroom with toilet. The backyard is also decent and backs on to a Crown Land reserve, so you can go for bush-walks if you feel like it. It's also a 5-minute walk down to Long Beach, and both levels of the house have peeks of the water. It's so beautiful to sit in the windows of the lounge area to eat breakfast in the sun... so you'll like the summer here! UTAS Sandy Bay campus is a short bus ride (stop is pretty much outside the house), 10 minute cycling (slowly!) or 20-25 minute walk away. The Sandy Bay shops just a few minutes further, and the CBD a few more minutes past that. If driving, an average trip in to the city is under 15 minutes. There is a dog here which belongs to one of the upstairs guys, so you'll need to be ok with that. He's a big softy though, hardly ever barks unless asked to (it's a 'speak' trick) and is really well trained. Current lease period goes until the end of February 2020, so we're looking for someone who will fit the house/housemates well and wants to stay for the 5+ months remaining. All rooms are an even split of the rent ($600 total = $200 each per week) plus bills (usually all equals out to being around $225-$230/week). If you don't have any bedroom furniture, there's a comfy single bed and a few other pieces of furniture I'd be willing to leave for the right person moving in. Cheers!!
